A little bit crammed in here, compared to the conference rooms this look like a dingy public toilet. Tricell soldiers are ordered here for a rundown on a mission they're being sent off to. There's a basic RBG projector in the bag and small wooden desks for each of the operatives to sit at.

Ulrich entered the room with Matt in tow, searching the room. It was completely devoid of people. Maybe going here was not such a good idea. Still, Ulrich entered anyways. He searched the room, looking for something of importance that might help him at least have an idea as to where he should be.
He was starting to think working for Tricell was not such a good idea. The pay may have been good, but it wasn't worth doing nothing. Most people would gladly take a job like this, but not Ulrich. He craved action. It kept him going, and it let him go where he needed to be: out in the air. It let him be free. Most of the time the contractors didn't care either. At least he got the job done, most of them figured.
Ulrich shook his head and turned to the door, watching Matt standing there, looking around for someone to come. Ulrich waved his hand for the man to enter the room.

Matt saw the man waving his hand for him to enter. Then Matt walked in and took a good look around and saw no one. Matt then leaned up against the wall and started waiting or someone to come in the room. He looked over at the man and said: "You probably don't like not knowing who your talking to so ..... I'm Matt Cable. Yours is?" He trailed off trying to see if he was going to get an answer from him. The man too him looked a little older than he was. Matt also remembered another thing from his first job. You can learn to trust someone but keep them at arms length until they do something to keep that trust.

Ulrich looked at the man in disbelief. "You don't ask another Merc their name. They will address you with their own in their time...." Ulrich eased his tone. "My name is Ulrich. Ulrich Vanderbuß." Ulrich wasn't going to play games with the man yet. He had his own agenda to follow.
He continued to search for any information that might be important to him or Matt. Maybe someone had left a report for them or something. He pushed papers apart and found nothing, Frustrated, he pushed some papers out of the way and sat on the desk, clasping his hands together and let them drop to his lap. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask as to how you managed to get this job." He didn't really care too much, but the small talk would certainly pass the time.

Seeing as how it would pass time Matt walk over and sat down at the table across from Ulrich. He then Started to answer his question:
"I was on a job over in France when I heard of this slot being open here. Now when I first heard it I thought it was a rumor. However I got into contact with them and found out it wasn't a rumor at all."
He sat there and propped his head up[ with his arm and then looked at Ulrich and asked:
"How did you get this spot?"

Ulrich nodded, listening to Matt's story. More or less the same thing happened to him. "I was working in Africa at the time. Honestly, I didn't know what Tricell was. You are probably wondering how the hell I didn't hear about them. I never had a TV when I was younger, and I never heard about the outbreak in America. When I saw the pay, though, it didn't matter. Still doesn't. I'm glad to be getting paid this much, for apparently doing nothing."
It was true; Ulrich was working with the local military against a rebellion in one of the smaller cities in Africa. The military was small, and that was why it needed help. During one particular mission, Ulrich asked one of the other mercs he was working with how they were getting paid, seeing as the city could barely afford a military force. The answer: Tricell. Apparently Tricell felt partially responsible for the rebellion, and set a healthy donation to the government of the city. But paying the military was much more expensive, so mercenaries seemed to be the choice for the city.

Matt nodded his head after hearing what Ulrich said. It was good pay even if he wasn't doing anything at all. His white dress shirt was slightly crumpled and his dress coat and pants made him feel stiff while waiting. He then heard the footsteps in the hall. He turned his head to look at the door but the foot steps went past the room. Matt then looked back at Ulrich and said:
"Well I guess what really got me hired was that most of my missions that I did took place around outbreaks and bio-weapons. Other than that I really don't see why they would of have had accepted my contract in the first place."

Ulrich raised his head at those words. "Wait...they hired me for the same reason. I guess they call 'em B.O.W.s." Ulrich chuckled to himself, thinking about the monsters he had fought. "What'd you run into? I mostly ran into the carriers, but the Lickers were..." Ulrich shuddered at the thought of them. Monsters of red, muscular flesh. It was creepy; it was like looking at himself inside-out.

"I have ran into things that would make your flesh crawl." Matt said as he started to remember back on his missions. "I have ran into hunters, licker's, iron maidens [regenerators],cerberus, carriers, and one tyrant. That one I barley survived if I didn't have help." A small smirk came over his face as he remembered that the ex dictator of that country owes him a favor. He sat there looking at the doorway. This time he was a little more upright in his chair.

Russell walked into the briefing room hoping to find someone to shoot the s*** with. He has not had a mission yet and was eager as hell to start causing hell and more. He turned to see the two men sitting in the briefing room doing exactly what he wanted to. He decided he might as well make himself welcome even if these two didn't want him here. He was, after all, a Tricell Inc. employee.
"So no missions for you two yet, either?" Russell said, putting his hands on his wolf head belt buckle.

Matt looked at the man and from what he saw was tricell security. "So they don't even send their own on missions. I figured that they would at least do that." He sat there looking at the man and wondering what he was here for. He then turned and looked at Ulrich and back at him. "So what are in here for?" Matt asked after a couple of seconds of silence. His heavy german accent loomed in the room.

"Why am I here? Well I am the best at what I do. Kill, destroy, protect. I was recruited by Tricell I am guessing because, well if you haven't heard of me, you aren't a real mercenary. My name is Russell Van Zandt, and it seems this company has a thing for Germans. Are you a German too?" pointing to the man who hasn't said a word yet.
Russell walked over to a table close, yet not too close, to the other two guys. "And how did you know that I wasn't hired under contract and one of Tricell?"

"Lucky guess", Matt replied. "I guess the same thing on this guy right across from me. It's hard to tell employee from mercenary here. Unless you are a mercenary or employee yourself." Matt said. He sat there looking at Russell and then his mind started to work to see if he had ever heard of him. The only name he had on his mind at the moment was Symboku Obara[The ex dictator that owes him a favor].

Russell looked Matt in the eyes and said "You have no clue who I am, huh? Well I ain't going to fill you in, cause what matters is not something that happened from before the outbreak but that I'm still not allowed in certain countries legally. These damned Z's though, they make it a hell of a lot easier for a man who is labeled as a terrorist to get into the country."
Russell leaned back in his chair, put his feet up on the table top, and started to play with his knife. "Well since it seems that they aren't calling us anytime soon...You two ever ridden a motorcycle down a zed filled street?" He asked laughing.

Ulrich had had enough. He dismissed the man, looking to Matt. The man appeared to be rowdy. He'd seen the same type in High schools; the same that usually ended up dead. They lied a lot, so it game him no reason to trust him. It only proved his feelings about Tricell. He turned to Matt, testing both him and the other man in the room. "Machst du ganz glauben das mann? Es scheint das nur einen Narr wollen sprechen mögen das."
It was a test. He wasn't scared of either men. He'd been in similar situations before, and even those who acted tough, and even were got their just desserts.
Translated from German: Can you believe this man? I thought only a fool would speak like that.
