That's not exactly what I'm saying. There are plenty of things that staff members can do, but we can't keep putting done threads in a vault when nobody is using them anymore. Our archives would be way too full and what if a member makes up a place in Raccoon City that is a restaurant, then after a while they are done RPing there so the staff decides to put it away in the archives, but then after a few months the same member wants to come back to that same place. The member would have to make a new thread with the same name or the staff would have to dig around for it.
I am also on more places where I get to make threads of the things I do but I think that it's just a little easier to use the threads we got, however, if you would like us to take care of a place to better suit your needs, then we can try looking into that.

well comrade, that's why staff move dead/old/finished threads to a vault or archive so as to not clog up the boards. Would that add on to the work of the mods? Yes. But would it enhance the site? Yes. I come from the most successful Star Wars rp board (SWU) and it's massive there. However, the admins and mods keep the place in tip top shape with their organization without hindering people's creative writing. Your abrasiveness here is unwelcome. I probably shouldn't say anything, but considering I am also a member of SWU, I find your actions here...lowering of SWU. Please, be more courteous of others. sure we may be restricted here but I can point out several issues with SWU, you don't see me comparing, nor anyone else on here, chillax.

no no no ^_^ pardon me for saying this, but you're viewing that hypothetical way too complicatedly. If someone wants to post in a location(in example: a restaurant called Sno's) that has been used in past rp threads then all they'd have to do is make their little creative thread title and indicate in the thread that the setting is at Sno's.
No need what so ever to have to dig up dead threads that were involved with Sno's and there's no need to even make a sub board for it.
If people are free to make their own threads then writers can literally create an infinite amount of possible sub plots and post apocalyptic settings. The real creative juices start flowing as both character and environment evolve at the writers finger tips.
Of course keep the big boards, like all those countries and places in the world y'all have listed, but we need to be able to set out on our own adventure once we're in those places.

Perhaps a party roleplay? Given all the characters have gone through, perhaps we could have, say, a non-storyline party between all of them to relate on what happened, where it did and what not? I think it would be kind of fun! Where it would be and what time, of course, would be at discretion.

All I can picture is a bunch of members on this site roleplay with their characters all sitting at a table and sipping on tea going "Mmmyess..."
Lmfao, but yeah, I think I get what your saying, might be an interesting idea.

Technically, you can do that whenever you want. Plan ahead, pick a location, invite people to join and go at it. I don't think there are any rules against it. Unless you want a specific board for it.

Uh, I don't think this idea is taken, but what about powered exoskeletons. Already in the military and various civilian locations, there are signs of powered armor. The military is designing a combat arsenal to help soldiers move more efficiently with heavier loads. Heck, Cyberdine in Tsukuba University in Japan already have made HAL for civilian and medical use. What I'm basically proposing is if a character with an engineering background would be able to create such a thing? As for potential, none of those Halo concepts such a shields or such, just basic assistive armour. I understand this might get trashed anyway, but I still wanna throw my $.02 out there, so here it is.

Exoskeletons IRL would be clumsy, effective at carrying large loads, but ineffective with zombie evasion. Nothin' stopping ya. though. Of course so long as shields and jet propulsion don't just pop up in RP.

They won't. You see that Youtube video detailing a guy who invented a suit of armour that he claims could block even a bear's bites and claws? That's what I'm aiming towards. No futuristic jet-propulsion (unless a modern-time jetpack is invented, maybe?) or forcefields.

You said some people wanted to do a reboot, correct, Miles? I have no problem doing a reboot, but honestly, That's just gonna confuse a lot of people with the characters they have now on 3.0. And I think if we're gonna do a reboot then I wanna see if I'm able to bring back the two retired characters I had when I first started since I left it at them just wondering around. Whatever is more comortable with staff. I think we would be better of making a reboot catacory so people would be go back and vist 98 (I'm not sure if that's workable or not) then 5.0 can continue with the story line. You also were mentioning the safe havens and checkpoints on the Podcast and I've posted a comment stating so and so. Um, The safe havens would be great for some member's who roleplay in the hazard area's and they wanna venture of to a safe zone and such.

I thought of something else... and something might be in place, but I couldn't find it.
I would like to see a date or season tracker. I know that we are in 2012, but are we in summer, winter, spring, or fall? I know that in certain areas, the weather is vastly different and should be accounted for.... like winter in Minnesota or Colorado.
Or it is just assumed to be the same time we are in right now, but in 2012? Like today's posting is happening in the spring of 2012?

Rhinn that would be cool but considering the posting speed, and the gaps in posts for RPs youd possibly run into situations where in a short 'written' event it may seem like only a few days have past but if we followed a season tracker then the time lines wouldnt match up. I think the system was designed so that the RPers could set the weather. If you want snow, say its snowing but dont say your in southern Florida and it randomly starts snowing. I understand what you want cuz I think it'd be cool too but theres just no good way to match it up with current RPs that are going on.
On another note. If there is no story reboot, or rewrite [or even if there is] could there be an advance in the story? Some kind of event, or new story arch to relate to in the game. Maybe an expansion? Space station, Underground bases, Evolving infected, or something to kinda switch up the pace a bit. I just think it'd be more interesting because it seems that as it stands the two big powers in the world [BSAA and Tricell] havent been incorporated much lately. I'd be up to discussing it or helping to plan for anything.
