"Me?Well don't really know anyone this group,"Ki answered"I just happened along when their ship crashed.Thought I'd give them some help."Ki examined the man a little bit.He looked pretty carefree, killing whoever he pleased.Looked pretty tough too.Ki was glad he was on his side, for now at least.Ki looked up at the sky,it was getting late,Hyperion,Dahl, and whoever else were after these people would expect them to keep driving and get to the nearest town.It would be best to camp the night out,get to know who he was helping. "Look,"Ki said to the man."I know your on our side, for now at least.I know these girls can handle themselves, but they might need some help.If you help me protect them, at least until we get to the nearest town.I know a gun dealer there who can get you what need.We got a deal?"Ki stuck out his hand to make the deal.

Shae shrugged, "if you at least try then that's fine. But I think you can do better." She drew her atlas repeater, took the girls hand, placed the pistol into it grip first, and brought the barrel to her forehead. "If you wish me dead, pull the trigger now, for you will have no better chance to kill me."
She grinned at the shocked expression on the girls face. "This is your only good chance. After this you wont be so fortunate." She knew eyes were on them, and after 20 seconds, she removed the barrel from her head. "Good. Keep the pistol for now, ill have it back when we get you some guns for yourself." She looked her over. "Maybe some new clothes as well."

Leigh felt the weight of the pistol in her hands, turning it over and inspecting it before she slipped it into the back of her jumpsuit.
The woman had been right, she would need new clothes soon and a weapon of her own. Going around in what she was wearing would mean she would be easily spotted, and more than likely killed on sight. New clothes would at least disguise her presence, at least until the bodies started turning up. That always gave her away. Maybe she would be more discreet this time.
"I'll behave. I will do my best to keep from killing anyone you don't tell me to. I guess I owe you that much for not killing me."

Now this was a very interesting deal. Not in the most straight forward sense, its what wasnt being said that got the guys attention. Not failure to give out his name, that wasnt important, and he was glad to not worry about it. The guy knew the area of Pandora like the back of his johnson, if there was a gun dealer that the kid knew that he didnt, it would be more than surprising, so it must have been something else the kid was offering. But for lack of an explaination on what that something was exactly, the guy just shook his hand, and nodded. "Sure, why not."
Grabbing the backpack from the trunk of his jeep, the guy strapped it on, along with the two of his guns and all of his ammunition. It wasnt much, bit it would be enough. He didnt need to shoot much, do by the time he did run low, there was already another bunch ready to use from the dead. Its how it usually worked, and how he saved his money. The guy jumped down off of the overpass, landing on the ground with a thud and a little grunt. He was used to the gravity here on Pandora, but it still hit him, especially now that he was getting older. The guy left his jeep on top of the rock. Anybody that came this close to the ants nest wouldnt bother with it, and anybody that wasnt scared of an ants nest like this wouldnt need the peice of crap rig like that. That, and the stupid bandits would just assume it was a trap, a perfectly driveable vehicle out in the open like that.
As he approached the two, not looking back to see if the kid followed him immediately afterwords or ran on ahead, the guy got a closer look at the ladies. Two ladies, one young girl, but he wasnt about to call her out on it. "Ladies. I take it were going through there, huh? I could help lead the way." Interestingly enough, the guy knew they were going to say yes, or at least he was pretty sure they were anyways. If not, he would have to convince the kid to spoil the surprise and tell him about this gun dealer. But all things considered, a group like this, they had some serious business, and would need all the help they could get. And by help, he meant firepower. "We can talk about payment later, but as a forward, my rates are cheap. Only when theirs a pretty girl involved." The headgame might have been enough to merit a bullet in the gut, but when the guy made eye contact with the would be bandit psycho, he would find out here and now if he was tagging along or not.

As the one man was rambling on to the girls Ki went and grabbed his two tents in his trunk, one was for escort missions.Ki then went over to a nearby alcove in the side of the cliff. When the other noticed what he was doing he had already finished setting them up. "We rest here tonight."Ki explained"The girls get the tents me an the other guy will sleep out here."I'll take first watch," It was 9:30 PM.Ki knew this because his brother taught him one night, the night he was kidnapped. That night still haunts his dreams.Ki was able to get to know the one man a little bit.He learned his name was Guy and that was about it.He drifted off to sleep awhile ago though.Ki got up and wandered over to where Guy was sleeping. "Get up it's your shift."Ki said"Wake me up at sunrise."Ki didn't even care what that man said or if he even said anything. He just plopped down and fell asleep, it was a long day.

Shae Woke 2 hours before sunrise, intent on looking at the now deceased lead archaeologist's echo recorder. looking through it and listening to his logs was informative but also troubling. she was still intent on opening the vault, killing its guardian and taking its treasure, but without the vault key fragments, they were stumped. however, the opposing parties didn't have what they had, the coordinates to the vault.
that made them targets.
she woke everyone up an hour before sunrise, wanting to get away early. about 15 minutes later they were on their way. navigating the pass was a cinch, and before they knew it, they were out of the pass and into open desert. finding a road, they followed it to a town called "prosperity junction". looked like a rundown town that was probably decently wealthy at one point in time, but looked very worse for wear from the turbulent events of the last decade.
slowly going along they found a couple weapon and ammo vending machines, all apparently owned by the same bearded guy. along side these was a clothing and what seemed like a military equipment disposal store.
she turned to leigh, who during the trip had told them her name. "go get some new clothes, here" she said, handing her a sizable stack of cash, "get some good quality clothing, maybe some lightweight armour along with it, we'll get you some guns when we come out." going into the store she looked around, spying a half-faced gasmask configured to look like the lower half of a skull. this along with some driving goggles she felt more prepared, though she was tempted to buy a full helmet considering where she was, she had long ago learned that she worked a lot better when she could see more clearly. then she noticed something else.
weapon parts.
in particular, weapon parts for a digistructing back mounted rocket launcher, or storm-launcher.
weapon parts that she needed to fix her favourite weapon system.
buying all the necessary parts, she quickly digistructed her storm-launcher, and started making the necessary fixes quickly. when she had left the crimson raiders, they had corrupted the digital information that her digistructor needed to make it functional. but now she had a fully operational storm-launcher.
she was almost giddy with excitement.
when she had finished she turned to see what leigh had bought.

Leigh had come back with a set of camouflaged fatigues, desert patterned with a white half shirt. The undershirt was evident because her top was open completely, letting her pale stomach show, as well as the top of what could be considered very scandalous underwear peeking through the tops of her pants. If their newfound guide had taken a fancy to her, she was going to do her best to make sure he stuck around. Prison had been very lonely after all.
She handed the woman back her pistol, grinning like a fool as she showed off the Viper revolver on her hip, and the ammunition for it tucked away in a pants pocket. On the other hip she carried a long knife, one that looked viciously sharp.
"I work good in close quarters. Too many stupid people had found that out back in the pit."
She also handed the woman back her money, giving her a devious smile as she did. The merchant had been very...willing to trade favors for her supplies. She didn't even have to kill him.
"So, find anything pretty? Something to wow the boys with?> I know I can't wait to see what dies from mine."

Now normally, if these people had been on the run, which they were, maybe routing them to a town had been a bad idea. Which it was, most of the time, obvioudly. But this town wasnt like that. It was different, that being the guy didnt know anybody there, and judging by the way the people inside werent giving him dirty looks, nobody knew who he was either, so this place was clear of anybody looking for anything in particular. To anybody after them, they wouldve probably checked out Velmontgomery, or Check-Check first, even though Check-Check would shoot people like them at the door. The bandits and whoever didnt know that, otherwise they wouldve been here already, and not there.
Conversation between the ladies was a little more intended, and for the most part, they avoid conversation with Guy and the kid, who stuck together. They all seemed to run off in their own directions, but since they were spending any amount of time here, mostly because they could, the guy wanted to see if he could get a word in and find out exactly what the plan was besides just running. Maybe getting into their business wouldnt been good business, or maybe it was. He wouldnt know until he asked. Instead of finding the ladies though, strangely enough he found the kid before the psycho. "Dont suppose you know anything I dont, do you? I mean, if im going to stick my neck out for these people, im thinking I should be in the know zone. Im sure your curious too, right? Lets go find them, kid."

Ki wasn't one to ask questions, but Guy had a point. Was he even helping the good guys or were these guys wanted criminals. "I agree with you,"Ki said"Lets go find them."Ki and Guy began searching around prosperity junction for the girls. They eventually found them hanging out at the inn's bar. Before Ki and Guy could sit down and ask them some questions they were interrupted. "Hey Ki glad to see you back in town," "Not now Joseph."Ki interrupted"But but but I got."Joseph started"Not now.Later."Ki said. After the interruption Ki and Guy sat down next to the girls "So I think we need to talk."Ki said siting down.

"Yeah, I guess it's time." She pulled the echo recorder from her pants pocket and laid it face up on the table. All three new comers stared in shock of what they saw. The vault key. "My and eris's employers found this on themis, as well as the location of that which it opens. Our job was to protect the scientist types and kill what ever was inside, naturally we were promised a large portion of the profits should venture succeeded. Now all the scientists are dead, and that," she pointed at the image of the key, "is in 3 fragments, each is held respectively by that bandit clan, the Dahl military forces, and the local Hyperion forces. But none of them have the location of the vault." "We do." "And we have the locations of where the others are holding their fragments." "Now all that's left is what you three are going to do. Will you stay as safe as you can on this dustball of a planet, and stay away from this venture?" "Or," she said, leaning forward, "Will you take a shot at immortality and join us?"

"I bet there are so many wonderful things inside that vault."
Leigh looked onto the echo recorder in reverence, and slowly touched the side of the device, almost stroking it gently as she decided whether or not she would help them break into the vault. There would be riches, weapons, technology, but mostly the chance to kill whatever was inside it. She could increase her kill count, and take new trophies. She couldn't pass this down, not now or ever.
"I'm in. I really want to get in there."

Surprisingly, the women had been in the last place he expected they would be, but the guy didnt bother rationalizing it, as the place had been fairly quiet. Not a lot of people in during the days, he figured, or based on the number of people in this town from a viewpoint, there wasnt very many people in general. The kid walked up quickly to them, and sat down, wanting to get those answers as soon as possible. They guy only followed suit, but he didnt sit down, he stood up, leaning against the wall. Until he seen the vault key. Then he wasnt so relaxed.
There was a time when he himself, and another group of ones like him at the time, had a vault key in their possession. It didnt end well for him, or the crew he ran with. Mostly the crew he ran with, because he was still alive, thankfully. Only so much shooting a person can do before their time was up on Pandora, they had a good run, but had to call it quits. His time was up, or so we wanted to believe. This changed things. It wasnt exactly a question of whether or not he wanted what was inside that vault or not, it was whether or not he was going back into his old life.
Based on the hopeful eyes of even the psycho, which really didnt come to much surprise, the guy figured that maybe this was the world trying to send him a message. If even somebody crazy as her can atone for the things theyve done and stumble across something like this, it must have been for something meaningful. Nothing happened out of coincidence. So with that quick thinking, which might end up being a regret in the near future, the guy spoke. "Yeah, why not." And besides, knowing the stupid bandits, the guy already had an idea of how they could ge their first piece.

Ki was wide eyed and speechless for a while , a vault key and he was offered to protect it.Now under normal circumstances he wouldn't have accepted it, but this was different. He wanted to prove he was the best shot on pandora, and a trip to the vault would help prove it.But there was something else something Ki didn't understand, some unknown feeling.Maybe it was the situation but something made him say it. "Alright,I'm in."And those three words sealed his fate.

Shae leaned back, grinning slightly, this was turning out to look like alot of fun.
"Alright, now for the locations of the shards." she brought out a map that she had bought, spreading it out on the table. "from what I've gathered, our bandit friends call themselves the Iron Tyrants. after the events that lead to the opening of the vault of the warrior and the death of handsome jack, they took over Lynchwood and fortified it in depth, along with some of the surrounding area. even if they're all dumb bandits and psycho's that's gonna be a tough nut to crack."
"but that's just the beginning. Apparently the Dahl forces regained control of their old dam facility. those guys are tough, on familiar ground and uncompromising. these guys are vets and are unflinching bad-asses. its gonna be impossible without loads of fire-power and being able to work effectively as a team."
"and lets not forget Hyperion. I looked at the echo net, they've already got it up at their space station Helios. so we gotta find a way to get there even before going through their army of killer bots, automated turrets, and potential vacuum traps."
she looked up at their faces, "only when we get the fragments can we head to the vault, but lets leave that till a later date." she grinned at them, "If we manage to pull this off, we will not only be incredibly famous and accredited vault hunting bad-asses, we will also have massive bounties on our heads from both Dahl and Hyperion."
"Sounds fun right?"

"Bounty can't get much bigger for me. Besides, the danger is fun."
Leigh looked over their options. The bandits would be difficult to deal with, mostly because they were unpredictable. But that could also work to their advantage.
"Any chance we can get our hands on some Dahl equipment? I got me a plan. Kill two birds with one big stone."
