"Well, I could go for a change of scenery. A winter wonderland for just a bit."
As they got out, Sam took off her headset and put it back in the holder, and stepped out of the helicopter, holding the door open for Madison and giving the pilot a wave as he got ready to lift off again. The place seemed to be crawling with people, more than likely local investigators. She'd have to find out who was in charge, get the report from them, and see what they could do to help.
"Come on, let's go find the man in charge."

At this point, Madison hoped they would be staying on the ground for the remainder of the mission. Though it might have been wishful thinking, it would be ideal. Every time she got off of an aircraft, it took her a little time to adjust, and it just overall made her a little worse at her job. The helicopter was no exception, but shed be back to normal in about a half an hour. It was altitude change, low to high fairly quickly. He body had already been getting adjusted to the United States, and now she was back in Canada. "Okay, sounds good." she managed to respond, but really, she just wanted to sit down, or at the very least, be stationary for even just five minutes.
It was strange there hadnt been anybody waiting for them when they landed, but maybe they had been early, or late, depending. Early would have better, because it meant they wouldnt miss anything. 'better late then never' didnt apply to your job. Most of the time, late might as well had been never. But she was convinced that Sam knew where they were going

"Alright, let's find a nice place to sit down, grab a cup of coffee, maybe five, and then see if someone can tell us what we just walked into. Let's go!"
Sam resisted the urge to start pulling on Madison's arm as they walked, nearly running into a BSAA agent who was able to point them in the right direction of the command center. Evidently the only arrival they were expecting were Griffin's team, which meant they weren't waiting for a few TerraSave agents, nor expecting them to arrive ahead of the other group.
With directions and the want to be out of the weather, they trudged along and found their way to the main building, where people were quickly moving around, going to from tables to map charts and comparing various map locations and giving orders. This was definitely where they were supposed to be.
"And I think he is in charge. The older man over there, signing papers. He looks official."

Even though Sam said this was where they should be, and Madison knew that this was where they should be, it was most definitely not where she expected to be. It seemed like she was a bird lost in a house, a duck in a henhouse, she stuck out much more than she probably even noticed. Everybody else seemed to know exactly what they were doing, and she was just here trying to look like she belonged. All the while following Sam, who even walked like she was part of this. Madison needed to remind herself that she did belong here much as the others, and couldnt let their authority get to her. She had a lot of authority too, no matter how meek she was.
Madison wanted to sit down now, but once they found who they were looking for, she just continued along with Sam. The BSAA were all here too, and it was almost hard to tell them apart. She was half expecting Griffin to be one of them any minute, but knew that he would probably come later. All she could do now was follow, what she was best at, what she was most comfortable doing. Then listen to Sam and speak when spoken too. The more she thought about it and became self aware of her own obedience, the more she thought herself to be a soldier, which could have been a good or bad thing. Right now, she didnt know. She just tried her best not to stick out.

Sam resisted the urge to take Madison by the hand and drag her over to the person who appeared to be coordinating the efforts in the area. The faster they figured out what was going on, the faster they could figure out what they needed to do, and how they could be of use. The sooner this was cleaned up the sooner they could be back home.
"Sir, we are reporting in from Terra Save. I'm Samantha, this is my partner Madison. How can we be of help ?"

"Saul Harim, chief adviser. Action isnt here, its in the north wing, or just outside the building on that side. There was a bit of a problem, and still still havent had any cleanup crew yet. Not sure if its your forte, but if you could do after you check it out, id be willing to be in a good word about a bonus for you. The BSAA are currently there, ill give them the call to pull out as soon as theyre ready, and you two can work. Not sure how long theyll be, though." The man came out in the open an just told them their worth. Madison was a little glad that they were just checking things out and not actually getting involved in much of anything, but at the same time, they were most likely just likely going to be glorified cleaning ladies at this point. There didnt seem like much, and if there were, the BSAA would have been aware of it. This was going to be easy, and she was okay with that.
Feeling it it might be good to get her word in, she was the one to respond. "Sounds good to me, that what were here for. To help. With that." Again, she tried sounding professional, but probably didnt come off that way. But they were getting to the point, and had a clear understanding of what they were doing. Thats all she cared about. And after eyeing what looked to be like a break room, she figured it was a good time as any to get used to being on the ground, and ready herself for the work. Because she wasnt ready enough as it was, even though she probably should have been. "Well, im going over there to get a bottle of water and sit down." Madison subtly edged herself away politely, knowing that had time.
The man Saul waited until Madison had been gone before speaking to Sam directly. "I know who you two are, I read your files. Yours more clearly than hers. I noticed your past experiences. Im going to be honest with you for a minute, cleanup and assessment isnt why I called TerraSave this early, its because I have a bigger problem. One that I know I can trust you with. Your partner, not so much..."

"Anything we can do to help, both in and out of our skill sets, we're more than willing and able, I assure you."
Sam sat down at the table, and motioned for the man to continue. Whatever she was going to be involved with, she wanted to know as much as possible before they got their necks stuck too far out. Also, the more they knew, the better they could prepare. There was plenty of lethal hardware on the BSAA plane, and she could get Arc to come with them if they needed that sort of backup. She had a feeling though, that there was something the man didn't want the BSAA coming into contact with.
"So, what exactly is the situation?"

Feeling like maybe this was just too much, even for Sam, and almost changing his mind, Saul just stared at the TerraSave agent and ran though the sentence over and over in his head. This really was now or never, and he just needed to come out and stop beating around the bush. "The first team we sent in. They reported an all clear, which relayed back to HQ as an all clear, and they quickly closed down the south quadrant. Its underground in a series of tunnels that were built years ago. All of them were cemented off, theres only one lift that goes down, and right now I have two of my own guys standing watch since about two thirty yesterday..."
At this point, it was certain that the TerraSave agent was willing to help, and Saul made sure that nobody else was in earshot before he continued. "...But they never actually came back to the surface. We lost contact with them, and well, im sure they were exposed to something down there. I couldnt alert anybody yet because I didnt want to risk an outbreak. The BSAA agents they sent us werent qualified for that kind of combat, they didnt have hazmat gear or anything. Its too early to say for sure whats down there, which is why I needed somebody with experience, before releasing any information that could go global."
Madison seen her partner and the chief speaking for what seemed like a lot longer than she anticipated, and she was starting to get a little antsy. Finishing the bottle of water she had gotten, Madison left it on the table and began walking to the pair. Quickly as she did this, the chief turned to see her, and the conversation stopped. "Whats going on? Are we good to start? I feel better now." But Madison could tell something was wrong.

"Oh, once Arc and the others get here with the gear, we will be more than ready to start with our assessment of the situation. Hopefully they aren't that far out."
Sam got up from her chair and put her hand out to the man, a smile on her face that didn't quite reach her eyes. Her voice sounded calm, even though she felt like screaming and running all the way back to the helicopter and flying away. Something was down there, and it was waiting for someone to find it. If there was a missing team, they were more than likely dead. But if there was someone still down there, she needed to find them. She wasn't leaving anyone behind, not this time.
"I'll brief my associate and we will go get the gear we need. Is there anyplace in particular we can suit up?"

The fact that the two agents were actually going to be following up on this, even after he clearly told the leading partner that it was a high risk zone, she was still ready and willing. It put himself at ease, and Saul didnt think any further, just lead them through a door. "Just follow me. Theyll think your just doing a sweep of the area." he spoke, looking around to see if anybody had even paid attention to them going down this corridor. If anybody did, it would be routine checkup of the situation. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Once they reached the end of the hall, two other men in suits stood watch, each with a sub machine gun in their hands once Saul was in sight with the two TerraSave Agents. Clear they thought things were about to get bad, but when they didnt question and Saul himself had been leading them, they knew everything was fine, and put their guns down. Pushing open the door to an empty office, Saul motioned the two women inside. "Designated assistance, these two ladies are with TerraSave, and they have experience. Go get them their gear, because theyre going down there in fifteen minutes."

Sam could see the look of confusion in Madison's eyes, and waited until the man left before speaking quietly, uncertain if the guards outside would be able to hear them, or if they were in the loop. She put her purse down, and grabbed out her Beretta and spare clips, making sure she was loaded and ready for trouble.
"There was an incident down in the lower levels of the facility. They lost a team down there, they may be still alive. We are going to investigate, help if we can and assess the situation. I'm going to have Arc and one of his best men join us, they'll keep us safe."

"Yes sir.", one of the two men spoke bluntly, however both following orders. The two guards quickly walked back down the hallway, knowing where the chopper had just landed, and knew that with the supplies on it and the supplies the women would be needing, they could easily get it back here in half the time. They were going to need hazmat gear, that wasnt BSAA standard, nor TerraSave for that matter. Not this division, which raised suspicion, but since their CO had been running a tight shift, they didnt ask any question. Wouldnt ask any questions, either.
Madison wasnt exactly sure what to say, but didnt want to argue. If this was the job, this was the job, but it didnt seem like something she was suited for. It especially made her nervous when Sam loaded her handgun, because it meant she was preparing to more than likely use it, at least from experience when people loaded there guns. Maybe it was just for safety, but either way, it was a live gun. She had one too, but wasnt expecting to ever use it. On top of that, she got on her phone and said that the BSAA Agent from before and another were going to be joining them, which made her even more nervous because it meant there was definitely going to be trouble.
It was the fact that Sam felt confident enough to allow her on this certain job. Not that Madison would be qualified for whatever they were about to do, but because she was partnered up with people who did, and actually seemed to care about her. It was like when she did a few ride alongs with police officers in his city years ago. Seeing their day to day lives, what they go through, even the scary bits. Her and Sam were only partners for what seemed like only yesterday, but maybe they could actually be like two officers. It put her at ease knowing she would be with people who could handle themselves and watch over her, at the very least, make her feel more comfortable. "...Okay. Just, you know, tell me when to shoot. Ive had a little training, but I dont know. Whats down there?" Madison question, not expecting a response. And if she did get a response, it wouldnt be the answer to her question.

"You just stick with me, and listen to what Griffin tells us to do. He will keep us safe, and I'll keep you safe. We got this, alright?"
Sam gave the other woman a smile and a quick hug before she stowed her bag, reaching out for Madison's as well. They weren't going to need it and she wanted to be as prepared as possible. There were people that needed their help, and she was going to head down the elevator to save lives.

Almost seconds later, the two men had come back with what looked like Hazmat gear. Madison never had something like that on before, and woudnt even know how to hook any of it. Luckily the BSAA more than likely did, but it still didnt really seem like something that would suit her. Not that her apprearance mattered any, it was mobility. She was a little scared as it was, and not being able to see clearly in a suit like this might have made things worse. Once it was on, maybe she would change her mind, but for now, all she could do was wait.
"One size fits all, two hours of oz. My honest opinion? You wont need it, but its just for a precaution. If things dont look as bad down there as we think they are, feel free to radio in and remove the suit. But right now, ive orders to have both of you get in. You can leave your clothes on, cross contamination wont be an issue." The man spoke, getting both of the suits ready. Madison was happy knowing that she woudnt have to strip down. There was almost no way that wouldve been happening, and she wasnt afraid to say no to it, even to a commanding officer.
Griffins phone went off, and he stepped away from the others. It was a call from Samantha, which was more than likely a check in, but it was too early for that. She wouldnt even have been in her designated zone yet. Not thinking anymore about it, he opened up the phone, and accepted the call, placing it to his ear. "Griffin. Whats the holdup?"

"Hey, we are going to need you and one of your best guys to run escort for us. Dangerous, bring something heavy and hurtful. Wouldn't mind one of those assault rifles and a few extra mags. Bring a medkit too. Check with the man in charge, he'll direct you our way."
Sam put her phone down and turned on the speaker, beginning to pull on her hazmat suit. She began twisting and flexing in it, making sure nothing caught or tore. She had never worn anything like this before, but it made the most sense to her. Once she felt it was on correct, she strapped her pistol to the belt on the suit, and hoisted on her oxygen tank. It was heavy, but manageable. She was fairly athletic, so she was not going to be too encumbered if they needed to run.
"You able to get everything on?"
