Chapter-01 Trek to RPD
Zombies- You rush into an alley, to escape the crowd of zombies. The alley seems sound as the crowd continues towards the police. You also hear the sound of the corner of the wall crackling and flaking, from the gunfire of the police shots hitting the building, either from bouncing off of the zombies or going through them, or just straight up missing.
There is a man up ahead messing around with one of the sewage openings. There is another person inside already. He hops in, and looks around briefly, sees you, then ducks in, then peeks back out and pauses, then waves his hand, gesturing for you to hurry and move up to him. Behind you, the crowd slows, and some of the zombies notice you in the alley. They begin to shamble toward you, as if they are interested in you. It is just about 10:20 AM, and the weather seems nice.
According to the map you provided em, you are in the middle of the road. On this map, You should be in one of the allies near the road, next to the building marked (37).
(What do you do ?)

Ashley looked back at the crowd of people, trying to see if she could spot her parents. She saw some of the sick people moving their way, horrendous wounds on their bodies. she began moving before her mind had even registered what she was doing, heading towards the sewer opening, wanting to find some place safe before she was torn apart by the mob like so many other people had been. She started climbing down the metal rungs, panic speeding her movement as she tried to get to the bottom of the metal ladder with whoever else had decided to follow them.

As you climb down, above you the infected crowd claw at the closed opening. You would have to climb down around the person who will close the opening above you. You climb down before he does. It is sort of cramped in the sewage area, and there is water and sewage there, but it is possible to walk on the sides to avoid the sewage. One major problem you face now is the darkness. There is a light in one direction in the distant. as you slosh around, you occasionally bump into one other. The two men lead, sloshing around in the water. The smell of raw sewage is high, very high. It smells of sulfur combined with wet toilet paper and mixture of fecal matter and stagnant water. It is also quite warm. No one talks, the situation does not call for it. If someone slips, the other helps them up.
During the trek in the sewer, you arrive at a dead end, but there a concrete platform set a step above the sewage and in a hollow of the tunnel. It is about 2 foot wide by 4 foot deep. There is a metal hatch-like door, closed, at its end, and a yellowish white light above the door. One of the men attempt to open it. It opens, and there is a corridor leading to another door with a word on it "S Access" in white letters. The sewer door also had the same coloring of letters but they could not be made out. The corridor has random pipes, a few valves and a bunch of meters on the right side of the all, and on the left, it is just a concrete wall, not even painted, it has random cracks and grey pipes along it, bolted to it. The wall is a bluish-grey. In that corridor there are two lights similar to the one above the door in the sewer area. One of the men open the second door, and it reveals steps leading down. There are light fixtures similar to the ones you just passed.
One of the men speak. "I don't know if we should do this. What if we get in trouble ?" He is an elderly man, his voice deep but smooth, possibly mid 60's, grey/blond hair, average build (6'0"), 175 pounds, wearing a light blue and white striped collared polo looking shirt, and tan trousers. The base of his trousers are soaked and stink of sewage. He is wearing a wrist watch on his left wrist, and has brown slip on shoes. His posture is of a lawful citizen, and of retired class. he has a ring on hid right hand, ring finger.
The other man speaks up. "I don't think anyone will care at this point." This man is younger but has a rougher voice, possible 40's, brownish hair that is slightly receding, 5'10" 210 pounds, wearing construction worker type clothes. White sleeveless shirt, genes, tan work boots. He also is wearing a watch on his left wrist.
The elderly man replies, "I'll take your word for it."
The construction worker guy looks at you, pauses before entering the stair well, giving the look of concern, the kind you get when someone really don't want to end up being responsible but knows he may be the only one, along with the other man, to be responsible for your safety. The elderly man passes and walks down the stares as the construction guy talks to you. "It's-, I don't-, we are going to try out best to get out of this. The authorities will fix it all. We just need to find a place to wait it out." He stands there, waiting for you to respond in whatever manner you might, as if preparing to brace himself for the impact of you potentially getting emotional.

"I don't like being down here. If we can find a way to get back up top, can we try? It might be safer."
Ashley glanced back in the darkness hoping the people hadn't figured out how to remove the man hole cover. They'd be cut off and quickly surrounded in the tight tunnels if they were. She tightened her grip on the bat, fighting the urge to panic. Realizing the man was giving her the "worried parent look" as she liked to call it, she gave him a forced smile, her braces glinting a little in the weak light. She could do this. She just had to stick with them, and they would all be fine.
"I wish my parents had a cell phone. I lost them back there, we were trying to make it to the police station. They might be there."

The elderly man answered, "I don't think it is safer up there. We could try to make it to the police station from here, but I don't know where to go."
The construction worker looking dude adds to that, "I would play with my friends down here when I was a kid. That is how I knew to go here. There is a way. Down the satires, we will get to a bigger tunnel, and it leads directly to the waste treatment plant. We would need to get through the treatment plant, but there is a special room for staff there, and a locker room and office we could stay for the night, if we had to. There were cots the last time I remember. Pat that we can get to a subway station, and take that tunnel to another access door that leads to the main sewer tunnels. It is a long journey though."
Your party reaches the bottom of the steps (2 floors), and the younger man opens a door, exposing another access tunnel. It is twice as wide and pipes line the ceiling of it, side by side, and a conduit trails along the wall connected to the light fixtures. Along the way there is a hollow section where what looks like a pump is sitting, a wide brush looking broom, a hose and crowbar. The younger man picks up the crowbar. "I think this will be useful." A cold drop of water drips on your left shoulder, then you notice how much cooler it is, and you begin to hear a random drop of water patter a moist part of the concrete floor.
"We will try to help find your parents. We can get to the sewer tunnel that leads to the station from underground, where it is safer." The younger man says.

"Do you think anyone else made it down here? They might be ahead of us, or maybe behind us in another part of the tunnel."
Ashley silently plead that her parents had found a safe way out of the intersection and had either made it to the police station or were on their way there now. As much as she hated the smell, and the dark, and being underground she understood what e two men had said. They were safer down here, and less exposed. Those crazy sick people must have been all over the place now. The entire city could be in danger, and if they were wandering the streets they could have been surrounded and killed. The thought of it alone made her shudder, and her grip tighten on the bat.
"I'm not going to lie. I am scared. Really, really scared. But I know we will make it. We have to make it."

The younger man replies- "I am going to be honest. I don't know. This never happened before. And if you ask me, they look like something from Night of the Living Dead movies."
The older man also speaks up while casually rubbing the top of his left hand with his right thumb, fidgeting, speaking to the other man, "I didn't stay to study them. I saw you and followed. It seemed like the safest thing to do." He directs his words back to you. "Then I saw you. I thought you were one of them, but I hesitated and saw you were not. So I directed you over here. I saw them moving to you, and heard some behind me."
Your party make it to a dead end, where a metal grate is blocking the tunnel.
"This was not here last time I was." The younger man [YM] says. The older man [OM] replies, "How long ago ?" [YM] "25 years, maybe longer." [OM] "What about that way ?" The older man points at a small cylindrical tunnel. It is a about 2' wide tunnel. [YM] "Do you honestly think I can fit in there ? Look at me. You two maybe, but not me." [OM] "Sorry."

Ashley gave the bars a shake, realizing they weren't going to move. So they couldn't go this way, and there didn't seem to be another way to continue through the sewers. The tunnel was wide enough for her smaller frame to get through, but the larger man was never going to fit. So they had to decide what to do. They couldn't keep going, and that meant they needed to find another way. That meant they needed to go up.
"So we have to go up then if we can't keep going. That means we have to go up into the street. Oh God, we're blocks away from the station we have to be. Those people will get us. They'll get us and they'll kill us like they did all of these other people. OHGODJESUSs***WE'REGONNADIE!"

[OM] - "Calm down honey. He can't fit, but you and I can. And we don't have to go back up right now." [YM] - "DAMMIT, girl ! Don't panic ! Because if you do, then I will too, and then we are sure to die !"
A loud crack sound occurs on the other side of the metal gate. It echos through the entire tunnel. The sound was like a brick being clapped one good time.
[OM] - "Shh. Over there." Both of the men begin to show signs of fear of the unknown. [YM] - "I don't trust whatever made that noise. Could be a collapse. You two better go through the tunnel. I will go back and try finding another way through the other way in the sewer." [OM] - "But we should stay together and all go." [YM] - "That way leads to somewhere, maybe to the main sewer line. It might be dangerous, but not as bad as it is above." [OM] - "Well honey. Do you feel like getting dirty with me ? I will help you find your parents." [YM] - "If your parents went to the police station, that is the way you will want to go. I think it leads to the police station, but it is a long walk."
A thud occurs, but it is distant and dull. As everyone quiets, the sound of something sliding can be heard, like an underground landslide in the direction of the thud, and crack from earlier.
[YM] - "You guys better go." (was said in a soft whisper) [OM] - "Come on honey." The older man leads on all fours, and crawls in the tunnel. The younger man waits for you to get in the tunnel. [YM] - "Good luck you two."

Ashley looked at the tunnel entrance, and then back at the man and gave him a quick hug, hoping she would see him on the other side or at the police station. She didn't like the idea of splitting up, but if this was the only way they would make it, then that was what they were going to have to do.
"See you on the other side, and thanks."
She pulled herself together and began climbing in after the older man, her bat in one hand as she slowly caught up with him. She didn't like being in such tight quarters, but this was one way to get to the police station and back to her parents. She had a long trek ahead of her, and she needed to stay positive and alert. She had to put on her brave face, and couldn't panic.

Lets do a reply of what has happened in the sewer so far. You enter the sewer and the first tunnel looks like the first image, but it is darker. You make it to an area where there is a light, and a rise, leading to a sort of platform, where there is a door, the second image sort of shows how it looks from a distance. You enter that area and there are steps leading down a few floors (about 15 feet). You find another door leading to a utility corridor that eventually ends at a metal gate-like area. The walls are like the concrete style in the 3rd picture, but the lights are like in the 4th picture. The 5th image shows the style of metal gate that blocks the path. The 6th image, if you look closely, down and to the left of the green "EXIT" sign, there is a tunnel with two bars on it. The tunnel you find has no bars, and it is just to the right of the metal gate you see in game. That is the tunnel you and the older guy take. The other guy has a big belly and can't fit, so he will go back to the tunnel type in the 1st image and find another way to get to safety. (Make sure to read content below images) The old mad gets out into an area like in the bottom image (Just without the thing and Leon) and splashes.

Ashley made her way to the edge of the entrance to the next part of the sewers, and then hopped out after the man, raising her bat and looking around to make sure nothing was waiting for them. She wasn't sure where they were, or which way they should go. She hoped the man knew which general direction they should be going. Even with the other man's directions, it was more than likely easy to get turned around in the catacombs of tunnels and service ducts.
"Ugh, I can't wait to get out of here. A shower and some clean clothes would be great."
The smell was something she hoped she would never have to experience again, and she thought back to what the younger man had said. He and his friend used to play down here. Who would do something like that?
"You think he's going to be okay? I mean, I don't know where we would meet up again."

It is very dark. In fact, it is pitch black. When you splash into the water, or sludge, is about a foot deep. Chunks of yuck paste creep into the soles of your footwear. The smell is of stagnant water, sewage, various soaps and of wet stone or concrete. The water is fairly warm. Heat rises from when the water is disturbed from walking, and the heat brings the aroma of the sewage up from the water more with every step. There is no light and no way of telling which direction is which.
When the sound of water splashing stops and it gets quiet, you hear the old man itch himself, then he begins to walk more, "Feel the wall. Lets move until we find another tunnel to get out of here by. I will lead."
With every step, you hear that he raises his foot completely out of the water and softly puts puts it back into the water, careful not to splash or make too much noise. The space is narrow, about six foot wide, and an unknown height ceiling.
Something has changed about the old man that makes him seem different from before, as if something clicked. He seems more confident, zealous, or enthused by the impression you get from how he speaks his words.

"Alright. I can't wait to get out of these tunnels."
Ashley mimicking the man's motions, using one hand to feel her way along the sewer wall, and her feet came out of the water completely before being gently placed back into the warm muck. She knew that her shoes were ruined, but for the moment she was more concerned about getting out of the sewers and to somewhere safe. They needed to find her parents, needed to find their other companion. She hoped he was alright, and had almost wished they had stayed together. Even if this was a short cut, the man was on his own, and that could mean trouble.
"I'm sorry. About earlier. I shouldn't have panicked."

"No need to apologize. This has never happened before." After what seems like a hundred feet, slopping around, you hear him snarl.
"Ahgr !" He bumped his head on something.
"Careful, there is a pipe here." He directs you under the pipe, which is about 5' from foot level.
"I found something else. Steps leading up it feels like." He finds rungs leading up to somewhere. "I think I will climb up to see what is up there. Hang on to that pipe I bumped my head on. If I fall I don't want to fall on you. There is always that chance."
The pipe he bumped his head on is about five feet from the rungs that lead up. He begins to climb, and you feel patters of foul water splash you slightly from drops falling from his shoes.
