Hierarchy in the group took a hammer to the head after watching their leader hit the ground before a large piece of debris hit him. Like butter on a hot plate the morale of everyone in sight melted; some folk turned and ran, while the worst of them cowered in confusion and helplessness. Others went loose, winging what would probably be their final moments and firing wildly; in to their own allies even. The most steadfast of the group held their ground, kept their wits, however they were no longer a match against the trained forces of the United States Military. Rangers none the less. Creaming insurgents front and centre, Jasmine's AR-15 blasted puffs of blood vapor out exit holes its bullets made. Her divine appearance helped to burn a startled impression into the Ranger girl's foes causing them to stutter in their path; what could she say? Her beauty killed. Dirt on the ground bounced as the riot shield was dropped once more, "That's yowr kew, kid," Jasmine shouted to the Private in an elder fashion even though they were likely closer in age than the reverse, "Mah partner'll hoist y'on back tew safety, comprenday?"His boot skidded along the metal floor of the chopper as Franks turned to the femme fatale, "What about you?" he ask, a little smitten by her presence. Jasmine were glad enough he had not replied in a heroic manner, "There were nary enough rewm fer tew men and a limbow last rownd, I'm nat gunna risk anywon gettin' hit behind a shield that can't hug rownd us all," Paul's shield had been built for a two man assault. Jas had been told anything you could put your arms around and touch your fingers was not going to keep you from being hit; one of the three would end up getting hurt, "It's sayfer this way."Granted the damsel felt alone after they left, her adrenaline still pushed her to the point of orgasm. Jas let her combat hype take over, drowning out noise to hear only the deep breathing which pushed red blood cells throughout her body. Behind the AR-15's iron sights sat a silver smile. A shadow blocked her view. Half a moment later something massive landed directly outside the chopper sending ripples through the ground. Jasmine could only see its feet - four of them - and they appeared necrotic in nature. The creature's head lowered to her level peering in through the small space she utilized for safety; Half a dozen, beady, bloodshot eyes oberved the snack-lite in a can before sucking in a breath taking amount of air. Its shrill roar broke the sound spectrum, pieces of ground flesh and bile hitting Jasmine in the face as it bore its massive maw at her. The one legged girl did not waste time pushing herself backwards out of the cargo bay as the monster began forcing its way in, rolling the steel eagle up to get a better shot at its meal on a plastic stick. Jasmine landed on her tail feather as she fell out the opposite side, a pin dropping to the dirt. She had left a little present inside for the snarling mutant. One of her babies from her belt were about to give it one mean sting. Shrapnel flittered out of the open passenger bay as the grenade exploded; an inhuman whine following it as the beast bumped its head on the roof of the chopper lifting it off the ground for a moment. It reeled away from the steel eagle pawing at the wound around its chest, the whirlybird hitting the ground again and rolling in soldier girl's direction. Her sense of salvation was quickly crushed, metaphorically. Curling herself up before she could lose a limb in the frame of the passenger bay doorway; the helicopter rolling onto its top side. Jasmine wiped dirt and muck from her cute features, currently owning a startled look, as she observed the ten ton chopper which only a moment ago had the potential to squash her flat. Bearings were important on a map; they made things discernable. In the rollover Miss Slender lost all bearings, all she knew were she was out of cover. Jas squinted at the shift in light, lime green eyes darting around. Only Ajax remained as a noticeable friendly, raining bullets; everyone else, Samantha, the Latino sniper, the Merc, and the rest of her team were a little more difficult to see while in such a bad situation. What did stand out was the monster. It rampaged from its injury tearing through groups of insurgents bowling the armed civilians all over the place, flinging them across the square and into walls or crushing them beneath its feet. Jasmine wobbled to stand, keeping her weight on her prosthetic and backing over to the chopper for cover.

Markus saw the creature and ducked behind the sheet of metal. "Heroes never prosper." He closed his eyes, hugged his rifle and prayed his building still stood in a little while when the creature was gone. He was no coward, only an opportunist and looking out for himself. The screeches coming from the monster ripped through him. He was sure the woman with the prosthetic was dead.
A certain screech ripped through his soul causing his eyes to snap open. The sound of the helicopter smashing made him look down. She was still alive but he could tell she was far from okay. He grabbed his ammo and slung his rifle over his back. He was going to help her. There was no reason for her to die when others were around to help.
By the time he was on the ground level, she was already behind the helicopter in front of him. He came up next to her and set down his rifle. He was lightening his load out before playing hero. He took out one of his pistols and left everything else with her; extra ammo, his two knives, keys, and the rifle. He snagged a grenade off of her belt and ran around the other side of the helicopter.
"Hey you big ugly b*tch!" he yelled after shooting a couple of shots into the backside of the creature, "Yeah over here! You ugly piece of s***!" The creature turned to look at the small man shooting it and yelling for attention. He got what he was looking for. The creature reared back its ugly head as it let out a loud roar. Markus used this second to pull the pin of the grenade and hurled it at the monster's face.

The black Redlight vehicle dove down the tight streets at a reckless almost suicidal speed, barely squeezing through parked cars and civilians, its thick wheels making sure id didnt tumble or roll uncontrollably. Heller sat back and checked his equipment and ammo yet a third time, he watched; mezmerized as Izaac 'Hoplite' drove as calm as a sunday driver as he changed gears and roared down the narrow alleyway before slowing down to almost a crawl. "It couldn't have gone far, sunova b*tch is slippery" Agent Fritz looked unsure as he panned through the bickering channels, both military and local looking for any sign of their prey. Heller chuckled as he fixed the tri-lense down to his mask. "Hoplite, this seems like an ideal spot, park here" The truck slowed down to a still and the Izaac turned off the ignition. "Ah, I think I have something on local channel, something about gunfire and..."Heller broke his sentence and held his hand up for silence, they could barely make out gunfire in the distance and a much more obvious roar that sent a slight chill down Heller's spine. "Gentlemen, I bet that will be our target, lock and load"The three of them jumped out of the truck and grabbed their weapons and locked their vehicle. "When in doubt, shoot to kill, Fritz keep us updated" The Redlight agent nodded and they quickened their pace towards the gunfire.

More shots rang out as Luiz reloaded. The shots came from the building adjacent to him. It was the female that wasn't dressed in Military garb. She was a damn good shot. Every shot that she took rang true and eliminated each of her targets. With the Insurgent's pinned down and taking cover, Luiz took this time to break of into a sprint. He vaulted over the barricade and ran passed the ducking Insurgents. The gunfire that was aimed for them did not allow them to try and stop the Latino.
As Luiz got further down the set of rooftops, he noticed that there was nothing that bridged the two sides. With an exception, which was a large power-line that resembled that of a zip-line. He took the clip that he used when repelling from an Helicopter and jumped up. Latching on the the power-line, Toro slide across it at amazing speeds.
Looking below, he managed to catch sight of a B.O.W running freely slaughtering the people below. It was basically a praying mantis on steroids. I mean seriously! What's next a Giant Tiger!? He thought to himself as it moved out of sight. Luiz hadn't payed attention to his whereabouts until now, he was about ten seconds from missing the building he aimed for. Instead of releasing the hook, he just pulled his combat knife out and severed the cable.
The drop was pretty high, but before hitting the ground, the Merc bent his knees to compensate for the drop. Hitting the ground, he instantly rolled forward, almost running off the edge. Luiz slowly stood and made his way to the group of Soldiers that aided him. After reaching them, he introduced himself. "The names Luiz Ramieraz. I'm a Mercenary and you can call me El Toro if you want."

_ The witch seemed to glide though the building she came crashing into. She swept through making quick work of the frazzled wanna-be warriors inside. She was down to the second floor when she heard a screech that sent ripples down her spine. Once the floor was clear she made her way to a frame where a window had once been installed. She saw out just in time to see Jasmine scurrying around and a strange BOW flip the husk of the chopper.
_ "Sh*t!" Sam dropped the empty clips from her pistols watching as Has hid and two more came to her aid. She reloaded and dropped the weapons into their holsters. With a hop the woman's slim figure slipped through the frame down to the battlezone below. Slipping the sling of her rifle off her shoulder the witch summoned the Beowulf and brought it into the conflict. She detatched the silencer to unleash a bit of pent up power.
_ Her previous guide circled the area drawing the creature's attention. For this the witch was greatful, it allowed her to focus on actually hitting the quick monstrosity. When she finally pulled the trigger the 50 caliber round impacted the BOW's right shoulder. The force knocked the creature from its balance sending it stumbling around before finally hitting the ground. It didn't take it long to recover though.
_ When it did it charged the lithe girl in black and white. It was quick, and seeing as the rifle didn't keep it down long she decided to throw something a bit bigger at it this time, literally. She ran for the body she knocked out of the building earlier. The witch scooped up the bloody cinder block with one hand. She turned and slung the brick the way a professional baseball player throws a baseball.
_ The monster didn't have time to react. The brick smashed into the left side of its face with incredible force, crushing three of its eyes and turning them into bloody goo. The attack knocked it for a loop, Sam guessed the beast didn't know what was up and what was down. She turned and ran for cover while it was dazed and pulled out her radio. "Everyone! Unleash on it now!!!"

From out of the woodwork came all her allies. The Mercenary from before had been chivalrous in aid toward her, raising a white knight's shield brandishing a pistol and one of her babies from her belt. Jasmine watched as the grenade went off in the creature's face, a well timed cook and expertly placed throw ensured the most effective outcome. Another man had approached calling himself El Toro; he was the sniper from before finally catching up with the motley crew. Jasmine casually saluted to the man. There was no time for words, and even if the dirtied model had tried to talk she likely would have stuttered from the heat of the battle. The boom of .50 caliber weapons fire filled the air. Samantha had finally joined into the tussle. I giant walloping sound followed her, Jasmine had just enough time to see the massive block slamming into the side of the beasts head, "Nice shot," Jas whispered to herself curious at how the raven haired girl had managed to peg so much mass so effectively in the first place. "Everyone! Unleash on it now!" It didn't matter. The call rang through, and the Ranger girl now knew what to do. Jasmine emerged from behind the wrecked whirly bird sticking two fingers between her lips, blowing an almighty whistle piercing the air. It was a call to her squad mates. Ajax dropped down from the rooftop letting his machine gun hang at its side. Gabe and Paul were quick to step out from the cover around the square, all letting their weapons hang as they pulled something out from their harnesses. The malevolent girl did the same, drawing a wire from her belt pulling out a lengthy amount and coiling it into a spool. In sequence each of the fireteam members snagged the creature by a leg, pulling to the point of leaning against it, keeping it from stampeding any further; wrangling the beast. It was usually more difficult with only three of them managing a monster's movement while the fourth did the damage; it always had one leg left to flail about with. It would be a piece of cake this time. "Awlrightee fellas!" Jasmine shouted out, her North Carolina accent making the distance for everyone to hear, "Show mister grouchy here the kinda reception he deserves."She skidded forwards along the dirt as the monster pulled its leg in. It took up the centre of the square like a flashing beacon. Damn thing might as well have had a red target painted on its arse.

Markus watched as his gernade blew up in the creature's face, barely wounding it and ****ing it off. Markus then watched as the .50 caliber bullet nearly knocked the creature over before being pegged in the face by a cinder block. Markus ran back for his rifle so he could take shots with his gun.
As he ran for his gun, the other mercenaries ran forward to tackle the beast. Each man or woman grabbed a leg while the others were taking shots. It was odd how the creature couldn't shake off the mercenaries but Markus focused on killing more than worrying on how the creature wasn't able to shake it's shackles.

Heller and his team made their way through the tight alleys of the slums to the source of the gunfire, they turned the corner to see the place was a mess, mangled bodies, rubble and a downed bird. "Jesus, when'd the tornado hit?" Heller chuckled, immediately noticing the monster somehow being held down by four mercs as the beast seemed to squeal in pain.
"That's it, that's the one." Hoplite shouted, the three of them raising their guns at the creature and walking at a steady pace across the broken ground. Heller's eyes darted around the scenery quickly and taking note of his surroundings "Civilians, armed, possibly hostile. Keep on your toes" Fritz averted his sights from the beast and kept his Carbine handy for insurgents. Heller put his hand out too the mercenaries "Don't kill it, we've been tracking this thing for a good two days, we need it down but not out." Heller gave a quick glance at Hoplite "Situation Gray sir." Isaac whispered.

_ Sam returned once she realized Jas and her squad had secured the creature. Just before she was about to implement an attempt at a killing blow someone new arrived. "Dont kill it, we've been tracking this thing for a good two days, we need it down but not out." Down but not out huh? The witch shrugged her shoulders and picked up the cinder block once again. This time she brought it down hard on the monster's head. The block shattered into gravel and the beast fell limp to the dirty ground.
_ The witch looked that the three guys attached to its legs and spoke. "You fellas know how to hog tie a pig right? It'd probably be a good idea to do that before this thing comes 'round." She then motioned for Jas, she didn't want to deal with this new squad on her own. After all she was just passing through, and had zero jurisdiction in the area. When joined up again she turned to the man who requested not to kill the beast. "Sure picked a damn good time to show up didn't ya?"

After Samantha landed the knockout blow Jasmine and her team flew forwards several metres from the slack of the beast. The Ranger girl seethed as her forearms scraped against the ground leaving them with a nice, stinging graze, "Yow," she hissed, getting to her feet. Sam made the suggestion of bound and gagging the mutant to the Ranger crew before waving at Jas to follow, adressing the new band of brothers who had entered the arena.
Roughly a moment after Sam commented on the team's impeccable timing three harsh reports rang out from the square. Jas rested a smoking Ithaca on her shoulder, "Sorry folks," her voice carried to the monster hunters from centre square, "We don't dew half dead. My crew is hear tew clean up," she tossed the shotgun back to her team mate before limping away.
The monster had a been gouged through its neck leaving it to look like some sort of gnarly pes dispenser. All that kept it from being completely decapitated were the link of its hardened armor down its back. Was not half bad considering the clean up team would probably have to tackle it with chainsaws to get it out. It was either that or burn the body; the favela residents probably would not be grateful having their home smell worse than it already did.

Markus rushed over to the limping woman's side, not to aid her further, yet he offered, but for answers. "Okay so who are you people and what the hell is going on? My source of income and housing, not to mention my house, was just destroyed by your helicopter. So how is your little 'clean up' operation going to benefit me? Especially since those f**kers had been staying away from this favela before you all came here." He asked calmly, more asking for a job than for real answers.
He continued to stand by her side as the large creature was killed in a pretty gruesome way. He was impressed with the groups effectiveness, but didn't appreciate his job being buried under a ton of metal and what ever else may have been used to build the building. Markus slung his rifle onto his back, realizing it was hanging in front of him at his waste and still holding his pistols. He put the pistols in their respective places at his back.

Isaac's first reaction was to raise his gun but Heller put his hand above the barrel and lowered it "easy man." he spoke quietly then gave Hoplite a pat on the back before lazily dragging his feet forward as he inspected the creature, then looked forth at the lady and group of odd looking mercs that killed the beast, he yelled out "Hey that was'n nice, we was simply chasing a stray pet, doesn't mean you go kill the poor bastard?" Heller looked down at the mangled neck of the monster, its neck still spewing out a thick gooey icor.
Heller could just make out the voices of command as Fritz reported what occurred, they weren't pleased. Fritz was the poor bastard that had be on the receiving end of command's tendency to punish their soldiers on failure. He switched off comms and spoke in a significantly quieter voice "We're to wait for White Crow and his fire-team, they will be escorting two scientists to see what they can do with the remains" "ETA?" "5 minutes sir."
The three then turned to see the cowering insurgents as well as the more brazen still staring down at the odd gas masked military suddenly involved in the drama, slowly removing themselves from their houses or objects they cowered behind, loading their guns for another random beast or hostile group entering their turf. Heller turned up the volume on his vox "This area is now under REDLIGHT quarantine, you are all to clear the area with a 20metre distance, or be shot". The trio aimed and raised their guns, some cleared, some stayed and chuckled.
"Hoplite, assess." "Situation yellow, crowd is expendable."

"Actually it's the other way 'round," Jasmine said, turning to speak to the merc, "We had been staying away until those f*ckers came around," resting her rifle flush with her stomach and clasping her hands over it, Jaz repared to explain herself, "With the startling human population here the integrity of this place falls into our hands. Many US Marines and Rangers have been deployed to deal with the B.O.W. presence in Rio. Which means-" her voice quickly picked up to get the attention of the newly arrival company's leader, more accurately, the man who had criticized her action, "If we come across any more of your 'pets', expect them tew get dead."
Sighing at their loss of chopper transport, the Ranger and her team all knew they had a fair walk ahead of them back to HQ, "I'm sorry your home got in the way of our helicopter. Better luck choosing a spot to operate out of next time," Jasmine casually saluted the merc with the flick of her hand and continued to leave the square. If the PMC's group were hauling out the body then there were no worry for her own clean-up team to worry about it.
[Jasmine has left the area.]

Markus felt insulted by the way the woman talked to him. She didn't offer him help or an idea on where to go just a god damn good luck. He returned her salute in a similar fashion except ending in giving her the middle finger. He turned to the remaining people and just watched. The other woman stayed where she was for the moment as the other crew had come in to clean up the creature. He wasn't sure who to turn to or what to do. He wasn't a leader and didn't want to control the area. Hell, he knew this place would be a warzone soon because of all the other guys who would want to control the area. An American couldn't control a ton of poor Brazilians and watch his own back.
He decided it may be best to leave, but with who and to where. He wasn't going to just go with anybody and to anywhere but if an offer came he may just take it. He went and sat upon a makeshift bench as he watched the group mess around with the dead body.

Fritz and Hoplite kept their weary gaze on the insurgents before them whilst Heller noticed one of the mercenaries that was 'tossed aside' by the bunch that killed their CORIS-1c specimen, then back to the hostiles. More took the safer option of leaving the Redlight troopers to their business as there was nothing they could possibly use from the area now littered with a dead over-sized bug, a heli, rubble and the odd corpse or two. -The only noises made were that of magazines being slapped into guns, the moans of the wounded to the eery sound of the Redlight masks filtering the less than clean air, soon these mere sounds were overrun by the roar of an armored van that resembled more of a simplified tank, its scratched black armor plates bared the insignia of the masked military uniform now claiming this zone, the rest of the hostiles scattering as the vehicle rolled up. Heller looked to Hoplite "Go bring the truck here, its only a street away hostiles shouldn't be a problem. Just don't go given em mean looks" Isaac smirked behind his mask and jogged to the vehicle the trio rocked up in, Heller glanced at the Redlight van and doors slid open with a metallic thud, six more masked soldiers hopped out of the hulk of a vehicle. One of them dressed in the same white 'Captain' grade uniform as Heller rather than the standard black uniform given to the lesser ranks. He greeted Heller with a salute, Heller did the same then shook hands with the fellow captain.
The man spoke, "Its been a while, Nathan"
Heller chuckled, "You too, I've heard stories about this infamous 'White Crow"
"Please, I don't need to hear you rip into my name"
Heller's response was broken by one the scientists whining for status updates and asking unnecessary things from their soldiers. Two Redlight agents guarded the scientists clothed in black HAZMAT suits as they made their way to the dead body, the other four forming a perimeter around the 20 meter radius. Heller could then avert his eyes from the insurgents and looked again to the mercenary sitting on a makeshift seat, he quickly looked in the van and grasped something from one of the equipment crates before closing the door to the van. He casually walked past the two scientists picking at the body of CORIS and walked towards the merc, he remembered seeing this one fight before, he didn't show much fear nor stupidity.. Plus he knew how to throw a grenade and Heller wondered. He approached the man, slinging his rifle over his back.
"You're in the radius y'know, Im meant to shoot ya"
Heller looked back as a couple soldiers began dragging the dead, mangled bodies into a pile and putting the wounded out of their misery with clean shots to the head, making sure they stop the spread of infection.
"But there's an exception"
Heller held a standard issue Redlight gas-mask in front of the the merc.
"Or ill give you a minute to clear the area, its up to you."
