Crowley waited for the bridge to finish extending when Roger asked how she knew the people here. She'd glanced over at him, squinting her eyes. "They're literally an army of mercenaries. They took over the airport from the military shut away here," she explained.
"The military was holing up here with food, water and supplies. They were suppose to make this a checkpoint, but never did. They hoarded everything for themselves. Murphy up there, found out, took 'em out and claimed the airport for their own. Then they started letting civvies hang out here," she finished, getting ready to cross the bridge.
"That must've been... intense," Roger mused as the bridge finished setting itself up. He grabbed the handlebars of his bike and started pulling it across as carefully as he could.
"It was, Daryl almost lost an arm,"she mentioned, following beside him. When they got across, she was greeted by a large man with an equally big smile. He'd grabbed at Crowley and gave her a massive bear hug, picking her up off the ground.
"Crowley! It's been months since we've seen you! Where've you been?" Jackson asked, setting her back down.
"Urgh...on business and then recently out of commission," she said, wincing from the hug.
"Where are the others? Been waitin' to see that sonuva b*tch, Irving again," he said, looking around for her mercenaries. Crowley rubbed at the back of her neck, awkwardly.
"They're...they're gone, Jackson," she told him, sadly. The man's smile faded away and after a brief pause, he'd suddenly smiled again. "Well..it's good to see you. Who's your friend? New merc for hire?" he asked.
Crowley looked back at Roger, then at Jackson again, smiling. "No, no, this is my friend, Roger. He saved my skin a few days ago, been traveling with me since," she said.
"Good to meet ya, fella," Jackson said, putting his hand out to shake.

"Nice to meet you too," Roger said, shaking the man's hand. "Ya got a place I can put my bike? Rain ain't doing it any good."
"Yeah, we got a secured garage out back, I'll get one of my guys to take it there, just take your keys with you," he said.
"I'd feel better doing it myself..."
"I'll show him to the garage, Jackson," Allison said. The merc shrugged a little. "Alright, sure, go on in," he said, moving aside.
"Thanks," Roger called out through the rain before pulling his bike away. They could hear the bridge retracting as they made their way through the rain. "Can't wait to get inside, can you?" he called out.
"Yeah...but I've got this weird feeling in the pit of my gut," she responded, looking ahead at the airport doors as they'd passed them to head to the garage.
"Weird feeling? Like what?" Roger asked, wondering quietly to himself if this was one of those overwhelming dread gut feelings, or bad chili gut feelings.
She'd frowned and shook her head. "I don't know what it is. I just have this feeling of dread," she said before looking over at him. "Might just be the anxiety of getting back in the air," she said, forcing a smile.
"What? You hate flying?" Roger asked, chuckling slightly. "I mean, yeah there was that whole helicopter fiasco, but it wasn't so bad right?"
"Oh no, definitely the ride of my life. I mean, besides the concussion, the bullets in my body and the terrible scrapes and burns from the crash, it was like a trip to Disney Land," she joked.
"Well you did land in an amusement park..."
"There's a brightside to everything."
"This the garage?" Roger asked, as they came alongside some buildings.
"This is the garage," she said, looking around at the near deserted garage. There were a few vehicles in there, mostly military and a few mercs hanging out there, playing cards.
"Just pick a spot to leave it," she added. Roger parked his bike somewhere before asking, "What should we take to Vegas?"

"Nothing but the weapons and ammo," she said, walking back to the airport. "I have enough money for a coupla rooms and food for a few days," she said, looking at all the vehicles as they passed by.
"Alright," Roger said, opening a saddlebag and pulling out some supplies in a bag before locking it back up. "You sure they'll let us take our weapons?" he asked, taking his shield off it's rack.
"I'm positive. Murphy trusts me, unlike most people," she assured him.
"Well what's not to trust?" Roger said smiling at her as he threw his shield and gear across his back.
She smiled back at him and chuckled, nervously. "Ah well...you know...I'm a mercenary under contract by Tricell," she said, face flushed.
"So? Nothing wrong with making some money and holding down a job, even if it's a dangerous one."
Crowley looked at him for a moment before turning her head. "Well, I've done some pretty terrible things in my life as a mercenary. I have alot of people that hate me and want to see me dead. Hence the chopper crash and the bullet holes," she told him.

"Lotta hateful people out in the world. Hell, we ran into two trucks worth the other day, and that wasn't even the first time I've been shot at," Roger said as they entered the airport through the electronic doors.
"There's still an awful lot you don't know about me, Roger," she told him, walking toward security.
"Go ahead," a man there told them, gesturing for them to go around and avoid the security checks.
"You gave your entire cache to a couple of kids. You lost a lot of people you were close to. Now we're going to go pick up your mom and get her somewhere safe. You're not a bad person Allison," he told her sternly. He felt like they were having an argument for some reason.
"Alright, alright," she said, calmly. "I wasn't trying to argue with you, I'm bad at accepting compliments."
"You sure are. Guy says a few nice things and it turns into the McCarthy hearings," he joked.
Allison laughed a little. "I'm not that bad, am I?"
"You just gotta let up. You've got all this stress and it's killin' you. One of these days you're gonna have a heart attack if you don't ease up."
"I'll try to relax," she told him, smiling.
"See there ya go," Roger told her, smiling back. "See this is Allison, just smilin' and relaxin'. It's been pokin' through the past few days, but I think she's really startin' to shine now."

Allison felt her face heat up a little more. "It's a nice change of pace," she said, looking forward, trying to contain her smile. ================================================= Back at the entrance of the airport, the spotlight had shone down on another figure, shuffling and shambling forward toward the trench. It appeared to be grabbing at it's ears and screaming. "Ma'am! Ma'am please calm down! Ma'am calm down now or I'll have to ask you to leave!" a man shouted. The figure, which had been a woman, had looked up, her face bleeding with a golfball sized dent in her skull. The noise...that blaring noise from their radio towers were infuriating. She needed to shut them off. Now! ================================================= The merc looked on through the terminal to see the small group of people running around, sitting around, and chatting. When she'd looked forward again, however, she'd seen a face she never thought she'd again so soon. Charging right for her, had been Anna McGraw. Before she could even say a single word, Anna had been within arms reach, pulling a fist back and sending it forward. As she did, the merc swayed away from the attack, grabbing at her forearm with both hands, pulled her in, slipped behind her and twisted her arm back as she did, placing her in a hold. "Anna, nrgh, listen to me! I don't---! Crowley tried. "We've...been here before...b*tch!" she heard Anna sputter. As soon as she did, Anna had ducked down, forcing Crowley's leg to buckle a bit. She'd moved her own body to aside to place a leg behind Crowley's barred on. She'd swept it forward, forcing her to lose her grounding loosen her grip. She then turned her head, grabbed at the merc's arm and somehow managed to reverse the very lock she had been in. ================================================= Back in Security check, there'd been the sounds of open fire coming from outside. No one budged, though, assuming they were taking out a hostile. As everyone had gone back to their duties, a body had smashed into the electronic doors, cracking and leaving behind a splatter of blood. When security did get on guard, the doors had gone shattering down onto the floor and a bloody woman stood in it's frame. ================================================= Everything had happened so fast that neither of the women had realized the security running at them, holding assault rifles on them. "Break it up or we'll open fire on both of you!" one of the masked men said. Anna and Crowley looked up and released the other, slowly, before putting both their hands up. "McGraw, what the hell are you doing here?" Crowley asked, staring forward at the guards, coldly. "I should ask you the same thing...Where are my children, Crowley?"================================================= Corpses had quickly accumilated all around the security check. The woman, the...the thing, had been tearing through the forces there and the civilians, like a hot knife through butter. When everything in the room had seized to move, she'd continued on, trying to follow the loud radio signals blaring through her ears. ================================================= "Your children...? I don't have your kids. I've been recovering from the chopper crash, I haven't even cared to go after you or your kids.""Bullsh*t! Then what the hell are you doing here?! Huh?! After everyone you killed in the SPD?! TRINITY?! The ten years of tormenting me?! You're a lying, manipulating, B*TCH!" she'd shouted out, turning to face the woman. Crowley looked over at her. "I was, yeah.""Was? You still are! No one changes in the course or three or four days," she shot back. Crowley sighed and looked back at where Roger stood, probably worried about her. "I can't say I've changed, but I can say that I'd like to....look, I don't have your and your husband's children. I haven't seen them at all....I'm sorry."Anna had been ready to shoot back another, 'LIAR!' at her when the sound of alarms had began going off wildly. Not too long after, a woman had come charging into the terminal, throwing one of the armed guards into another one. Some of them had taken shots at her, but they went through her like it was no big deal. "Holy sh*t what the hell is that?!" Anna cried out, running to join her husband's side. "Rich, get back!"Crowley quickly whipped out her rifle and quickly ran back to Roger's side. "We need to go, Marion's here!"

Rich drew his .45 and fired at the bloodied woman while Anna told him to retreat. "No more running! That thing dies before I lose our kids again!" Rich shouted firing round after round into it.
"Where the hell...?" she trailed off, glancing at his weapon.
"Snuck it in disassembled, now use the crowbar and get our rifles out of that case before things get f*cked!" Rich ordered, dropping the duffle bag his was carrying.
Roger meanwhile pulled his riot shield off his back and held it forward instictively. "What the hell's a Marion!?" he asked while dropping the bag of weapons and ammo down his arm and holding it out to Allison.
Allison took it and slung it over her shoulder. "She's a Super Human that escaped Tricell last year, she's supposed to be dead, she's completely unstable, try to stay out of her reach as much as possible," she told him.
Meanwhile, Anna had been trying to pry the locked boxes open. "No time for that, McGraw! Heads up!" Crowley shouted, kicking her Glock across the floor to her. Anna quickly dropped the crowbar and grabed at it.
"Much appreciated!" she shouted back.
Another merc had been thrown across the terminal, face completely torn apart. Other mercenaries had tried flanking her, but she was built like a tank. Civilians began fleeing deeper into the airport, all of them screaming their heads off.
Suddenly, Marion had gotten a clear look at Crowley across the way, staring back at her. Enraged, she'd started throwing another corpse at her, screaming like a wild woman at the merc. She wasted no time in going after her target.
Roger saw what was happening and moved. He rushed forward and slid onto his knees, holding his shield parallel to the ground hoping to knock Marion off balance.

Marion had tried to slow herself down when she'd felt the shield bash into her knees, knocking her back onto the ground. She'd grunted a little and rolled over and off her back. Crowley grabbed at Roger's arm, trying to pull him off the ground.
"That's the exact opposite of what I said to do, Roger," she told him.
Soon after, Marion had gotten back to her feet and while Crowley was scolding Roger, she'd taken the time to run at them again, reaching her arms out. As she did, Crowley quickly looked back at her closing in the space between them. "Move!" Crowley yelled, shoving Roger aside and getting vice like hands gripped around her throat.
"ARGH!" Crowley choked out, grabbing at the woman's arms for leverage. She'd winced and felt her eyes tear up from the pressure. Her rifle was out of reach now, dropping to the ground when she was grabbed.
A number of gunshots had went off from the otherside of the terminal. Anna had been taking cover behind a counter, taking wild shots at the woman. She wasn't particularly worried about whether or not she hit Crowley. If she did, oh well, if she didn't, then atleast she hit the monster.

Roger, having been shoved aside, got up as quickly as he could. He turned to see Allison being throttled by the bloody woman. Bullets whizzed past the both of them, but they weren't doing anything to her.
"Allison!" Roger yelled out, flicking his baton out and rushing Marion once more. He hit the baton across the back of her leg while smashing the edge of his shield into her head. The super-human dropped onto her knee and took the blow to the head hard, but stayed up, loosening her grip on Allison however.
With her steadier footing, Crowley twisted Marion's wrists back and pushed them back into their sockets, while simultaneously pushing herself away. She'd coughed and gagged a little, grabbing at her sore neck with arm and reaching for the S. Deckard on her back. Putting ditance between herself and Marion, she started taking shots at her, nailing her twice in the face and another time in her neck. Blood gushed from the woulds and she'd collapsed onto her side, squirming a little.
"Roger! Get...away...from her!" she coughed out. Roger did as he was told and backed away putting his baton in it's holster and drawing his own glock on the woman.

By this time, Anna and Rich both had broke open their cases, grabbing at their weapons and loading them up. Switching glances between the Super Human and her weapon, she'd seen her collapse. "Is she down for good?" she asked, looking back at Rich. "No," Rich said, focusing on loading his rifle. "Those things don't die normal.""But she's riddled with holes bleeding on everything," she said, training her rifle on the woman's motionless body. ================================== Crowley had been breathing hard, heart clamouring in her chest when she'd lowered her weapon slightly. The woman had stopped moving but...she could see her chest rise and fall. Before she could breathe a word, she heard low whimpering. Marion had began to whimper and cry something inaudible. She'd began to stir again, rolling over and trying to get up, only to fail and collapse into her own pool of blood. Still, she cried and moaned. The mercenary had taken another step back. The Super Human's arms and legs began to crunch and stretch out longer. As it did, the flesh along her body had began to rip and tear in places, exposing muscle and metal. She cried out louder, almost like in agonizing pain. Convulsing, her clothes began to rip apart and her features began to stretch into something inhuman. "She's mutating!" Crowley finally said, watching in horror as the woman began getting onto her knees. The metal braces in her body snapped apart, jutting out through her muscle and what was left of her flesh. "Mama...Mama help me! Mama it hurts!" she cried aloud, grabbing at her falling hair. She'd tried to make the pain stop, but it wouldn't. Her entire body was on fire and there wasn't anything she could do about it. Trying to grasp at her hair, it began falling and tearing into her fingers, exposing a bloody scalp. "Mama...mama..." she sobbed. Crowley grabbed at her AK-74 she'd dropped and pointed it at the woman. "Marion...I'm sorry," she muttered, pulling on the trigger and sending out a string of bullets at her. When she did, she made a completely loud screech, her exaggerated, elongated, body flailing about in the fire. It screeched out at her and jumped out of the line of fire, leaping over Roger to get away for a moment. Her body hadn't finished changing, her nail beds began splitting apart, making way for large talons.

Roger looked up at the creature leap over him and lurch away unnaturally. His face contorted as he felt a piece of stray skin fall onto him. He yelped and brushed it off, backing up towards Allison as he did so.
"Rifle's loaded?" Rich asked pulling the bolt back on his.
"Yeah. Remember, take aim, inhale, pull the trigger, exhale," Anna said, using the iron sight of the rifle while the creature began crawling along the walls and ceiling.
"You're talking to the guy who shot out a helicopter gun," Rich said smirking while aiming his rifle as well.
Crowley lowered her weapon and grabbed ahold of Roger's shoulder. "We should get going before she starts to attack again," she told him.
"Right, good idea," Roger said, taking his gaze off the creature. As she pulled him away and started moving quickly towards the exit, the monster peered down at them from the ceiling. It's muscles tighted and it let out a screech before leaping straight at the pair, shots from the Holden's rifles hitting the spot she once clinged to.
In mere moments, she was on Allison and Roger. Her large arm had smashed into Roger's shield and broke the upper portion weakened by a previous gunshot and forced him to the ground with a loud cry of pain. Crouching over him, she wrapped her elongated fingers around him and picked him up, like a gorilla holding a kitten, she was not gentle.
"Roger!" Crowley shouted out, trying to take a shot at her. The creature had flung him around in her grasp, forcing Crowley to seize fire. When another shot went off, Crowley immediately had snapped her attention toward Anna.
"Stop it! You'll hit Roger!" she cried out, eyes widened. "She'll kill 'im if I stop!" Anna yelled back.
While Crowley's attention was off her, Marion batted her off hand at her, knocking the merc aside. The creature let out another screech and started lurching away towards a large window overlooking the runway. She leaped forward, crashing through the glass and rolling onto the wet pavement outside. It's spidery limbs flailed about, releasing Roger in a confused stupor, as though it hadn't seen the glass at all.

Crowley tumbled back from the swipe, slamming her back into a nearby bench. "Umph!" she grunted, grimacing. She'd felt a snap and a sharp pain in her left arm. Her stitches popped. She didn't have time to worry about it, Roger needed her. She rolled back onto her feet, grabbing at the rifle again and quickly reloading.
She'd seen Anna and Rich running off to follow after the monster crashing through the window. She followed in tow, wincing occasionally at the pain in her shoulder.
Marion recollected itself, looking down at it's hands to find Roger was no longer in them. She'd roared out, looking all around herself like a confused child. That's when she'd seen the biker. He'd been trying to desperately crawl away. When she'd gotten back up, she'd made her way after him, reaching an arm down to grab him.
"Hey Marion!"
The creature looked back at the voice to see Anna taking a shot at her. She'd tried to move away quickly, but her lumbering arms and legs had slowed her down quite a bit. She'd been hit, a hollow point round tearing into her side.
Letting out another screech, she'd turned her attention onto her target, getting down on all fours and running at her full-tilt.

"Anna, go!" Rich called out through the storm, while firing at the beast with his own rifle. Anna moved out of her way and strafe around her while she ran forward. She'd taken the time to pull back the lever and take another shot at her. At the same time, Rich circled around the opposite side of Marion, splitting her targets in half and causing her to get confused.
Rich's shots kept missing and it worried the crap out of him. The thing was huge, but it kept moving erratically, and with the wind, rain and darkness, it was harder to hit than he thought. One shot hit it's side, but the damn hollow-point broke apart on a metal crutch jutting out of her body.
"Anna! It's got f*ckin' metal sh*t all over it! The hollow-points can't pierce it!" he shouted into his radio.
"Well f*ck!" he heard her say.
Marion began to buck and squeal, clutching at her head.
"Did you see that?!" Anna yelled.
"Yeah, what's wrong with her?" Rich said asked into his headset before taking another shot at her.
The creature crouched down, still holding onto where her ears should have been. She began to screech and wail in pain, unable to move. Another string of shots had errupted, several rounds tearing through her chest. Crowley had been standing a distance away from her and glanced at Rich who was closer to her.
"Keep using the headsets! Don't stop talking!" she yelled at him.
"Don't stop talking, I can do that ya yeller, land lubbin', son of a gun, bisket-griddle..." he started mouthing off into his headset.
"F*ckin b*tch won't f*cking die, that motherless wh*re bag, b*tch!" Anna cussed into the headset over and over. As she did, she'd came out of hiding and started taking shots at the creature, Crowley doing the same.
Marion held onto her head, and began punching itself in a vain attempt to drown the pain out. It then began flailing about before crawling away preternaturally fast. A visible stream of blood sloshed around the ground, washed about in the rain.
"F*ck where'd she go!?" Rich called out, the large figure disappearing from the lit up sections of the runway and into the dark recesses of the airport.

Crowley took the time to run through the runway, looking for Roger. "Roger! Roger where are you?!" she called, trying to yell over the hard, falling, rain. She'd looked left to right, frantically. "Roger!"
"Allison!" Roger called out, following her voice and coming into the light of the spotlights. "Is it dead? Did you kill it?" he said, a mix of fear and hope in his voice.
She'd ran upto him and grabbed at his shoulders, trying to look him over. "No, she ran off, c'mon, we gotta get you somewhere to hide. Are you hurt?" she asked.
"Not that much, my chest hurts though," he told her. His leathers had some cuts here and there, but there wasn't any bleeding and his underarmor was still intact from the looks of it.
"She must've squeezed you too tight, c'mon, let's get you somewhere safe," she told him, trying to lead him away. "The Holden's will be okay for a coupla minutes without me," she said.
"Shouldn't we stick together?" Roger asked, straining his voice over the rain.
"Are you in any condition to keep fighting? And don't lie to me. I know you'll convince yourself to keep going."
"I'll be fine, I'm fine," he lied.
Allison looked at him for a short moment and frowned. "You're lying."
Meanwhile, Anna had ran out of ammunition for her rifle and with it now slung on her back, she'd been jogging through the runway with her .45 and tactical flashlight. She'd waved the light back and fourth, looking for Marion, but she hadn't been anywhere...that she could see.
"Rich, do you see her anywhere?" she asked.
"She's like a f*ckin' ghost, she's here somewhere though," she heard him say over her headset.
"Dammit," she muttered. As she swung her flashlight around, she saw something, moving the light back, it was just an incline filled with water. Anna squinted at it and wiped the excess water off of her face. "I know...I saw something..."
She suddenly felt something brush across her foot. Looking down, she'd seen a large roach, not your every day house roaches, but a G infected roach, the size of a cat.
"AH F*CK!" she yelled, kicking it off.
Crack.
She heard a bone snap behind her. Spinning around on her heel, she'd shone the light forward. "OF FU--!!"

Rich was searching around for the monster when he heard his wife's screams from across the runway.
"ANNA!"he shouted running in that direction. He saw the light from her flashlight waving around in every direction as she was drug by her leg across the runway.
Marion had been moving quickly across the runway, intending on taking it's victim somewhere quiet to feed on. Anna had been kicking her other leg, screaming and flailing around. "RICHARD! HELP ME! PLEASE!"
"ANNA!" Richard shouted again, stopping and raising his rifle.
Come on you only get one shot at this. If you mess this up Anna dies and it's all your fault.
Rich held his breath, took aim, exhaled slowly, and squeezed the trigger.
The shot missed by mere inches and Marion only kept going. Anna's screams had intensified, her jacket riding up and her back scraping against the cement.
F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck she's gonna die she's gonna die she's gonna die oh God
He pulled the bolt back and readied his sights again.
Aim down sight, breath erratic, shot lined, fire!
Marion suddenly jerked aside, releasing it's grip around Anna's leg. It began to screech again, trying to pick itself up off the floor, more blood gushing from the new wound. Anna had rolled along the cement, lying motionless.
"ANNA!"[/I] Rich shouted, his voice cracking as he ran towards her. "YOU DON'T GET TO DIE SOFT!" he shouted angrily, his eyes puffy and his cheeks welled up as he pulled the bolt back and fired at her again.
Marion roared out, falling back onto her side and flailing around. She'd tried to put her good arm out, trying to grab ahold of something to help lift itself up.
"No!" he fired again, this time at her chest. "No you don't!"
She continued to flail about until she'd managed to swipe an arm at Rich's legs, knocking him onto his back. When he did, she'd looked over at Anna's form and started dragging itself to get to her. If it could just eat her...she'd be able to keep going.
"NooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Rich roared out, drawing his .45 on his side and emptying the clip into the monster as fast as he could.
Marion immediately hesitated right as it grabbed ahold of the agent's foot. It's entire body began to tremble and convulse violently. A mixture of frothy blood and saliva began to foam at her mouth while she screeched out loud. After a moment, her head had dropped, smacking into the ground. There was no movement after that.

Crowley had noticed the waving light across the runway from them. Something was wrong, someone had gotten grabbed. She and Roger had tried to run after it, hoping it wasn't too late, but when they finally made it there, they'd spotted Anna's body and Marion's next to it. Richard had been popping bullet after bullet into Marion's torso until finally, she'd seized to move.
Panting a little, she'd stared at the sight in awe. Unsure of what to say, she'd quickly unsnapped the pill case from her back and approached Richard. "Here."
Richard tossed his gun aside and took the case, crawling over to Anna. "Anna, Anna, please wake up, take this, come on, Anna, please..."
Anna had been semi-conscious. Her face was dripping wet, hair matting her face and a large, bloody scrape across her cheek and temple. Her eyes were half open and red. She looked like she was staring at him, but considering the glazed over expression, it wasn't a sure thing.
He pushed three of the pills into her mouth and rubbed her throat. "Anna, come on, come on, please..." he continued pleading.
Crowley looked on at the site, her heart was still pounding. "Give them a moment, those pills don't work in an instant..." she said, pushing wet clumps of hair off of her own face. "Let's get her inside the airport," she told him.
