Arc flexed his arm after Anna had popped it back into place. It was moving well enough, he could put up with the pain. Just as long as he could shoot, he would be fine. "Its alright, ill be fine... Now, about getting off this rooftop..." Arc walked over to the edge of the roof, and peered down onto the ground. It was intimidatingly high, one fall would be instant death, broken legs if your lucky. But his attention was quickly set back to the exit when he heard moaning. Raising his SMG toward the noise, he checked over toward Anna, who had her pipe drawn. The grenade had blasted away most of them, but there was just so much more following. "Nah, screw this... Were getting outta here alive!"
Arc hated being the one giving orders, he was used to taking them, but its not like Anna was going to stay on the rooftop and see the end. He turned around, and ran toward the front of the building, and jumped off the edge of the roof. Landing not even eight feet below, he crouched on the third floor balcony. Climbing up onto the railing corner, he balanced himself, and then waited for Anna to look down.

Anna watched Arc's crazy action before glancing back at the incoming crowd. She shrugged a little and ran off towards the edge. The woman then jumped down, barely missing the balcony, had she not reached an arm out and grabbed ahold of the railing. She winced a little, struggling to pull herself up.
"God dammit.." she said, through clenched teeth. She hesitantly let go of her iron pipe and swung her other arm up and grabbed the railing. After a bit of a struggle, she pulled herself up as two of the undead came fumbling down and passed the balcony.
Anna rubbed at her sore arms and looked overthe railing, shaking her head. "Poor bastard."

Arc watched as Anna grabbed the edge, but by the time he reacted, she had already pulled herself up. She already proved to be strong willed in his book, which made the journey much easier. Arc jumped down, grabbing the bottom of the balcony Anna stood on, and then realeased himself. There was much more gap between then, the fall would be trickier, and one slip up could cost you a broken bone. Following the same pattern with the rest of the decent, he finally reached the ground, seeing the fallen zombies that had hit the concrete. Arc looked up, watching Anna get down carefully behind him.
Arc looked up and down the area with his SMG drawn, scoping out for anymore infected that could be lurking around. He would like to plan on where they would be going next, or if they would actually be sticking together or not. He really didnt have a plan, coming back to Raccoon City was still a mystery. Guess he just wanted to see how things changed...

As Anna had gotten to the ground below, she looked over and spotted her fallen iron pipe. Walking over to grab it, she looked around their environment, cautiously.
"Huh.." she breathed, her pale cheeks flushed from the adrenaline rush she was recovering from. As quickly as she grabbed the pipe, she tucked it back into her belt loop.
"There's a gas station a block away. Gonna press my luck, try to grab some gas and fill up my tank. You comin' with me or going to run off and play Mr.Hero somewhere?" she asked, somewhat sarcastically. She was making it quite obvious to Arc that she quite frankly could care less what he did.
She wasn't trying to be mean that's just how Anna worked. That and she wasn't ready to grow fond of someone who'll just end up dying anyway. Still though, it would be great to have someone else to talk to other than herself.

Arc ran through the streets of Raccoon City alongside Jess, a former STARS member whome he met on the inside. The city was infested with the creatures, they were all over the place. As they ended up at the Riverside Condos, things slowed down a bit. Not man people were left in the area, so a most of the zombies had just left. But as soon as they both arrived, the undead followed. They werent gonna be here for long, transmissions could get some service if they were in the open edge of the city. Static came and static went, but Jess was able to pick up voices, something about a chopper. It was an external radio, and most of the sound was cut off by the sound of engine and propellers. It was getting louder, and louder, and louder...
Arc quickly snapped back into reality, turning to Anna. "Mr. Hero..." He spoke lightly. "Well... I think I should probably-" He knew taking seperate ways would be for the better, he had his goals, she had hers. But then he remembered back, Anna was just the same as Jess. Thats the reason why he returned to Raccoon City, to see if Jess was still alive. He was certain she was, but wouldnt be satisfied until they met once again. Until then, there was no end to this line, he would just keep searching. Arc looked back at Anna, and then spoke. "-tag along..." He nodded, and then walked over to Anna, gesturing that she should lead the way. "Heh... Ladies first..."

Anna quirked a slender, dark brow at the man. For a moment it seemed like he was off somewhere else. A look she was all too familiar with. She wore it well, herself. She sighed a little, scratching her forehead, shifting her bangs around.
"Alright then, Griffin. Let me go grab my Gas container from the trunk and we'll start walkin'," she finally replied, jogging passed him. As she did so, she took the time to notice there were still a few of the dead shuffling about. They were scattered and nowhere near their personal space so she didn't bother to mention it.
As the duo approached the lone, banged up SUV, Anna finally decided to ask.
"So why'd you come to Raccoon? This place was the core of the outbreak...Didn't think anyone would wannaset foot here..." she trailed off, her thoughts drifting off to Richard for a moment. Her jaw clenched as she shook her head and pulled open the trunk.

Arc looked at Anna as she lifted open the truck of the SUV. The question had caught him off guard, nobody usually asked that question to him before. But he always asks himself the same thing, why he came back was a mystery sometimes. After all this time, he didnt know why he still thought Jess would be here, why she would come back. Perhaps she was searching for him, ironically enough, just as he was searching for her. Arc looked back to Anna, closing the trunk for her once she grabbed the empty gas can out of the back. "I really dont know, to tell you the truth... I think I came to the wrong place..." Anna started walking toward the direction of the gas station, as Arc followed here. Keeping up close with her pace, he pulled out a photo, and showed it to her. "Im looking for someone..."

Anna continued walking forward before glancing at the photo of a woman with short brown hair and blue eyes. She raised an eyebrow once more, struggling to remember whether or not she's seen anyone like that during her travels. Surprisingly she recognized the logo on her sleeve.
"I think I've seen her before. Her name's Jess, a former S.T.A.R.S. Operative right? Thought she'd be dead, apparently not. That was along time ago though...Back in 1998," she paused and her lips curled into a smirk.
"She your girlfriend? Or wife maybe? I haven't seen her, sorry."

Arc looked at Anna somewhat uncomfourtably, and then placed the photograph back inside his pocket. Thats one thing he hoped wasnt true, she couldnt be dead. It was just impossible, not after all theyve been through. "No, its nothing like that..." Arc looked forward, it was like her could almost picture her running through the infected. Raccoon City may have been rebuilt, but it still seemed like the same old mean streets. "Shes like a part of me I cant let go..." This was the truth, they werent lovers, but they werent really friends, either. Splitting up after the chopper let her off at Arklay, why didnt he go with her? But things happen for a reason, and he wouldnt be here now if things were different.
Returning to South America was his priority, still so many people there were getting hit with things worsh then the virus, if thats hard to beleive. The government over there was still taking all the power to his head, people die because it makes others sad, and that makes him happy. But Arc planned to change that, working on his side, gaining his trust, and then ending it all. That was his plan, but. The virus made things difficult. And in the end, he found himself back in the same place he was fourteen years prior. "You said you know her?"

By that time, the two had reached the gas station. Anna had rubbed the back of her neck asshe approached one of the gas pumps. She knelt onto her left knee and twisted the nozzle of the container open.
"Yes and no. I was a former officer of the RPD. Select Police Force actually. I had seen every single S.T.A.R.S. member during my time there. Jess was one of them that I didn't really talk to. Didn't talk to any of them actually. Just know them by face and name," she replied. She kicked at the pump a little and looked over at the actual station.
"You grab a pump and I'll go activate it. "

[Press play when you read paragraph two]
Arc unscrewed the lid from the empty cas can, and then layed it next to it. He then grabbed a pump, and set the end of it inside of the neck, and then signalled for Anna to activate it. After a few seconds, the gas started to come out, as she held onto both the hose and the can at the same time steadily. After it was getting full, he manually stopped it from the neck, and then put the cap back on. But something caught his attention, thumping coming from behind the building raised his suspision. Anna more then likely heard it too, the both of them searched for what was making the sound.
Just then, a loud screech and growl came from the distance, but soon got close. It was a group of hunters, they caught Arcs and Annas scent. His first instinct was to open fire with his SMG, but then he picked up the gas can, and drew his .45 with his free hand. He was a bit uncomfourtable about fireing it with one hand, but he would manage any of the oncoming beasts got closer. "Watch my back! Ill get to the SUV and fill it, you hold them off!"

Anna sprinted out of the building with her shotgun in her grasp. She gritted her teeth sharply before muttering a few explicitives and running at them in full tilt. She couldn't just shoot them where she was, she might hit a pump and blow her and Arc to hell.
One of the hunters pounced at her, reeling it's giant claws back and then sweeping at her. Anna rolled beneath the attack and onto her feet, knocking one hunter aside with the butt of her weapon and kicking another one back.
They made a loud screaching hiss and waddled after her. She looked back, checking on Arc before completely turning around and pulling the trigger of her shotgun.
KABLAM!
Two hunters flew back, but two others were still coming at her. As they drew their claws up, Anna quickly dropped the spent shells and reloaded another two into the barrels. Another quick cock and she took aim.
Right as she did, a hunter slashed at her face. Luckily she had fallen back on her ass, barely managing to escape an instant kill. She reeled back a bit more and pulled the trigger again.
KABLAM!
Then once more...
KABLAM!
"You done yet, Arc!?" she called, watching two of them get right back up.

Arc ran for the SUV, making it to the back and crouching near the gastank. He could hear the shotgun going off several times, knowing that the hunters would be after Anna instead himself. It seemed like it was a good five minuits to get there, unscrew the cap, and then put the gas inside as quickly as possible. After the gas was all inside, he opened up the passenger side door, and threw the can in the backseat from the front. Before opening the door, Arc put away his .45 and then aimed his SMG tightly at one of the hunters. Taking small single shots toward the feind, he managed to take one down, but by now the other was getting too close to Anna, and he didnt want to risk hitting her in the crossfire.
But even still, Arc kept his gun aimed toward them both, incase he could sneak in a lucky shot, or his friend needed backup. Through the scope, he could see in the distance, a large group of infected. They were alarmed by the gunfire, and came to see if they could get in another meal. The distance between them and Anna was a good twenty or so yards, and this didnt alarm him as much. But in all, she could make a run for it to the SUV easily, and drive them out of here. Where they were gonna go next was oblivious to him, but right now, anywheres in the city could be better then sticking around here.

Anna growled a little and quickly glanced to her side at the unwanted company. She turned her attention back to the hunters and sprinted passed them, clutching her shotgun tightly.
Breathing hard and through her nose, she could hear the loud clicks of the monsters behind her. As she neared the SUV, another one of those monsters leaped at her, claws drawn.
Anna quickly dropped the spent shells and loaded in another two, mumbling about being low on shells now. She spun around and right as the monster was in mid-air she blasted it with a single shot, sending it flying back.
The woman then tossed her shotgun in the vehicle and hopped in,slamming the door shut. Afterward, she reached into her pockets and pulled out a key with a chain attached to it. Once she started the truck, there was aloud thunk and the ceiling dented inward, sending the vehicle rocking back and fourth.
"Ah! Dammit! Hold on!" she yelled out, shifting the gear into reverse. She looked over her shoulder and started backing up as quick as she could. As she did this, loud scraping and sparks flew off the vehicle as the monster above slashed full force at the rooftop.
Anna suddenly hit the break and then shifted the gear back into drive, slamming her foot on the gas pedal and speeding off, sending the hunter flying off.

Arc watched as Anna put the keys in the ignition, but then was caught offguard by the hunter on the roof. The first thing he did was brace the above handle to his right, holding on tightly as the car shook. But as quickly as this happened, Anna reversed the car, and then quickly drove forward, as Arc hit his back against the seat hard. But he saw the hunter fly off, rolling several times across the pavement with a loud scrape. He took this time to look at the maganize inside his SMG, seeing he was down to about fifteen around. His clips were larger then standard issue, but then again, there was no standard issue of his model machine gun. It was customized, american made at his time in South America. Which gave him all the advantage for his work.
Arc drove the clip back inside, and then rested it back on side, staring out the front windshield. The zombies had most of the road blocked, but 'blocked' wasnt exactly a good choice or words. As the SUV drove forward, he knew it was going to be a bumpy ride onto the streets. Arc pressed himself back in the seat, and rose his leg up, pinning it against the dash infront of him. "Better hold on to something, Anna!" He spoke louder then his normal voice, as the SUV sped toward the line up of undead.
