(in German)"You should believe me. Why should I lie? I have no reason to." responding to the other man who seemed to either only know German or was trying to insult him. He continued to sit in the chair not moving, he had only wanted to pass some time but it seems either this merc has a chip on his shoulder or he likes to pick fights.
(in German)"If you do not want to be friendly, I can only leave you ****ed off." He said just making sure that the man could understand him. With all these hostile f**kers why did the world allow zeds? Its either a zombie trying to eat you or these kinds of guys who wouldn't think twice about shooting you. He could tell that the other man wasn't scared, but why would he be? Russell kept his destructive ways on the enemy or the enemy's cars and buildings. Yet a good fist fight would cut the tension or just kill some time in a different way.
OOC: I translated it to keep with the proboard rules and RERPG rules. I think you two can put it in German in your mind. Sorry about that Edge.

Ulrich looked up, staring at the man, cold eyes watching the man, studying, his brain working overdrive to learn anything he could simply from the man's speech and body language. Then.... he chuckled. It was a hearty laugh, coming straight from his belly. It was nice to have a few German speakers. It'd be even better during combat, when they needed to hide something from the enemy. Ulrich was becoming more and more in a good mood.
"Ulrich Vanderbuss. So you've fought with those abominations as well?" Ulrich glanced about between the two other soldiers of fortune. "I suppose we'd better hope we end up in the same group for missions then, na? It will be nice to have a couple men with their heads screwed on properly to work with. I hope you two feel the same."

"Well of course it would. Though Ulrich, if you haven't fought the damn creatures you probably wouldn't either be alive or working for Tricell. So of course we all have." Said Russell looking at the man who's mood has taken a turn for the better. "I don't know if we would be working together unless I request you two to work with the Special Forces branch of Tricell Nomad. Anything is possible" Finishes Russell hinting at the possibilities of what may happen.
Russell sits up in the chair, hoping they could go anywhere and do something productive but doesn't get up. He looks at his watch then the other two. "You two wanna go anywhere at all and kill something?" Russell asks the other two Germans.

Ulrich sat back, letting Matt answer. He didn't care one way or the other right now. He was busy off in "lalaland" thinking on things that were, and what may be. Would they indeed be together for missions? Perhaps they would be enemies in a later event. Ulrich was no philosopher, but it always interested him in thinking these things through.

Matt sat there and looked at Ulrich and Russell. He was prepared for a fight to break out between the two men but was somewhat surprised about Ulrich had just started talking. (In German) "Well I guess it is okay to me. I need to do something anyway to keep myself from going mad with total boredom." He turned and looked at Ulrich and then said (In German) "Do you want to go and shoot something?"

Ulrich shrugged, not caring. It'd be nice to be able to shoot at something, no, anything. "I don't see why not. It may be good to practice before something happens." He pointed at Matt and added, "Especially with your skills at shooting!" He laughed with a mocking tone. He walked towards Russell, not paying attention to Matt's protests or arguments. "Let's go." He said to Russell.
*Russell, Matt and Ulrich are now in the Shooting Gallery*

Miranda made her way out into the halls of Tricell HQ, just leaving the briefing room. Even though she had just left her mind mulled over the details they had just gone over, reprocessing, and mentally sorting them for work's research, but also for her personal studies. The reports had mentioned a new strain of the virus being found in Spain. The operator of the briefing had gone over how a small pack of these new infected had killed several strike teams of Tricell's task group, that was all irrelevant to her she erased it from memory. The details that did resonate with her could be found in the biological data.
These new infected seemed to learn from their combatants, something which wasn't technically new in terms of special infected such as BOWs or Tyrants. What made this different was how the knowledge seemed to instantly be learned by all of the new breed, not just the individual experiencing it. They seemed to communicate and share information without any form of visual or audible communication. This meant that the mutations on the breed's brain tissue far exceeded the mutations seen on the surface. Tricell wanted her to discover how these infected mentally communicated, and how best to implement the same process into tyrants, BOWs, and Super Humans. Personally she wanted to test the brain structure for a new idea she had in the way of creating a stand alone smart AI. Her previous idea involved using the human brain's pattern of constant ever changing, and growing neural pathways as a way to expand the processing power and expected life of an artificial intellegence. However this new data presented some interesting possibilites to her, several oppurtunities she wished to explore further.
Lost in thought Miranda had made her way around the maze like halls of Tricell and found that she had stopped in a deserted hall, a pack of cigarettes in her hand. She'd picked up smoking a while back as a way to calm her ever running mind. She knew all the nasty and terrible side effects the cancer sticks caused, but by doing so she shut down her mind so she didnt think of such things, thus keeping it more quiet than usual allowing her to relax a bit. She lite up and took a long drag. She exhaled then ran her free hand over her face and finished off by running her slender fingers through her shoulder length blonde hair, pulling it back and out of her face.
She finished the smoke and dropped it to the pristine white floor before squashing it out with the boot of her [ARTEMIS] suit. Taking note of how void of personal the hallway she'd found herself in was, Miranda opted to stay in the quiet solitude. Here she would be away from bumping shoulders in the busy halls, and away from anyone seeking her out in her lab. She began pacing the short length of the hall going from wall to wall. While doing so she combed over every detail of the briefing. She mentally ran equations, came up with theories and ideas for the mission she was soon to embark on. She wanted to completely have her mind wrapped around it. Then she realized she'd left out one important aspect, her partner. His name was Lucious Tudor.
"Gideon. Pull me the profile for a Lucious Tudor. He works for the Tricell Special Tasks Unit." She spoke out loud to her micro AI Gideon. He was what Miranda considered a 'Dumb AI'. Which simply meant that it wasn't the type of Artificial Intellegence to think and respond to situations on its own. It had to be pre-programmed, or told what to do. And then it responded by following orders, and displaying its work in a variety of fashions. Far different from what Miranda had in mind for the next level of AI, which she had dubbed 'Smart AI'. "I have allocated the files ma'am. Uploading them to your retina display."
Just as Gideon finished speaking Miranda's field of view was visited with a pleasant teal color lacing everything she saw. Then from the bottom right somewhere always just out of view a teal square grew taking its place squarely over anything she saw. The box then filled itself with information on her soon-to-be field partner. She skimmed his profile taking in just about anything she thought of use and mentally highlighting portions as notes. Then with a blink of her eye she sent the teal square back to its origin in the same manner it had came.
It was then that the anticipation of her first field study in years began to set in. She leaned against the wall, arching her back once before letting it relax against the cool surface. She then ran both of her hands through her hair before letting out a long sigh.

Lucious' boots seemed to echo out in the empty hallway as he calmly walked away from the briefing. It seemd like a basic escort/capture mission. Some new mutation, some new magnificant specimen, was seen in spain. And this one appeared to have an ability to learn and grow at an astonishing rate. From the way it was described, it seemed the species' mind acted like a hive of sorts. If one learnt something, all of them would. Details on the physiology of the creatures themselves were vague, though the idea of a hive mind instantly made Lucious think of an insect sort of mutation.
Its mental abilities aside, Lucious was more curious about its physiology. These creatures had shown capable of wiping out several strike teams. These men were no slouches either. These mutants had superb tactical abilities, but they would certainly need the physical attributes to back them up. Lucious smiled as he thought of taking one of these mystery mutants and taking it apart, seeing how every single little thing of it worked.
Then there was the scientist his team would be escorting. Miranda C. Isaacs was it? Strange how they would have them bring a scientist into the field, especially if these creatures were as dangerous as the briefing made them out to be. Surely this Miranda person would be able to handle herself. If not, well, he could always bring a body back to the lab for them to study. If they lost her, they lost her.
Lucious paused as he noticed the lone woman standing not too far away from him, smoking a cigarette. Speak of the devil. There she was. He recognised her from the picture he was shown of her. He could instantly tell that she was the type of person who prefered her work over human interaction. Someone truly dedicated to his job. Just like himself really.
Lucious gave a small smile as he walked over. No harm in getting to know a fellow 'operative'. "Dr. Miranda C. Isaacs I presume," he spoke out, his voice echoing as he approached her.

"Dr. Miranda Isaacs I presume." came a voice down the hall, the foot steps echoing in the silence, and approaching her. Miranda dropped her hands from her head and put on her 'social' face. Arching up and off the wall she turned to face the oncoming person. The red hair, eyes, and tattoo easily gave him away. "Lucious Tudor. Pleasure to meet you," she took a few steps toward him and met him in the middle of the hall. She held up her hand for a very lady-like shake. "I look forward to working with you on our upcoming field operation. Very interesting subjects, wouldnt you agree?" She was probing him to see what type of man he was. She prayed he wasnt the gun-ho type who would run in a kill everything before she had a chance to observe the breed.
Digging a bit deeper she decided to inform him of some of the things she'd been able to find in the short time since the meeting. "This mutation is hard to determine much about without seeing it in person. The description has lead me to believe its attributed to a sort of hive mind. However I havent completely ruled out some sort of psionic communication." She paused to switch up the aspects she had gone over, also giving Tudor an oppurtunity for input. "The strange part is the embarassing lack of visual data they have on them. Im assuming their isnt much mutation to the body since the virus would have had to focus much more on altering the brain. But we will have to determine that when we get there."
She wrapped it up there, feeling like she was already talking too much. She hated interacting with people. But she used the oppurtunity to look Lucious over. Black suit, red undershirt, he sure liked to match. But he carried himself like someone who knew what he was doing and that helped her to trust in him a bit, especially once they got in the field. She'd need someone to lead the troops they would be sent with, that would allow her to focus on studying the mutation of the infected. Thats all she really cared about.

Lucious nodded, quietly looking over the woman as she spoke to him. She was definately someone who was into her work, especially how she spoke about the subject. The equipment she wore was interesting as well. Not exactly a subject Lucious was interested in, but no doubt Tricell would want that technology back, even if Miranda didn't.
"It is indeed interesting Dr. Isaacs," Lucious spoke up when she had finished, "A hive mind was my first impression as well. That would certainly be the fastest method of sharing information. Also, judging by such, I can only guess that the creature may have some insect traits to them. I must say, I'm just as eager as you are to see such a creature, and how they behave."
Lucious smirked as he looked Miranda in the eye. "I do hope you are prepared Doctor. You've clearly been briefed on how dangerous this new species appears to be."

Miranda found herself nearly offended when Lucious made mention of being prepared. "I wouldn't so much worry about me being ready Mr. Tudor. This infection has already proven to be too much for several of your unit. My job is simply to study the breed, not combat it. Your teams job is to keep me alive while I do that. But just to ease your mind I'm not exactly totally useless on the battlefield. I will be equipped appropiately."
She tilted her head inquisitively while looking into Lucious' red eyes. "Say, you where a doctor once. You will be interested in studying this species as well wont you? Once on the field we well need to study the infected before engaging them. Attacking would instantly result in the same fate as the ones before us. Dont you agree? If we can figure out a better idea on how they work before hand we may be able to isolate one without alerting the others." She realized she was getting ahead of herself.
"It looks like we will need to be leaving soon. How about you go round up your troops and meet me at the heliport. Our ride leaves soon." She turned and proceeded down the hall back to her lab.
A half hour later Miranda found herself standing in the heliport at a Tricell Blackbird. She had already equipped herself with the proper tools. Her medical instruments (scaples, saws, and the like), a few solid state drives to record data, the appropriate chemicals to test the subjects, and also her MP5, and SOCOM pistol. The pilot of their ride had already spun up the bird and they would be ready for take off as soon as Lucious and his team arrived.

Lucious couldn't help but chuckle as Miranda turned and walked off down the hall to prepare. Once she was off down the hall, Lucious turned and headed off to collect his men. They should be ready for the mission by now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Half an hour later, Lucious made his way onto the helipad, his force of ten soldiers following directly behind her. He gave a small smile as he saw the good doctor waiting by the blackbird, ready to go. With the helicopter roaring to life and ready to go, Lucious signalled for his men to board. As they boarded the helicopter, Lucious turned to Miranda, a small smile that hinted at his eagerness on his face.
"Ready for your first mission doctor?"

Miranda flipped her hair very matter-of-factly. [teal] "This is far from my first mission Mr. Lucious."[/teal] She turned and mounted the helicopter. Once buckled in she tapped the pilot on the shoulder and let them know everyone was ready to go. The chopper revved, and the blades began splitting the very air. Soon enough they where in the sky and on their way. It would be a couple hours before they made their complete trip. Miranda took off her headset so she didn't have to listen to random chatter, and let the drone of the rushing wind, and rotary motor fill her ears and drowned out everything else. She leaned her head back against the metal wall behind her and closed her eyes. The darkness usually visible when you close your eyes came alive and started to glow and take form. Her optical HUD appeared and she went to work on yet another project of hers. [Miranda and Lucious exit Tricell Base. Enroute to Spain]
