Abigail listened to the man's lecture with a small smile upon her face, though she was facing the ground, so he likely couldn't have seen it. His lesson to her basically gave her all the information she wanted about him. From what she could tell, he was just a man whom the world left bitter. She glanced at the man once more; he couldn't be that much older than her, maybe late twenties, earlier thirties? Either way, she recognized that something had to have made him cold; she had never met anybody naturally cold-hearted.
When the man had finished talking, she stared him in the eyes. Within his eyes, she could still see his cold outlook. Nevertheless, she continued to gaze him down, her eyes were almost like that of a puppy-dog's. Only minutes later, he finally gave in and accepted her offer, a smirk of success formed with her lips.
At his acceptance, the two turned back around and began to walk. Like she expected, the man asked for her name and where they were going, to which she responded, "My name is Abigail Marie Bertrand." Confidence flew with her words. After introducing herself, she took a lighthearted bow in front of him while they walked. "Well, as you said, we're going to take a detour to grab whatever it is you need, and then we'll head to the Wesley College, where a small group of about five survivors including myself have taken shelter." as she spoke, she wondered how her friends were holding up. Before she had left, there wasn't any of the undead in sight. She hoped that still remained true; the thought of them dying after surviving for so long saddened her.
Remembering that the man was still there, she tilted her head back towards him and asked: "So now that you know my name, what's yours?"
