Two bullets made contact on the ground next to Ito before everyone sprang into action, Desmond ran forward to the truck and dropped to the ground sliding into the side of the truck, he looked at the shotgun in the seat, no good at that range. He watched others open light fire, he grabbed his mask from the dashboard and put it on, he grabbed a pistol next to the drivers seat and stood up in front of the hood before firing a few shots at the rooftops the flashes came from before crouching back behind the triuck. The firing stopped as everyone hid behind various cover, "what a b****"....

"Open fire!" Hicks ordered, Ito slung his sniper-rifle on his back and pulled out his assault rifle.
Ito, Sobczak and Hicks opened fire, a hail of bullets firing toward Simon's position. Gambhir immediately ran from cover and opened the cockpit, jumping in and beginning to start the helicopter.
"Fall back, on the copter!" Hicks ordered, his men rotating in their firing & reloading to prevent any break in the fire to occur.
"**** on the copter than! We'll get a jar and a funnel!" Alvarez growled. She shrugged as the BSAA Agent escaped.
The blades of the copter began to turn, the copter taking off. The doors we're flung open, a heavy-machine gun hammering Simon's position as the Helicopter backed off to a safe-range. Hicks radioed down to Desmond.
"Use your radio! We can't risk this getting damaged, if it does we're all f**ked. Keys are in the glove-compartment, take the truck to the new LZ. We'll give you the location ASAP. If you don't know how to drive, now's a great time!" Hicks voice buzzed over the radio as the helicopter took off into the air and flew away east from the downtown area.
"The boss better hurry the f**k up." Hicks growled.
"Still expect us to think your working alone, b*tch. Or was that just a coincidence?" Alvarez hissed, cocking the trigger on her revolver.
"Dammit, should have taken the shot when I had the chance." Ito growled.
"But then I no fire big-gun." said Sobczak with a grin, still firing the heavy machine-gun at the roof-tops fading in the distance.
"Kill that before you attract the whole city." Hicks ordered.
"Fine..." grumbled Sobczak, slamming the door close as the helicopter faded.
"Hope that kid's alright." Ito said.
"Congrats you sleeper. You've turned a kid into potential rotter day and still failed. Aren't you just a shining example of a BSAA Agent?" Alvarez said.
Hicks radio suddenly began to buzz,
"Pick-up. East wall. Now!" an impatient voice yelled in a distinct British accent. The helicopter altering it's flight-path immediately.
"What about girl?" Sobczak asked.
Hicks laughed, "I doubt that'll be of much consequences now."

Now was Avalons chance. She had to take it or shed be stuck with these lovely people. Gathering all her strength that she had been saving up she made her move.
"I am a shining example, now drop dead" Avalon said with a grin.
(((This is at the point where all concentration is on Simon cept for Alvarez)))
Using the training she's practiced both in the BSAA and from her father Avalon spun in a fashion that broke free from Alvarez. Quickly jumping to her feet, she knock free from her current position and ran towards Simon. The heavy gunas had stopped firing and Avalon was home free. Making a leap of life across the gap between buildings someone began to fire at her.
Most shots missed except for two that grazed the side of her flak vest, and a lucky one that just hit the side of her upper left arm leaving a small wound about 5mm deep and 1cm wide. From the hit Avalon rolled in pain as she landed taking several bruises. Though even this pain wouldn't stop her from using a combination of rolling and pushing with her cuffed hand and legs to get next to simon behind cover. She winced with pain as she took a look at her 'savior'.

[[Outside the East Wall, 2-3 miles away from position of last post]]
The helicopter touched down near Nathanos' position. He shambled over to the vehicle, hopping in and cracking his back.
"How'd it go?" Hicks asked as the helicopter's blades spun and it began to take off.
"Well. The BSAA arrived." Nathanos said.
"Same with us..." Hicks said.
"Really? Yes you mentioned something about a BSAA agent or whatever?" Nathanos said, clearly disinterested. All heads where accounted for, accept the child. Was assumable he didn't make it out of the initial chaos.
"Yes, she escaped a few minutes ago." Hicks reported.
Nathanos shrugged, "Well I doubt it will be of much consequence now. We'll be long gone by the time Agent Stalin gets out of that situation... any word on what the hell was down there?" Nathanos asked.
"Something about Project Hel. Either way we're low on fuel and missing the boy. There's an abandoned helipad in the mountains. We could salvage from there and wait for the kid." Gambhir suggested over the loud-speaker.
"Let's do that then. Time's of the essence though... we'll give him.. well however long it takes for me to get this sorted out." Nathanos said, taking off the Lieutenant's cap and opening his lap-top as the Helicopter left the boundaries of Raccoon City.
[Nathanos has left Raccoon]

(OOC: I'm on another rooftop. Pein, I'm just going to assume that you rolled closer to me)
Before Simon had time to fire his grenade launcher, a door on the helicopter slid open, revealing what looked like a mounted M60. He should have guessed; even though the helicopter looked innocuous enough, this was the TSTU, after all. Taking cover again behind the parapet, he could hear the helicopter's engine whining as the vehicle became airborne. He didn't even bother to return fire this time; a helicopter, though very lightly armored, was a very hard target to hit, especially when it was firing back at him. The vehicle retreated, and Simon watched it leave.
Looking down below, Simon was watchful for any other guards below. Spotting a truck, two rounds arced up at him, causing Simon to nearly lose his balance and fall back onto the roof in surprise. Today was an eventful day; Simon raised his G3, taking careful aim, and fired a three round burst at the truck, hoping to keep his assailant pinned.

(((Yeah thats was i was going for, close enough to talk, and just far enough for the copter to take cover.)))
The helicopter flew away to disapear into the distance. Avalon breathed a sigh of relief, this little nightmare was over. Though she does ponder what they were thinking of doing with her exactly. Then again the only vivid memory she kept was the one of that Alverez's face whom she would never forget.
Working to her feet, Avalon winced in pain again as her sore joints from the tumble for forced to move. Now standing she took a look at her bullet wound and shrugged it off, wasnt really that bad. She was safe and there was someone here on her side, thats all that matters.
Turned around she saw the man stumble, and then shoot at the ground. Avalon's eyes widened as she remembered the kid. Quickly acting she hastened over to the edge of the roof where she could look closely at the man and say what she needed.
"First off, thanks." She said with a smile. "But before we get acuiainted we have to get down there and stop that truck. Its only one kid but he was working with those TSTU." She stated as she looked over the edge at the truck, trying to spot the kid before he left.

The kid hadn't fired back; Simon had no intention of murdering a kid, even if he was shooting back at him. But after hearing that this kid had allied himself with the TSTU, Simon knew he had to do something. Spartoi didn't trust the TSTU, for good reason, based on the many different rumors and confirmed incidents involving the company. They were on their way to becoming the next Umbrella, if they kept this up. Making sure that he wouldn't expose too much of himself to enemy fire, Simon leaned over the roof and shouted,
"I've got a way to stop that truck"
A 40mm would end this quickly, but Simon risked collateral damage with the use of his explosives. So he instead took careful aim, and raked fire across the hood of the truck, aiming for the engine block. A loud pop and a sigh from the vehicle told Simon that he'd probably succeeded in his attack. To make sure, Simon fired his last two rounds at the vehicle's tires, calmly reaching for another magazine as the bolt locked back.

Avalons eyes widened to how quickly the man took out the truck. Now they had all the time to get reequipted before going down to snatch that kid.
"Hey. Umm... Before you do anything would you be a dear and remove these cuffs?" Avalon said holding out her cuffed hands to the man.
She didnt mind that much being in hand cuffs, she seemed to manage with them. Though she couldnt wait another moment to have them removed, and her freedom restored.

Slapping his hand downwards over the charging handle, executing the "HK slap", as it was commonly called, Simon placed his weapon on safe before making the leap from one building to another. The gap wasn't too big; he'd cleared obstacles similar to this during his MOUT training, and though operatives were discouraged from making such jumps, Simon figured for expedience and convenience to execute the maneuver. Tucking and rolling as he came down, Simon stood back up, glancing back down to make sure that his assailant hadn't escaped or prepared another attack. Reaching into his breast pocket, Simon extracted a paperclip. Spartoi had taught him how to formally pick handcuff locks with a paperclip, but he'd learned much younger as a party trick.
Straightening out the paperclip, Simon inserted the clip into the lock hole, bending it at a 45 degree angle and shimmying the thin metal rod until the first cuff popped open. Repeating the process for the second lock, Simon stood back, tossed the cuffs to the ground, and then peered back over the parapet, looking for the kid who'd shot at him. Seeing nothing but a wisp of smoke rising from the ruined hood of the truck, Simon turned for a moment, looking around until he spotted something in the middle of the roof, close to where the helicopter had been. Walking over, Simon chuckled as he held up what looked like a Glock 26, a subcompact handgun. It had obviously been dropped by one of those TSTU goons as they fled, and Simon resisted the urge to laugh. Checking the weapon by ejecting the magazine, Simon could see one round chambered plus a full ten round magazine. Turning around and handing the weapon to the BSAA agent grip first, he peered over the edge again, looking down at the truck.
"I shouldn't be surprised to see the BSAA here. I'm pretty sure I can guess who those guys were; Tricell folks, I'll bet, based on how they treated you. I've got standing orders to engage people like them; I'm sure they're only exacerbating this, and other similar situations. Based on the Redfield report, anyway"
Simon shifted, remembering that his uniform had been stripped of all insignia. He wasn't exactly special ops nor was his presence supposed to be secret, but Spartoi's SOP dictated that operatives be discreet and not advertise their presence, lest Spartoi attract the attention of groups like Tricell who could easily crush them in a straight up battle. But a BSAA agent was an ally, so Simon saw no reason why he couldn't reveal himself.
"Just call me Avitus for now; that's my callsign. I'm from Spartoi, a philanthropic group sponsored by the Greek army. We're collecting more data on recent mutations and trying to hamper guys like Tricell from causing more damage. Glad I could have been of assistance"

Avalon giggled a little bit with a smile. She was pleased with how friendly she was being treated. Something new compared to the last few hours with those crazed people. Holding up the glock for a better look she noticed how much she didnt like the feel. It was so much different to her acustumed Berettas.
"Im Avalon, Ava for short if you want. Obviously im with he BSAA STARS, North America. Though what your probably wondering is why im alone... Well id prefer not to talk about it but its because i cant handle seeing comrades dying or getting injured so i request to solo simple missions." She stated in her usually low voice.
Then a thought came to Avalons mind that brought a little joy to her. Those TSTU didnt take her original equipment with them, they just tost it asside.
"They must still be on the street..." Avalon muttered to herself. "Cmon we gotta get down there." She then said as she moved for the stairs leading downward in the appartment building they were at.

He sprinted from the truck when he heard the thump of the 40mm being shot, it did little but cause the truck to hiss, he flicked his head, flipping the mask down onto his face, he walked out from behind a moving truck trailer, with his hands up, his knife being carried in his hood around his neck, he walked up to the building silently, he would beat them both in a fight, he doubted they would shoot a child, he'd see where they could take him,

Richard emerged from the Eden Corp. office building/warehouse/super secret viral laboratory/God only knew what else to find quite a site. He had exited the building, finding no one around. As he expected. The survivors from the lower levels had fled, the soldiers he didn’t know were there were no where to be seen.
Not breaking his pace, he left the building and took the steps three at a time, almost hopping down them. Half of his speed was in pursuit of his target, the terrorist who had been able to ship BOW’s here under false papers and pretenses, bring down a security blockade, and infiltrate a highly secured laboratory. All while giving Richard, the BSAA STARS agent and former Spetsnaz, the slip. The other half came from the utter adrenaline pumping through his veins, the urge to get clear of the building that had a BOW that he assumed was a spider of some kind who was able to tunnel through solid earth and concrete foundation with ease on top of it.
“Fu*k my life…” Richard said, utterly exhausted. His pace slowed from weariness, having just ran up four flights of steps two at a time without pause between. And after all of that… The terrorist had escaped.
Not one to give up, he went down the street straight in front of him, not sure if he was going to find anything. He slipped the CQB-R from his back and checked the magazine. He honestly didn’t remember how many rounds were in it. He hadn’t used it since the fight with the giant, didn’t dare want to slip it in for fear it only had a few rounds left. Slipping it in the right most slot on his borrowed INTERCEPTOR vest/rig, he grabbed the next full mag and slipped it into the well.
He continued moving, didn’t have to move far before he found the pair of people. He knew the group had a helicopter, he had kept his eyes skyward trying to see it to get the direction they had gone when he noticed them. He could have swore he knew the female. She looked familiar. The roster of STARS agents. Eva? Evangeline? Sounded right. Either way, he knew her as a BSAA agent. That was what was important right now. He could sure use some backup. And judging by the truck in front of him, which looked a lot like the one that had dropped the Gigante off, they were probably after the same thing. A truck that looked very well trashed, bullet holes and twisted metal from multiple large caliber rounds.
He started off in their direction, only for them to start descending the stairs to street level. Almost at the same time, he watched a figure run from the remains of the truck and to the building they were in. He looked hostile, and common sense told him it was the truth. Reaching for the radio at his side, he pressed a button to go to the channel commonly used for BSAA radio traffic in the area. He only hoped she was using it.
“Do not go down, ambush.” He said in a slightly quiet tone, not wanting his voice to carry to the assailant. He pushed the earphone setup for his radio to his neck and pulled off his balaclava, stuffing it into the neck of his vest for quick storage. Jerking the rifle against his shoulder and gripping his other hand in front of the magazine well as a hand grip, he moved in to try and catch the ambusher from behind.

(OOC: Just a note guys, I was a bit ambiguous in my post. I did not fire a 40mm- I figured that would most certainly kill Desmond which is against the rules. Plus, shrapnel in an alley equals a slaughter for all involved).
Solo ops had an added element of danger, as Simon knew all too well. His run in with the Licker and Crimson head earlier had proven as much. As far as he could tell, solo agents were becoming popular, many of them fancying themselves as the next Leon Kennedy or Chris Redfield. Though Simon had never met either in person he'd read all of their reports; they were essentially required reading for the BSAA and Spartoi. The days of action heroes and the like were over; the new outbreak had begun, and a solo operative could only accomplish so much. Simon was learning this lesson all over again out here; his intended departure date seemed that much farther away with everything in this city arrayed against him.
Glancing back down, Simon was surprised to see his assailant standing at the base of the fire escape, hands up. So he'd intimidated this kid into surrendering; a barrage of .308 rounds were sure to do that to a civilian, especially seeing as they had the power to punch through an engine block with contemptuous ease. Turning to Ava, Simon gestured for her to look over the parapet.
"Looks like the last one's out in the open. I'll go down and search him; watch my back. I wouldn't put it past the TSTU to put a kid in the open for an ambush"
Grabbing onto the fire escape, Simon climbed down slowly, before landing at the bottom and approaching slowly.
"I've no intent to harm you, but if you don't drop to the ground and surrender your weapons to me now, I'll be forced to incapacitate you" Simon spoke slowly. His command of the English language wasn't all that great, and he realized how clipped and forced his diction sounded. It was obvious immediately that he was a foreigner, but still, he had no intention of spilling sentient human blood today. His message was pretty simple and easily understandable, at least, to him. He held his hands up, palms facing the kid, keeping his rifle slung and on safe, a nonthreatening gesture that would hopefully defuse any potential hostilities. He was a stranger in a strange land, and he didn't want to execute some punk if he didn't have to.

Avalon watched as Avitus tried to reason with the kid. It was nice to see someone else do the work that she should be doing, but no matter. This gave her more time to search for her scattered equipment. Now on the street she could actually look around the rubble in the area for the remains of her original weapons, hoping they didnt get damaged by that explosion.
Suddenly while on her search as Avitus took care of the kid a scratchy noise came from her headset radio. Though still busted enough where Avalon couldnt make good contact with others she could still pick up some sort of message from whomever was trying to reach her.
"Do ... down ... ambush." That was all that was heard by Avalon from the message. It was so scratchy from the static and such that she could barely make that out. Though after repeating what she thought she heard several times Avalon came to a conclusion.
"Avitus! Its a Trap!" Avalon yelled fearing for his life, and trying to avoid a terrible conclusion.
Even if that wasnt true it would hurt to be onguard. Obviously the message was sent to her to warn off a drastic scenario. Now it was only a matter of seconds to find out what will happen, and where the person whom sent said message is hiding.

(Could have sworn you said he fired a 40mm. Guess that’s my mistake.)
Richard, after sending the message, moved out again. This time, he went to the truck. He didn’t know if he was unnoticed or not, but he knew he didn’t need to be. He had nothing to hide. In fact, he was trying to link up with Eva to share intel, find out what she was doing here. Even if they went their separate ways, he knew they could help each other with what they knew.
He got to the back of the truck and pressed his right shoulder against it, spinning out and scanning the area behind it. Nothing. He turned around and scanned buildings for snipers. Nothing again.
“Dammit…” He muttered in Russian. They were bigger pricks than he thought. Leaving a civilian, not to ambush them, but as a minor distraction. He peeked out of the cover of the truck for a moment, watching the man he had noticed detain the civilian. From this angle, he recognized him… He’d seen him, earlier, at the Gigante fight. Helping him for a moment, before he had hightailed it. Maybe this kid had just gotten caught and had been held hostage. Maybe he was working with them. He didn’t know, but maybe they might.
He got on his radio again, not aware that it sent broken signals to the other STARS agent. He hadn’t heard the yelling from Ava, didn’t know the frenzy he may have put her in. Not a bad thing, putting her on guard just in case he missed something.
“False alarm. No ambush here, just dis… decoy.” He said, stumbling on the word before replacing it with one that was easier to say.
