"Good, I've been wanting answers for hours," the man said stepping in front the imposter. "Do you recognize me?"
Li took a look at him and grunted. "You're Ian Gahn," he said before looking over at the woman. "And that's Grace Moreau," he told them, politely.
Gahn took a harsher tone. "Now that's a problem because I don't recognize you."
"I'm not surprised."
"Were you suprised when I shot her?"
Li instantly shot him a glare. "Not really, but I didn't care much for your actions," he said.
"And I'm supposed to care about what you care about? Don't take me for a fool, it wasn't part of the plan for her to get shot, just like it wasn't part of the plan for you to get captured. Or am I going to walk outside and find the building surrounded by snipers?" Gahn said, getting in close.
"I don't really give a damn what you care or don't care about, Mr. Gahn and I'm not going to be telling you anything."
"Thats not gonna be your choice." Mr. Gahn slammed his fist across Li's face.
The Asian man made another painful grunt before spitting out some blood. Still, he remained silent.
"You're going to tell me who you work for. You're going to tell me everything. There's no ifs..." A right cross. "...ands..." An uppercut. "... or buts." A headbutt.

Grace had immediately intervened, laying a hand on Mr. Gahn's shoulder. "Calm down, you might knock him unconscious, then we won't know anything for another few hours," she said.
"I know what I'm doing. If I wanted him unconscious... well we've already been down that road."
Grace sighed heavily and looked down at Mr. Li. He was suprisingly taking the blows well. Most men who would be bobbing their heads, teeter-tottering in and out of unconsciousness. This man, however, was just looking up at them without any fear evident in his eyes.
"Tell us about Crowley, Mr. Li," she said, calmly.
Li licked his bleeding lips and spat out again. He hadn't said a word and didn't express any emotion when she'd said the name. She knew better though.
"I know your employer is named Crowley and I know that you were chasing down Anna McGraw's daughter, can you tell us why?" she asked.
Li, made eye contact with her and contemplated what to do next. "I'm relieved atleast one of you are civilized. Politeness goes a long way." he said, changing the subject.
"And cockiness gets you killed, stop wasting our time and answer the woman's questions!" Mr. Gahn shouted, and slamming his fist into the man's gut.
Li coughed out loud, trying his best to ignore the stinging in his abdomen. "Urgh...This...isn't the way assassin's behave. You're...behaving like some...underpaid...mercenary, Mr.Gahn."

Mr. Gahn grabbed the top of Li's head and pulled it back. "I'm sorry, I never had any proper interrogation training. I've learned how to break necks, snap fingers, and all other manner of nastiness, but when it comes to getting information, I'm not that professional." He pulled the man's head back far enough that his chair fell over. Mr. Gahn proceeded to put his boot on the man's chest.
"So I'm sorry if I'm acting like an underpaid mercenary."
"Well thank you for apologizing. I accept," he responded, looking up at Mr.Gahn.
"What a clever idiot..." Mr. Gahn gasped out before smashing his foot down on Li's ribs. The merc clenched his teeth tightly together and let out a short hiss.

"Mr. Li, we know you work for Tricell. We know your employers name and her goal, we just want to know why she wanted her hands on a little girl," Grace suddenly said.
"We want to stop them from abducting what little children we have left in the ruins of society," she told him.
Li sighed again. "She's immune."
Grace furrowed her brows. "Immune...So they're abducting immune people around the globe. For what? To manufacture a cure?" she asked, almost doubtfully. "No, that's not their way..." she mentioned, more to herself than to Li.
"They're not looking for a cure. They're looking for test subjects. I'm sure you've already learned atleast a bit about the Advanced Humans, hm?" Li said.
Grace tilted her head to the side, squinting an eye at him. "Augmented humans? Why would they--"
"No, no, they're bioweapons. They were mostly immune human beings slipped different strains of the virus'. The immune subject gain super human abilities. Enhanced strength, speed, perception, ec cetera. They're Tricell weapons," he explained.
Grace frowned and looked down for a moment. "So the German from Trinity?"
"Advanced Human."

"So you kidnap kids and turn them into monsters to do Tricell's bidding," Mr. Gahn said, folding his arms. "Maybe you should just stay on the floor where you belong."
Li looked over at him and scoffed. "We don't take the kid cases. We usually go for the adults. We're not complete monsters...hell, I doubt my boss would have even turned the little girl over. It was just a scare tactic," he said, cooly. "I'm sure you two know about the rivalry between Crowley and McGraw already, hm?"
"Yeah, those two get into a p*ss fight and your boss sacks two bases full of innocent civilians. Your doubts are bullsh*t, plenty of kids were at Trinity, and they were at the SPD. Now I bet plenty of them are dead or out in this godforsaken world."
"We didn't attack Trinity, if that's what you're implying," Li told him. "Those idiots were just a couple of goons who worship Umbrella."
"You still attacked the police station. And if those two goons didn't do what they did, you would've attacked Trinity. Same situation, same thing. Innocents died on your boss' orders and you expect me to believe that she wasn't going to turn Aryn over to her employers?"
Li had finally began to get red in the face, figuratively speaking. "Listen to me, you babbling idiot! If it weren't for Crowley, that entire f*cking station would have been destroyed!"
"It was destroyed in case you haven't noticed, because Crowley has a beef with one of the B.S.A.A.'s top agents!" Mr. Gahn shouted, sounding angry and annoyed.
"Yes, it was because of old scars but everyone inside of that station would have been killed. The children and a majority of the civilians lived because Crowley had set Russo and the Captain up to funnel them into the basement to escape prior to the attack. The entire SPD was going to be demolished with the civvies inside by two giant BOWs that could easily smash you under it's foot," he said.
"You agents were there to grab Aryn, not help anyone. And two giant BOWs? They'd be seen a mile away, civilians would've escaped in time with our spotters and defensive grid. Your commander, killed them, and left you for dead if I might add."
Li had suddenly cracked a smile. "You and everyone else would have died. The sealed BOWs were positioned in two different areas of Stoneville. You wouldn't have had time to escape. Crowley went against orders and brought Bandersnatches to thin out the BSAA defenses. I'd call that mercy. As for leaving me to die, I doubt that. She's probably off getting into a fight with McGraw," he explained.
"And when I get out of here, I'm sure she's bound to show up," he added.

Grace had listened to Li and Ian discuss the SPD Tragedy in full detail. From the sudden defensive stand Li had taken when Crowley was brought up again, she believed him. She whole-heartedly believed everything he said. The problem was, she wasn't sure whether or not Crowley actually did all of those things or just told him she did. It'd be a very effective Xanatos Gambit.
"And if she doesn't?" Grace piped in. "What if she just told you all of what you've told us to keep you quiet? If she's as clever as her reputation presents her, what if you were just a pawn? An elaborate tale to keep your mouth shut," she said aloud.
Li threw her a glare. "You don't know her like I do," he said.
"No, I don't....but you know her better than anyone. What if she just made it all up to keep you quiet and safe? If she cares about you as much as you claim she does, then making you think she 'showed mercy' on all of those people will keep her out of the fire and keep you from getting killed by someone like us," she explained.
"You're...wrong..." he trailed off. "She's a good person...I know it..."

"I think I'll leave you to your thoughts," Mr. Gahn said walking out of the cubicle for a spell. He'd cracked, his emotional attachment to his boss wasn't good for him. Bet it was fine for her though, having someone so unabashedly loyal and trustworthy.
For all of Li's talk, he couldn't trust most of it. The superhuman projects, the kidnappings, that isn't something you'd lie about. But sparing civilians while simultaneously sending into BOWs to kill them? This whole thing stank of betrayal, and he knew a thing or two about betrayal.
Let him think about it for a bit. The suspicions will take root and start to grow. Once they're grown, they'll stick, like weeds. She'll never have his loyalty again.
If he could just give them their rendevous point, Crowley and her mercs would be done for.

Grace had inevitably decided to join Ian, leaving Li to his own screaming thoughts. When she'd appeared infront of him, she'd crossed her arms and looked down, guilty. She knew what he was feeling and what he was going through right now, she'd been in Li's place before.
"He's not going to tell us any more...."* she said, lowly.
"What makes you say that?"
"He loves her. He's very dedicated to her and I know what the outcome of this is going to lead to."
"You think he's going to go to her, ask her if what we said was true, and then believe her every word."
"I think he's going to go to her and forget everything we've said about her. Just move on, follow her to the ends of the Earth. Like I did."
"Grace..."

Ian backed away from Grace, and turned to enter the cubicle they stored Li in.
"He's gone," he murmured. When Grace came back in, she'd looked around at the fallen chair and broken ropes strewn about in his place.
"Can't say I'm suprised," she responded.
"We wait two minutes. Then we follow him. He'll lead us to her. Then we find out what really happened at the SPD."

[Roger and Crowley have entered the Sisco Telecom]
When the two arrived at the telecom station, Crowley had felt a surging ache in her shoulder. It also felt warm and wet. Kicking the door to the station open, she'd stomped into the reception office, pointing her glock with her good and holding her other arm up as if it were in a sling.
From the looks of things, it was relatively deserted save for the infected corpses that were sprawled around the cheap carpeting. Lowering her aim, she'd gripped at her shoulder again and motioned for Roger to join her.
"It's clear...what are you looking at?" she asked.

"There's this car out front that's near-totaled. The hood's popped, one of the wheels is missing and there's tire tracks leading to where it is. Doesn't seem like any sane man would try to drive a car after it's been screwed up so much," he told her as he entered the building.
"I also had to get your painkillers and some food. I also brought the med bag from the house we hit."
Allison looked from here back to the inside of the reception office. "Right, alright...thank you," she said, removing her jacket undoing her harness.
"Uh, what are you...?"
"I have to see my stitches, all of this sh*t is in my way," she went on, removing her shirt.
"Uhhhh...." Roger groaned out, feeling awkward and at a loss for words. Fortunately, she had a black undershirt beneath it. When the gauze was in his sight, he could see blood beginning to soak through it. "What happened?" he asked moving over to her and popping some pills out.

Crowley had pulled at the edges of the large bandage and gently peeled it back to expose a couple of broken stitches. She'd grimaced and quickly covered it up again. "I had hit someone with my elbow back out in River Circle...I guess it busted a few stitches....ah...my entire arm is aching," she said.
"Well just take your painkillers and tell me what to do," Roger said laying the medical supplies out after handing her the medication.
Crowley grabbed at the pills and crunched them between her teeth. After swallowing them, she'd grabbed at the cup of fruit cocktail he'd brought with him. Ripping the plastic lid off, she started scarfing it down.
"Mm...I don't think I'll need to re-stitch it. It's mostly stitched still, I just need to clean it up and apply pressure to it before I bandage it up," she began. "When I bandage it, I need you to apply pressure to the fresh gauze while I tape it. Can you do that for me, please?" she asked, politely.

"Yeah, yeah, I can do that," Roger said handing her the supplies she'd need. She'd taken the antiseptic and went on to cleaning around the stitches, picking up any blood around it. Grabbing at a large strip of gauze she'd handed it to him and then grabbed onto the medical tape. After a short while, she'd been properly bandaged up.
"Thanks," she said, hopping off the reception desk and grabbing at her things.
"Don't mention it. Feel better?" he asked honestly.
"A little...I'm just a little concerned with the lack of infected. Have you noticed that we haven't seen any since you rescued me?" she asked, re-dressing.
"I'd just consider us lucky. Well, sort of. I guess... I mean those guys in the trucks were probably keeping their turf clear of any infected. Forest is dense and wouldn't have many in the first place. As for these guys," he pointed at the shot up zombies laying about, "We were lucky enough to find a place that'd been cleared out."

Allison had slipped her jacket back on and sighed, dropping down into a seat nearby. She'd sunk in it and grasped at her head, loose hair falling in her face. She felt exhausted and she still had to make a trip to the rendevous point and then a long trip to Vegas. Unless...
"Roger, I know it's a little early to ask, but do you trust me?" she asked him.
"What? I mean, yeah, of course I trust you. Why?" he asked, a little surprised at her question. She looked up from her hands, to him.
"We might not have to drive all the way to Vegas. I have some connections from another merc group I've known for years. I could possibly catch us a plane there and lock up your bike somewhere safe until we come back," she explained.
"Heh, it'd save me a ton on gas..." Roger joked while grabbing himself a fruit cup.
"I know you were only with me to help me make it to Vegas on your bike, but I'd appreciate the company on the plane and through Sin City," she said.
"Well I was with you to make sure you got better. You're kind of injury prone," he said sloshing his watery oranges about in it's cup.
She'd rubbed at the back of her neck, awkwardly and looked away for a moment. "I'm usually not, that'd be my old rival and her many chopper crashes...this was really the only real time I'd ever been in peril," she said, visibly nervous.
"Anyway, I'd just...I need the company," she told him, truthfully.
Roger saw Allison's expression and smiled a bit at her. "Sure I'll go."
She'd finally made eye contact with him and returned the smile. She was honestly relieved to hear him accept. Something about Roger had made her feel, well, cared about. Even if he treated everyone else the same, it still felt sincere. Comforting. Two days together had felt like a week with all that's happened and she had trusted him enough to want him accompanying her.
"Thank you...Roger..."

"It's alright," Roger told her. After an awkward pause he said, "Well, I guess we should get moving, find that cache and get out of the forest 'fore we get jumped again.
"Uh, right, good idea," she responded, awkwardly, getting up from her chair. "It's not too far from here."
"Great, this cache, it wouldn't happen to have a hotplate though, cuz these..." Roger motioned at the fruit cups. "...they're not really all that great."
Allison chuckled a little, moving out of the door. "There's a microwave," she mentioned.
"Great, we'll have us some noodle dinner. What flavor'd you like? Chicken? Beef? Pork?"
"Always been partial to Chicken. Regular, Roast or Creamy."
"I think I have some creamy, guess most people are more into regular."
