Crowley had stood beside Griffin, arms folded when he'd been announcing the ration plan. She knew this wasn't going to fair well, these residence were hesitant to help them, she didn't blame them, but she certainly didn't sympathize, either. As expect, as if on cue, two men stood up from the crowd of Inn residents, barking and yelling about how they weren't going to do that.
"You already have everything from the comfort of our rooms! Why do you need to take our food too?!"
"My family needs to be able to eat, they're more important than everyone else!"
"How do we know we can trust you?! You're Umbrella! Umbrella did this to us!"
Once more, Crowley felt agitated. Her eyes twitched slightly and her head had ached, these people were not worth saving and she knew it. She'd glanced into the room where the child had been resting, gently closing the door to withing three inches of the door frame, so as to not bother her.
"Quiet!" she hissed, walking out into the middle of the hall, her hands grasping onto her SMG. She'd looked at the frightened residents through glaring eyes. The whispering and yelling amongst them had finally been silenced. "Regardless of whether or not you bastards accept it, you're all going to die with that mentality. You selfish, greedy, a*sholes aren't going to last a f*cking day without my partner and myself," she began, looking onto the faces of the people.
She'd waited for someone to even try to interrupt her, but they never did. "We need to ration all the food that you have so that you can last the next few days up until help arrives. There is absolutely no way to escape this building now, we're trapped. Even if you are just thinking about your family, then you're doing a p*ss job of it, they'll still go hungry if not properly rationed. I suggest you listen to my partner here, otherwise you're not going to make it."
Before long, there'd been a family of five wandering through the crowds with arms full cans and water they'd brought incase of emergency. The man of the family laid them down infront of Griffin and Crowley, his wife and three children following suit.
Crowley nodded at them. "Thank you," she told them.

For the next several hours, Griffin and Crowley had both been working hard alongside the civilians. Rationing out food was something that he did back in the day, for him and his brothers, but when it was for people he didnt knew it did seem a little out of skin for him. Some of these people didnt care less, some were on the boat, but most all, every single one of them were scared. Afraid for their lives, and where the lives were going. Griffin knew deep down inside that help wasnt coming, they were all the help these people were going to get. The infection in this city has already gotten out of hand, and for all he knew, it was spreading outside of the city. He just didnt have the intel.
But something he did know that it was only a matter of time before the city was quarantined completely, and then the operation of Umbrella would be underway, if it already hasnt. Before starting in with the UBCS, Griffin had been enrolled with the USS, but backed out when things started to turn ugly. He resumed his roll in the UBCS without any of his team knowing, and the secrets to the fate of this city were well known by some. It was too late to stop it, the only thing left to do was sit back, do whatever he could to help, and watch the fireworks.
Without anybody even noticing, he grabbed a couple of extra cans and a jug of juice, and took them into the abandoned room that he now called his own. Inside, he closed over the door, and took off his vest with all of his gear, laying them beside the couch. But whats when he noticed that Reylin wasnt there. He heard the faint sound of whimpering coming from the bedroom on the other side of the door. Inside, she was sitting on the bed. Griffin didnt know exactly what to say to the crying girl, but that she would be safe. "My partner and... I wont let anything happen to you." Leaving the jug of juice on the bed next to her, and the two cans of food, Griffin stood there listening to her. She sprung up, and threw her arms around his waist, crying into his stomach. He just didnt know what to do.

Crowley had been patrolling the halls and sighed, the Inn residents from this floor and the floor above had been safe from any harm for almost 24 hours. It was the third night since Raccoon had gone to hell, she was still alive, Griffin was still alive, these people were still alive, but for how long? She normally hadn't been the type to dwell on the possibility of death, but when you do and you're level headed about it, it motivates you to survive.
She'd been making her way back down the hall when she'd noticed Griffin taking some cans and a jug of juice into the room he'd adopted. She was positive it was probably for the little girl. She'd wandered on over, ready to knock on the door to see if she had been alright when she heard crying coming from inside, the little girls and then Griffin's voice saying they would protect her.
She decided it was best to let the man have his moment with their new little problem and walked on back down the hall once more. It wasn't for about another hour, nightfall had once again overtaken them, that there'd been a loud explosion that gently shook the floors and halls of the Inn. Doors began to swing open, various heads poking out, voices screeching and chiming with inquisition.
Crowley stumbled a little from the quake and quickly began running toward the closest window that overlooked the courtyard. She'd growled, quickly realizing there was no real way to see anything out infront. That explosion, however, had came from within the walls.
"Griffin! Did you feel that? The hell was it?" Crowley asked. Before she could get his response, one of the people had quickly pointed out the smell of smoke and burnt wood. The UBCS soldier looked back at the barricade to see the inkling of thick, black, smog rising through the cracks of the furniture barricade.
Immediately afterwards a loud screech had sounded through the walls and the doors began to quake and thump, sounds of clicking and lashing could be heard from the other side.
"Everyone get up to the rooftop, go on! Go!" Crowley ordered, waving her arm at the staircase.

Finally, the kid bad been asleep again, passed out from the crying. He was never a father, and quite frankly, never wanted to be one. But this wasnt the first time he had ever taken care of a child, and certainly under some intense situations. At the same time, everytime he was near children, he got a little skeptical, uneasy. Back in his country, he had been forced to kill innocent children, for both sorts of reasons. Regardless of the reason, it was always something that stuck with him, knowing exactly what you were capable of. Maybe thats why he felt the need to protect the little girl, like it was his way of trying to set his morals straight once again.
When the tremble of the floor started and stopped, Griffin stood up from the chair in the bedroom, and ran into the living room. Grabbing his vest and gear, he moved into the hallway in a matter of seconds, trying to find out what was going on. It sounded like a man made explosion, but if it was any tactical it wouldnt have been as large. Shellshock took over, and his first though was maybe it had been the start of retaliation against the infected downstairs by some heroic and stupid civilians. But when the barricade started to break from the opposite side, he didnt care what was happening on the other side, just that they needed to get to the roof.
Cooperation from the people faded away, him and Crowley knew that there wasnt anything they could do. All in all, he didnt care what happened to them at this point, because they werent going to learn how to survive over night unless they were on those streets first hand. Most of them still dont even know whats happening around the city, just that they were safe, a little more emphesis on 'were'. Running back into the apartment room, Griffin strapped his SMG to his back, and then lifted Reylin from the bed, getting her to her feet. She groggily questioned what as going on, but he didnt know how to answer. "Just come with me, were going onto the roof, its not safe here."
Between the civilians all rushing past one another to the rooftop, and the loud noises coming from the barricades on both ends of the hallway, Griffin caught sight of Crowley and kept up with her. The little girl tried her best to keep up, relish in all of the panic, but quickly fell behind. Pushing away bodies, Griffin got back to her, and than put her on his back again, than moved through the crowds. "Crowley, we dont have much choice. Let these people do what they want, and lets get ourselves out of here, now. Weve countered the threat long enough, we have to save our own asses before its too late." Griffin didnt want to put everything on his partner, but was already instructing the people. She seemed to have a way with them, and if she had that, she also had a way around them. Right now, they needed to get around them, and get to the rooftop before it gets too crazy up there.

The entire crowd of third floor residents had one more panicked as they clamoured their way upstairs, pushing and shoving one another. Griffin had been ready to abandon them and made it known to Crowley that this was his decision for the both of them and the little girl. The woman ripped her balaclava from her belt and pulled it over her face, she'd had a bandana in her vest pocket that she'd pulled out, handing it to Griffin. "Here, use this on the kid to shiled her from the smoke," she told him.
With that, she had lifted her SMG up and looked over at Arc, they'd be trampled if they tried to push through. Without so much as a warning, she began to gun down some of the men and women that were blocking their way up. Part of her felt a little pang of guilt but her instincts had more than made up for it when she told herself that in the end, this was survival.
More people had began to scream and spread apart, allowing the UBCS soldiers and the little girl run through to the fourth floor. The civilians up there had already been upto the roof by now.
"Do you still have your climbing gear? We can probably scale off the side of the hotel until we find the fire escape landing on the rear wing of the hotel," she said, glancing over at Arc and the child.

After both him and the little girl had their masks on, Griffin followed Crowley through the hallway. The woman had fired into the crowd, speeding up the movement, and cleared the way. Nobody had been taking anything with them, but it wasnt the time to worry about food and supplies from these rooms. The small amount of ammunition on his own belt, and mixed with what Crowley had, would be enough for them to scavenge for more food. It was a little strange how this had been going through his head as they pressed forward, usually survival instinct wouldnt kick in this early. He wasnt hungry, but the thought of securing food bothered him. Not only were the dangers of this infection reaching the outside of the city, but the food inside the walls would be gone soon enough.
"Yeah, I have it. Dont have a safety harness, though..." Less talk, more thinking, he could manage getting them down onto the street level. There hadnt been a backup plan for this sort of situation. There was no good solution, or even a method or strategy yet. If it breaks out, the world as they knew it out be lost. If it was contained, they were dead for certain, the city would be toast. The ending was too far away as it was, but progress wouldnt be stopped, this was just the tip of the iceburg.
Getting to the rooftop, Griffin seen all of the people trying to climb down themselves, like movie heroes or something. Others had been risking a jump over to the next building rooftop. He didnt know if people were actually making it, but without a gun, they would be dead on the streets either way. Reylin was on her feet now, and keeping close, and she didnt seem scared anymore. The large rooftop was big enough to hold nearly everybody, but even if they could call in an extraction chopper, there was no way they could get everybody out in one trip. Not even two, or three. People would probably floor the chopper, and end up dragging it down or something, hes seen it before in Brazil.
Quickly, Griffin got out his rope, and attached it onto a smoke stack near one of the corners of the building, making sure it was tightly in place before tossing it over the side. It wasnt long enough to hit the ground, but the second floor balcony would due for now. "Okay, you first, than ill take the girl on my back. Use your gloves, dont rush the process. If you fall, I cant help you." People had already started to scream at this point, and the rooftop doors burst open. The infected were up on the roof now, and they were singed from the fire. Keeping Reylin looking at the city scape, Griffin waited for his partner to get at least two thirds of the way down before starting his own ascent.

Things had gone completely out of control with the hotel residents attempting to climb down, roof hop, you know name it, they tried it. At one point she watched a man attempting the very thing Griffin was planning on...climbing down with his kid on his back...that placed an unfortunate event into motion. The man stumbled, slipped off the ledge and he and his child went tumbling downward. Crowley reached both hands out a little too late. It wasn't until then she realized that this entire scenario had been a back breaker.
Griffin finally got the cord secured around a smoke stack, leaving the other end hanging off the side of the builfing. From there, she could make out the second floor fire escape landing, the one that reached third and foruth floors had apparently collapsed recently. She'd took grip of the rope and nodded at Griffin a little.
"Alright, I'll get down quickly as possible, becareful, Griffin, these people will do anything to survive," she warned him. She knew he knew that already, it was obvious, but another warning couldn't hurt. Descending the rope, she had her calves crossed aroung it and her gloved hands gripping it tightly, cursing herself for forgetting her gear before entering the city limits prior.
Regardless, on her way down, she could hear more screaming coming from atop of the roof but she wasn't sure what was going on, probably the infected...
When she reached the landing, she'd looked up at the pair up above. "Let's go!" she told him, waving an arm. She'd suddenly felt the landing shake and rattle. She'd stumbled slightly but managed to grab onto the railing to keep balance....that is until the railing snapped and she'd careened over it.
"Argh!" she grunted, slamming her back into the lower and final landing. Her back collided hard into the metal grate and the world went temporarily blank. She'd groaned and rolled over onto her side, squeezing her fingers into her eyes. Around her, she'd caught the attention of several undead...

As Crowley had been ascending the rope, Griffin kept his gun drawn in the group of people on the rooftop. That one man with the darker hair had been standing in the thickness of the people, as if trying to plot his own course of action. It was a little disturbing, seeing how somebody could be so calm during all of this. The UBCS themselves had quite the head start on combating the infect, but this guy seemed unfazed by all the death any the walkers. Before thinking any further, Griffen heard the crumble below, and seen that his partner was now on the ground, taken out of action. There was no way he could get down in time with Reylin on his back, that attempt alone was pushing his limits. But he had to try, there was no other choice. Letting the little girl onto his back, Griffin spoke before grabbing onto the rope. "Hold on tightly to me, and keep your eyes closed."
Down below, the infected drew closer to the fallen Crowley, and showed no signs of slowing down. Most of them had been going slow, but some were keeping almost human like pace. Just then, gunshots were fired from a distance. A semi-automatic pistol was hitting the infected accurately enough to keep them back, and draw them toward the noise instead of Crowley. An unknown man lifted up the woman, shouldering her with one arm, and firing the remaining rounds with his other free hand into the infected. "Second chances only happen once... Remember this." Without saying anything else, or waiting for Crowley to respond, the man dropped his empty gun, and took off into an alleyway, drawing the nearby infected with him.
By the time Griffon got to the ground, he let go of Reylin, and than ran to his partners side. The infected had mostly been dead, nearly fifteen corpses lay on the ground. He didnt expect his partner to recover that quickly and take them out, but wasnt going to question it. "Nice shooting, lets get out of here. The Raccoon City Newbuilding isnt that far away. Theyre bound to have a working radio tower, we can contact Alpha on a broader frequency."
