This estate was at one time the original home to the starter of Circular River Community. It was the fanciest home at one time, and now it's a run down abandon estate. Carrying three acres of hedge maze over run with weeds and vines. A small fountain over grown at the front, and a large hedge fence that surrounds the estate with an iron gate. The building itself is three floors.

After a brutal hike down the mountain side, Amanda had made it to the bottom with Rey and Chrys. They hadnt even run into any of the infected, which was good, meaning they had their luck all set up. The girl was in lead, with Rey following her judgment on finding the quickest way into the city. In fear of running into that monster again, she deliberately took a different route, knowing they would hit darkness before even reaching the city at the pace they were going. They had no vehicle, no real GPS system, or even a map for starters. Moving on only a gut feeling and expirence, it lead them to the Circular River Community, which was located just outside of Raccoon City.
"Look at that place... Its huge!" Amanda stared at the large building off in the distance. Trespassing, or just passing by, would save them time instead of going through the community itself. But the clouds were moving in, and the darkness was approaching. They had to find a place to make camp, most of the day was spent walking, nightfall quickly approached. At winters close, this was normal for the mid-west, but bad for them. Inside of the community, there were several groups of infected, who didnt notice them coming from the woods. "They dont know were here. Lets keep it that way. Maybe we should hole up inside there, we can get an early start tomorrow morning. What do you think, Chrys? Place looks safe... Those zombies wouldnt be able to get through if we closed the gate off, too."

A sharp nod, "I reckon we have a winner," Chrys anwered, "Let's just not stray into the hedge maze, I'm a bit claustrophobic, plus I hate confusion," the tall hedges were extremely intimidating to her, "Keep low as we approach. They might be undead but their eyesight never seems to fail... might be a car or something we can use in the garage out back," they were all free of the woods, and as much as it was dangerous traveling by foot through the pines, it was now dangerous by foot in the open where they were most vulnerable. Chrys took one last glance in the distance of the zombies, "Okay, let's go," she ushered the two along to cross the grass opening.
Hands on hips. The gate was locked. Chrysil shook her head, "Give me a sec," she said as she started climbing the fence to the right of the gate, lifting one leg over and stabilizing herself on the hedge once she'd reached the top, 'It's not like I don't do this often anyways,' she dropped down and dusted herself off, "Okay," the Journalist looked down at what was probably the lockup, she tugged on the huge bolt to the side pulling it out and opening the gate up for the pair, "Doubt this place is gonna be technological if unlocking was that easy," she said while closing the gate and wedging the bolt back in place. Chrys turned around to face the mansion with Amanda and Rey, "Huh," she began, "Looks pretty grim with all those black rain clouds overhead," indeed the place appeared positively ghoulish, "C'mon," Chrys said with a warm smile and patting Rey on the shoulder while walking around the duo and heading towards the main entrance.
Both the inside and the outside of the mansion looked as if it had been plucked straight out of the Victorian era and slapped down into modern Middle Western 'now'. Chrys walked into the centre of the main hall, stopping to listen about inside the house, "Don't stray off too far, guys," she mentioned while looking up and the granduer of the place, "Bets on the power being out in this place, we should probably find a spot to make a fire if not a fireplace itself," Chrys looked off down one wing of the building, "Food too, although god knows where the kitchen is in this place,"

The door made a loud bang upon closing, nothing was getting inside, even if the infected could climb the gate. Looking around at the huge mass of area, Amanda looked around, seeing rays of moonlight shine through onto the floor. Their foot steps made a tink sound everytime they walked, pattering loudly. But Amanda stopped when she saw a large painting of a man hanging infront of the stair case. "What is this?" Amanda scanned the painting, it looked to be over 50 years old, at least. Looking back at Chrys who was just as amazed as she was, Amanda sparked when she saw another large door on the western side. Exploring this place was not only interesting, but they were completely safe. They would be able to hear the sound of infected coming from even across the whole room.
"Im going in, you and Rey should check the east side. Im sure if you called to me, I could hear you well enough, the echo in the place is insane!" Amanda opened up the door, aiming her gun around the new room. It looked to be a dining hall. The sound of a ticking clock echoed about, keeping a steady pattern. Tick, tock. But the place was nearly pitch black, she couldnt see very well, only using the moonlight that shown through the clouds above the mansion skylight. But Amanda stopped when she heard a door creek beside her, somebody was there. Aiming the dim flashlight toward the open crack of the door, Amanda pointed the gun as well, and opened it up the rest of the way. There was nothing but a rickety wooden frame.

"Wait...!" Chrys was about to protest on Amanda's idea of splitting up, holding up one panicked hand; then she noticed she was probably overreacting seeing Amanda draw her pistol and head into the next room, "Oh, I suppose so... c'mon Rey," giving up, the two moved across the grand hall to the East wing; The glaring eyes of the portrait burning into her back. The doors seemed to be huge, heavy pine; made directly from the wood available in the forest surrounding the Circular River Community. Chrysil's prediction that it lead into another grand room were shot when a long, dark, dank, screepy, unnerving hallway stood in front of her, "Oh great," she notioned, "I can't see a damn thing..." she stepped out of the doorway to let light shine through, then grabbed one of the dressers and tugged them back to the door she'd just come through propping it open. This way at least a little light would make it through; there were no skylights or windows or nothing, "Stay really close to me, Rey,"
Doors lined both sides of the hall; Chrys used her logic of deduction to detirmine that they would just be small rooms with no other doors leading away from them. So the plan was to make it as far down the hall as possible without freaking out. The path hooked off to the left, Chrys slowly nudged around the corner keeping as collected as possible; as assumed things became even darker, she just hoped there'd be light through the next door. Hand to the handle, Chrys pushed her way into what couldn't be none other than the living.
At that exact moment a shot of thunder pierced their ears and lightning crawled across the sky outside the windows. Chrys gave a little yelp from the coincidence of the timing, hand to chest trying to slow her heart rate down, "S'okay... gees," shaking her head. Moving further into the room, there were three couches all formed in a square with gaps at their corners; the untaken face of the square was left to the fireplace in the wall, "Huh, looks like we found the spot..." to boot the place must have been left in pretty good condition before it was abandoned, firewood sat in a basket besides the fire with all the other appropriate necessities, "...I'll get this started once we get settled down, 'til we get back with Amanda I suppose we can just check out the rest of this area. No upstairs though, as far as I'm concerned everything we need'll be down here, we can shut off these doors when we bunk down for the night," Chrysil approached the tall as all hell windows, curtains sat beside either one. She wouldn't close them now, they need all the light they could get from outside; but once the fire got started she shut them off to not give any signals. The smoke would likely be camouflaged with the dark sky, so there was no worry for that until morning.
The two of them started trying all of the doors between adjacent connecting rooms around the living room; a couple of them were linen cubpoards, some lead off into single bedrooms, another was a bathroom which was definitely going to be a handy thing for the three of them. One door off into one corner of the room lead to another hallway; not quite as dark as the last due to the windows along the North wall, but contained just as much of a threatening look. Chrys had started to become intimidated by the place, turning to Rey, "Let's try not to go any further than we need," and closed the door. The remaining door at the other side of the room had about five stairs leading down; wind could be heard making its way inside with the whistling sound; the room was small and unprotected, "A mudroom..." Chrysil said rather surprised, "I haven't seen one of these in years, the place must be really old," she peeked out of one of the small windows to see the driveway from behind the house leading in, "We could probably leave out this way in the morning and grab a car," so their exit was planned fairly well, "I'll just block off this door..." Chrys grabbed a hardwood chair and jammed it under the handle of the door leading outside from the mudroom, dusting her hands off and placing them on her hips, "There. Nice one," proud of herself, and backed out of the mudroom, "Hey Rey, help me look for some blankets or something we can use to sleep with on the couches," Chrys asked pointing over to the linen cupboards as she moved towards them.

"Right, okay." Rey nodded, and then walked over to the makeshift barricade, testing it out for herself just to sure. It wasn't that she didn't have faith in Chrys, she would just rather be one hundred percent. The girl walked around the living rooms back area, opening up closets and carving shelves for a blankets. A lot of the things were old and dusty, but still remained in tact. Grabbing two large ones from a linnin closet, Rey shook the off on the floor, getting all the dust and god knows what else off of them. Another strike of light pulsed through the room, booming and making Rey jump in her shoes. "F*uck me! I dint think ill be sleeping anytime soon, regardless with that noise..."
Amanda heard the lighting strike a second time as she searched the dining hall for anything they could use. After finding nothing but utensils and old books, she made her way through the next door, leading into a moonlit hallway. Holding her gun forward, she shuffled her feet across the carpet, walking toward the window. The trees outside cast a shadow over her face, but thats when she heard another strike of lightning, and caught a glimpse of an infected shambling toward her from around the corner. Amanda didn't fire, she couldn't get a clear shot in the moonlight, so she just ran back into the dining room, locking the door behind her. Running across the floor, she barged into the main hall, locking it as well with a latch.
Taking the time to realize that this place wasn't as safe as they thought it would, things got worse. A red sheen reflected on the floor, it was blood. Amanda hadn't seen it when they entered, but it looked fresh. Crouching down, she put her finger through it, feeling the texture, and questioning whether it came from a zombie or not. "Hope this isn't Chrys' blood..." Amanda raised her gun when she heard a bang coming from the dining room, that one zombie couldn't get through. But she had to meet up with Rey and Chrys, and warn them that this place could be potentially crawling with them.

Seaching about the living room had come up clean with blankets that all the girls could use, no pillows had been discovered but simply folding up extra blankets provided the head rest they would all need. Chrysil parked on one of the arm rests of the lounges, content; she was about to speak to Rey when the crackling thunder rang out overhead.
It was mortifying being in an almost completely dark room and then having it filled with blinding light.
Chrys wasn't sure whether she had screamed or not from how loud the thunder had been. It was a starter gun for the rain though which came in hard and fast beating away at the windows of the living room. A second later, the double tap of the thunder reeled in just as loud, if not more than the hit before. Chrysil moved over to the windows, keeping to one side, "Far out... the storm's right above us," it was a minor response to Rey's outcry, Chrys knew how she felt; in all likeliness the girl was probably never taught how to deal with thunder, "The clouds are just hovering there; I have no idea when it'll pass. If it's about to thunder, we won't know about it until we hear it," one thing Chrys enjoyed about thunder storms was being able to predict how long it would take for the sound to follow the light. In this instance though it was simply Flash/Bang.
"Okay," Chrys started, "Keep away from the windows, I'll close the curtains and get this fire started so we have some light," she was keen to get the place warm and appealing for them, yanking the huge curtains to the centre. Light disappeared for a while until she flicked on a match to see what she was doing. Straight up: news paper, kindling, firestarters and chuck the match in. It didn't take long for the inferno to get started, and before she knew it Chrys was throwing a big block of wood on. Turning to look at how well the room was illuminated, "There, feels more cosy alrea-" another lightning strike cut her sentence short. It almost unlocked the bag for concern. Chrys had taken her time to make the fire, and she hoped that Amanda would have returned sooner rather than later.
Another minute was all Chrys needed; it felt much longer than what it was made out to be, "Hang on..." none of them had set how or when they were going to regroup, "Bloody hell. Umm... we need to go back to the main hall. Amanda didn't say a thing on where we'd meet up and this storms got me worried," not just that, but the whole vibe of the place. Chrys grabbed the box of matches, 'These'll com in handy,' and went back through the door they'd came from. Her memory served well, at least one candle stood on each cabinet and dresser which she lit up. The L-shaped hall still had it's gloom, but now they could see where they were going.
Consideration towards asking Rey to stay in the lounge room had crossed Chrys' mind, it felt like the safest place in the house, but she went against it after concluding that the safest place in the house was when they were together; no argument there. The door from the main hall was still propped open and through the frame the Journalist made out a silhouette of someone kneeling down. Upon reentering the hall it became clear who it was, "Amanda!" Chrys exclaimed, rather delighted that she didn't have to go on a massive search of the place to find the girl, "What the heck?" the blood on the ground came into view, and then there was the banging on the door, "Oh... we aren't going to get any sleep tonight, are we?" suddenly very annoyed.

Rey had gotten pretty used to the thunder and lightning now, it didnt startle her as much. Especially being able to have a nice warm fire, it would hopefully heat up at least half of this mansion. But going with Chrys was the best idea, she was really hoping to find Amanda soon. Being split up from her made Rey feel a little more scared, she was like a sister to her. However, on another end, she knew that Amanda would be able to handle herself alone in this place. "Yeah, lets go find her... She cant be that far gone, can she?" She asked herself and Chrys rethorically. Seeing the blood on the floor as the candles lit up gave her an awful feeling inside. Pulling out her gun, she listened to Chrys, and then responded. "We have to find her, I dont think were alone in here..."
Amanda bolted up the stairs, maybe they took refuge on a higher level. But on any thought, it would be useful to get rid of any infected they seen. Feeling a bit like a coward at running from the infected in the hallway past the dining room, she knew that it was always better to run then to fight, its how she survived all this time before meeting Joey. Firing off gunshots would be a good way to attract the attention of Rey and Chrys as well, so this became like a clear idea to her. After climbing the steps, she opened up a door, and shut it carefully behind her. This particular hallway had quite a few windows, almost like it was meant to admire the view of the river. The moon gave her enough light for a clean headshot, if the opportunity arose.
Pacing down the hallway with her handgun drawn, Amanda turned the corner, peeking to see if there was anything around it. But as she carefully and silently did this, there was another loud boom. This one startled her a bit, but just because she was paying close attention to her surroundings and not on the thunder outside. But just as her heart was returning to normal rate, there was a crash in the window, as she nearly hurled herself across into the wall for support. "Sh*t!!!" She screamed. Seeing the rain now rush inside on the carpet, a black crow batted around the place. Amanda started to run for the nearest room, in fear the bird would attack her, but before long, it flew back out into the rain.

So long as the spilled blood wasn't Amanda's, Chrys would be happy; the banging from the dining room door was a little uncanny though considering it had been the direction Amanda had headed. Chrys pulled her pistol from the back of her pants and held it up, taking off the safety like Richard had taught her. The dull thumps against the hardwood door were out of time, like the person wasn't sure whether they wanted to really bang on it. Chrys had a feeling she knew what it was though, hand going to the doorknob. She opened the door, but only enough for it to rest against its latch; this way she didn't let the zombie in entirely and had time to back off to let it come at her. The zombie nudged the door open, disfigured head rearing. Chrys took Amanda's advice, aiming high for the head, and squeezing the trigger. The discharge from the pistol had been dangerously loud; it didn't echo but it sure as hell sounded as if she had shot it into a loud speaker. In the end, she didn't want to resort to making so much noise; but the zombie was dead, and that meant her and Rey were ensured safety.
"Huh..." Chrys started, a little remorseful, "Y'know, for firing a gun for the first time in my life, I really hoped that it would have been in a more memorable location," she flicked the safety back on and tucked the pistol down her pants, "Amanda couldn't have possibly gone this way if there are zombies... unless they somehow missed each other, which seems kinda difficult. She definitely went this way though," Chrys entered the dining room, a flash of lightening lit the room up, there was only one door at the other end of the room available; it swung about on its hinges leaving the impression that the zombie had made short work of it before. Moving down the needlessly long table, the only sounds being that of the pounding rain and heavy tick of the grandfather clock. Chrys stopped to check the time, "Quarter past seven, missed dinner," she grabbed one of the candle holders from the dining table and lit it up with a match giving them a torch to use in the darker areas of the house. Being a little bored, she decided to light up a couple of the other candles on the table aswell.
The next hall went both ways making things difficult, "Which way did Amanda head off to?" she chose to head further down to the west side of the house, feeling it would have been the same decision for Amanda aswell. Chrys' hand went out to stop Rey, about to say a word to take care but realized the body on the floor in front of them was headless and otherwise couldn't be infected. The head on the other hand was still in the same area, half a metre or so away from where it had been severed from the body, "Oh my god..." Chrys said under her breath, "That zombie couldn't have possibly done this?" she inspected the neck around a little closer, noting the teeth marks, "Give it a wide berth," she added while walking around the body. The next door lead to a short corridor turning off to the right, the only way the go in particular seemed to be up... one thing though caught Chrys' attention.
Crows, about half a dozen of them all sitting on open window slots at the very top of the walls. A flick of water came in now and again from the rain. Chrys held her breath, hoping they weren't infected, "Nice, and slowly, Rey," she said quietly as she motioned towards the steps and started to climb them as quietly as possible feeling several beady eyes looking down at her.

The room she had entered was another hallway, leading to another set of steps, this time downward. With the door closed, the rain was much quieter, and there were no windows in this portion of the area as far as she could see. Checking the door on right, it looked as if it was locked. Moving further, she moved around the railings, and found steel door that mustve lead somewhere outside onto a balcony or something, judging by the temperature of it and the sound of outside wind. But it too was locked, it looks as if she could only go downwards now. It was a strangely built mansion, but then again, it wasnt built to her liking.
Holding her gun in front of her as she walked down the steps, Amanda could hear shuffling, and a shadow against the wall from the moonlight. Strafing around the corner, she saw two infected making their way in a line toward her position. Aiming with one eye open through the sights, she placed a bullet right through the walkers eye socket, dropping it to the ground. Instantly getting ready for a second shot at the next one, Amanda took careful aim. But before she could fire, there was another crack of thunder, and the lightning put her aim off balance. When the room was lit back up with moonlight, the door smashed beside her, and the infected was knocked through the window to the outside by a reptillian beast.
Without much hesiation, Amanda ran through the hallway past the scene as fast as her legs could take her. Plowing through the nearest unlocked door, she was in another small transition section, the door slamming behind her. Under the assumption that, based on the direction she had been moving, this would lead into the dining hall once again, so she kept some of her focus on the doors just in case. But, once one of them flung open, Amanda fired a round off at the infected, hearing a scream...
~~~
Moving slowely through the room with Chrys, the pair made their way to the door, and then opened it up. The birds werent staying for very long, they couldnt get through the door anyways. After they were safe, Rey questioned to herself, mumbling out loud however. "I hope Amanda is alight..." Rey took the lead, moving down and around the corner, she used her flashlight to see around this room. The searching for a candle, she pointed it out for Chrys, who immediately found it and lit up the room with several more along the walls. Seeing another door down a narrow hallway, Rey could help but hear a loud crash coming from another room. "Chrys, Amandas in there!" Running for the doorway, Rey opened it up, and felt a sharp pain in her shoulder after a gunshot rang through the open door. Falling to the ground, she nearly blanked out, looking up to only see the a faint glow of Amanda face with a horrific look.
"I'm sure she's fine..." Chrys moaned. She nodded when Rey pointed over at a candle, pulling out the box of matches and striking one, holding it over the wick. She waved the flame out from the match and rested her fists on her hips, looking around at how well the candle lit the room.
"Chrys, Amandas in there!"
Looking up, the next image didn't seem to fit very well with the dialogue Rey had just spoken. Rey was lying on the floor and Amanda's face could just be made out from the illumination of the candle; Chrys raised an eyebrow until she noticed the quickly pooling red around Rey's shoulder, "Frick!" the Journalist bounded over to the fallen girl, going down onto her knees. Chrys' hands hovered over Rey and her wound, wanting to help yet completely oblivious as to what to do. A couple of seconds passed until she finally looked up to the other girl, "Amanda!" it wasn't just a call of why, or for a better word 'how' she'd shot her, but also a plea for help as she was unsure of what to do for Rey.
She seemed in shock; whether that was good or bad was beyond Chrys' comprehension but she started making up her own assumption that it was simply the first time Rey had ever been shot and it had taken quite a mental effect on her. More of a wish than an assumption, purely because Chrys didn't want to think of any negative scenarios; they hadn't even reached Raccoon City yet and already she'd let up on her promise to Richard, "Hope you know some first aid," she spoke while holding Rey up into a sitting position in her arms, "Can't do anything here though, we need to find somewhere safer," Chrys slung Rey's uninjured arm over her shoulders and held her around the waist, she picked up her flashlight at the same time.
Moving through the doorway to the side Amanda had been on displayed a staircase ahead of them leading upwards and a hallway with rows of mirrors either side turning off to the right. One door remained next to the hall which Chrys took, prefering to find a bathroom or anything straight away than hunt through a hall. The next room was unfortunately more or less a hall all the same; one door to the right that she tried was some social room with a creepy looking eagle with glowing eyes hanging above the windows. The three were then faced between choosing another door at the other end of the room, or a staircase leading downwards. Chrys haggled herself, if her memory served then the other door would just take them out to the funny balcony thing over the top of the dining room; thus choosing to go downwards.
There was one door at the bottom of the stair case, almost missable and hidden by the stairs themselves. A guess brought the idea that it could be a bathroom. Chrys stumbled across one better though; it seemed to be a medicine room of some sort with all sorts of medical supplies. In one corner of the room was a bed which she carried Rey over to and placed her down on. Chrys fished through draws, not looking for anything for Rey specifically, but any pack of candles. A fox of sickly yellow sticks stood out which Chrys proceeded to light up and place near and around the bed for light.
Rey was screaming and crying out loudly, but it got even worse when she was deadly quiet and couldnt even walk on her own. Amanda didnt know what to say, she only put her handgun away, and rush forward to help. Keeping a close eye on her, without even paying much attention to their surroundings, she had followed Chrys while assisting with Rey once she had began to light up the area they were in. Amanda wanted to say sorry, sorry, sorry, over and over again, but knew that Rey probably wouldnt be able to hear her. Leaning over the bed, she sat down beside her, and examined the bullet hole. "How could I have done such a thing...?"
As Chrys lit up the room the best she could, Amanda searched for bandages. However, there wasnt anything of the sort. Even if she did find some, they would probably be too old to use effectively. Pulling off her pink hoody, she used her knife to cut it apart, and make her own bandage. Being as gentle as possible, Amanda rolled her friend over, and saw that the shot didnt go through her shoulder. What would Joey do? She wasnt tought to do any of this, getting the bullet out would be impossible without hurting her. Tears still fell, no matter how strong Amanda was, this was just too much to comprehend.
"How could I have done such a thing...?"
Chrys looked to Amanda with a wild face, "You could redeem yourself by fixing her up!" she shouted, which sort of turned into a growl. The Journalist ploughed through cupboards and draws looking for anything that had a 'bullet removal' sounding name, albeit she searched she knew that there was only one primitive way she could go about it since she didn't have any experience.
"Tweezers," check "Anaesthetic," check "Knife," yep "Now just something to bite down on," Chrys ran the blade of the knife along the sheet of the bed and rolled it up into a ball, "Okay, Rey, darling, this is going to be hard but I need you to swallow these two capsules for me," Chrys placed the pills in her mouth for her and let Rey sip from her water bottle to help with the ingestion, "Now bite down on this," placing the ball of cloth in her mouth just enough for Rey to clamp down with her teeth.
Rey's shirt was pulled off. Too much blood, stripping more sheets to mop it up, "Just get the bullet out Chry, don't worry about anything else, get the bullet out first before thinking about anything else," she was sweating beyond belief, the ends of her hair almost matted to her face, "Count to three, so you know when to expect the pain at least," the Journalist encouraged Rey now sitting directly on top of her, knife poised over wound.
"Three... two... o-" on the final digit Chrys stabbed the knife in trying not to be too vigorous about it, just feel for the resistance. Once the blade came in contact with the bullet she pushed to one side of the wound and pulled up. Up, pulling up, the bullet came closer and close to the surface.
Her eyes were shut tight the entire time.
Tweezers now in hand, Chrys plucked the bullet from the wound and dropped it on the counter beside her, "Your shoulder is now bulletless," she joked trying to keep the atmosphere away from 'mortifying dread'. There were some old styptic and suture kits Chrys had found, sutures she recalled from her childhood that her dad used to close shaving wounds while styptic had once been used to stop her arm from bleeding after a nasty fall from her bike. It was old, and she didn't know how to apply it properly, but Chrys figured as long as she used too much then it'd be more than enough.
The bullet hole was grossly covered in white with minor injects to the left and right of it, Chrys then snatched the torn up hoodie from Amanda and proceeded to wrap it around Rey's wound, tight. More sheets were torn up for the sling and Chrys made sure her pillow was rustled enough.
Hopping off the bed and stepping backwards, Chrys dropped at the wall opposite in the small room brining her knees to her chest, "F*ck me," mumbled while wiping her brow.
Minutes passed, "I have no idea how much that'll help. We have to find someone to make sure Rey'll be alright... we have to hold out through this storm for now," Chrys buried her head in her arms, "There could be someone in Raccoon City, we'll have to get there quick,"
Amanda saw that Rey was barely concience though the whole ordeal, and afterward, she was immediately resting. She knew that the girl was a tough cookie who had seen lots of things in her time at such a young age, but getting shot was a different story then simply seeing a dead body rot. Would she even be able to handle the wound properly? Would Joey be angry about the situation? So many questions that didnt need to be answered, when all they could do was take it easy for the remainder her of the night. Amanda put a blanket around Rey, making sure she was good and warm when she fell asleep. As for Amanda, she only watched her until she fell asleep.
After several cracks of thunder rolled across the sky, Rey wasnt woken up, this meaning she was having a well good rest. Anybody would probably be exausted from being shot, it drains a lot of energy from a person. Amanda didnt know this from experience, but she knew it couldnt be very pleasant. When Chrys spoke about finding someone who could help, there was only one persons name that came to her head, and that was Joey. But the odds of finding him were nil, there must be something else they could do. Amanda lay down next to Rey on the quite large bed, resting her head on another pillow, and looking over at her friend. "Im sorry, Rey... Please just call me a terrible person, all I ever did was slow you down." But she couldnt hear Amanda, not a single word.
Through out the night Chrys went to and from Rey checking her temperature, putting a palm to her forehead and feeling the heat escape into her hand. A worry. She lit a dim candle and searched quietly in the draws and cabinets, finding an old thermometre; tapping it twice to loosed up the mercury inside. She wiped the end of it and placed it gently in Rey's mouth, holding it for a minute for an accurate reading, '40 degrees celsius, and climbing,' Rey was getting a fever, meaning Chrys had botched the job. Granted it weren't as bad as being dead, but if the infection was left unattended to them they'd have a serious problem on their hands. How long Rey had was beyond Chrys.
She sat cross legged surrounded by candles, absorbing the heat and wishing she was back with the fire she'd started. Chrys planned out the days to do list; short, but it helped the time pass. They'd grab a car, maybe stop somewhere in the community for some supplies, and try to make it all the way to Raccoon City where they'd search for help. Without readily realizing it, Chrys had started to nose off, and within the minute fell asleep too.
