Anomalous Trip (Part II)

Dixie: “Hello ?” She knocks on the door. “Are you in here ?”

I say louder and knock back. “Yes what is it?”

[Dragnoxz]

Dixie: “She stoped talking to me telepathically. I’m worried about her.”

[slicsinatra]

“Where is she?” I open the door.

[Dragnoxz]

Dixie: “I don’t know. I can’t contact her. And I still have a headache from her altering my mind.”

[slicsinatra]

I attempt to reach out to Farenvoi with my mind.

[Dragnoxz]

There is no connection. You receive a sharp pain at the location she altered and nearly fall. It’s as if you were kicked in the balls at that location. You have a quick image of something you are not familiar with, but it feels like it’s connected to the dimension where Raccoon City is. You weren’t being contacted, but you did sense something, and it sensed you. You seem to have been trying to connect to something, but it wasn’t Farenvól.

Dixie: “We probably need to leave and look for her.” She backs up to find the exit. “Follow me, let’s fly out of here. I don’t like this.” She turns and walks down the hallway.

I follow her. Wisdom to roll for nature of the thing that sensed me? Was it familiar?

At this point, as the story unfolds the path is not known. By now, your mission has been completed, the family has probably already made it home safely and your team no longer in this dimension. From here on out, I may use AI to generate paths of outcomes or roll or a combination. I could be the DM/GM, however, this adventure for you probably has just begun. Your character knows he’s in deep, but he really is much deeper in this than he thinks. You have your, oh, wait, you left all your gear, so your wrist device is all you really have along with the shield uniform. What I do know is, something is brewing. And Caston senses something, but can’t quite pin point it.

Dixie: “We need to go somewhere. I feel it.” She picks up speed, as if she knows where she’s going. She turns and finds a stairwell. She follows it down. It arrives at a bigger hallway down below. It’s the same kind of hallway you were in earlier. She keeps going. And finds that it ends at an opening leading to the vast cave. Flashlights shine at your area. “It’s me guys. Start it up !” She shouts. (Assuming you follow her all the way).

The helicopter crew do as she says and get the chopper ready for flight. One of them folds up their cots and closes one of the side doors. Another sets up a 4 seat row closest to the gunner positions. One then moves to one of the guns and checks it. The other checks something where the cots were set up, and locks one in place. The copilot flips some switches, and you hear the engines whine as they begin to turn on. Smokes shoots out the turn one exhaust and the whine increases. There’s a white strobe light blinking, but then stops blinking. The rotor blades begin rotating. Dixie reaches the chopper (you too, if you kept up).

Dixie: “Buckle up !” She tells you.

I strap myself into the seat. “I’m good.”

[Dragnoxz]

The rotors pick up speed as you buckle in and the load master and gunner grab a gun, then Dixie flips a few switches and grips the controls, the chopper lifts up in the back and she kicks right foot on the right pedal and the chopper rotates to the right and faces the waterfall from within the cavern. The back lifts more and the nose lifts up and then the back lowers a bit and the chopper heads toward the waterfall, and before you know it you go from a cavern to a deep ass canyon with cliffs on three sides and a long river leading down a vast Grand Canyon like area, but in stead of it being like a desert, it’s forested all over, aside from areas that have has boulder collapses and land slides. Still, there are no responses from Farenvól.

Dixie: “Caston, I’m trying to speak to you mentally, like how she showed us. Do you read ?”

[slicsinatra]

I respond in my mind “Yes I hear you.”
