You realize you have no phone or electronics that work, you are bare, with only your wallet and ID. You also didn’t find your watch. You know you might want to check the phone and see if it works, and take a note of the password to the door, just in case you fail you Intel check when you return.

I go and charge my phone for a bit to see if it works. If it does I put the password in my notes app.

Your phone never wakes up. Whatever quarantine method was used fried it.

“Damn.” I go look for something to write with and some paper to write my password down.

You find a sticky note pad thing on the desk and a pen and a mechanical pencil. The pencil has no lead left in it, so the pen is all there is to write with. It’s low on ink, but it beats having no ink. Think of it as an ink ribbon. Maybe you can save your progress with this.

I check to see if it writes. I try to write the password down on the paper. If that doesn’t work I will resort to attempting to attempting to turn on the other security features like the retina scanner.

You realize you can just change the password to whatever you want.

I change the password to 2882. Then do the retina scan and hand print.

Once I get all of my security set up, I take off for the food court.

You reach the food court. You find there are a few vendors for varying kinds of food. One is American, which has burgers, fries, hotdogs, and other things you might find in the US, including barbecue items. Another is an Asian style section where there is sushi, fried rices and some authentic looking dishes. Then there is a Mediterranean section. There is also a doughnut and ice cream section all in one, and a health foods section with protein shakes and salads and things. Then there is another section there like an all you can eat type, with digital labels telling what each item is and their nutrition facts and there is even a timer of when the items have been out too long so everyone knows how fresh it all is. There is also a drink area, though none are alcoholic. There is also a nicotine and hemp dispenser, though no smokes or vapes, but gum and patches and gummies are present. It’s a small dispenser. There are labels showing how strong each item is.

I go to the Asian stand and order some crab roll sushi, and i go grab a protein shake. Peanut butter and banana if they have it.

You get what you want. You notice the tables and booths have connections for electronics. There is also the overlook lounge. It’s fairly crowded and noisy, however there are many open tables. Folks come and go, in uniform or casual clothing. The view is similar to the following:
