Cameron began to drive the short distance back to the hotel. "We can either go there, or sell everything here but our clothes and guns and fly off to Hawaii. I will let you choose. As long as you are with me, I will be happy where ever we end up, my love." He raised her hand to his lips and kissed her on it.
As the neared the Flamingo Hotel, he drove straight to the parking lot, bypassing the front door. He parked in the back row at the end, near the street. If they were made, he wanted to have a quick exit to the road. Plus, with the size of his new truck, they would have an easier time seeing the front entrance. As he turned off the truck (which left its back facing the entrance_, he crawled to the back and laid down, looking towards the entrance. The back seats had been laid down and it was quite spacious back here. They could definitely sleep back here if it came down to it.
"Now we wait", he said. Within a few minutes, the White Chevy Impala pulled into the front of the hotel and Fake Cam, who from this distance looked very much like Cam, exited the car and went inside. "Do you think he is cuter than me?" asked Cameron, playfully. Cameron was not he jealous type, he was just bantering with Rissa.

Rissa had crawled into the back of the truck with Cameron, and was relaxing in his arms as they waited for the Branded to take the bait. Then they'd be out of their way, and they could move on with their new lives. She giggled a little as she thought of her husband's supposed jealousy.
"No, he doesn't have your charm. You make a far superior Cameron. He is but a poor copy of you."
She smiled, slowly rubbing her stomach, and wondering whether or not she was going to be with child soon. She knew she was prized for more than just her pretty face: So few women and men in their community were able to bear children anymore. So many men were infertile, and nearly half the women of child-bearing age were barren. She wondered if she was barren as well. Maybe she never would have children. Maybe this was all ironic in the end. They spent so much time chasing her, for her to not be able to bear any children for any husband.
"Would...would it bother you if I was unable to bear you children?"

Cameron blushed at Rissa's compliment. He wasn't used to getting those types of comments. He saw her rubbing her stomach. At first he thought she was hungry... no telling what they fed them. Then she floored him with her question. He took his eyes off the hotel and put an arm around Rissa and looked her in the eye.
"You are my wonderful wife whether you have kids or not. I will love you if you bear me 9 children or no children. If children are in our future, then we can always adopt. There are a bunch of kids living on the streets who need a good home."
He leaned over and kissed her on her lips and placed his hand on her stomach. Giving her a goofy grin, he said," but that doesn't mean I don't want to quit trying."
By this time, Not-Darryl had exited the hotel with a huge trash bag in his hands. He looked around suspiciously and then climbed into the car and left. Cameron grew quiet, watching to see what was going to happen. As the car sped away, the Valet Attendant waved his hands in the direction of the truck that Cameron and Rissa came in on. Slowly, two white Tahoe's rolled up and paused long enough to talk to the Attendant. Then they sped off after the car.
Cameron crawled back into the front of the truck. "Well it looks like we found our little spy", he said. Cameron was a bit ****ed to say the least. He wanted to run that guy over, but he didn't. "We will drive around back and use the rear entrance. We should have enough time to go upstairs, grab out stuff and load it up."
He started the SUV up and slowly drove around back. Backing into a spot, he jumped out and check his gun. Then he held out his hand for his wife. The entered by the elevators and were quickly on their way up to the honeymoon suite. Remembering Rissa's question, he asked, "What if I can't give you kids, would you still want to remain with me?"

Rissa watched as the floor numbers lit up as they ascended, the knot in her stomach tightening. She wanted desperately to simply go, put as much distance between them and the Branded as they could. All they had to do was get their things and leave. They hadn't unpacked much, it wouldn't take them long...
Her thoughts were disrupted by Cameron's question. If they were back at the compound she was would be taken by someone else. She'd be given to a man who could bear children. Here, with him, she had a choice. She could decide to be with him or not.
"I...I would stay with you. You're my husband. My savior. I could not abandon you."

Cameron gave her a gentle hug. The doors opened and he tentatively stepped out. As he approached the door, he had his keycard in one hand and his revolver in the other. He swiped the door and it unlocked. Opening the door, he put on a higher pitched voice.
"Housekeeping, you need me fluff pillows?"
There was no answer, so Cameron went in and quickly checked the room. So far, their stuff hadn't been messed with.
"Grab what you want, but we need to be out of here in 5 minutes", he said to Rissa. Going to their bedroom, he began to pack up his gear. Most of his clothes were dirty and not salvageable, but he kept the items that he thought he could clean. He grabbed his guns and ammo, remaining clothes, the rest of their food and Boba Fett and put them in the bags. Then he went to the safe and opened it. Removing the remainder of his money, he stuffed it in his backpack. Lastly, his toiletries were added to the top of the pile and he began to zip up his duffel bags.
"How are you doing, Honey", he called to Rissa. They had a few more minutes before they had to leave.

"Almost done! Just grabbing the last few things and we can get out of here!"
Rissa had packed the few clothes she had, and was about head back into the main room when she heard an elevator door open down the hall. She froze, looking to Cameron and then back at the door. She slowly put down the bag she was holding and drew her pistol from behind her, pointing it at the door. She silently hoped it was actual room service...

Cameron was heading down the hallway and had his hand on the door when the elevator pinged. He froze and looked back to tell Rissa to be quiet. To her credit, she already had her weapon drawn. Slowly, he set it bag on the ground and pulled out his weapon as well. Then he took a few steps back. Outside in the hallway, he heard someone talking, but no response. He guessed that someone was on the phone, a radio, walkie talkie, whatever. Approaching the door, he listened in.
"What do you mean it isn't him. You shot the poor bastard? Well, I'm not a part of that anymore. Hey hey hey, threatening me won't do you any good. You all are the ones that killed him. Oh,like I know what he looks like. He has black hair and drove the white impala. It isn't like I had lunch with the guy. Yeah, yeah, I'm checking the room, now."
Cameron backed up and pointed his gun at the door. He didn't want to kill someone in cold blood, but now he had more than just himself to worry about. The door handle jiggled.
"Yeah, I'm in the room. No their stuff is still here, no ones around. You happy? Great, I'll see you in 15 minutes. And I want out. I don't mind helping you track down that couple, especially that gorgeous redhead, but I stop at killing people. Yeah, I'll meet you out front."
The elevator pinged again and the valet got back on the elevator and went back down to the 1st floor. Releasing the muscle tension and his breath, Cameron looked at Rissa.
"Let's go now", he said, as he opened the door.

"They killed him..."
Rissa felt numb as she picked up the bags and followed Cameron. The elevator ride down felt slow somehow, like they were going in slow motion. The Branded really wanted her back. How many more people would they threaten, hurt or kill to accomplish that goal? How many more lives was her freedom really worth?
"I can't let them hurt anyone else. I have to go back. Maybe if I give myself up, they won't hurt anyone else."

Cameron pulled Rissa close and embraced her in a hug all the way down to the ground floor. As the doors opened, he half carried, half led Rissa out the back door to their car. He took their bags and tossed them in the back seat and then helped Rissa into the front seat. Running to the other side of the car, Cameron hopped in and started it up, leaving the Flamingo Hotel parking lot. He drove for a little bit in silence. Then he pulled over in the parking lot and stopped the car.
"Rissa, while it is a tragedy that he was killed, that is not our fault. That is only the fault of the Branded. They could have chosen to let him go, but they decided to kill him for no other reason than that they are evil. If you return now, what do you think will happen to you? What has happened to girls in the past that tried to escape and were brought back?"

"Public stoning. Everyone has to...everyone has to participate."
Rissa felt tears welling up in her eyes, and quickly wiped them away as she tried not to think of Rachel, and what her battered body looked like after the entire community had stoned her to death. Cameron was right, going back wasn't going to be the answer. That meant she was going to go with him, and make the most of her newfound freedom.
"So, where to now husband? I'm ready to go anywhere you're willing to take me."

Cameron shuddered a bit, thinking of how awful it must be to be stoned. He grabbed Rissa's hand. "Once we are away from here, you won't have to worry about them. You'll just have to worry about us raising our family in a more loving way."
Looking in the rear view mirror, Cameron saw that the Flamingo Hotel was falling back in the distance. Even with the Branded out there looking for them, he felt better. The farther away from the hotel they were, the less likely the Branded would be able to pick up their trail.
Cameron turned left onto the next street and the hotel was cut off completely from view.
