Jack looked up at Mikey and sighed a bit. Even if he was able to find the right key, who knows if it would let them out. Sighing a bit as she climbed to her feet, she figured that it wouldn't hurt trying. She had promises to keep, and places to go. Moving to the door she leaned up against the wall as Mikey continued to fumble for the keys. She grinned a bit as she reached behind her goat and gripped the handle for her gun. "You know I couldn't help but notice how you took up to that gun in the cave," she said lightly. Looking at him and then to the door. She pulled out her smith and Wesson .45 and handed it over butt first. "Take it, it might not help you in that one place we went, but it can help you here," she said lightly. "An no arguing. I can handle myself fine without a gun. It's my last resort, and besides I have my knife with me as well," she explained.

Mikey stopped looking at the keys and at Jack when she talked to him. He looked at the pistol she was handing to him, and silently wondered why she hadnt used it earlier. She told him why, and then wondered why she didnt give it to him earlier. He slid the keys into his pocket and looked the weapon over. It looked like a fine piece of equipment.
Ejecting the magazine, he looked at the holes on the side to check the capacity. From there, he found 12 rounds in the gun. Not as many as he would have hoped for, but 12 .45 rounds would do some damage. He put the magazine back into the gun, but didnt bother with the saftey switch. The weapon had no round in the chamber, so it going off on its own wasnt a worry.
"Thanks." He said, and went to work again trying to find the key. He didnt know what the problem was. He never had a problem finding the keys. He always just found the edge of the key ring, counted in depending on the door, and found the right one. But not this time.
He finally found the right key, of course being the last one on the ring. The door opened, and Mikey stepped back. He put the keys away and pulled out the gun Jack had just given him. Pulling the slide back, he heard the familier sound of a round entering the chamber. He looked into the dark room, and sighed.
"Ok, the light is on the other side of the counter." He said, looking at the counter. He could barely see the outline of it. And he certainly didnt want to walk inside with who knew what waiting inside.

Jack nodded slowly toward Mikey. "Just cover me and I'll get the light," she said as she moved in front of him. Stepping carefully so that she didn't wake or disturb anything that might have been hiding in the shadows. With an outstretched hand she made her way across the room. The air alone giving off a fairly creepy feeling. As her hand met the desk, she slowly made her way around the desk, and to the back of it. She reached out against the other wall, sliding it along the wall in order to find the light switch. There was a little bit of lite from the door way, but not enough to efficiently work.
As her hand flipped the switch, and the lights flickered on Jack nearly jumped out of her skin. Not even standing a foot away from her was a horrible creature. The face all mangled and torn. It's body didn't look to be human anymore, and it's cloths you couldn't tell if a bum had worn them or a rat had gotten a hold of them. Jack wasn't quick to act as she felt a bat come on her, between her neck and shoulder. She cried out as she hit the wall grabbing her upper shoulder. She looked up just as the creature, who had swung the bat, reached down wrapping it's long fingers around her face and pulled her up into the air.
Jack just dangled there as she felt the pressure of the creature. She closed her eyes for a second, and then her eyes shot open as blue as the ocean and as cold as ice. A faint wind picked up within the room, and then without warning the creature let out a bloody cry as it's body began to jerk. Within seconds it's body was torn to shreds, and Jack dropped to the ground. She gripped her shoulder tightly as she leaned forward panting heavily. Blood from the creature showered the wall, and panted her face. Still she didn't move, only knelt in the position she was dropped.

Mikey ran foreward to Jack, dropping to his knees to check and see if she was ok. He hadnt seen the creature until it had already hit Jack. And even then, he couldnt get a shot off without the risk of hitting her. When the wind started to pick up, he had ducked behind the open doors and watched what happened. Something freaky. Something unnatural.
He grabbed her by the shoulder and shook her slightly. She was simply staring at the ground and not moving.
"Jack. Jack!" Mikey said, getting louder as he went, still trying to shake her back to the here and now.

Jack blinked a couple of times as Mikey shouted her name. She looked up at him, before looking down at the ground. She bit her lip as she climbed to her feet, only ending up falling against the wall. Her head was pounding, and her right shoulder arm and back were screaming in pain. She looked up at Mikey with lost eyes, almost confused eyes, before she struggled to stand once more. When she was on her feet she was fighting back her tears. Jack tried to gather herself as much as she possibly could, and walked around the corner. "W- we need to go," she said lightly. Though her words were more troubled than anything she had said before.
She was fighting hard to keep her composure, and not to slip up in front of Mikey. Tear swelling in her eyes, but never falling. Her head was pounding along with her arm, shoulder, and back. She just wanted to fall right out and start crying. She was scared to death, and what had just happened made it even worse. She didn't know how much longer she could go on like this. Acting tough when she was scared s***-less.

Mikey stood near her when Jack tried to stand. He was surprised when she managed to get to her feet on her own, and rushed to catch her when he thought she was falling down. When she told him they had to leave, he almost smirked at the obvious comment. Instead, he simply responded with "Ya. Come on, the door is right over here."
He crouched down a bit and wrapped her left arm over his neck and shoulders. Holding her left arm in place with his, wrapping his right arm around her small body, and keeping a tight grip on the gun with his right hand, he started to guide her over to the fire exit. When they got to it, he opened it with his side, and stepped out into the back alley. To his surprise, the place looked the same as it had when he had come in today. One end of the alley ended in a brick wall, and the other went on onto an unforseeable destination.
It was unforseeable because of the dense fog that was out. It wafted in the air, looking much lighter than normal fog. It also seemed to be snowing, but the snow seemed to be floating on the air, not falling staright to the ground as normal snow did.
"Great, even the weather is fu*ked up." Mikey muttered, half carrying, half assissting Jack down the seemingly never ending alley. Mikey however, knew that it was long, even in normal times. It did not seem to bother him that it was taking so long to reach the parking lot.

Jack smirked a bit as Mikey helped her down the alley. Though finding the position rather awkward since he was taller than her. She looked up at him, before looking down at the ground as they moved threw the alley. She was a bit surprised that he hadn't mentioned anything that happened in that room. How could she explain it. She didn't even know, for almost all of her life she had been denying what those little slip ups were. She was just losing her mind . . . but that wouldn't work in this case. That was unless she really had lost her mind.
"How much further?" she asked lightly. Though she just wanted to get away from Mikey. Go to a place he nor anyone else could see her cry. All she wanted to do was scream out and cry. She couldn't understand . . . was her teacher right about her coming on this trip? So many things didn't make since, and finding an answer was going to be hard. Right now all she wanted to do was hide, and be alone. But even she knew that doing that would be suicide.

"It shouldnt be too much farther..." Mikey said, not entirely convinced. In reality, the edge of the alley should be about thirty seconds away, but in a place where they made no progress walking towards the door of the mall kind of made him wonder if they were going to find an exit.
He let out a small laugh when the end came in sight. The building reached a corner and the alley wall kept going, but it was clear that they were now in the parking lot. Several cars lined the spaces, including several sedans and trucks that belonged mainly to mall employees, Jack's bike, and a large school bus.
"Jack, we're out. We can leave!" He said, excitment in his voice as he picked up his pace. He felt Jack start to drag a bit, and remedied the situation by sweeping her sideways and grabbing her under the knee's as well as keeping a grip on her shoulder. In his excitment, he failed to see the huge fence that was in place around the parking lot, blocking anyone from leaving.
He also failed to see the very large, deformed humanoid gimping towards them, a chainsaw dangling from it's left hand.

Jack just let Mikey move her. She was still a bit out of it earlier, but it was mainly for the fact she wanted to deny what had happened, what was happening. When Mikey had picked her up it had taken her a bit by surprise. The over joy that ran in his voice, sounded to good to be true. As she looked up at Mickey she could see the excitement on leaving this place. "Your going to have to take a car. I don't think I could ride my bike with this arm," she said lightly. Looking as they passed by her bike.
Her eyes had caught a glimpse of something she did not want to see. How it go so close she would never know, but still she had to act fast. Jack pushed away from Mickey causing them both to fall back wards as the chainsaw just barley missed them. Jack cried out as she hit the ground and instantly grabbed her arm. She looked up as the chainsaw freak swung his weapon at Mickey. Her eyes shifted to an ice blue. An without even realizing what was happening, Jack swung her hand out, and the chainsaw hit a faint blue wind causing it to stop. Pulling back her hand into a fist, the faint blue wind pulled back wrapping around the creature. Throwing her hand out to the side the creature was thrown into the car. Jack climbed to her feet with a bit of struggle as she stood between the creature and Mickey.

Mikey stood up almost instantly, not having been injured thanks to Jack. His mind was reeling, and he didnt stop to think how close to death he had just been. He only remembered falling to the ground, and the thing, and then how it swung, stopped, and was thrown accross the parking lot.
He moved beside Jack and panted, more from the adrenaline punping through his blood than from fear or weariness. the creature twitched a bit, but didnt make a move to get up. He looked at her and asked "What the fu*k was that?" More refering to what had happened to the thing than what it actually was.

Jack sat on her knees as she leaned forward slightly, panting heavily. Though hers was more from exhaustion than adrenalin. She gripped her shoulder tightly as she closed her eyes. Breathing heavily before holding her breath for a few seconds in attempt to slow her breathing down. When she opened her eyes they had once more returned to normal. Swallowing hard, before looking up at Mikey. "I- it's a curse," she spoke tiredly. Sighing heavily, before fully sitting down on the ground. "One I've been trying to deny for the past 15 years of my life."

"A curse? What do you mean a curse? What are you, a witch or something?" Mikey asked, a tone in his voice that said 'even with everything thats going on, thats just a bit too far fetched.' He dropped to his knees next to her, looking at her for signs of injury. The fall had been pretty bad, especially when he had landed on top of her. From what he could see, she wasnt bleeding on the outside, and he was fairly certain she wasnt bleeding internally, given the fact that she wasnt bleeding from the mouth or nose. But, he didnt know much about first aid. She could be filling her lungs with blood right now, and he wouldnt know it.
He looked up as he heard the chainsaw rev up. The thing had stood and was walking toward them in the time it took for Mikey to look at Jack. Mikey raised the .45 Jack had given him earlier, the one he had yet to fire, and pulled the trigger. The round entered the creatures chest, and it did nothing. He fired two more times, and nothing happened. He stood, a bit worried, and fired the remaining nine rounds. Each hit, but the bullets didnt appear to stop the creature.
It reached Jack, but didnt stop. It only seemed to be interested in killing Mikey. Be it that it really wanted to kill him more than her, or to save her for later, it wasnt clear.
"Uh...Jack...little help?" Mikey said, worry in his voice. She hadnt given him an extra magazine for the pistol, although he wasnt sure if it would make any difference, seeing as how it had just been hit 12 times and was still going strong.

Jack looked up at Mikey. With a bit of regret in the situation. She not only knew the consequences of using her curse, but she could also feel it. Yet when Mikey called out her name she knew that she had to do something. Climbing to her feet, she stood staggering a bit. Though the truth was her legs felt like jello, and she felt like throwing up. Swallowing hard, and swung her hand out in front of her. Just as the chainsaw was coming down on Mikey it had stopped once more. They weren't dreams . . . her past nightmares. They weren't dreams, and she understood it now, but never the less it hadn't been up until now that she started fully using her powers. With glowing blue eyes, she looked toward one of the cars with an outstretched hand. Tightening her fist the car started to hover above the ground. Swing her hand forward, the vehicle was thrown at full force against the creature knocking them further back, and into another vehicle.
Running forward she grabbed Mikey's hand and started dragging him toward the mall again. Knowing fully well that they were going to have to find another means of escape. With each step she took she was finding it harder. Her breathing growing harder, her head spinning. Jack's hand slipped from Mikey's as she collapsed to the ground. She laid there barley conscious as she struggles slightly to breath. Blinking occasionally as her eyes once more returned to normal.

"Oh sh*t..." Mikey muttered as Jack crashed to the ground. He leaned down and grabbed her wrists, using his weight to pull her to a sitting position, and then used his own strength to pick her up and swing her overhis shoulder. He grunted a bit as he did. She was heavier than she looked, but at the moment, he didnt much care. His only thoughts were getting them both away from the thing chasing them.
He ran back into the alley, all hopes of getting out of the place fading as he saw the familier bricks of the building and the wall beside it. He tried every door he could on the way, and finally found one that was unlocked after trying four. He ducked inside, latched the door shut, and went inside.
It was the clothing store, the women's clothing store. Walking inside and breathing a bit heavier than normal, he set her down on the bench and collapsed onto it next to her. A few moments of catching his breath later, he looked at her and shook her by the shoulders.
"Hey, are you ok?" He asked, not sure if she was or not. He imagined doing something like throwing a car with your mind took quite a tole on someone.

Jack just sat there stairing at the ground. Her eyes just barly open, she didn't say a word as Mikey called out to her. She was just barly concious, though her breathing had normalized. She finally managed to blink a couple of times, looking up to Mikey as he looked upon her with worried eyes. She smiled weakly, before she passed out and fell into his arms. She just laid there leaning up against him as her mind went threw it's own fitfull stage, as it always did when she used her powers. The stronger the abilities the more tole it took on her body. She always refuesed them, and denied to use them. Yet in the end it seemed that all she was doing was using them, and even the smallest attacks were taking a tole.
