Everyone knows we need this. It should help keep the threads about the movies down to one- this one.

Do we really need this?
Can't we all just pretend those b*st*rd child 'movies' never happened?

Most agree, some don't, for that 'Some' we still need this thread so there isn't an unatural abundance of threads focused on the movies created.
Even with those who agree that the movies are drek, it'll be a location for them to whinge, which also cuts down on the amount of threads that complain about the movies.
So yeah Kan, it is needed. Or you could think of it as 'Handy'.

Actually yeah, because the godfather of all zombie movies George A Romero is working on a re-birth of the series, his original script that he wrote for it has been leaked online. It scraps the plots for the other three films and goes back to the beginning.
But also up for discussion, what do YOU guys think a RE movie should be?
IMO an awesome film would be set in and around the RPD, showing the lead up to the zombie infestation as well as the character of Chief Irons who is implied to be pretty weird and manic with his disturbing paintings and covering up Umbrella's mess cus of bribes. More and more emergency calls would be coming through (I imagine Shaun of the Dead style little background details on phone calls, you just hear parts of conversations about stuff thats happening). Then it kinda goes into a Assault on Precinct 13 style movie with the Police trying to hold off the horde and the zombies eventually get in.
The sole survivor would be the black officer that you find in the western office who's bitten and locks the door after you, and a post credit scene in the same vein as Samuel L Jackson in Ironman would reveal Claire and Leon arriving outside the front doors of the station.
That would be epic. Get Rob Zombie to produce and or direct it and it would be amazing.

I was enjoying the description until the part with Rob Zombie. I'd rather not have my Resident Evil film looking B-Grade on purpose.

So have you guys seen the trailer for the new one?Afterlife i think its called, this one looks better then the others, with a mix of RE5 in it...though from the trailers it looks like a bad combination of the matrix, kill bill, and bad actors. And i dont think the "wesker" from extinction is the same for this new one.

I'd love to see some Nine Inch Nails on the movie. -Coughs- Some tracks from Year Zero and Ghosts I-V would be awesome. . .

lolno Samuel L. Jackson for Marvin Branagh. Samuel L Jackson as Samuel L Jackson, leave him with a box of weapons in the centre of racoon city, and let him go TNT for two hours. Instant oscar.

So, back to this George Romero script....
How much of that is speculation and how much is wishful thinking?

How do you mean BB? The Romero script is old and was turned down in the blink of an eye, all of it is wishful thinking.
