Jake lowered his weapon and quickly turned to Katie, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Katie, are you alright?" he asked. As he did, the other man had apologized, in a way leading to Jake only nodding at him.
"So what's going on here anyways? We don't need any rebellion. We need to do our best to stick together and watch eachother's back. That's the only way you're going to survive. Thinking rationally," the agent said, pointing at his temple as he eyed every single civilian.

"Jake, our group is falling apart. There were more of us, but we all got separated when the plane left, half our people still on it. Those two dead bodies, they were trying to lead, and failed. None of these people know what its like yet, they dont know what its like out there." At this point, Katie was sad at her fallen friends, but whats done was done. At least the tensions between some of these people would be gone now, thankfully. But there was gonna be fallout, and everybody knew it at this point. "The only person that could lead this group was Sherry, and when she left to go find us food, I could control everybody. There was just too much. It wasnt the first time, and probably wont be the last."
At this time, it was apparent exactly how Katie was doing. She was alright, but the group she was with wasnt. It wasnt like before, where death was all around here. She knew better now, and knew that if people worked together, they could all live. Losing anymore of these people would be the last of it, she didnt want anyone else to die.
The stranger could see this. With the short time hes been with them, the group always seemed like they would fail, and today just might be the eyeopener they needed to go on. "So now that this backup arrived, whats your plan to get out of the city?" He spoke to whoever was listening, and wanted to give an answer.

Jake had sighed and ran a hand through his hair when someone asked if there was a plan to escape the city. The problem with that, was the B.S.A.A. had ordered he and his partner to look into a Tricell base that appeared in Chicago recently. They weren't there to evacuate anyone, but they were authorized to supply the airport with a little food and medicine to raise morale. The unit they'd sent out, was stationed elsewhere and unable to help them.
That wasn't something Jake wanted to say aloud, however.
"No, leaving the airport right now would be suicide. There's a storm brewing outside and..." he trailed off, trying to decided whether or not it was best to mention the Tyrant. Probably not.
"There are some pretty blood thirsty raiders out there. The only reason they haven't attacked the airport is because they believe this place is packing military personnel. It's best to stay here until we can be evacuated tomorrow morning. For now, the rest of you need to get some rest," he told them.
He wasn't completely lying. There was a storm moving in, a blizzard possibly. The weather around the globe had been rather strange since the apocalypse arrived last year. It was too cold to go out and it was very much dangerous. They were safer here for the time being, atleast, until Jake could round up some help from the B.S.A.A.
Glancing down at his watch, he sighed. He had twelve hours to get his mission done and call in some evac choppers.
"Katie, Sherry, gimme the skinny on what's gone on here tonight, will ya?"

The storm was coming, that was for certain. A run out tonight would be impossible, so doing it in the safety of the daylight would be the best choice. They had enough food to ration out a meal, hold their group over until then. But no evacuation meant they had to work on this defense a little more. It was already checked and secured, but with a hell of a lot less people to defend it, they would need another run around to make sure there werent any walkers in. When the terminal gates opened and the plane left, who knows what slipped inside. Wasnt worth the paranoia, but even Katie knew that it was a good idea to be safe.
"Im going to get everybody into the staff section, best place to hole up for days if we have to." The stranger agreed, and wanted to stick with these people, make sure the peace was being kept properly. "Everyone, lets move." He spoke to the small handful of survivors, leading them into an open door. His own flashlight guided the way, because it was dark back there, but two others also pulled out their own to help search the rooms.
"Well, I guess thats the plan. We stay here, and protect out group. You two both have your own job to worry about. Right now, the group needs to sort things among itself, not trying to exclude you or anything. The BSAA isnt what it used to be Sherry, you know that... Ill be around if you need me." Katie followed behind the rest of the people into the staff section doorway, closing it behind her, but leaving it unlocked. She wasnt wrong, BSAA itself was falling apart. So in order for them to do theyre job, they couldnt be burdened by the survivors. Thats not why they were here in the first place.
They can look after themselves, I dont doubt that anymore... She spoke, looking at the two dead bodies on the floor. Jericho and Paul, she knew they would get the group killed, they were always a problem, the only reason she didnt want to leave them alone for too long. The stranger picked up on that very quickly, meaning hes seen a lot, maybe even a victim of Raccoon City himself for all she knew. Right now, the BSAA needed to do theyre own job. "The rest of my team left on that plane, and took the radio with them. Im alone here, and im not expecting any backup. Clearly your not for me, officially I mean, im sure you mean well. So you tell me what needs to be done, and ill help you carry it out. Lets follow up on that BOW report, cant let that roam around, can we?"

Jake watched the survivors walk away to do a through security check, the opposite of what he told the regular civilians to do. He groaned and shook his head. A group of sheep, these ones... he thought to himself with a chuckle. Finally, Sherry and he were left alone and from there, she'd explained what happened to her unit.
"Well, Tricell's been seen in Chicago. They've set up shop in the Tribune Tower and the Light House from what our agents have reported in. They were unable to pursue them further due to multiple Tyrant and B.O.W. attacks in the area. We sent out a unit before, but none of them had come back," he explained, shaking his head.
"Whatever it is they're doing, is a nuisance for the B.S.A.A. and so they've dispatched myself and Lieutenant Isaac Chase along with a new unit under his command here to find out what it is. As for the supplies...there is none. I just wanted to ensure the civvies here some temporary peace of mind until I can get us all a way out by sunrise."

The BSAA always worked together. There wasnt many times when two members disagreed, usually because nobody truely knows what each member seen. Sherry seen a lot, a whole bunch since Vegas. That was back in 2007, and we didnt let the truth get out about that either. Thats how she figured the entire thing started to begin with, to keep their mouths closed, perminantly. Then the BSAA would show up, kill everybody, doing their "job", and move on. Everything was just more open now, it was like this everywhere, or at least starting to happen everywhere. The BSAA just did what they could with the time that they had, to ensure the growth of the infection would slow down fast enough to prepare people. That meant eliminating all BOW linked forces.
"Tricell? Go figure. Well then, lets go do a little recon, at least. The storm wont just mess up out vision, itll make it easier to sneak around too, even from a T. Thats why I got a pair of these..." Sherry grabbed her bag from behind the counter, and pulled out a pair of high frequency sonar goggles. "I was issued them in Vegas so we could travel even through the blowing sand of the Mojave. Gave us a huge edge against the BOW, thats for sure. Itll work even better in the snowstorm, and so long as you stick close to me, we should be able to cover ground just as quickly as if there was no storm at all."
Moving for the doors they came in, Sherry open them up, letting the cold in for just a few seconds before the two of them left. The more ground they could cover between here and deeper in the city before night, the better. "Some places were still lit up, a lot of people in the city just trying to make it by. We come across anybody, that would be out mistake. Not sure if you know, but you cant trust anybody, not after what happened. But, if your Spec Ops, then my guess is you already know all of this." Sometimes it was better to treat somebody like they were stupid then to not give them important information. The definition of "Stupid" and "Uneducated" these days changed. What was once cruelty and violent action turned into common sense and paranoia.

Jake nodded, not fully paying attention to the agent's words of wisdom, he was busy digging through his gear to pull out his own pair of sonar goggles he was given prior to his arrival in Chicago. He was also wondering whether or not he should wait for the Lieutenant to join him.
"Damn wish I could notify the Lieutenant that we're gonna head on out without him. He's prolly gonna bite my head off about it....eh well," he muttered, more to himself than to Sherry.
Smiling at the woman, he'd jerked his head forward.
"Alright, Sherry, hope you've got enough ammo to last you the next couple of hours. This could be a long night and I'm not sure what to expect, but expect the unexpected...and expect the expect expect..." he trailed off before giving her a lop-sided grin.
"You gonna let your team know you're leaving for a bit or ya gonna just go? Looks like the cowboy has reigns of the group now...and Katie's here, she'll look after them," he said.

It was if they were partners, which was good. Sherry knew that Jake would be a good partner, and that he had a lot of prior experience himself. With his own pair of goggles, it made things easier two, she shouldve knew he had them if he was Spec Ops. But using them only when in higher altitudes was key, because if they ran out of batteries, which usually happened pretty quickly, they might not get the chance for anymore if things were cleared up.
When Jake mentioned the man leading the group back there, and whether or not she was going to tell them the plan, Sherry responded. "Shes a tough one, thats for sure. But yeah, they have to sort things out on their own. Things are going to get a lot worse before the get better, I dont need to tell you that." The BSAA had orders, and an official endgame. But with all thats been going on, Sherry knew that endgame wasnt going to be reached, period. She didnt have faith in the BSAA anymore, they were just trained soldiers who will lead the remaining survivors once the infection spreads even more. As much as she hated to admit it, putting together a group of her own was going to be what kept people alive, mainly herself and a select few others.
She snowy breeze outside was distracting, but the toggle for the SGD18s made for a quick scan of the area. Anything moving twenty feet ahead of them will come up if they were in range, and anything low to the ground would be to cold to even worry about, even if it was a infected. Sherry had her SMG hung in her hands, didnt bother holding it up unless there was a major threat, and the sights werent meant for range anyways. Her own magnum was strapped to her backside, ammunition pouch not even used. She never had to dispatch any walkers since before the airport, so her ammo count was still full.
There was only two things on her mind right now, besides the survival common sense she had. Tracking down this BOW, and thinking about if it would be better to travel North when the spring came, and keep South before it got too cold. This was the first snowfall of the season, and it was already rough. Wasnt going to get any warmer for another few months, and they needed to stock up on food if they were going on a trip. But there was one more thing on her mind too, and that was whether or not the BSAA Headquarters would still be up and running. Maybe it was worth asking Jake about, since he seemed to still keep in contact. "The HQ still a good defense? When these outbreaks started popping up, I never made it back. How much longer before were become expendable?"
It was food for thought, and it was smart to think in the longterm. They finish their mission, eliminate the target BOW, and track down the Tricell affiliates in Chicago. What then? Stopping this outbreak isnt going to be a task she was up for, or could even manage even if ten people at her side. Sooner or later, they would have to get out, go off the radar.

Jake had been sifting through his gear to take a quick inventory check when Sherry asked about the defenses of the Florida HQ. Sighing, he'd taken another glance at his watch and looked up at her. "Florida Base is fine for now, they let go a handful of agents a few months back though, so our agents are pretty limited," he told the young woman.
"Alot of good agents were forced out into the infected zones, didn't even bother trying to get them into Vegas or anything like that...They just don't have the space or the "funding". I'm not sure how long we'll be useful before they forsake us too," he explained. He knew it was blunt, but he had to be honest with her.
"The f*cked part of it all? The B.S.A.A. are getting weaker whereas Tricell seems to be getting stronger. Somehow..."
Tightening the drawstring of his big, he slung it over her shoulder and began making his way toward the bridge. "Either way, best way to keep our jobs is to do our jobs. And do them right, let's get going," he told her, walking out of the terminal.

"Yeah, whether were told to or not, we have to deal with that T at some point. Might as well be n-" There was a voice coming from down below, back on the street. It was almost impossible to tell what they were saying, but it sounded like some men, angry. Sherry quickly flicked the scope on, and then looked down, trying to see how many people their actually were, and if they were armed. Since the street was the where they needed to be, lowest to the ground, it meant making sure they dealt with these people right to avoid any unnessicary gunshots.
After making it down the steps, Sherry crouched, and peered through the scope. "Looks like four of them, three men and a woman, two with rifles, two with pistols. How do you wanna handle this? Sneaking around them would be next to impossible, the allys will be flooded with Infected. We gotta go straight through this group..." Sherry knew exactly what they should do, but wanted to hear what Jake had to say, how he wanted to handle it. They werent going to take them along, but gunning them down was going to make a lot of noise. Reasoning with them might be a good idea, but if it ended up pretty bad, she would rather not get shot today.

Jake took refuge beside Sherry and looked out at the group, squinting his eyes a bit. He'd adjusted the rifle in his arms and took note of where every single person was standing. They were standing around thoroughly equipped with tactical vests identical to one another and heavy black jackets.
"Those aren't just any people out there, I think they're Tricell. Our orders as B.S.A.A. are to take out any trace of Tricell as we see fit unless otherwise authorized," Jake told her in a low voice.
From there, he'd noticed one of the men and the woman break off from the group to look around at what looked like a corpse lying on the floor. One of their own, maybe?
"Hit' em. Hard." Jake finally said, nodding at the two. He moved out to go after the other three in a tight group.

It was then that Sherry knew hat sort of differences they two BSAA Agents had. Jake was part of a Spec Ops group, much different branch then your typical agent, but not like the resurrected STARS Unit. His mission had him do things under the radar, and a little more mercenary style, it seemed. Sherry wasnt much for killing people, she was better with the infected. But Tricell needed to be taken care of, and even if it meant channeling her anger toward this little group, she would get it done. "Understood. Five seconds..."
The two of them got into position, and as they both counted down in their head, the pair moved in. Jake had a supressed sidearm, and quickly dispatched the three in a few seconds, while Sherry moved in for the remaining two, the female and a man. Her knifed drove into the back of the mans neck upward, and as she pulled it out, spun around to the female. She was now in a neck lock, the blade close to her chest. "You dont know what your doing, neither of you do! We will find your little group, and then the airport wont be a problem anymore."
Sherry ignored the womans. She wasnt worried about that, because she knew there was already attacks on the airport. They failed, several times, and without these few agents getting in contact with the rest, things would still remain quiet until the storm is over. "What the hell are you doing? If you think im going to answer any of your questions, your wrong. Might as well just kill me now." What seemed like a capture was something much more clever. Sherry dragged the woman all the way to the side of the street, looking at Jake to bear with her. Finally reaching the ally wall, she threw the Tricell agent against the ground hard, and pulled out her Magnum. Looking at Jake to finally give away her plan, she spoke. "Bait."
Firing a single round inter the womans head, the body lay on the ground, and the gunshot echoed throughout the allys and the side streets. The infected began moving in, the moaning was getting louder and louder. Sherry quickly jogged back onto the main street, and motioned for Jake to follow the route she was taking. "If we move quietly, and stick close to the wall, the infected will come back to the ally, giving us an opportunity to cross back over and stick to the main roads. Faster, and more visual, especially since this storm doesnt seem to be letting up any."
