Jimmy started at Alex. So she was alive but barley. She was hanging on by a thread and soon she would die and then once again Jimmy would be left alone in this cruel world with nothing to hold and love. Alex was out cold now and he didnt know when she was going to come around again. Why did bad s*** always have to happen to him? "This is all going to end Alex. I promise you that me and you will go to a better place one day. We cant stay in Racoon anymore". With that, Jimmy kissed his wife on the lips before lifiting and walked out of the room and into the dark corridor.
Lights flickered on both sides of the corridor and for once Jimmy was lost. He didnt know exactly where to go or where the exit of this monstrous place was. All he knew was that he had to get Alex out of here as fast as he could. "Dont worry Alex babe, Im going to get us out of here". He didnt know why he kept talking. Alex was out cold and she couldent hear anything he was saying at all. Why was he bothering at all? Because it made him feel better that someone was with him in a situation like this, even if that someone was the reason all this s*** was happening.

Alex shifted slightly in Jimmy's arms. She let out a small moan from the pain that coursed threw her body. As he continued to move the hall way seemed to get brighter as a large glass window seemed to lead out into the streets. Alex mumbled under her breath as tears streamed down her cheeks. With a trembling hand she reached up to grip his shirt tightly. She loved Jimmy dearly, and for so many years she longed to see him. An now that he was here she wished he wasn't. He seen the horrors that she could cause, and he now seen the pain that she would put him threw.
Her eyes slowly opened before she looked around the room. She was alive, but with the pain she wished that she wasn't. She flinched slightly stifling a cry. Looking up at Jimmy tears streaming down her face. A cough escaping her lips as more blood seemed to flow, but yet it was less than the last time. She looked up at him, but as soon as his gaze met her she quickly turned away. She still couldn't face him, or look him square in the eyes. She had caused him so much pain, and yet he wouldn't leave her. "W- why?" she asked with a dry throat. "W- why do . . . do you love me?" she asked as her tears continued to stream down her face. Her head resting against his shoulder as she continued to grip his shirt tightly.

Jimmy looked down at his wife, her question like a bullet to his heart. Was she really asking him that? Was she really testing his love for her?"Alex, I don't care what the hell you do to me, Ill always love you. Remeber the vow we both said at the wedding 'forever and always'? Well I am going to keep true to that vow! I love you Alex Carter Lettier, and there is nothing in this world that will change that. The only pain you could cause me now is if you died or left me for my own sake. Please dont do that"
Jimmy then kissed Alex like he had never kissed her before. The world around him began to melt as his lips met with hers and kissed in a ceratin formation, the way Alex liked it. He didnt care what was going to happen to him anymore, all he cared about was Alex. She was his main priority. He didnt look for her for 5 years just to lose her because she didnt want to be with him, No way. "Alex I love you forever, please dont make me go away"

Alex gripped Jimmy's shirt tightly. "I- I don't want to hurt you," she said lightly as she closed her eyes. She could still feel the burning sensation coursing threw her body. She stifled a cry as she coughed again. More blood dripping down the corners of her mouth. She rested her head against his chest as she tried her best to stifle her cry. The pain was emince, and it felt like her veins were on fire. "J- Jimmy," she said heavily as her hand gripped his shirt tightly. She looked up at him tiredly as she blinked away the tears. "I- I'm sorry, f- for hurting you so much. I never meant for you to suffer. I- I wanted it to end with your brother, but I seem to fail a- at it miserably." She cried out again as she held her breath in order to stop the pain.

"Alex your not hurting me" Jimmy told Alex as he stared into her grey eyes. "Please dont even think about leaving me. I would die if you did". He then held her tightly, her head resting against his chest, the soft rythum of his stomach inflating and deflating making her comfortable...or so he hoped. He looked at his watch, nightfall was coming soon and they had to find a safe place to stay before they went looking for Arya.
"Alex, nightfall is coming. We have to find shelter. You can say that I dont love you all you want and that I should leave you BUT at the end of the day im staying with you rather you like it or not. I love you more than anything in the world and its going to take ALOT of force to remove me from you. You can say were liked attached at the hip". He gave her a smile, hoping she would too. He didnt want Alex to feel guilty at all, this wasent her fault.
He looked around the empty street, there wasent anything in sight. Loud moans echoed around the streets but as far as he was concirned he did not find any infected nearby. "Looks safe to me" he whisperd before looking at Alex with a smile. "Care to share a room with me tonight?".

Alex rested her head against Jimmy's chest and closed her eyes. She held his shirt tightly as she tried her best to get as close as possible to him. Though with him carrying her there was no other way of getting any closer. She rested in his arms as she opened her eyes slowly. She was tired, hurting, and she wasn't feeling to well since Jimmy had saved her. Though Nickle wasn't the best for her, but the acidic base just made it worse. "Jimmy," she spoke lightly as she closed her eyes. Her hand gripped his shirt tightly before she managed to cough heavily. "Please don't leave me," she said lightly. Her arms gripping him tightly as she shivered slightly. "Please don't leave me," she said again as she looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I'm scared . . . I'm scared of me, and what can happen to you. . . I- I don't want to lose you again," she cried as she buried her face into his chest. "Please, stay with me."

"Alex" Jimmy said softly as they walked down the street, her in his arms. "Why would I leave you when I tried convincing for 3 hours now for you not to leave me?". He smiled at her and gave her a small kiss on her forehead before looking up and continuing to walk down the empty street. The city was dead. No one wondered its streets anymore due to the mutating T-Virus. While others ran away and evactuated, Jimmy made this city of the dead his home. He had no one to go to outside and he didnt want to face the world without his family, who he had finally found after many years of searching. Jimmy began to draw a mental picture of Raccoon in his head, searching for the hotel that he had been once before with a bunch of friends during his University years.
"Dont worry Alex, were going to get out of this hell hole now that I have you. We can live the life we always wanted without interference by Umbrella or any other ruthless corporation". Anger began to flare through his body and he could bet that Alex felt it as well. He began to mutter curses under his breath as he held Alex. He looked down and saw her smile at him, a cute smile that melted his heart. Her grey eyes stared him down and Jimmy started back with his bright blue ones.
(Jimmy and Alex are now on The Streets)

OOC: Wouldn't it actually be lowest caliber, considering high caliber would be preferred? xD Also, I'm gonna post here in about two days, if I see things my way. I assume there are as-of-yet undiscovered passages and locked off rooms still? [Do want know, plz. D:]

-:Emotionless joy.
A perfect description.
An anonymous user, accessing a personal terminal in a B-1 Office to download data to a wireless personal device, unsuspectingly triggering a much-needed chain reaction. The PDA unknowingly carried, along with the access codes for multiple level exiting properties and access, a very brief wireless signal, issuing directives to all active B.O.W. within the Arklay Laboratories. These directives, for the most part, hit dead creatures of immense stature, or caged enemies. Most are still within their designated hibernation; their drug-induced catatonic sleep.
There are exceptions.
---
For the last four months, Hivemind literally stood on stand-by. Unwavering, suicidal loyalty, coupled with a debilitating lag-time due to a lack of proper orders and directives, kept Hivemind on foot for the last one-hundred and twenty-seven days, sixteen hours, four minutes, and thirty-five seconds. It was a nightmare. She stood, at attention, without moving so much as a single rotten finger. Any amount of disobedience was met with immediate punishment. What if this was a test? An attempt to foil her endurance, giving the researchers more reason to fill her with drugs and tubes, ripping away more of her flesh and what little humanity she held physically, finding more ways to drive her mind deeper into it's recessed shell...? What if...:-[DIRECTIVE DOWNLOAD SEQUENCE INITIATED: PREPARING LOG FILES AND OBJECTIVE TERMINOLOGY... PLEASE WAIT...]/./Hivemind's head jolted up from it's very slight angle to a perfect 0°x, 0°y, and 0°z axis. Her mind became ablaze with newly acquired information regarding the last four months of mishaps at other laboratories. Dead scientists, missing persons of interest, anything relevant to Umbrella's security. The furious storm of data, at first, was like any other download procedure. But this one was consequentially useless.
Hivemind understood absolutely none of it. No relevant information regarding her personal directive or operations sparked.
Near the very end of the download procedure, the signal weakness began to incline. Her D/PS began to dwindle. frantically, her mind began to race once more. The single chance that she had of performing in the field again... To prove her worth, and hopefully stave off more provocation, was slipping through her decrepit body. In a few moments, she would become obsolete once more.
These white, desolate, endless hallways would be her crypt. More than likely, she will stand here, at attention, in the same position she had been waiting in for the last four months, for another four. Or longer. A thought crossed her mind, with the fading signal only an afterthought in her fretted mind.
She will stand here until her legs give out. Until she rots away into a pile of black skeletal armor and a P90.
Tyrants need tear ducts.
With signal strength depleted to almost nothing, her mind found several keywords... Ones that made no sense to her... Until the last one came in. Then it was clear as day.:-[INITIATE PROTOCOL: EMERGENCY OVER-RIDE OF INITIATIVE NECESSITY. COMMENCE AUTONOMOUS.exe. ALL PROCEDURE FREE. CAUTION. PROTOCOL ADHERING ERROR. SEEK MAINTENANCE/REQUEST EXTRACTION FO--- .error/AUTONOMOUS.exe OVER-RIDE. CAUTION. CONFLICT DETECTED IN ALL REI--- .error/AUTONOMOUS.exe OVER-RIDE. CAUTION. DO NOT ENGA-- .error/AUTONOMOUS.exe OVER-RIDE. ALL PROCEDURE FREE. PROCEED WITH CAUTION, [HIVEMIND].-:Caution. A word so used, and yet never recited to Sylvie. It was the "Watch your step" that was whispered in one's ear as one was pushed off of a cliff, or high building. Umbrella had simply given up on her. Her only known caretakers... The only people who acknowledged her existence.
Hivemind collapsed, the first true movement she had made in four months. She fell to her knees, dropping her P90 at her side. She grasped her smooth, armored helmet, as if to clutch her own head, and gave forth a wail. Broken, acid-scarred lips spread apart, revealing her intact teeth, but decayed mouth. The lack of flesh within her mouth would allow one to see her teeth connecting to her skull. Horrifying. but not nearly so much as the reason her teeth and mouth showed beneath her ominous flak helmet.
The scream she gave forth was simply terrifying. Any being with any form of soul would surely cringe in fear and anxiety. The shriek was of the soulless variety. A lack of understanding. Abandonment. True, hateful unrest. She had literally no memory of her life before this. And all of her existing memories were simply cruel. Every day was torture. And now this?
Indeed, the scream was an earbuster. More so to Hivemind herself, as a surprisingly low amount of it was retained within her mind's shield. It was deafening to her on a very light scale. But more intense outside of the helmet.
The scream receded. She immediately grabbed her silenced P90, and corrected herself. The transition from the mentally unstable, decaying Sylvie to the composed, will-strong Hivemind was a sight to behold. Hesitation was not to be found in this one. She simply began to walk forward. The piercing darkness within the well-lit lab was ironic. An oddity for a B.O.W., she proceeded with caution, her hands forward of her body some, tapping on the walls and objects to avoid colliding with anything. The lack of doors and signs, in her mind's eye, was unwelcome. In a few cases, she simply walked past doors, stairwells, and elevators. It was only when, through the ringing in her ears from her earlier outburst, the familiar low-range soundwaves of gunfire resonated throughout the facility. Familiar, and foreign.
Was it Umbrella? Were they here to secure her again?
What else could she do? In the simplicity of B.O.W. nature, she sought the sounds out.
Emotionless joy.
A perfect description.:---- -:A Banshee crept through hallow walls, colorless to the ghost. They seemed to stretch as far into the distance as her touch allowed. Door frame after door frame, cell after cell. Each locked, each blocked. Skeletal, bone-bare fingertips grazed every surface possible. The feeling may have been gone, but the pressure still existed. She could sense how much pressure, when applied, forced back. Metal walls moved none. Bodies, experiments, dead tissue. All sprung back. It would have been quite a sight. A black-clad female Tyrant, kneading at every viable surface within reach. Looking.
For what?
Anything.
Anything at all.
A voice. EYES.
Someone.
ANYONE.
ANYTHING.
FAMILIAR.
The low-pressure firearm discharge was over and done with some time ago. Was it a week? Or a month? She couldn't tell. The deafening silence began to creep up on her. Again, she was alone. Nobody to care for her. Nobody to care about her. Withering away. Significance? No. Meaning? No.
She was alone. Lost in a sea of dark. Hand extended. Waiting for something to grasp her flesh-less fingers and lead her out. Somewhere. Anywhere but here.:-
-.... LOADING PROGRAM SCRIPT harmonizing_dampener.exe.... LOADING FULL LOW-FREQ RESONANCE... PREPARING ALL SYSTEMS...-
Her movement paused. Mid-step. Mid-breath. A loss of balance, nearly.
-:A low-range, low-EM-pattern brainwave was detected. Locking onto it was simple. Acquiring it's unique wave was even moreso. A variety of frequencies were tested on the creature in rapid succession. Each unsuccessful pattern was skipped along, until at least an 80% compatibility assurance brainwave pattern was discovered. The data, from there, is coordinated with Hivemind's. It is translated into information that Sylvie's mind will adapt into commands, which is backwards-translated into data to be sent out. The creature went limp for a second, before correcting.:-
-ENEMY ACQUISITION No. 000481217. SUCCESSFUL. ENEMY EM-BWP LOGGED AND STORED. ENEMY TYPE: HUMANOID. UNKNOWN POTENTIAL. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.-
-:That word again... Caution. Unfamiliar. Even with the unknown being's control over her, the signal was dampened by the thick metal walls, and Sheetrock surrounding the facility. Her left arm, struggling to find an object worth mentioning, dropped to her side. She lumbered forward.
The signal strength began to increase. Enough so to bring the HUD online, but just so. An established connection. The data scrambled still. She influenced it's actions, tempting it's nerve endings and muscle twitches.
Flail.
Hit something. Make a noise.
What came next irked Hivemind. A loud metallic thud, followed by a crispy crunch echoed. From the left! She continued to move forward, until a proper connection was established.
And for the first time in seven months, she could see.
The Looking Glass was on the floor, facing up. Underneath a desk, or table. A surface of some kind. She influenced the creature further. causing it to pull itself away from the cavity, and stand. The latter was more difficult than she had predicted mentally. The dizzying images implied the minion had either lost a fair amount of blood, or simply muscle mass. It's standing was difficult to coordinate. It's eyesight was nothing to write home about. It was frail. Weakened. Slow.
At least she was no longer alone.
And as an added bonus, she could see. Text-recognizing programs initiated. Mental mapping systems enabled. She was on her way out, finally.
The Banshee, haunting the hollow walls, saw in color. For once, promises of an exit didn't seem so far off.:-
---
-:With personal orientation necessary, Hivemind took the front. She had her zombified-follower... Well... Following her. A third-person perspective allowed her to direct and turn herself as necessary, dodging objects and the like. The pair shuffled around for a good hour or so. Empty offices, dead bodies, failed experiments, flooded laboratories. None of it was relevant. They had walked damn-near half-way across the facility before a breakthrough.
Text-detecting software translated an image. "B-7: PARKING GARAGE/EXIT - RACCOON"
Huzzah. If her lips still existed, she would have definitely cracked a grin of excitement. The map pointed out a vague direction for access. To this end, she followed.:-- [Hivemind and one zombie have left B-6 Area: Laboratory, for B-7 Area: Garage. Slowly.]
