[[O.O.C: Louise and Amanda enter Notting Hill]]
The car drove slowly through the streets of Notting Hill. The carnage in the road reminded her of Raccoon City; yet it wasn't as bad. They passed "Mrs Farmer's Bakers" whilst driving through, Louise had known her from being a little girl - you can imagine the horror when she later see's Mrs Farmers dead outside the store. Louise made her way down a small street and stopped outside a small house. It had a front lawn which was filled with old newspapers of some sort. The place had boards on the window's; maybe they are alive?.
Louise got out the car and asked Amanda to follow her. The pair made their way into the house; it wasn't locked - it was open. As Louise held her gun high, she had a small knot in her stomach, the feeling that the moment she opened the main living room door that she'd find her parents dead made Louise feel sick. Louise stood still in the doorway - she looked up the stairs slowly, the dark carpets had not changed in the years. Louise saw the shoe stand to her right, her father's dusty old shoes were there. She grabbed one and threw it up stairs; if there was something there it would've come out out by now. Louise turned to her left and opened the glass door to the living room. Louise moved in slowly, as she searched the room her heart sank - Louise dropped her guns and suddenly became weak. She fell to the floor - the cold tears trickled down her cheeks; she'd dreaded this moment since she set out to find her parents in Raccoon City. Louise felt her heart slowly breaking - as she stared at the corpse of her dead mother sitting in her arm chair. But were was her father?

Amanda quietly walked along the yard, following Louise closely behind. This place was really quiet, perhaps too quiet for the liking, it was the silence that came before some much bigger. The papers that lay around the grass were all warped and torn from the elements, and were fairly illegible as far as she could see. The headline was more then likely an obvious warning to the reader about infection, just as the papers everywhere else would say. As she followed Louise into the house, he heard the sound of the old shoe break the silence. Now only their footsteps and the sound of the glass door opening across the floor, she waited for something. When Louise dropped her weapons, thats when Amanda knew something was wrong.
"Louise, I... I... Im so sorry..." Amanda spoke, studdering between words as her own spine shook. But what could she do? There nothing that could be done, no going back. And the worst part of it was, the older woman laying on the floor, who she assumed was Louises mother, would probably rise soon knowing there were people around. Unless of course, she died peacefully with self inflicting death. This thoughts were cold, but Amanda was nearly hardened from the passing years of Raccoon City, and she aleady been down the same road as Louise. There was nothing you could do, nothing anybody could do, and that was the worst part of it all. Looking back at Louise, there was a loud thud from up the stairs.
Amanda quickly picked up one of the guns off the floor, and aimed it outside of the room. Strafing to get a better veiw of upstairs, she trained her eye with the sights of the gun. Her hands were steady enough to shoot well enough, five years forced being self tought was one reason she was lucky enough to be alive right now. She hated to tear Louise away from the other room, but wanted her to go first, just in case. Looked over her should into the living room through the doorway, Amanda spoke out quietly. "I think you should go first... Unless you want me to... Your call..." Amanda looked back through the sights of the gun, and then back towards Louise.

Louise took a moment to pull herself together, her head was currently full of unexplained thoughts. Louise heard the sound from upstairs and saw Amanda reach for her gun and head towards the stairway. She turned to Louise saying "I think you should go first... Unless you want me to... Your call..."
Louise turned to Amanda and saw that the girl was ready for action; Louise wiped the warm tears away from her eye's and cheeks and reached for her guns. She loaded them again and lead the way up the stairs. Slowly they both moved, on the 4th step a creeking noise broke the tender silence. They continued to walk up the stairs, when they reached the top Louise saw the long corridor which lead to the main bedroom and the bathroom. She then saw the door to her right, which used to be hers. Louise tried to remember where the sound came from; she kicked open her bedroom door to find it empty, the pink walls remained the same, as Louise glanced around her room she looked through the big open window and saw a row of houses behind her's. They all seemed such a mess compared to the view she remembered. As she got caught in the moment, a smash was heard from down the corridor. Louise and Amanda movied down the corridor slowly. The sound had come from the bathroom - which had a seperate door from the main bedroom.
Louise reached for the handle and began slowly turning it - as she was halfway turning it, a huge bang came from behind the door, and it flung off it's hinges knocking Louise on the floor with a serious head bang. Louise opened her eye's and looked up as a claw of some sort came into view, she saw Amanda aiming her gun towards...whatever it was. Louise's eye's began to fade, and as she closed her eye's she began to think "am i dead?"

Amanda followed Louise up the stairs, and then into a bedroom, when she heard another noise. As she followed her into the bathroom, everything seemed to go quiet again. But just as quick as it left, she saw the door swing open and thrown her friend backwards onto the floor. "Sh*t sh*t sh*t!" Amanda blurted at the top of her lungs, quickly firing rounds toward the creature. Unloading five rounds in quick sucession, she jumped iside the bedroom, aiming the gun around the room until the monster was in sight again. It was moving, so she took the opportunity to rush to Louises side. The door hit her pretty hard, and couldve easily knocked her unconcious, and that might cause a problem for the both of them. "Hey, hey!... Stay with me!"
Amanda shook her shoulder, and then quickly checked back into the bedroom. But the creature no where to be seen, further complicating the problem. "Hold tight..." She wasnt sure if Louise could hear her, but hoped so. Amanda rushed back into the bedroom, looking around the room for the creature that she wounded moments ago, and found a blood trail leading into the hallway. Slowely following the blood while aiming the gun forward, she saw it dart across into another room infront of her, which scared her by the size of the feind. Trembling her hands and pacing into the dark room, she brushed her hand against the wall, searching for a light switch. After finally finding it, she flicked it up, as the room was illuminated.
The creature instantly jumped toward Amanda, as she backed up tightly against the wall, dropping Louises gun. It now stood infront of her, growling loudly as blood dripped from its large set of teeth. She yelled loudly, kicking the beast back into the room, and then ran down the hallway. Moments later, she was being chased, and found herself outmatched in speed. Reaching the end of the hallway, she sat down and covered her face, in any attempted to block the attack. But the sound of broken glass above her made her scream, as it was abruptly ended by a loud crash outside. The feind had missed its target, and was hurled out of the window, the fall killing it instantly when it hit the pavement driveway.
Amanda opened her eyes, and then stood up, looking out the window. The creature lay motionless, twisted legs, dead. She jumped up, and ran back to check on Louise. Stopping halfway through the hallway to grab her gun, she then quickly took a right inside the bathroom. Dropping the gun next to Louise, she then began to shake her again, anything to try and wake her up. When nothing work, Amanda sat down on the floor, and pushed herself up against the tub. All she could do now is wait and watch for her friend to regain conciousness, and hope that all the noise didnt attract any unwanted attention. Amanda spoke under her breath softly, or more like thinking out loud. "Im not going anywhere... Dont worry..."

During the blackness - Louise heard some loud crashes and bangs. It's all a dream...it's all a dream Louise told herself in her mind. Louise got a feeling that she was being carried...trying to wake up - yet she couldn't. The world fell silent, the cold air brushed passed her hair, the sun was shining and the hills were green. On top of one of the hills stood her mother - alive and well. Louise pushed her arm forward to try and reach her mother. Her mother pushed her arm forward and they touched each other...Louise suddenly heard a voice "Im not going anywhere... Dont worry..."
As these words repeated in Louise's mind, she found herself seperating from her mother - the white shinning teeth her mother carried started to fade - as did her mother. Louise was waking up, and it was becoming more hard to stay in her dream.
Louise's eye's opened, her head thumping and a slight ringing in her ears. Louise saw Amanda next to her. Louise sighed as she said "It wasn't a dream - this is really happening". Louise saw she was now in the bathroom and that darkness had fallen on London. The night seemed so relaxing, yet Louise knew that outside proberly held more horror's beyond her wildest dreams. Louise lifted her head and saw Amanda look at her with relief. "W-what time is it?" Louise asked...suddenly coming to terms with the fact that there was no way out of the nightmare.

Amanda pushed herself from the wall and onto her knees when Louise had woken up. She looked alive and well, only thing that might follow would be a headache for the next hour or so, but nothing perminant. There was no clock in the bathroom, or did she have a watch. But judging by the moonlight that cast in through thw window, "You were out a good couple of hours, its around 3am now..." Amanda looked back down the hallway through the door, and saw the broken shards of glass on the carpet from the window. A nice deep red trail of blood lined the path, as the crimson shown to end of the floor. "...And as for the monster that knocked you down, its dead..."
Amanda really needed to find a weapon of her own, she couldnt rely on others to do the work for herself. Louise had two guns, and by the looks of things, she was used to carrying the both of them. If someone learns a technique like dual weilding weapony, they would probably have a tricky time adjusting to using just one handgun with both hands accurately. All Amanda needed was a blunt object, and she could prove to be great backup for close range combat. Ontop of that, she would prefer not to use guns, as they were loud, and she was always worried about wasting others ammo. She looked back at Louise, and then saw that she was bleeding from her forehead. Grabbing a cloth from the tub edge behind her, she tossed it onto Louises lap. "Clean yourself up, its gonna be a long night... Do you have anything I could use as a weapon in this house?"

Louise touched her head slightly, Amanda was right - the blood spilled down Louise's face. She quickly dried the blood and got to her feet. The room seemed to spin, until Louise caught herself in the mirror. Louise stared at her teary face in the mirror - "I look like sh*t" she muttered as she wiped away the blood from her head.
Louise turned to Amanda - "Erm...yeah...you need to head to the kitchen, and their should be a knife in one of the drawer's." Louise turned back to the mirror and began washing her face. As she saw the bloody water get washed down the sink, she realised that her Mother's time on the earth must've been up. She wasn't a zombie, she hadn't been murdered - maybe she gave up trying? God knows, but her Father was still out there. Maybe her Father killed her Mother? The thought left a tight knot in Louise's stomach. Louise fixed her hair and wished she had her hair straightners with her, the thought of doing something girly made Louise think of the time when the world was sane. The days when she would set off to work and come home to find her parents here sat around the dinner table were gone. It was time for Louise to face facts - the time of the humans was over.
Louise headed back downstairs to find Amanda in the kitchen. She smiled "Any luck?"

When Louise had said that there were probably knives downstairs in the kitchen, Amanda was thankful that she could finally get her hands on something to edfend herself with. But leaving the room, she looked at Louise, she seemed to have a lot on her mind. Amanda wasnt really sure if she had gotten used to the fact that life have changed, and not for the better, but she was already used to it. As she walked down the stairs, she glanced inside the living before turning to the kitchen, but upon seeing Louises mother made her realise it was a bad idea. Quickly stepping inside the kitchen now, she walked over to one of the drawers and opened it up, reveiling a collection eating utensils.
The majority of which wouldnt be useful for combat, or self defence for any matter, but she would certainly be able to salvage what she needed. Amanda rooted through a number of different drawers, picking out different blades, and setting them on top of the counter. She found a decent chopping knife, three fillet knives, and two shorter broad steels. Her jeans belt could hold these no problem, and if she angled them back, she would still be able to move her legs without them digging into her thigh. As soon as Louise came down the stairs, Amanda looked at her when she asked if she had any luck. Amanda looked at her, she nodded several times, as she began to load up her belt with knives. "Itll have to do... So, anywheres else you need to go on our list?"

Louise glanced around the small kitchen - it appeared that the kitchen was one place which remained spotless. She sat on one of the kitchen counters and started to relax more. She looked towards Amanda. "Erm...not too sure. We could do with going to a place where the infection has not reached yet. But the airports will be full and we caused that scene before".
Louise searched deep in her mind to find a place which may of been safe - or to remind herself of anywhere she wanted to check before planning to leave the country. Their wasn't. Louise's father was still in her mind - if he was alive, where would he hold up all this time? He proberly wasn't as her Mother was always much stronger than her father, so he'd proberly be dead too. But was he?
Louise realised that why she was in thought, Amanda was still waiting for an answer. "No, there's no where i need to go now. We need to get out of London.". As Louise spoke, she saw a bunch of letters on the floor. She jumped down from the counter and picked one up. It was addressed to her parents on the 21st September. Louise noticed it had been ripped open - she pulled out the letter and read it carefully.
"Dear Mr and Mrs Backturn, We are sad to inform you that your time working with our company is now over. You will lose your house, your car and all your products which you bought with the companies money. Please note that someone will be around to take back the house and all it's items. You must be gone by the time someone gets there. Thank You"
Louise placed the letter down, there was no company symbol. The letter seemed like a casual threat rather than a company warning. She showed the letter to Amanda - her head racing with thoughts as to what her parents were up to. "What could this mean?" she said to Amanda as she glanced at the letter.

Amanda glanced out of the window again, looking at destruction spead around the city. It certainly wasnt as bad as Raccoon, but it reminded her of the hell. Getting out of London seemed like an idea, but in all honest thinking, it would be safer inside the place. It was still collective, people still had refuge buildings made, barricades blocked the main streets, it was much safer. Louise would know this, too. They had a much better chance staying in London then anywheres else, at least one of them knew the area like the back of their hand. Then Amanda was handed the letter, and she looked at it puzzled. She unfolded the paper, and turned it upright.
Amanda read the letter through twice in her head, each time paying close attention to the symbol at the bottem of the page. It was the familler red and white octagonal shape, The Umbrella Corperation. Just hearing the words in her head boiled her blood, and she had to put the letter down. Amanda knew what was happening in the letter. She spoke out loud, with no uncertainty, she figured it all made too much sense. "Umbrella was going down, and they knew it from the start.... So they wanted to take whatever they could down with it..." Amanda looked back at Louise, and wondered if she even knew about Umbrella. Surely she mustve, it seemed to be in her family. But she knew that the employees were just getting orders, they werent the ones to blame for Raccoon City. "You... Know about Umbrella, right?"

Louise listened to Amanda - Umbrella?, the name did seem to ring familiar with Louise's ears. She remembered her Mother and Father working for some "top secret" company when they went to the USA. She also remembered the piece of paper she'd discovered in her Father's office in Raccoon City. "The name rings a bell. Was it a Company?" Louise spoke softly. Her mind still questioning the letter which her parents would've received.
As silence fell on the room Louise heard the ghostly groans coming from outside the somewhere. It sounded far away, but it soon came to Louise that they wouldn't be safe in the house if it wasn't secure. Louise was thinking of a plan. Why not board up the place. It sounded so movie-like it just might work. Louise's eye's began to search to room for pieces of wood which she could barricade the windows with. "Amanda, i think that we should board up the place. What do you think? Those creatures will gather soon, and with no protection they can easily just walk in here." Louise's eyes met Amanda's as she awaited a reply.

"Yes..." Amanda nodded in agreement that Umbrella was a company, and not a very good one at that. But before more could be said, she also heard the undead prowling outside. Getting this place boarded up would be easier said then done, they would need to act fast, and use the materials they could gather in so little time. Amanda grabbed the edge of a coffee table in the living room, and flipped it onto its side against the wall. With a few good kicks, she knocked the legs right off of it, and dragged the sturdy top against the window. "Ill get the barricades ready, you see what you can find for support... A power drill with some screws, or even a hammer and nails would do it, get something!"
The second Louise left the room, Amanda got to work gathering more strong boards and the like to protect the entrances of the house. Dragging the whole couch against the door, it would serve great protection alone, and could be removed if they needed to make a getaway. Going back into the kitchen, she did the same with the kitchen table, onto this was a little bigger and took more time being dragged into the living room. After blocking the windows at the front of the house, she piled up all of the legs on the floor. They could be used as weapons, or even more support for the barricades if worst came to worst. Now she just had to work on the back side of the house, where it seemd to be a lot less full of ways the zombies could get in easily.
Seeing a bed, she flipped the matress over against the window, and then jammed it up tightly with the bedframe against it. She didnt bother going upstairs, as the infected obviously couldnt climb, and anything else that could climb would breaking the barricades, so she quickly got that thought out of her head. Amanda could hear the zombie getting closer and closer to the house, and some of them were even banging on the siding at the moment. Going back into the living room to grab another table to block off the last window, she knocked it over, spilling odds and ends onto the floor. A large roll of heavy duty tape caught her eye, as she picked up the roll and jammed it in her pocket.
After dragging the table against the window, Amanda ran back into the living room and grabbed a table leg. Kneeling down onto the floor, she unsheathed the bulky cleaver from her belt, and dropped it onto the floor. Pulling out the roll of tape, she positioned the cleaver onto the end of the table leg, and then wrapped the whole roll around both of the materials. The result was a makeshift spear, which she hoped would be capable of reaching zombies from a safe distance away. Tossing the empty roll to the side, she got to her feet, and swung the spear around, getting a feel for how effective it would be. By the time she was through with her little craft, Amanda could hear Louise already banging away at some of the barricades, reinforcing them even more.

Louise retreated back into the kitchen and opened looked to the right counter. She opened the third drawer nearest to the wall and reached for the hammer. Her hand shuffled some of the empty bags out of the way - no nails. Louise saw Amanda placing the boards against the windows and doors as Louise searched. She went into the small dinning area and reached for one of her Father's work desk's. She opened the draws and found a small pot of nails, she grabbed them and entered the living room.
Amanda had done a good job. Louise began using the nails to secure the barricades more, as the sound of the hammer banging echoed through the house, Louise heard more moans - more zombies? Maybe if they keep gathering they'll break in and... don't think that like! Louise told herself. Louise moved onto the main front window and began banging the hammer against it. She saw Amanda re-enter the room looking busy - the turn around stopped Lousie and as she held her hand on the barricade, she felt it pushing open. Two arms appeared in as the board began to fall. Louise's hands grabbed the board before it hit her in face, she began pushing it back towards the window - it was difficult as the creatures arms, still grabbing for something were blocking the way.
Louise let the board go - the zombie was a butcher, his white coat - now red with blood. A part of his cheek missing showing bloody flesh. Louise aimed her gun at his forehead and BAAAM!. The butcher fell back - as he did, Louise saw 5 ...6 zombies now across the road. She lifted the board back up and began banging the hammer against it.
Once Louise finished with boarding the front of the house, she returned to the back to continue boarding their. Louise thought about the once-beautiful-house she grew up in. Now it was a sanctuary from the Devil's undead army. How did this happen?

Amanda saw Louise pass her by into the back parts of the house, as she heard more zombies begin to gather around the house. Looking through the small cracks in the boards, she say that they were bunching together in groups. Thats when she had an idea, and hoped that she could find the right things in the kitchen. Amanda rushed to the cubberts and closets, and then finally came across a few bottles of flammable clearning solution. Grabbing all four them, she ran upstairs to the windows overlooking the front of the house. Opening the window, she then untwisted the caps off each bottle, and poured the contents below, scattering it across the large group. Then pulling a lighter out from her pocket, she froze, looked at the initials.
LB, she remembered that it was Logans lighter he had given to her years ago. As she lit the empty bottles on fire, she dropped them onto the infected below, seeing each of them being engulfed in a sea of flames. Before long, they would fall to the ground motionless and chared black, as the thick smoke filled the sky above the house. Not only did it effectively work as a weapon to the zombies, it would double as a defensive wall if more of them should show up through the night. Amanda ran back downstairs, and then pointed victoriously at the thin line of smoke seeping in through the cracks of the barricade. "Yeah! They didnt know what hit em!" Amanda chuckled out loud, mainly at the fact that she was starting to act like Logan...
