Malcom listened intently to the information being given out, the new girl was potentially a Sincell weapon, wanting to hide it and their boss would likely put a bullet in her rather than talk things over.
"Rio, any chance you could bury that info for now?"
He put his rifle down on the desk and started dismantling it for a cleaning. Taking a small kit from the drawer.
"The way I see it, she's got a lot of useful intel we could use. and eventually Art might trust her enough to help her get her own life after this is over, then maybe we can save all the unpleasantness for a deathbed confession."

“Screw that, I’ll take this to my grave.” Daniel said from his bed. He was on his back, his hands behind his bed to prop his head up a bit higher. He was a firm believer that, as long as the boss didn’t know, it couldn’t hurt them. He was pretty sure the fact that a certain person only had an hour or so to live wouldn’t deter her from killing them.
He had to agree with Rio. Elijha was infected, but she wasn’t a monster. Art and a lot of others would see her as one, but she had saved them back in the bunker. That proved she was human in Daniel’s eyes.
“Seems like there’s only one way to do this. This talk never happened, you get it? We don’t know any of this, just like you don’t.” He said, looking at Rio. “You never sat in my chair.” He said to Malcolm. “You never sat on my bed.” He said to Rio. “We didn’t even share the same air.” He said. It may have sounded like he was being a bit paranoid, but he always was when it came to hiding things from people he knew he could trust. It was never fun, and the best thing he could do was try to forget. Even though it would never happen…

Elijha sniffed a bit as she looked at Malcom and Daniel. "Really?" she asked lightly before looking at Rio who nodded slightly. "Thank you," she said lightly as she wiped the tears from her eyes. She sat down on the bed beside Rio and let out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry for causing so much problems. I don't want to get anyone in trouble," she said lightly. It was then that she felt Rio's arm around her. She looked up into the woman's smiling face and smiled in return "Thank you," she repeated.
"Everything I have blocked on the computers that retrains to the viral experiments. What Art knows is what you believed for all of your life. At the age of 5 you were diagnosed with a rare skin diseases known as X.P. Don't expect me to say the name 'cuz I can't pronounce it. Then at the age of 10 you were diagnosed with a rare blood disorder becoming a hemophiliac. You were secluded to your home during the day home schooled. Your parents were killed in a car accident then on your 18th birthday your care taker and her boyfriend were killed in a car accident. This was when your real father stepped forward offering you safety. Once you truly found out the truth he locked you away. You managed to find your way to break into the outside world, and everything else is evident," she explained. Rio stood up and walked to the door. "Guys get some sleep. Elijha your staying with me since Riko took the liberty of finding another room mate," she said as she nodded toward the others.
"Thank you again," Elijha said before following Rio out of the room. She followed her down the hall to her own room. Watching Riko and his knew room mate leave the Rio with the rest of his things. Riko never even seemed to acknowledge Rio in any way. "Is everything okay?" she asked looking at Rio. She just shook her head and motioned her into the room.

Daniel laid back down on his bed when Elijha and Rio left. He looked over at Malcolm and sighed.
“You think we can keep this from her?” He asked, speaking of Art. She was always one to call bulls*** on any given topic. She also knew how they acted, knew if they did anything out of the ordinary. It wasn’t going to be easy.
He reached over to his table, grabbing a bottle of water. He suddenly had a bad case of cotton mouth. “This wont end well.” He said. He knew it.

Suddenly there was a 'ping' over the intercom as the locomotive slowed down Griffons voice came over the skeapers with a playful tone. "I would like to ask all passangers to put their tray tables up and place your seats into a full upright position. Please observe the no smoking signs and report to the second car for a mission briefing. With that said Griffon jump out of the front engien car and headed for the briefing room. Once everyone had gathered he pressed a few buttons on a remote and the map of an island came on the overhead screen.
"This is Sheena Island. Arc Thomson, an agent working with Leon Kennedy discovered this island as an Umbrella facility for the mass production of Tyrants. He then highlighted the outer regions outside the main summit of the mountain. "This island is rather unique. Surrounding the mountain is an artificial city. This city was designed to keep the residence occupied which consisted of teenagers recovered from third world countries. While the teens were busy enjoying their new lives, they werre plucked up one by one for experimentation. Umbrella removed the pituitary gland in their brains to aquire the vital organ to give the tyrants their overwhelming power. He then grimmased. "They opperated on them alive according to Arc's spotty report." He then brought up the image of Arc Thomsan.
Working for the FBI, he contracted a disease leaving the island and only managed to reveal minor information and hand over a fist full of documents. After 'cleansing' the infected island all information about the island was destroyed fearing someone else would find the island which the Sincell now has. Rumor has it before the fall of Shena Island they were working on a new Tyrant spliced with the T-Veronica virus. I can't even begin to concider how deadly such a creature would be but it is the perfect creation for the Sincell to convert themselves into before the global cleansing they have been speaking of.
"After Billy sent us intel that the Sincell was heading their we sent in a team. However the anti-aircraft missle system was still active and shot down the chopper. One special agent and two soldiers survived hoever only one seems to be in contact. A hacker and genetic researcher by the name of Charlie has made his way to the factory on the top of the summet. Currently he has controll of the security system and is using it to slow the progression of the enemy up the island. He won't be able to hold out much longer. Our job is to travel in by boat, annialate the current Sincell and create a defence parimiter while sabatoging the facility and destroying all research." He then looked at his watch. Our boat leaves in 2 hours. Time to get suited up."

"I think we got good odds. I don't think it counts as us hiding anything if she doesn't ask in the first place. Just do the job she hired us for and leave it at that."
After the talk the intercom called the group in for a briefing, Griffin gave them all the details of the mission. Malcom grabbed one of the intel folders in the middle of the table and thumbed through it, unfortunatly most of the preliminary details were missing due to Arc's bout of amnesia, even the during mission details were sketchy, he couldn't decide if he'd been confronted by the island commander Goldman, a UBCS leader or a mad gunman before his encounter with the a tyrant.
"Okay, so from what little Arc was able to give, the base may have a mutated plant outbreak. I recommend everyone grab a filter mask and pack extra antitoxin in the medkits." The next page had a picture of a set of SWAT style armour in a purple puddle. "and sweepers too, so our gunfight odds just went up."
He got to the last part of the intel about a Tyrant production factory, with photos of several mass produced T-103's in their green trenchcoats. "Dan, might want to pack extra explosives, thermite or something that kills good in case we run into these things, and the Hypnos breed, any chance those things are still around?"

Art looked at Griffin, and nodded slightly before she stepped forward. "Alright there are several of you going, but this basically to keep communication going between those on the island as well as us. We already know our radio range doesn't reach but so far. Not to mention this gives those on the island a quick extraction if needed," she pointed out. She pulled out a file that held Elijha's name on it. Elijha on the other hand flinched slightly when she seen the file in Art's hand. Rio on the other hand patted her leg as she sat next to her, to give her some reassurance. "Alright . . . Elijha your going to earn you keep on this train till we get you some place secure. Right now your going with Daniel, Malcom, Riko and Rio to the island. Rio I want you to go encase your skills are needed . . . Elijha can you fight?" Elijha nodded slightly. "Fire a weapon?" Again she nodded. "Good, then your job is to protect Rio. That way Daniel, Malcom and Riko can focus more on the mission at hand," she pointed out. Looking at her watch she looked at Griffin to see if he had anything to add. "Alright, your free. Be at the boat in one hour."
Rio followed everyone out and pulled Elijha to the side. "You okay?" she asked looking at the pale face of the young woman. Elijha nodded slightly before letting out a sigh of relief. "Good. I told you everything was covered. The only reason she would know is if one of us said something, and I don't believe we will. Those guys are good guys. Lets go get you ready," she said as she motioned for her to head down the hall.

“Naw, I’m thinking phosphorus.” Daniel said in response to Malcolm. White phosphorus, burned at a thousand or so degrees, stuck to a surface or person like glue. Perfect for the plants. He’d need a good bundle of C4 if he wanted to sabotage anything the right way. The right way being screwing things up so bad it was easier to move to a new location rather than fix up that one. Guns and extra ammo for a firefight situation, probably another weapon.
His thoughts were shattered when he heard Art say Elijha was coming with them. f**k… He was all for helping someone out, even go as far as to keep a secret from friends, but taking her with them into a very hostile environment? He didn’t like it. She’d saved them sure, but if she was instable in any way she could end up getting them killed. Maybe kill them herself if she went over the edge in a big way.
He swallowed anything he may have had to say about it, fearing if he did Art would take an interest as to why he was against it, and walked to the armory. He grabbed his regular equipment and the ammo for it. He took double the amount of C4 he usually did. Better safe than sorry. His pistols and knives, the M4 used, and looked around for another weapon. The armory was extensive, but he didn’t know what would come in handy. A shotgun probably wouldn’t be needed. He had an M4, an assault carbine. It was made for close quarters. In that case, something with a very long range would seen good. They were going to be on an island, a lot of long range open areas. He settled on a sniper‘s rifle, an M40A5. A Remington 700 made to military specification, the newest feature the inclusion of removable magazines. He grabbed five ten round magazines and loaded them with his other gear. He loaded the rifle and slung it across his shoulder tightly. He topped it off with the white phosphorus grenades he had been talking about earlier, along with a few fragmentation grenades. He had no idea where the AFDS got their explosives, but he didn’t want to ask.
He overheard the chatter between Elijha and Rio but ignored it. He walked out to the boat and decided he’d have a seat near there until it was time to leave.

Griffon approached Dan as he entered the armory holding the mag-rifle. The gun was a massive rifle, about 4 and a half feet and bulky. "I worked on the rifle you found. There were some problems. The magnetic drive was hardwired straight into the freaks bodies using their own nerve charges to fire the weapon. It took some work but I managed to jerry-rig it so that it would draw power from this car battery on the back. Still, it sucks juice and will only give maybe ten shots between charges. ---I wasn't sure who wanted to gun, mikey or scorpio so the person who asked for it is the one he approached.---
After placing the rifle down he began suiting up after which he got some strange looks. "What? I'm combat ready too." Putting on a ammo harness he smirked. "And if you guys screw up like you did bringing back Billy half dead I'm the one that has to deal with the wrath of Art. You can leave her, I can't." From his locker he then pulled down his tommygun and a few barrels. Next he grabbed three pinaple grenades and a magnum revolver. "Gotta love the classics." He then went to the second car and opened the door and jumped out. It was down and he could just see the coast from there position
"The towns completely abandoned after those T-Sharks infested the waters. Couldn't catch any fish so the whole place went under. We won't meet any resistance."

Rio watched as Griffon walked out of the room. She didn't even realize that he was going to be comming with. "Damn," she groaned slightly before turning to Malcom and Elijha. "This is going to be harder than I thought," she said lightly as she gathered up the basics for herself.
"Should tell Art," Riko said as he finished strapping on his vest. "She'll eventually find out . . . Elijha's not like hidding a mouse from mom and dad. To big, and to unstable," he pointed out. Picking up his weapons as he headed for the door. "Griffon is Art's right hand man. He'll tell her everything. I mean a mouse is one thing . . . a monster . . . well that's a whole different story."
Rio seen the tears swelling up in Elijha's eyes before putting a hand on her shoulder. "Elijha is not a monster . . . and what has gotten into you?" she asked with a bit of concern. "Look if you have an issue with this why don't you stay behind." Riko shrugged his shoulders and walked out of the room. Rio growled a bit. "What an ass." She turned to Elijha and started helping her get her gear on, and then stopped. "You can't be exposed to the sun right?" she asked.
"Right . . . that's why I carry around this coat," she said as she held up the led weighted coat. "Mom said it kept the UV rays from affecting me."
Rio laughed as she shook her head. She walked out of the room for a moment, and returning with a set of cloths. "X.P. doesn't work like that. Your skin can't have direct contact with the sun. Gamma rays and all that doesn't affect it. It's the harsh light that affects you," she said as she tossed Elijha a change of cloths. "Put those on. I bet you'd feel more comfortable."
Elijha wondered off into the dressing room returning in a more combat attire. The black bdu pants which she tucked into her boots, and the long sleeve bdu shirt. "Your right, it does feel more comfortable, but what about my face and my hands?"
"Easy," Rio said as she handed over a hoodie, sunglasses, and gloves. "Put those on. You know . . ." she said as she picked up the jacket and tested it out. "Wearing this all the time. I bet your able to move a lot quicker than other people. An I mean without the virus. You lost lost 75 pounds in one sitting." She looked up at Elijha when she was done, and smiled. "Perfict, now you look like a ninja," she said with a laugh. She finished helping her get all her gear on. "Coming Malcom?" she asked as she lead Elijha out of the room to meet the others.

Malcom made sure to bump Riko's shoulder as he left the room, shooting him a quick glare before following the other two to the armory to select specialised gear. He stocked up a loading cart with some ammo boxes and large first aid kits to load the boat with. Before grabbing a pair of large spearguns.
"If we're going over water I want to be prepared for sharks. The pressure on these babies have been rigged enough to blow a golf ball through a garden hose." He added some custom spears to the cart. "Not to mention the wounds these bard tips will make."
Next he grabbed some miniture filters and gave one to each member. "Mutant plants mean poison spores about 90% of the time, if so much as a blade of grass looks you the wrong way, everyone plug these on." He made sure to add double antitoxin to the first aid kits.
"Hey Dan, you want to get the kids here" Malcom indicated Rio and Elijah. "Some decent ammo picked out? Maybe something that makes a fat exit wound?"

“And don’t forget the fact that if a blade of grass actually looked at you, your probably past the point of being helped by a gas mask.” Daniel said as he loaded the last crate onto the boat. He did like to mess with Malcolm. Seemed like he set himself up for it over and over again. Either that or Daniel had a quick wit. Naw, that couldn’t be it.
He heard the engineer ask about getting ammo and smirked, walking over to a few ammo crates marked with stickers.
“Exit wounds are a thing of the past my skinny friend.” Daniel said. He popped open the latches on the crate and lifted the top off. Inside were rounds of various caliber, all of them placed in plastic trays. The bullet on each round was filed into, making an X shape. He pulled out a round to show them.
“Where’s Vanna White when you need her. Anyway. Each of these rounds have been sawn into ever so slightly.” He said, and looked at the group. “Well what’d you think I was doing alone in my room all that time?” He asked. “Don’t answer that.” He added quickly. “Anyway. The cuts weakens the structure of the bullet and causes an explosive fragmentation when it hits. Big favorite of gang bangers. In a human, for comparison, expect organs to burst and bones to shatter. There is also no danger of the round passing through and hitting something or someone behind.” He said. He had already loaded up with the rounds.
“Here, load them up.” He said, handing Rio a tray of .45 rounds. He went to the racks and started looking for a weapon for Elijha. It was kind of difficult. He didn’t know her experience or knowledge. Something simple would probably be good. High caliber too. She was certainly strong enough to handle it. He settled on a Glock 21 for her. He also fished around the miscellaneous equipment and found something that would have been handy to have back at the compound. He tossed the small cylinder to Malcolm, and then one to Rio and Elijha. He grabbed one more and put it in a pocket for Riko later.
“Put those on your guns and don’t take them off.” He said about the sound suppressors. They’d have saved a lot of time and effort if they could have all remained unheard instead of just him.

Once everything was loaded up he slammed shut the doors and tied everything down. "We're pulling a smokey and the bandit." He said taking off his shirt revealing a wetsuit. "They're watching. There's no doubt in my mind." He then pointed at the jetsky just down the beach. "I'll be taking that. You're job is to head straight for the island. I'm going to be taking down whatever reers its ugly head, man or other." Opening the comparment inside the jetski, he placed his gear and cloths. He then pulled out a Cheng Feng submachine gun. 100 round tube...it would be hard to reload while steering. Unfortunately the gun was neither strong or reliable, but it fired. Turning the key he revved the engien. "Once you're out I'll follow."

Malcom finished up checking the cargo was secure, yet easy to get if it was needed, he'd rather not have to dig through everything to get at the ammo if they were ambushed, especially after Griffon pointing out that Sincell might be already aware of them.
"I'm starting to hate hearing that. The goosesteppers always seem to be one step ahead on the intel. We should really start working on our own secrets to hide from them."
He accepted the silencer from Daniel, screwing it onto his rifle as he watched Griffon head off to his jetski.
"Huh, he gets his own ride and we don't, you ever worry we're becoming side characters in someone elses story?"
