The Grand Canyon is one of the deepest points of dry land in the world. Carved out of solid stone by the Colorado River over the course of six billion years, it is about 277 miles (466 km) long, ranges in width from between 4 and 18 miles long (6.4 to 29 km), and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km). Undead wander around the edges and the bottom, and you cant look anywhere without seeing the grease spot that was once a zombie who wandered off the edge.

The word of a gathering of outlaws at an abandoned bar near the Grand Canyon spread like wild fire amoungst the people who either try to avoid these people, try to stop these people to try and make everything the way it was before, or are one of them. The word of one of the bike gang leaders getting eaten by a creature was the first part. Word that his well sought after bike was up for grabs is what got Jake's attention. Most don't survive by walking, and Jake was tired of the half broken down cars that he would steal to get around. The way to get the bike was never said amongst anyone, it was as closely guarded a secret as to where the President of the United States was during the outbreaks. The people who survived each day in the world made the laws.
The bar was lit up and the area could be seen from miles, yet they didn't worry about security. The only way to the bar was from a single road, which had more guards and patrols than any city being protected at the moment. The sound of music was audible from quiet a far distance away, as with the sound of many motors revving for show. The bar was probably one of the most dangerous, yet, somehow, one of the safest places in America at the moment.
Jake approached the bar in a beat up old car. As he got closer, he was stopped by a few patrols asking where he was going and when he answered, why he was here. He pulled up to the bar and parked behind a few bikes and a car. The car looked as beat up as the one Jake drove in. Some of the bikes looked like garbage but they must have run well, but most looked pretty good. There was an eighteen wheeler with a flat bed set up with some of the biggest speakers Jake had seen since before the outbreak. The bike everyone wanted was on the bed of the truck. It was black with the typical Harley wording and design on the side. It has some bags on the side and a shotgun in a holster on the side of the bike. There was something that couldn't be seen from the outside but the bike had some of the most raw power a bike could have and some added enhancements. There was a man waiting on the stage, checking every so often for the time from one of the guys who were sitting on the roof of the truck.
Jake walked amongst the crowd, some of the guys gave him the look questioning why he was there, while most of the women looked at him with interest. He seemed out of place, yet belonged with them more than most of the guys there did. Most of the guys were probably all show Jake thought as he walked amongst the mostly biker outlaws. Soon enough it was time to start.
The music stopped and the man on the bed of the truck grabbed a microphone and started to talk. "Well all of you f**kers should know why you are here. The bike of Big Ed is up for grabs after his, um, accident. Now I know all of you don't know how you get this beautiful machine. Well that is why I am here. Fight for it. No guns, knives, swords, axes, whatever you crazy a**holes may want to use as a weapon, don't or we will kill you ourselves. It is an open fight, free for all, last man wanting to keep going gets the bike. So guys, impress your ladies, don't give up too quickly, and ladies if you want in, you are as much a target as one of the guys." At that most of the bigger guys who were sitting, got up and started towards a few of the other guys.
They thought that their size would make a lot not want to fight. It worked since some of the smaller guys backed away and went for their car. Jake was part of the crowd that seemed surrounded by the bigger guys, but Jake just stood there. Most of the normal sized guys started at the big guys, hoping that numbers would beat size. None of the women jumped in to the fight seeing as most had a guy fighting already. All of the guys were fighting but it seemed a few had wanted to target Jake. Jake saw the two look at each other then at Jake and started towards him.
One of the two attacked Jake first. The guy had a long scar down his face and what looked like a scar from a bite on his neck. Jake just grabbed the man's fist before it reached it's target and hit him with his free hand. The punch landed perfectly on the man's jaw, knocking him out with ease. The other man saw this and attacked. The man didn't stand a chance. Jake dodged the flurry of punches and then landed one right in the guy's gut, knocking the air out of him and dropping him to the ground. This caught the attention of a giant of a man. Jake looked around and saw that the numbers had only dwindled a little. The big man ran at Jake and he had to move fast. The man grabbed at Jake, pulling Jake's leather jacket off. His sleeve tattoos showing to all and his plain black t-shirt with a few rips and holes was better suited since now it would be hard to grab Jake. Jake turned to the big guy who seemed angered that he had Jake's jacket and not the man who wore it. Jake kicked at the big man, hitting him in the knee with his steel toe boot. The large man buckled but didn't go down. Jake kicked him again in the same knee, making the man drop down to eye level. Jake then started to lay away on the big man's face with his fists. The big man took the hits for a few seconds, but that was enough to draw blood from the man's mouth and nose, and blacken one of his eyes. The big man pushed Jake away. The sound of gun shots were audible over the loud heavy metal music. It seemed one of the men pulled out a weapon. Jake didn't turn around to see what happened, he just continued to work on the big guy.
The guy guy stood up after pushing Jake away to start swinging at Jake. Jake easily out manuvered the lumbering man. Jake dropped to one knee and landed a devistating forearm to the man's knee, breaking it and making the man fall back to the ground. Jake stood over the man for a second, as the man pleaded for Jake to stop, before Jake kicked the man to the ground to lay there in pain. There seemed to be only a few bigger guys left to the hand full of average sized guys. The average sized guys seemed to still be teamed up against the bigger guys but weren't doing as well a job as they were hoping. The bigger guys seemed to be able to take a beating while the other guys were out with one or two punches. One of the bigger guys punched the last guy attacking him, knocking him out. The guy saw Jake and started towards him. Jake saw this and charged at the man. They both charged at each other, reaching back to deliver a catastrophic punch. Unfortunately both punches hit their mark, Jake's hit the guy in the face, while the bigger man's fist hit Jake's face. Jake stumbled back, blood running from his mouth, looking at the big guy who was stumbling also. The bigger guy's nose had started to flow a constant stream of blood from Jake breaking his nose. The man's eyes were watering and his attention was all focused on Jake when the half a dozen average sized guys came and jumped Jake and the big guy. Jake's fighting skills didn't go unnoticed by the others, so he was as much a target as the big guy. The six guys split up evenly to beat on the two. One of them holding the threat while two others wailed away on them. Jake tried to break the grasp first before lifting both feet at the same time hitting both guys in their genitals, while throwing the guy who was holding him still off balance. The two fell to the ground and Jake threw his head back breaking the guy's nose in the process. The guy grabbed at his nose releasing Jake as he went after the three guys who were teaming up on the big guy.
One of the two guys throwing the punches turned just as Jake had thrown the punch at him. The punch connected knocking the guy to the ground. Jake then grabbed the other guy throwing the punches by his head and shoved him to the ground. The big guy used this time to break free of the hold that has put on him to keep him still. The big guy turned around and connected a massive blow to the man's chest knocking him to the ground, moaning in pain. The fight had just switched sides. The two average sized guys looked at each other before running in the opposite direction. Jake turned to the big guy and waited a second. The big guy put out his hand as a show of appreciation. Jake took it, then went into a fighting stance. The big guy looked at Jake and nodded. Jaked kicked at the man's knee as he had done before. The blow landed, knocking the guy to one knee. Jake now towered over the man and drew back to throw a punch but the bigger man gave up.
At that moment the music cut out and the man with the microphone spoke up again. "Holy f**king Hell! That was absolutely worth any amount of money. I guess this guy gets Big Ed's bike guys. This guy obviously earned it. I haven't seen fighting like that since Big Ed was alive."
The sun was starting to rise and some of the wounded were being carried away, Jake looked around and saw the man who tried to pull a weapon out in the fight. Two shots in the chest and one in his head. Jake was immediately surrounded by some of the women and was motioned to come up onto the bed of the truck. Jake looked at two of the girls, put his arm around one of them and then headed up to the truck.
"What's your name man?" asked the man on the truck
"Jake" answered Jake simply.
Jake continued up onto the bed of the truck, helped the girl onto the bed with him. He looked at the man on the bed of the truck, held out his hand waiting for the keys to the bike. The man handed over the keys, there was only one key on it with an eightball keychain. Jake sat down on the bike watched as the girl sat behind him and then started the bike. The engine roared like no other bike he had ever heard, which made him smirk that it was now his bike. He drove it off the bed of the truck down the makeshirft ramp. No one seemed to be leaving, but Jake had what he came for and started toward the road along the Grand Canyon.

Tired and dehydrated, Vincent Myers had caught a lead that his parents were in Arizona experimenting on various subjects. The desert had taken its toll on Vince as he stumbled upon what seemed to be an abandoned Warehouse. He readied his Beretta M92 handgun and prepared to kick in the door. The Warehouse was slightly illuminated by the sun; Vince kicked in the door and quickly scanned the room. The first room was filled with dusty bags, garden tools, and blood. There were two doors in front of Vince and one on his left and right. The side doors were locked from the other side, the doors in front of him were opened so he entered the right one. Vince was now in a larger room with not so much stuff but more blood and corpses; a bad feeling rose in Vince.
Determined to find some kind of liquid Vince pressed onward into the door at the far side of the room. An empty room, there was nothing but a discolored square in the middle of the floor. He examined it closely to find a small handle that blended in. Vince vigorously pulled at the handle and got the hatch to open. Stairs led into a vat of darkness, Vince followed the path into the basement-like area. Tables were perfectly lined in the small room. They all had what seemed like advanced experimental tools scattered amongst them. A computer was in one corner of the room but its screen had been smashed and the wires cut. A loud crash shook the room as the hatch slammed close above Vince.
"No! I'm still down here!" Footsteps shuffled away as Vince tried to open the hatch, but it was no use.
"Great, stuck in a fu*king basement." A voice shattered the silence.
"Hey there, nice of you to stumble into my house." The voice came from an intercom.
"Let me out of here a**hole!" The man didn't reply. "God damn it! Let me out of here!" Vince slammed his fist against the intercom, breaking the red light.
A loud click echoed the room and Vince went to check the hatch, it was unlocked. He climbed up the stairs, sprinted back to the first room, and took the door in the front on the left. The room was long, there were stairs to the left and a long hallway to the right. Vince went up the stairs and entered the first door. It was a small room with a set of computer screens, it resembled a control room. A vest lay on one of the chairs, Vince examined the vest. The vest was black and it had a golden patch on the back with a lion inscribed in the middle; the same as the medal on Vince's custom undershirt's right shoulder.
"Father..." A man sprinted from Vince's left while knocking down a set of lockers, he shot out the door. Vince set into action with what little energy he had left and sprinted towards the man. He followed him through a corridor and eventually hit the warehouse interior. It was a large room with many shelves scattered and thrown around the room. A pool of blood was in the middle of the room and a garage door at the far side.
"You shouldn't have followed me, now I get to test my new pet! Hahaha!" The man spoke over the loudspeaker from a room near the ceiling watching over me; Vince realized he didn't have enough energy to keep up with the man. The garage door opened and out came a blood red haze.
"What is this!?" The man continued to laugh maniacally, Vince shouldered his Remington 1100 and prepared for the worst. A large, hulking deformity came stumbling out from the blood red haze. Its arms were long and spear-like, it had small feet but its upper body was immense. Vince stood awestruck at the product of the mad man's experimentation, even though he didn't have energy he knew he'd die if he didn't move. The monstrosity threw it's arm at Vince, Vince jumped out of the way and ran to a nearby shelf. The monster hulked around as Vince maneuvered around it. Vince had fought mutated monsters before and he knew the weak spots of most. He climbed up one of the shelves and fired his Remington into the monsters orangish cavity near its scalp. It screeched as it fell backward and collapsed on the floor, shaking the room. Vince fell off the shelf and the glass in the mad man's window shattered from the monsters screech.
"That's impossible, my baby cannot die! No!" The monsters arm finally came down with him and knocked the mad man out of his window; he fell to the floor and limped away. The monster twitched rapidly, it wasn't dead, Vince sprinted for the door behind him.
Vince, still sprinting for the exit, stumbled upon a small room filled with water, food, and other treats. Vince grabbed two half gallon canteens of water and rushed for the exit. The ground shook as the monster broke through the walls behind Vince.
"Fu*k!" Vince sprinted out the door and into the desert. The monster blew open the exit walls and followed Vince. This mutant was at least ten times larger than Vince, but it's small legs made it rather slow. Vince headed toward the Grand Canyon, knowing the only way to kill the monster was to get it to fall into the monstrous crack. Vince ran as fast as he could, a dust trail appeared to his left as the monster slowly fell behind. Nearly at the Grand Canyon, Vince began to hear an engine emitting from the dust cloud. A man approached him on a Harley; he wore a Leather Jacket, a black shirt, and blue jeans. Vince directed his attention towards the approaching biker in hopes of some aid against the monster trailing not too far behind...

Jake rode along the road, dodging the random, broken down car every once and a while. The blond on the back stayed there, not saying much, but every once and a while ran her hands along Jake's body, admiring his muscular structure. The sun gradually rose until it was at it's highest. Jake would slow down for a water break every once in a while, sipping from the gallon jug every once and a while.
Soon enough a run down building approached on his right. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary but Jake thought there might be something worth seeing in this building. Soon enough, a man ran out into the street flagging him down. The wall on the building exploded and out came a monster.
Jake didn't slow down, but pulled the Model 1887 shotgun from the holster on the bike, and readied his shot. As Jake came close enough he shot a shot at the thing's head and yelled to the man, "Keep running; don't stop or you will die" yelled Jake over the engine of the motorcycle.
Jake continued to drive before turning around and firing his shotgun again. The creature seemed irritated and slightly hurt. The shotgun was a nice weapon for Jake. He handled it like a pro, and loved the way it felt in his hands. His movement was smooth and looked as if he had had the shotgun for most of his life. This monster wasn't going to be a challenge for him.

The monster had lost interest in Vince and was now attacking the man on the Harley. Vince popped the cap off of one of the canteens and chugged the half gallon. The man had a blonde girl on the back of his bike, she didn't seem to mind the monstrosity. I latched the canteens to my belt and sprinted towards the man who seemed to need help.
The monster oozed out heavy amounts of blood as the man fired a Model 1887 shotgun like a pro. "Yo nice shot!" The monster redirected towards Vince as the man on the Harley stopped and gave Vince a look that said 'Are you fu*king retarded!?' The monster swung it's arm at Vince as he fired his Beretta M92. The over sized arm came down at Vince, he tried to dodge the attack but failed and was hurled backwards.
The man on the bike shook his head insinuating Vince was a rookie, he revved his engine and returned fire. Vince tried to stand as the man on the bike was shooting the monster...

The Model 1887 did wonders to the creatures head. The creature was even more disfigured now and was obviously ****ed off and hurt. Jake could tell that either this guy had no clue what he was doing and was alive by chance or he was having the clumsiest, worst day of his life. Either way the guy was making rookie mistakes. Jake wasn't going to stike around for long if this guy kept it up. The thought of killing the guy himself crossed his mind more than once in the last thirty seconds.
Jake got off the bike motioned for the girl to stay on it. This wouldn't take long. The creature turned back to Jake as he shot another shot into the back of the creatures legs. This made the creature buckle under his own weight. Jake shot it again after pumping the shotgun. The creature dropped to its knees, held up by it's huge arms. Jake put the gun up to the creature's head point blank as it tried to stand up and fired. The creature fell back as the slug went through and through, leaving nearly nothing left to it's head.
Jake looked back at the man holding a pea-shooter with slight disgust. He shook his head before heading back to his bike. It was obvious now that Jake was not a man of many words or high tollerance. Jake removed his jacket and put it on the backing of the seat behind the girl. Jake smirked at the girl, then rolled his eyes as she looked over at the other guy.

Vince lay on the ground in disgust with himself, he had usually not been this weak or simple minded. Being dehydrated and tired took a heavy toll on Vince. These stupid mistakes could cost him a valuable ally or source of information. Vince stood up slowly to see the man get off his bike, he looked down and reloaded his Beretta M92. He looked up to see the man with his Model 1887 point blank to the mutants head.
After the man had took the creature apart limb by limb with his Model 1887, Vince knew he was a professional. Vince looked down at his Beretta M92 knowing he needed some new firepower. Vince made his way through the blood and appendages to thank the man. He approached the man and his girl with high confidence.
"Hey thanks bro, I would've been fu*ked if you hadn't showed up." Noticing the man ignoring him because of his stupid mistakes and ignorance, Vince tried to explain himself.
"This desert really gets to you, been out here for a day or too. I just had to be dehydrated and out of energy when this mutant attacked me, sh*tty luck, right?" Vince managed a chuckle as the girl on the back of the bike started to notice him...

Jake listened to the man bring out the excuses. As the guy talked about dehydration, Jake reached for his jug of water. Jake handed the man the water and still said nothing. No words were needed for the moment and Jake was contemplating taking his water jug back and riding off leaving the man to die by the deserts hand. Jake saw the guys eyes flash at the bike then back at Jake.
"Ain't no f**king way you are getting on that bike" Jake said simply. "So is the creature someone's pet or just a stray?" asked Jake pointing at the flesh on the ground with the shotgun.

Vince stood with confidence, knowing the man could give a damn whether he lived or not. The water the man handed him would've been a nice gesture if he hadn't opened his mouth. Vince wanted the bike the man had, that was true, but he knew couldn't take the man on. He decided to try and befriend the professional outlaw in front of him; he would be a good ally.
"There was a man in the building over there." Vince pointed towards the now demolished warehouse. "The monster was his pet." Vince saw a slight interest in the mans face as he talked about the creature. He knew he wasn't going to make friends with the man, they were going to stay mere acquaintances, so he attempted to get some information as he pulled out a picture of his parents from his back pocket. "Have you seen either of these people?"

Post by Dark Nomad on Jun 11, 2010 15:17:20 GMT -5
Jake took a second to look at the picture of the two people in the picture. Jake didn't recognize them. "I've never seen them before." Jake wasn't sure why the guy would ask if a stranger has seen two people in a picture, but Jake knew that basically this guy was stranded with some psycho who liked B.O.W.s as pets.
"Well let's go kill that sick f**k, and not stand around in the desert." said Jake to the other two. Jake turned back to the bike and pulled out his HK36 assault rifle and threw it to the stranger. "Your pistol won't kill anything, you need this more than I do. The name's Jake by the way. You have a gun, sweet thing?" Jake asked the girl who pulled out a .44 Magnum. Jake smiled at the girl who seemed to be made for him.
Jake headed towards the whole in the wall where the monster came through, with the other two right behind him, and was set out on killing the man who owned the monster. They entered into the room and saw the rubble from the wall scattering what seemed to be a labratory.
"Hey sick f**k! I think you owe my friend here an apology for sicking that worthless mutated sack of crap on him at his weakest!" Jake yelled into the darkness. "Does he know anything about the people in the picture that you are looking for? Because if he does I will make him talk." Jake said with a twisted grin on his face.

Vince and the hottie with the magnum followed Jake as he led them into the desolated warehouse; the HK36 was a good upgrade from Vince's Beretta. The place seemed vacant but Vince knew the man had hid in here somewhere, he had to be badly hurt from when the monster knocked him out of his window earlier; although the fall wasn't too high. Jake and Vince seemed to be on better terms as Jake was now helping him seek revenge on the mad scientist who tried to kill him.
"He could know, I got a tip that these people were out here so he might have some clue as to where they are; and the name's Vince." Rubble fell on the floor as the mad man rushed across the room. Vince and the others rushed after the man only to lose him in a maze-like warehouse room. It was similar to the large storage area Vince had fought the monster in earlier, but this room was more compact. The group maneuvered around the weakened columns and the destroyed scaffolding.
"Over there!" Vince ran ahead of the group to catch up with the man. Jake and the Girl caught up as Vince was under cover; he was being bombarded by a turret. The mad man was on the far side of the room with a mounted turret. "Fu*k, get down!" He continued to fire with his seemingly infinite supply of ammo as Vince, Jake, and the Girl kept behind cover.
Finally there was a break in fire, Vince stood up and aligned his new HK36 Assault Rifle with the mad man's arm and fired a burst. The man lay incapacitaded on the floor for the moment, giving the group the time to rush over and capture him...

Vince had shot the man in the arm, knocking him down, giving the trio time to rush the guy and capture him. Jake stood on the arm of the man that had been shot keeping him from running while putting the shotgun to his head, and put his free arm around Alison(OOC:the girl, might as well give her a name).
"Now listen up f**ker. You are going to answer every god damn question this guy is going to answer, or it will be a very long and painful day for you." Jake said to the scientist. Go ahead and question him Vince, and I can make this last all day if he doesn't cooperate." Jake said to Vince. Jake kept watch, making sure there were no more B.O.W.s on their way for them or infected wandering through. Jake wouldn't want to let this guy get away just because he had more than one pet monster.

The mad man shook on the floor as Jake crushed his arm and held his shotgun to the mad man's head. The area seemed clear but it wouldn't be a surprise if the scientists had another pet. Jake and Allison stood to the side as Vince knelt down to the mad man to proceed with the questioning.
"Look at this picture, have you seen either of these two people!?" The scientists face lit up as he began to snicker. "So you're the son of Ryan Myers?" The scientist laughed maniacally as Jake stomped on his arm; the scientist shreaked. "So you know my father! Where is he damnit!?" The scientist lifted his head up and stared Vince down. "I don't know, maybe I fed him to one of my pets!" The scientist began to laugh again as Jake was grinding his teeth. Vince stood rapidly, aimed his HK36 at the scientist's leg and fired as the scientist trembled in pain. Fu*cking Bastard! You shot my fu*king leg! The scientist screamed in pain as Jake smiled. "Tell me where my fu*king parents are!" Vince's voice shattered the scientists screams."Okay! Okay, about an hour ago... You're father left in a helicopter." Vince aimed the HK36 at the scientists head. "Where did he go to!?" The scientist took a second to respond as he drooled blood. "He... he was heading... back to Raccoon City."
Just as Vince received the information he wanted, a horde of zombies charged from the broken wall. The group headed for a large scaffolding and climbed while shooting the zombies. The scientist was being devoured as Vince looked to Jake for options...

The smell of blood and rotten flesh filled the room seconds before the infected did. Jake, Alison and Vince ran to a scaffolding above all of the infect. The trio was shooting at any of the ones trying to get up where they were. Jake didn't know what they were going to do, but he wasn't about to lose his cool over a few dozen infected. Jake casually lit a cigarette as the moaning of the infected drowned out any noise the world might have provided.
Jake kept watching the infected while he let out a few more shots. He then reloaded his shotgun, and continued to survey the infect. He couldn't think of anything to save their asses other than just shoot them. There was always the container labeled Oil at the end of the room that may provide some sort of relief from the infect.
Jake pointed it out to Vince to shoot it. It would either blow up, leak a flamable substance all over the ground below them, or be completely empty.

The infected were overwhelming. There weren't any options Vince could see except climb higher and shoot faster. Jake and Allison were hanging close to each other while Vince was up above them. After a while, Jake signaled Vince to shoot the Oil Barrel and disperse enough Zombies to escape.
Vince locked him self in place around the scaffolding, tucked the HK36's stock into his shoulder, and took a deep breath. He squeezed the trigger as the bullet rocketed out and slammed into the Oil Barrel. The barrel rolled over into the horde of Zombies and a stream of oil leaked out of the bullet hole. "Sh*t it didn't ignite!" Jake and Allison continued to kill zombies as Vince attempted to shoot the flammable liquid. The horde of Zombies covered the trail of oil, it was impossible to see it. The trio continued to climb higher until a Zombie grabbed Allison's foot. (OOC: I was gonna put dialogue but i didnt kno if ud throw a sh*tfit lol =P) Jake slid down the scaffolding and knocked the Zombie with him; Jake was holding on to a slim pipe. Vince hopped down and pulled Jake up. Vince began to climb back up as a Zombie grabbed his leg and pulled him off the pipe. He fell to the lower scaffolding where many Zombies roamed.
The group attempted to help Vince as the Zombies were about to overwhelm him. The oil that had leaked earlier made its way to an electrical wire sparking on the ground. Vince unloaded his HK36, Zombies dropped one by one as Jake and Allison tried to help Vince. The oil collided with the sparking electrical wire, it zapped, and sent fire flying through the horde and into the Barrel; it exploded.
