Anna peered into the door way of the room where the voices were carried, she'd seen Lucy there looking around at her new wallpaper. Feeling as though her heart stopped momentarily, Lucy and she caught eyes. As soon as that silent moment had passed, she'd smiled at her mother and started walking toward her with arms opened. As she approached, Anna barely managed to put her arms out to her child when she heard faint cries, distracting her.
Looking over her shoulder, she could hear Nova's voice but it was so obscured, she couldn't tell what she was saying. Looking back at where Lucy was, she was gone and the entire room was covered in mold. Her heart sank. Before long, she started jogging back out of the room and into the hall.
It was clear that Nova was screaming her name, terrified. Anna cursed herself for leaving the young woman alone and started running toward the back door when the ground gave in beneath her. Arms up and eyes widened, the redhead fell inside the basement, atop of old, wet, boxes, giving way to more light. When she'd came to seconds later, she'd grimaced and looked up at the scene. Something shrouded in darkness had been clawing at the brunette, relentlessly.
"Nova!" the Redhead shouted, unholstering her Colt and taking a shot at it. "C'mon ya bastard! Over here!

A massive, slick, bile ridden mouth opened wide at the new arrival; massive fangs hanging from the ceiling. The redhead woman shot at it, hitting tender spots. The creature seized up, shrieking before hightailing in a u-turn knocking out several supports at the same time. It wriggled back up through the hole it came from making it larger than before and letting far more water seep in.
Catori had been lying on her back at the stairs, submerged to her chest, "Th-anks," she puffed, her cardio apparently not what she original thought it were in a nerve racking situation. Cringing as she stood up with a groan, her back hurting from being through onto the hardwood, "Hey. Hey, you alright?" she asked after realizing the commando woman's point of entrance, "Come on. Let's get out of here before th' damn thing comes back."
Looking up the stairs. The door would still be locked, and with an indestructible pad lock. The only exit was back through the hole Anna had made, or the hole leading back out. Neither particularly simple as a means of escape. Regardless, Cat opted for the hole Anna made.
"Here," she panted lightly after joining her companion, "I'm not getting jumped crawling back outta that. Give me a sec," she took her collapsed bow off of its hook, reeling a little of the wire out. With a throw it went up and out of the hole landing somewhere inside the house. Tugging on it to the point of hanging determined it were stuck fast.
As Cat began to climb dome heads started to rise out of the water, gurgling while emerging from their debris laden bubble bath, "Ah! Zombieproblem!" Catori pointed under her hanging arm at the basement dwellers. She took a couple of quick shots while hanging before sticking the slide of her pistol in her mouth and started climbing again.

Anna watched the monster flee and soon after, she'd groaned and felt the terrible pain in her back ache, almost pulse. Nova thanked her and asked if she was alright, Anna nodded a bit and got to her feet, hands still on her lower back.
"Yeah, yeah, fine... my ass broke the fall," she joked. Both women looked up at the hole as their only, real, means of escape. Anna reached for something in her jacket to use but Nova beat her to the punch and managed to hook her rope onto something above, sturdy enough to climb.
Allowing the Brunette to go up first, the sounds of slushing, gurgling water could be hears. Flicking her flashlight on, the agent shined the beam of light around to see the top half of human heads. Well, zombie heads, anyway. Nova had called it quickly and began taking a few shots herself, strikeing a few in the crown of the head before switching mags like a veteran pro with her teeth.
As she continued to climb up, Anna kicked at the two remaining heads, cacing in one's soft, rotting, skill and denting another. Once Nova was up, she'd grasped otno the rope and started to climb up soon after.
As she did, hands wrapped around her ankles from below. Yelping and glancing down, she could see another zombie emerge from the water logged boxes, it's maw wide open as it pulled itself out to bite her.
" F*ck off!" she shouted, shoving her other foot into it's face and prying it off.

Catori scrambled around to the other side of the hole lying flat on her stomach. She aimed at the zombie's head keeping sure not to injure Anna in the leg; the massive ring coil suppressor over the muzzle of Cat's Sigma made it seem like the infected simply keeled over from nothingness; a red dot painted on its forehead. As it let go of the redheads leg she moved back to the other side of the hole, making some distance from it before grabbing the wire and helping pull.
Grabbing the wet, gloved hand of her savior marked the end of their basement dwelling. A few zombies crowded around the hole reaching up with the urge to fly. Cat slapped her hand on Anna's shoulder, "Done with basements," she simply said, puffed, before moving off to collect her bow.
As Cat knelt down a wash of water splashed at her feet, like the draw of a sandy shore. She looked up to the entrance of the house to see the water level had reached the porch and was now flowing into the house, "Sunnava gun," the native sighed figuring it would probably reach up to her thighs, "Okay we either gotta get going right now or get to the second floor, this place is no longer safe," she hazarded to the dripping wet woman.

Once Anna had been pulled up, she'd brushed herself off, wringing the excess water from her fall in the flooded basement, out of her ponytail. When Catori mentioned they were done with basements, the redhead squinted an eye at her, inquistively. Before responding, she'd also started to worry about the current flooding over the porch that made it's way into the house, explaining the sounds of running water around them. What had made it inside had been drizzling into the newly formed hole.
Before she'd made a decision, she just had to ask or else it'd be bothering her all night.
"Why in the hell would you go into a basement, knowing how high the water gets around here and in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?" she asked with a certain stab of frustration. She didn't mean to be a jerk but this would have been completely avoided if she hadn't gone down there.
When the sounds of something clattering down below had sounded, possibly the monster coming back for more, Anna shook her head and started moving back toward the back door. Going onto the second floor was way too hazardous. The floors were so rotten and swollen from water damage that she didn't want to take the risk of the upstairs caving in either.
"We'll just get the hell out of here. Where's the safest place to be until the flooding goes down, Nova?"

Catori had cringed all through out the verbal scolding mouthing 'sorry' a half dozen times while gritting her teeth; it felt like fire, "Curiosity killed the Nova? Idunno!" she shrugged hard, "You said check the place out, I figured I'd give it a thorough investigation!"Anna had gunned it for the back door, Cat finding her decision to not choose upstairs made her a bit anxious, "No really I'd seriously prefer to just hang out on the roof for a couple of hours. Anna?" the lady asked her the best option to wait for the flooding to recede, "The roo- hrmph," the farmhouse was no longer an option. "The railroads run highest but we gotta be fast. We don't have much time!" Cat galloped toward the water, almost walking across it as she powered in. It went up to her waist, "Oh m- seriously, we have no time!" she turned around and started wading as fast as possible. The swamp monster could taste delicious female flesh in the water around it, frenzied, it went into a prowl keen to find decadent legs to devour. Oh how it loved the feminine side of the human race, considering them a delicacy in its list of fine foods. Its pupil slits narrowed as it honed in on disturbances in the water, hungry for a filling feed.
Water was rising fast. It was at Cat's waist a minute ago, now it started passing her belly button. She chanted 'gunna die' over under her breath keeping a close eye on the water level. The girl shivered, although that wasn't from the cold. Ground beneath her feet became soft sinking her even further, "Oh god please tell me you're right behind me Anna!" she looked over her shoulder best she could, trying to use her peripheral vision to get a lock on where the broad woman were.
Scaly skin eased through muddy ground below the water pushing its shape into the dirt and kicking up a swirl behind it. It could have nearly been laughing in hysterics about how much it were about to feed on two scrumptious females. How fitting they would be for a morning feed. How lucky its day were to be given such a pleasant rain storm to hide amongst. Fangs hung from its gaping mouth as it went in.
Catori disappeared from sight, pulled under the water in the blink of an eye. For a moment it seemed as if she wouldn't resurface as one would imagine after being pulled under by the swamp monster. She appeared again a dozen metres away from where she originally stood, almost pushed up into a perfect standing position. Cat looked bedazzled at her situation, paler than ever before; even for a Native. The girl knew what was going on. It played with its food first like a dog nudging a bug. The railroad was further away than ever before. Catori signaled for Anna to run for it, waving furiously to get her going toward the tracks. If she went now there was a chance she would make it before the swamp monster wrapped up entree with the little brunette. Water exploded near the chocolate haired girl, a massive snake rearing its head high up in the air. Its stare petrified Cat, freezing her on the spot.

Anna had been rapidly trudging through the water, she wasn't very tall so the water was to her waist. It all happened so fast and the worst part was, she couldn't even swim. Her heart had began to race but either way it went, climbing onto the roof was still a bad idea. It was slippery and rickety. They would die instantly with the wrong step in the wrong place. Her jaw locked, teeth bearing down on eachother in worry. That's when she could hear Nova's voice barely over the pounding rain.
Looking around, she'd grimaced. A massive snake had appeared out of the water, eyeing Nova like an entree. She could see her signaling for her to keep moving to the tracks and she did, kept going but stopped and swore under her breath. Her conscience was screaming at her and in return, Anna began wading through the water, grasping onto a light pole nearby. It had a sturdy, cylinder base she climbed onto. Holding onto the pole with one hand, she unholstered her sidearm and sighed.
"Here we go again!" she shouted, taking shots at it, careful to not hurt Nova. "Nova! Come toward me!" she yelled out, watching the snake sway side to side, it's large, slick body uncoiling from the rising water.
There had to be a way out of this. Looking up, there'd been a flat roofed, small station for cargo pickup. If they could get up there, then they could fight off the bastard and still be above water. Shooting at the snake had stunned it and kept it flinching, reeling back, giving Nova enough time to move atleast a little further away, or swim, whichever she was able to do.

The snake's paralyzing stare cut off once Anna began firing upon the giant reptilian, snapping Catori out of her petrification. The native girl shook her head, nearly dazed and feeling like she had just been turned to stone. The fiery redhead shouted at her to head in her direction, spotting the leveled roof she insisted on using to gain higher ground.
Freezing water splashed up in her face as Cat furiously powered toward the dry spot, not thinking about the Yawn which may or may not be directly behind her. Getting petrified again would only put both of them in danger, she decided to stare it in the mouth rather than the eyes next time.
"Help me up!" Cat called to Anna after reaching the cargo station, hopping up from the water while holding out her hand. She felt a hundred pounds heavier with all of her water logged clothing.
Backpack dropped to the side, pulling her compound out. With the flick of a switch the collapsed bow split in half, snapping out and extending to full length. Cat drew an arrow from her quiver resting it on the seat of the grip. She kept a low stance while looking out for dark patches in the water; evidence of the snakes approach.
"Careful!" barking as the slimy serpent broke through the surface, mouth agape. Cat dive rolled out of the way as it soared straight over the roof, back into the water at the other side.

When Anna helped Nova onto the small, dry, island around the station, she'd quickly taken action with her bow snapping into place, which Anna had to admit, looked pretty damn cool. The creature had lunged out of the water and leapt over the building entirely before landing on the other side, diving back into the water. There was a ladder on that very backside that took them to the roof. No doubt it was there especially for the flooding situation. She'd already seen two or three of them with flat roofs.
"Nova, ladder!" The redhead shouted, climbing up. After a short bit, she'd made atop and looked back down over the building where she'd seen the brunette climbing up. As she did so, the shadow in the water had gotten larger and before long, it purged from the murky mess and stretched it's maw open wide, fangs dripping with venom.
It darted it's head at the brunette when Anna grasped onto her shoulders and started pulling her toward the top, barely missing her by mere inches and slamming into the walls, bending the iron ladder. When it fell back with a loud splash, a crater was left in the side of the building.
They were now sitting ducks. The rain was heavy and the flooding was reaching the station doors, there really was no other way out of this. Swearing a bit, the agent swapped her Colt for her shotgun, checking herself on ammunition. She'd already had rounds loaded prior to arrival. Pumping the shotgun she'd kept watch on the north side of the building.
It had gone completely silent.
"I hate snakes..."

"Hah!" Cat puffed out after finding herself on her backside from the evasive manouver, "You watch too much Indiana Jones," she grinned in accusations at the red head. With a grunt she stood up, picking up her bow. The weapon was resilient enough to take a beating, working fine even after being soaked in water, "Now spiders're a different story."
One slender hand pulled an arrow from her quiver, "Okay," Catori shifted, keen to kill her some legless reptilian menace, "Let's fock'em op," slouching her voice while watching a dark patch in the water approach from her side, "Watch this one-hit KO," the archer bragged before power pulling the cable back and timing the fire perfectly with the snake's second incursion.
A whistle cut through the air as the arrow flew. It may have looked measly comparing the thin shaft with the thickness of the snake, Cat might have mentioned something about size not matter had she been a male, deciding it against it either way considering sizes were definitely deceiving from what it had in stock.
Splitting the half, a razor wire extended as the shells two parts moved away from each other. The splitter arrow, her own special artillery. It cut into the snake...
About a couple of inches before the two halves of the shaft wrapped around the reptilian and tangled with each other. Cat found herself dodging for her life once more, "Damnit!" she cursed during the moment having expected the wire to slice straight through mister slippery, "Okay. Ol' Snakey is a bit thicker than what I'd previously imagined," she puffed a lock of her fringe from her face.

"You watch too much Indiana Jones."
Anna grinned at that statement the brunette made. Infact someone had told her something similar at one point and it was always funny. Especially because she'd never seen an Indiana Jones movie in her life. More or less in parodies, though. That's when she'd mentioned the spiders and it'd made her cringe. She hated those even more, more than ever before the passed few months.
"And giant mutated fleas. Let's not forget those, bastards."
The snake had finally breached and the cocky young woman had promised a one-hit kill on the snake but in a matter of seconds that had promise was broken and the snake nearly slammed into Nova before dropping back into the water. Anna didn't really want to waste ammunition in it if it'd be washed away when the flood dissipated. It's skin was too thick and bullets weren't going to do much if she couldn't get a lock on it's face.
This would be easier if we had something bigger...like a grenade launcher...or something... she thought to herself, begrudgingly.
She'd tried to keep away from the edge but needed to look out for the snake therefore she'd gripped her shotgun tighter and scanned the body of water that washsed over the base of the building. A few minutes had passed by and nothing had happened, leaving the two women feeling particularly nervous.
That's when the building began to shake beneath their feet. The sounds of lapping water and something massive had slamming into hard concrete, could be heard. The redhead raised a brow and before she could speak, the building had shoke violently, sendind her stumbling over her feet onto the otherside of the roof top, Nova also struggling to keep footing, but she did.
The snake below them had been under water and ramming into the building's side. It was going to get it's meal one way or another and this seemed to have shaken things up. ((I'm so punny, lolol)) The redhead darted her eyes toward one side of the building where the tremors had come from, pointing a bit.
"Sonuva b*tch is try'na collapse the building! What a relentless jackass!" she yelled out, running toward the edge and pointing her shotgun down into the water. She'd shot into the area beneath her, pumping the weapon and pulling the trigger again, the spray effect rattling and rippling the water, harshly.
A discolored bloom of blood had risen from the water before the quaking stopped momentarily. Anna looked down into the now silent waters. Was it dead...? With another loud splash, the snake emerged high above the roof to stare at the women with it's mouth agape before darting at the closest. Anna.
Leaping aside, she'd rolled onto the ground and threw a worried glance at Nova, turning onto her back and shooting at it's body.

Eyes locked again after the snake's maw snapped shut. Cat was stunned from how close Anna had come to being serpent food and also at how close the snake were to herself. It swayed left and right, mezmerizing her. The monster ignored the bullets from the redheads firearm as best as possible as it worked to keep the brunette under its whim.
Catorio dropped her bow and the snake lashed forwards, mouth opening and fangs dropping down. With a snap the native disappeared, her quiver getting cut off from her back in the process with numerous arrows spilling from the open end. One arrow with a heavy head stood out from the rest looking like it held far more collateral than the rest of the shafts.
Constriction engulfed the archers body feeling the snakes insides around her crushing her ever more slightly as she traveled through its body. Cat could feel its muscles pushing her slowly down. A part of her wanted to cry out at the insanity of the position she found herself in, and if it weren't for her lungs being crushed she would have been heard.
Her left arm twisted around her back haphazardly. By utter chance she found her hand nestled on the hilt of her machete. Cat pushed with what force she could muster drawing the massive blade from its scabbard. Careful not to plunge the blade into herself, something popped at her shoulder, her arm coming out of its crease just to get the machete over her head. With a little pressure it cut into the snake's insides.
Cat kept pushing until the blade gave way, poking outside of the snake. She had ceased her movement through its insides, but in blatant disregard of the snakes wellbeing blood started to fill its stomach.

Anna watched in sheer horror as Nova was devoured by the snake. She'd felt her heart nearly sink when she'd noticed the different arrow among the others. She'd grasped at it and then the Bow. She'd tried her damned hardest to align the arrow with the string but her shaking hands fumbled. After a minute or so she'd gotten it and aimed at the face of the snake as it seemed almost frozen. She hadn't noticed the blade poking out of it's belly, though.
"Suck'own this! Mother f*cker!!" she yelled, her bitter anger had released her Southern twang in her speech as she'd let the arrow fly. A whistle sounded as it darted through the air and struck the side of the snake's head. Throwing the bow aside, Anna unholstered her handgun and began emptying her entire magazine into it as it hissed and swirved drunkenly in the water before collapsing.
Still pulling the trigger of her empty .45, the redhead had panted and stared down at it sinking into the flood water which hadn't been as deep as she'd thought. Lying belly up in the water, there was an incision being made from inside. Eyes widened, the woman blinked and rubbed at them harshly before looking down at it again. It was still happening.
Nova...? she said lowly before sliding down the ladder. She'd trudged through the water that had been upto her waist and placed her hands around the forming gash.
"Nova! Nova you're alive!" she shouted before unsheathing her trench knife to aid in the cutting.
((Eventually you'll hafta save Anna some time. X3 Anna's always Miss.Hero. ))

Pulled down like a zipper the machete sliced downwards assisted by the redheads knife; the feeling of snake flesh against her cheeks as Catori pushed her head out of the sepents stomach felt nauseating. Breathing out spurted a ream of blood and uncontrolled coughs desperately pulling herself out of the cocoon. The native held her hand over her mouth as more icky crimson spewed out, "Ahhh!"
All of her clothing and bare skin was covered in red. She rolled out and dunked herself in the water feeling the seething cold once again stab at her. Breaking the surface after feeling modestly hygenicized and taking another breath before coughing up blood again, "Jesus - christ," another cough ensued breaking up her speech, "I'm coughing up blood that isn't even my own. Yerch."
She flicked her hands still feeling the greasyness. It would cake and probably stink eventually. Then Cat let her arms hang, taking one controlled breath. She casually stepped forwards before latching onto Anna in a camaraderie hug, "Thanks," squeezing quickly before letting go.
Cat collected her equipment. The watered had lowered past their waist making it easier to move around and not get jumped. Returning to the railroads they proceded towards the next silo station.

After ensuring Nova was alright and being hugged tightly by her, Anna felt oddly relieved and slightly ackward. She'd patted the woman on the head and smiled at her before handing her the bow she'd borrowed.
"It's good to see you're alright... but you're starting to smell pretty bad," she told the brunette, stifling a chuckle. Before long, she'd looked out at the water. She could see that the water was waist high and as such, it'd be hard as hell and dangerous, to tread through it. She wasn't sure how many shallow holes there possibly were but she didn't feel like chancing anything. Although, sitting around, waiting for another giant snake to emerge didn't sit well with her either.
Nova didn't waste much time, she'd wandered off ahead, probably still shook up by their recent events. She'd followed along after and took another glance back as the building became smaller and smaller in the distance.
'I wonder if they're even still alive....' she wondered to herself. She wasn't mentall prepared to answer that question.
After what felt like another mile or two, Anna looked over at Nova and frowned. It was a close call and had Nova not have been resourceful or Anna act quickly, Nova would have been another innocent corpse on her track record. Almost another Alex...
The redhead grasped at her head. It was beginning to pound and as such, that was a distraction that wasn't needed at the moment. She'd reached into her inner breast pocket of her coat, pulling out a prescription bottle and uncapping it.
"So Nova, what are you doing here in Russia, anyway?" she asked casually, popping two pills and crunching them between her teeth.
