A barren strip of land with plenty of sand, plenty of cactuses, and small trees that yield desert flowers can be found here. And lets not forget the endless horde wandering either. This area leaves you incredibly visible and vulnerable, a ghoul can spot you from ten miles away regardless whether you yourself can see it or not. It's best you keep low to the ground, while at the same time using some method to negate the heat. Either that, or releif is just a gunshot away. Speaking of gunshots, with such an open location it's very easy to hear noise, guns being one of the most common. There are a lot of survivors out here, but don't consider all of them friendly...and try not to hang with the gun toting ones either, it won't matter whether a ghoul spots you from ten miles away or not.

"Shut up back there!" Yelled Andrei Belanov over the engine of his truck to the men in the back of the truck. He didn't like any of them and sat up front by himself. He didn't see any cute women, but of course he wasn't looking, or else they would hae sat up front with him. The roar of the engine was enough to attract any form of undead or creature that wanted them bad enough. A random infected didn't stand a chance to the truck traveling at 50 miles an hour, but a mob could cause problems. Andrei was safe in the front, having reinforced it and basically made it impenetrable, but the people in the back were open to the elements and anything that wanted to eat them. They had only paid to be transported as far as he was going, but not for protection.
The dust streamed behind them as they drove through the desert on the only strip of road in at least a hundred miles. The only cars in sight were the ones headed out of the city that died along the way. They were most of the time pulled off to the side of the road or were just died in the middle of the road. Gas was hard to come by by the time everyone started trying to get away so most cars are just out of gas and aren't totally useless just are until you bring the gas to them. In the desert it is hard and slightly stupid to bring the gas to the car.

Scarlett drove her plain white jeep very cautiously down the road, avoiding the occasional undead that she saw. There weren't that many on this stretch, despite what the person she'd gotten directions from had warned her. Aside from them, the street was eerily empty, though that was top be expected for this time of day. She was just passing through and she honestly had no idea where she was going. Just had to keep driving until she reached somewhere. She didn't know where yet, but far away from home would be best. She intended to drive until she ran out of gas, like a lot of the cars she'd passed, but her car kept sputtering and making these weird noises, like "KA-THUCK-THUCK-THUCK".
She didn't know crap about cars, in fact she didn't even know how to use the repair kit she kept in the back, but she knew enough to gather that it didn't sound good. She tried to ignore it though, that is until the next time it happened. Because this time it was followed by a loud pop and the car veered to the left. Great. A flat. She immediately pulled over the side of the road and leaned back in her seat, letting out a long and frustrated sigh. Atticus climbed up onto her lap like the sweet cat he was and lay down. "This sucks, Atticus. It really, really sucks. This place is seedy as hell, I don't wanna be stuck here." Atticus lifted his head and meowed lazily, as though he was replying. This black cat was not one for heat. Scarlett blew a piece of hair out of her face and continued to talk. "Well hey, if you're not happy with it, you can get out and fix it. Your guess is as good as mine." Atticus settled back into her lap. "Thought so." She mumbled as she stroked his soft black fur.
After a few moments she grabbed her pistol and stepped out of the car, walking around to the side where the pop had come from. She raked her fingers through her hair and looked at it frustratedly. She had a spare, but dammit she had no idea how to change one of these things. Atticus perched himself on the dashboard and lay down. Scarlett made a face at him. "Lazy a**." She mumbled, wondering if that was a car she heard in the distance.

Seemed like Edward was walking for hours, could have very easily been. The heat was really getting to him, this wasnt like the city at all. He hadnt been to an area like this in his life, at least not a desert setting as widely spanned. Edward was carrying his shotgun on his back, and a case of shotgun shells in his left hand, there would have to be a somewhere to stop eventually. It couldnt go on forever. Maybe staying back at the town wouldve been the better option, but it was a little late to turn back now.
Requesting the BSAA to bring him to a place like this was a waste of time, it was no better the Raccoon City. Edward thought that maybe the outbreak would have been a little less worse in these parts, and he would be able to continue his investigation. But all that was left was a city of the dead. To his astonishment, he heard the sound of a vehicle coming to a stop over a bump in the distance. It looked to be in rough shape, but still driveable. There wasnt any infected in the area, or none that he could see, so he jogged at a quick pace closer to the White Jeep. As Edward got closer, he saw that there was a younger female standing beside it, what could she be doing all the way out here? Well, same could be asked about himself... "Wouldnt expect to find anybody out here..." He spoke out in a clear voice once he got closer, trying not to scare her.

As soon as the truck leveled out at the top of the hill he saw a young woman step out of a white jeep and oddly enough a man walking towards her. Too far away to tell if she was in danger, Andrei slowed to a stop and let out a quick curse in Russian. "Always gotta be the hero, don't you?" thought Andrei. At that he straps on his ballistic mask and steps out of the truck. "(in Russian)a**hole, (in English)stop where you are and speak" Said Andrei, readying his pistol. "Don't make me hurt you but normal people don't walk in a f**king desert if they could avoid it. Is your car alright, miss...?" Finishes Andrei.

Scarlett walked around to the punctured wheel and kicked it a few times. It was totally blown, damn. She rounded to the other side of the car, intending to get her hat out from the back seat, but she stopped when Atticus perked up. She jumped with a yelp when she turned and saw a man walking towards her. "Ah!" Dropping her gun, she clutched her chest in an over-dramatic fashion that had become second nature to her in the past years of her life.
"Wouldn't expect to find anybody out here..."
The actress scrambled to grab up her pistol, popping back up and pointing at him. She was holding it wrong and her aim was shaky. Clearly his attempt not to scare her wasn't working. "Um, ah, stay back! I'm serious!" He stopped and she was grateful for it, and there was a moment of dead silence. She was about to speak up, ask him who he was and what he was doing out here. About to, that is until a man in a mask came bounding in yelling. Scarlett immediately dropped her gun to the dirt and ducked, covering her head. A brave move for a brave girl. When it was clear that this wasn't going to turn into a shoot'em up, she peeked up over the hood. "Erm..." She cleared her throat. "Scarlett Levi." She introduced herself, standing up, glancing to both of the intimidating men she was faced with. "My name's Scarlett Parker Levi. I think I just have a flat, but honestly I have no idea how to fix it." If either of them had seen any movies in the past several years, they would probably recognize her. Atticus meowed and climbed out across the hood of the car, rubbing against her hand. She scratched his ears. "I have a spare, and a kit. Any help would be appreciated a lot."

Edward grinned, of course he could help with the vehicle troubles. Hes dealt with the situation before, and anybody with a jeep out here would have an advantage. But before she could get any worse out, another man had approached them from north down the road, wearing a horrific mask, and speaking out in a Russian accent. Edward hadnt drawn his gun the whole time, he was far, far from hostile. Following along, he moved his hand up in the air, facing the male survivor holding the gun. "Special Agent Edward Barnaby, but please, call me Edward. Thats what everybody calls me... No need for violence, save your bullets for those ghouls." He exclaimed.
Eyeing the mask, Edward was very curious as to how it was constructed. It was very realistic looking, and it gave him a shiver just peering into the darkened eyes. Whatever kinda of effect the man was trying to pull off, it seemed to be working. However, disregarding the intimidating stare, Edward walked around to the back of the jeep, and stood in front of the trunk. "Ms. Levi, do you mind opening it up for me? Ill see what I can do." He spoke out in a calm voice, glancing back at the other man to see him finally lower the gun.

"Special Agent? An American agent far from home, walking in desert?" questioned Andrei, while flipping up the mask. He eyed the man up unsure of what to think of him. He was very out of place and wasn't making it anymore natural by acting hospitable to a man who had him at gun point. The girl they were helping was obviously a miracle case because there is no way she was still alive by skill only by luck. Good enough just like most others in this hell hole of a world.
"Well I have truck over there if you just getting out of here. I was planning on going to 'States.' Andrei, by the way." Said Andrei while pointing to the large flat bed truck with the back filled with a few Mexican families looking for a ride out of one hell hole into another hoping it was better. "You in back, she sit in front. Safer in truck than walking and no time to fix car. Ghouls coming." finished Andrei while pointing at the pack just coming over a dune in the distance.

A-D.A.W looked over the desert and saw a thing moving quicker than what it had feasted on before. It looked at its burrow area (which is the helicopter crash site along with the ship peace). It started then to do a slow walk at the thing after it had stopped. Maybe it didn't see it or maybe it did. It didn't matter to it either way. It shot a tentacle at on of the infected that was in front of it. While it walked at the thing it started eating the decayed corpse as it started to cross the next dune. It then saw something that it hadn't noticed. The little insects that it usually feasted on was being carried by it. As one of the Mexican families started screaming a tentacle lashed out and went through his gut. It then wrapped around him and pulled him back toward it. It then let out a blood curling roar as it charged the rest of them.
It hated it when its food ran. It liked it more when they just stand there a accept that they were food. A clawed hand came down behind the truck and grabbed one of the Mexicans and then it saw some more little creatures. It threw the Mexican man at them and roar in a challenge.

At the sight of the giant creature Andrei knew what to do. He was going to have to fight the creature. As the mexican man flew over the trio, Andrei ran to his truck and jumped in. At the sight of the other two not following him instead of running away from the creature he would risk his own life so that they weren't victims. He knew running away would only drag out the fight and would be tiresome. So Andrei told the families in the back to get out, turned on the truck, put it into drive and headed right at the creature. As soon as the truck started to go Ich Tu Dir Weh started to blast through the speakers catching the creatures attention. Andrei pointed his AK 47 at the giant and opened fired. That would keep the creature on him.

A-D.A.W felt in-ragged as the AK bullets bounced off his armor plates and tore into it. It started to charge the creature that sped toward it. The bullets hitting it made it even more furious as one pingged off its head protection. It shot a tentacle at it as it came closer to it. The tentacle missed and it then squrited acide at the thing just before it got close to it.

As Andrei got closer the creature started to attack. It missed a shot with it's tentacle and then procceeded to shoot acid at his truck. Andrei swurved the truck out of the way. He wasn't read to lose his truck until it was necessary. Andrei got ballsy and headed right under the creature shooting up at it's stomach as it drove under it. The creature would have to turn around and follow Andrei as he drove away from all of the other survivors. They would be safe and he would put up a fight against this creature. He was sure no one else would die today.

A-D.A.W roared and smashed the ground with its hind leg in a attempt to smash the truck as it went under it. It let out another ear splitting roar as it heard the thing going away. Seeing this as more of a challenge A-D.A.W decided to go after it. It used one of its clawed arms as balance as it turned around as quickly as it could. It then saw it and gave chase running after the thing using its hind legs to give it extra umph so it could run faster. A-D.A.W liked this new prey and was intended to get it.

As the creature dropped its hind leg in attempt to smash Andrei and his truck, Andrei let out a chuckle as he watched and saw his plan start to work. Like a scene from Jurassic Park, Andrei drove away from A-D.A.W. as fast as he could. The cars on the road gave way to the truck as it drove not caring enough to swurve around them. Every so often Andrei would turn around and let some bursts of fire go from his AK 47 hitting the creature in the face most of the time. This was going to be one hell of a bragging right around anyone if he killed this thing.

As A-D.A.W chased this thing it was making an annoying noise. But from what it had figured is that everytime it let out these annoying noises it would launch little things it that was pinging off its Skull armor plate. As it went over the road after it. It picked up a chunk of road with one of its clawed hands and threw it at it.
