They continued to run. Fortunately, at least for the time being, the hunters were distracted by the remaining and unfortunately loud assault troop.
Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t! F*cking goddammit!
Savannah fumed silently as she ran with the team towards the warehouse. They'd lost somebody. She'd lost somebody. She may not have liked the majority of this rag-tag team or how it worked, but that didn't mean that the death had any less value. And oh how it burned her, it took all of her willpower not to open fire on those f*cking beasts. The knot in her stomach tightened and and she heaved heavy breaths, but she continued to run.
The warehouse was in sight, cover from those horrible creatures. Once they reached the entrance, Savannah stopped them. Without a word she told everyone where to go; having her, Harold, and one other go through the entrance on the left, and Pandora go with the remainder. She wanted Pan to be with the members of the team she felt to be less than capable. Pandora was strong and strict, if Savannah could trust anyone to keep the rest of this team alive then it was her. Before moving on, she eyed everyone, a look that was nothing short of Oscar worthy. One that said, 'Keep your f*cking guard up you tw*ts, or the next time you see the light of day is when what's left of you is coming out of one of those f*cker's a**holes'. Poetry.
Taking a fraction of a second to breathe and ready her gun, she gave the go to move into the warehouse. She looked around, moving slowly and carefully into the warehouse. Pandora was right, this place was much clearer and there were much fewer blind spots than there were outside. Savannah padded forward softly, keeping her gun at the ready. Then suddenly she stopped, pressing a finger to her lips. A growl could be heard in the distance, along with the thudding of large footsteps. There was a hunter in here, though from the sounds of it there was one. Only one. Savannah smiled, thoughts of getting even running through her head. She didn't act on it, she wouldn't put her team in jeopardy like that and besides, they had a mission to keep their minds on. But the thought of it, just the thought of taking down one of those mammoths and watching it's pansy-a** friend cry over it. Just the thought was satisfying enough.
The hunter was a safe distance away, and more than likely couldn't see them. She motioned for the team to continue.
