This office building is six stories high. From here, they regulate where product is shipped to, to what commercials to air on telivision. The building has a purpose for each floor. On floor one they have the lobby floor. This entire floor is just a show area where they have clients sit and wait before being called up into the exexutive area. Here there are telivisions, computer terminals, industrial art and other things that are pleasing to the eye. On the second level is the sales floor. Here there are people in charge of the movement of product in stores all over the world. On the third and fourth floors you have market research. These floors are divided into a series of conference roooms where the company decides their future plans. Finally, the fifth and sixth floors are where the offices of the major players of the industry are. These offices are larged and well furnished with very elaborate waiting areas.

The only light that could be seen so far was from the vehicle they road in,and the bright moon. The driver mumbled something and The Doctor continued his glare forward, nothing else was needed. The giant shadow created by the building from the moon was their map.The meeting was to be of great value to The Doctor and his goals. He would be meeting a man of legend,a Fitch as The Doctor came to call him in his own mind. The name coming from a good John Grisham book entitled The Runaway Jury, the character Rankin Fitch was running the show for the defense and was a force to be reckoned with. However this wasn't a book, and it wasn't politics or law...it was business.
"Were here"The driver said with little more excitement than The Doctor.
The two men in the back seat cocked their rifles and turned on the lasers to their guns. They got out along with the driver.None of the names the Doctor took time to remember seeing as how they'd probably die tonight,or some time near in the future. The men waved their guns around, but couldn't see anything in the dark...he didn't expect them to.He got out of the car and looked around before closing the door, the massive gum showing grin on his face could have lit up the area if that were possible. The goons didn't see his smile, and they preferred it that way, once was enough from the ghoul they were working for.
"Gentlemen, let's go inside shall we?We wouldn't want such an important meeting to be held out in the cold.Open the door."One of the men sprinted forward and tried the door, unlocked,he pulled it open and held it for the three behind him.The Doctor grasped a silver case in his right hand as they walked through the door.
The Doctor was one for dramatics so he had the boys set up two seats about 10 feet from each other. The Doctor's seat at an angle so that the moon lit his lower face, giving "Fitch" the full effect of his smile. If the man wasn't already in the building he would be here soon, along with others he was sure...this meeting wasn't exactly just for the two of them.Knowing this, chairs of equal distance formed a circle. The Doctor didn't know how many players would be showing up but there were enough chairs.
His men checked their ammunition and one took position on a balcony floor above the lobby, just over and behind him out of the light.
"Now we play the waiting game gentlemen."

The Ascending Chapter Zero: The Good Doctors Check-Up The one thing that Mr. Marlboro never skimped on was the delicate planning of a traditional screw job. The building was definitely the perfect place to set up shop, for worst case scenario of course. The inner security feed no longer fed directly to the main security terminal inside the building and instead fed directly to his own PDA. The man undoubtedly had a knack for death-traps, first strikes, and most importantly… improvising before a meeting was even to take place. The span of events that led to this point were rather sketchy to say the least and Mr. Marlboro was not one for risking everything on a couple of nut-jobs with steel enforcers. The plan was calculated as always and simply… to be frank… to die for.
The red blinking light of the live security feed following both of the armed guards was hardly noticeable due to the onset of some well placed dust. Mr. Marlboro was specific to implement that tiny little bit of nature to them. The camera’s clicked the shutter twice in rapid succession while scoping out the thugs to the best of their mechanical ability. Each flash caught up with the next so quickly that the human eye could not follow it. But, the one thing that Marlboro may have underestimated was that fact that Mcloy was above ‘Human’ standards at this point. The one little upset would not define the reaction that was soon to follow, though. No matter how fast, strong, smart, or psychic Mcloy was… a death trap was a death trap. The shutters continued to snap the beams of light and then permit themselves into a minor shutdown stasis. No more feed.
From the corner of the floor strolled out Mr. Marlboro in a posh suit with all black business attire with a thigh lined over-coat. A rose was fashioned with three petals left standing on the vest beneath the coat… wilted beyond saving. As he approached his heels would click to the pit-pat of the smooth floor below while promoting the leather gleam. His demeanor was quite bland, and his expression was… expressionless. Had it not been for the usual humanistic movements of ones body language, his face could pass off as dead. But it was not until he was in full view and next to the chair assigned did his vague expression turn into the lighting of his eyes and a sick… demented smile. The clasp of his over-coat shown gently to represent a upward arch of a emblem, and that clasp was now glowing.
Three. Two. One. As Hammond took the seat at his requested spot, the two men that accompanied Mcloy would be met with a barrage of two inch inner-core steel and rubber riot balls. The explosion on the upper deck was loud, ending the silence in the pristine area with a thunderous appeal of a loud pop-noise. The pelting would stop as quickly as it had began, the riot charges clearly acting as a suppressant rather than a fatal attempt on The Good Doctors men. Each ball would be striking with enough force to completely render human anatomy useless, even if well armored. The knock out attempt was merely a safeguard to make sure that trigger happy goons stayed incapacitated throughout the entirety of the little get together. Riot Charges were merely one of the many safeguards put into place to make sure that the ball had remained in Marlboro’s court throughout the remainder. A few loose balls would then scatter the areas below the balcony a bit, but not enough to hinder the process of anyone or anything around.
Once the display of ’affection’ was shown to the goons of The Good Doctor, Hammond would speak in a low tone of voice, “ I apologize for the lack of modest appeal to your two very dashing men… but clearly a person such as myself would not like the attention of a weapon being in handle in my presence,” Mr. Marlboro adjusted the clasp with his coffee eyes returning to the blank, nonchalant nature that was displayed prior to the riot attempt. Even though his smile quickly faded and was replaced by the monotone approach, one could tell that it seemed like Marlboro was pleased with himself, “ Also, if you care to explain what is in the briefcase… I would be more than happy to issue the hand gesture that will make sure that gorgeous smile on your face stays intact. Obviously, I do not wish for your head to explode into tiny little pieces…”
The man known as Mr. Marlboro eyed the case cleverly, the origin of the material was remarkable but gave no clues as to what exactly the ghoul had inside of it. His hand would remain positioned unnoticeably with his ring finger out on his left hand, cleverly giving sign to a security feed somewhere. The clack of a rather large bullet entering a chamber nearby would echo ominously. Hammond Marlboro would keep the same demeanor, “ No disrespect intended of course, I just have prior agendas to uphold and simply wish for our relationship to stay as mutual as possible. Biological viruses tend to be a hot trade these days and vaccines are so HAAAARD to come by. I am sure you understand why a man such as myself must have these precautions… do you not? Pardon me if I‘m coming on too strong.”
Mr. Marlboro showed no fear in his means of facial expression, body language, or in general all together. He simply wore the same face as before with his hand held where it was.

Pardon me if I'm coming on too strong.
If The Doctors smile could have gotten any wider it would have. His eyes darted around behind Marlboro, exactly what was expected...the man seemed to not know how to play a comic book villain though.Too bad,Mcloy would have milked it had the roles been reversed.
"No pardon is needed my good sir,you did exactly as was expected...though bullets would have been simpler.I can handle myself just fine."
The Doctor said this in a slow manner,as if Mr.Marlboro needed explaining like he was an inquisitive child. The smile faded for a moment as he took the wide brimmed hat from his head and placed it on his knee.He glared at Marlboro, knowing his own eyes couldn't be seen by the man.He lifted the case and placed it atop his thighs.
"As for the case...forgive me,I don't allow it to be away from me at any time unless I am in my own enviornment."The smile returned.
"It contains a syringe and vials of the virus that is keeping me in this...lovely state.Just an F.Y.I,should my face get messed up in this process it will just be back in it's formal shape seconds later. However,i'm sure you already knew this."
At this point Dr.Mcloy wondered if Marlboro knew he was armed,he wasn't going to tell him if he didn't ask.The virus and his precious .357's were his and his alone until further notice. They would also prove fruitless unless he knew where that marksman was, which The Doctor knew was in the shadows somewhere behind Marlboro.
"Shall we get to business then Mr.Fitch?Forgive the nickname...i assume a man like you is well read?"The hat was replaced and the smile un-wavering.

The casual demeanor of The Good Doctor was met with a hearty bow from the likes of Mr. Marlboro himself. Smooth steps were issued that then moved Marlboro away from the chair and into the shadows once more. The way that his tone would carry from this point forward was much more amused than the shifty monotone demeanor usually shown. The kind of tone that made one think that this little meeting was much more of a fruitless game than a actual means of recruitment. From the shadows, the words would speak smooth a venomous like a serpent. Dark hollowed tones mixed with a cheerful upbeat chord made for one heck of a combo. The delicate words were spoken with a smooth venom, “ I am in fact as well read as I am traveled, Doctor. That may in fact be the reason why we have decided to have this fated interaction, wouldn’t you think? Though, it pains me to think that what was once one of the greatest minds in the ’Industry’ fell to it’s own project. Tsk. Tsk. But, these things do tend to happen, do they not? Rhetorical question of course. My main question would be if this new image was intentional…”
Mr. Marlboro would adjust his coat slightly as the crest on this sleeve would beep twice in a gentle pulse. Following that, his hand signal now faded as well. Sharp eyes now cut the stagnant approach and the quirky way of speech was replaced by a hollow echoed tone, “ … And my follow up would be that if you really wish to secure the goals that were established in the bit of notary that was found regarding your research? You have a interesting history, Good Doctor. Extreme knowledge in the fields of Genetic Mutation and Restorative Cell Growth. I figure those blessings cover up the small blemishes or a fairly large sum of research, funds, and LIVES being stolen from your former, very well known employer. I need to kno-”
The game was merely that- And then the game was no longer a game as a piece of information was silently patched into Mr. Marlboro‘s ear bud. Enough of a bleeding effect in distortion to forewarn The Good Doctor that Marlboro was being spoken to. Mr. Marlboro casually strolled back this entire time never missing a beat and clearly showing that he had no fears following any action that could be played. A gentle brush of his hand across his own shoulder would initiate another protocol to take effect immediately after hearing the silent speaking.
The fluid rush of footsteps from above would issue that of four unarmed security units, armed merely with electronic cattle prods and perhaps a couple cans of pepper spray at the most. The guards were nameless to Mr. Marlboro for the most part minus the number branded to the sleeve of each guard and were part of the TARGET Branches security deportation unit. Two sets of two merely grasped the arms of each of the men in a aggressive formation. Rough blows issued mercilessly as the weakened mercenaries were brought to their feet, de-armed, de-armored, bound with reinforced zip-ties and then gagged with a leather strap. Mr. Marlboro never looked at the action above due to the fact that his eyes were focused toward The Good Doctor the entire time. The security officers acting on behalf of Mr. Marlboro then issued a fair amount of attention from the business end of the cattle prods before moving the men toward the handle-railing of the balcony. Each of the guards would then step back out of site to leave the men there.
“ A favor is now being paid as we speak, Good Doctor. I am paying homage to you by allowing you to send a promising message to a VERY common enemy that you and your research can no longer be infiltrated. BUT, I am allowing you to follow this… little payback… with a choice. Choice A.) A gruesome and otherwise painful death at the hands of my loyal men OR choice B.) Two more units to the slaves I am willing to provide you to perfect your little science projects or C.) You handle them on your own.”
Marlboro did not seem to be bluffing about anything that he had spoken. Everything had happened so quickly that he was hoping The Good Doctor was patient and willing to cooperate. It was then that two badges were flipped from above onto the floor, TRICELL Anti-Terrorism and Peace Restoration Operatives James Blaine and Michael Lamoure were shown bright as day to those that would gander upon the badge. Dr.Mcloy kept his eyes on Marlboro and his shadow as best he could the entire time. The fact that Marlboro was speaking in a light manner to him was a little angering but understandable. It was true the better of the researchers of the industry fell to one virus or another, then died. The Doctor did not intend to be one of them.
"It was a means of survival.I do whatever it takes to survive...something I'm sure you know all about. The appearance was to a degree intentional, perhaps it was a little more severe then planned but...it's of no consequence.Fear is a powerful tool, and it helps when i get to experiment on live subjects."
The Doctor stood slowly after he heard the soft noise of what had to be an earpiece.Once again, something to be expected. All of Marlboro's tactics were to be expected. Not because he knew of the mans habits personally but because he knew the type of man he was.The man who knew he was going to take a lot of pieces off the chess board if he wasn't going to win.The tussle occurred above them without Mcloy looking up,his men were out of the picture so he knew it wasn't any one friendly. Then the tap of the badges hitting the floor,he grabbed them up and glared at them.Still grasping the case in his right hand he placed the badges into an inner coat pocket, then looked over to Marlboro.
"Choice....is not a factor of life i enjoy.Tricell is a minuscule thorn, but there are so many thorns.B is what I will go with.I would love to take care of them myself but my research is more important then having fun,and i am dressed far to nice."The massive grin once again, then it lessened to a thin line.
"Does it bother you than neither of us have said names?Granted the business you do would not demand names be said, not counting of course the small nickname i said previously."No smile.

“ Names are in fact a most unimportant construct, Doctor William Mcloy. Or should I refer to you by another source? Your name means nothing these days, I regret to inform you. The enemy would just pin your prestigious qualities to a name and then spread discouragement from their venomous traps. They would count your atrocities towards it and fight in vain to destroy it from their history. They would shun the work you are so committed to only to realize that work would continue regardless. Perhaps the bit of time spent with The Umbrella Corporation would be a focal point to that sort of speak, yes? Or would they remember the time spent at HARVARD? Such a lovely grade point average indeed. From what I see in front of me, William Mcloy is a faded past in a greater beings history. That MAN died with the birth of what sits in front of me,” Mr. Marlboro never was phased for a second and continued his monotone speech, “But, the death of one man usually leads to great accomplishments of another. ”
As Hammond Marlboro stepped forward and The Good Doctor had spoken in matter of choice, a series of grunts were heard from above as the security force took liberty in dragging the two former guards away. Very little resistance was met and the team quickly faded from sight. With the dismissal of the team, the room fell awkwardly silent. The air of traps, guards, and whatever lurked in the shadows moved to a more comfortable setting. A smooth melody of Contemporary Jazz echoed throughout the area from the PA system. As of now there were now no eyes or ears focused on the setting and the tension of possible threats other than The Good Doctor had now become as smooth as marble.
Mr. Marlboro would begin speaking once more, the curves of his mouth issuing each word to be pronounced with vigor, “ You donot follow choices? Choice is all you have at this point, Doctor. From this point forward, every little bit of the choices that you make will effect the fate of an entire race. As you know, the world has become lawless and feeds to the greed and fear of one man to another. The biggest stick tends to solve the majority of issues while a small portion of settlements require a bit of encouragement. Settlements that have experience massive amounts of causalities. Most of these people have met ill fates based on the critical mistakes of MANY Militias and Organizations. There have in fact been very FEW that have wished for the GAME to play out exactly as it has thus far. Brilliant Minds have been lost due to the selfish greed of one man or another. People wished to be GOD, Doctor. Where these men have wished to open unknown doors and recreate the world in their own image… I have acted as Cesar and seized what they left behind in their wake. I realize that man cannot become God, BUT playing it is so much easier.”
Hammond never gave the man a chance to speak, “ Chaos is the only pure quality to complete control, Doctor. This meeting was called the way it not because of my wanting to keep my safety in line, I could care less. It was called because you are being hunted. The ‘others’ that have kept this game running wish to harvest what is in your bloodstream and put your creation to a end. In lay-mans terms, no matter how unstable your prototypes ’change’ was, my competitors wish to see the differences in your current genes. I, on the other hand, find your work to be fascinating and wish to provide you with whatever resources you need to sustain the integrity of it. You are worth more to me continuing your research than on a slab.”
Once the bit of chatter on that worn subject was spoken, Hammond then smiled with a slight bow, “ My name is Hammond Marlboro Esquire. Your memory must be fleeting, or media news must be unimportant to a man such as yourself. I envy that, of course… Politics do tend to get rather BORING.”

(I apologize for the small size of my response's but it's rather hard for me to give as much as you.I'm sure you understand, and I hope it's good enough."
Dr.Mcloy listened intently to every word Marlboro said.It was quite inspirational in fact.He like to listen and watch, then act...impulse was something he never really had.His eyes scanned Marlboro's face all the while he spoke. It was true,William Mcloy really didn't exist any longer,he died and this new creature took his place.
It was now said clearly what is what. The Doctor was being protected in essence and fact by Mr.Marlboro, and his research was to continue. The man was as good with words as he was with ominousness. The Doctor's smile once again returned in full vigor.
"My memory is as good as ever, but i never did pay much attention to the media.I understood and respected it's power over man...but it had little to no power over me.Hmmm..."
Mcloy looked at Marlboro for quite some time with the same monstrous grin, then finally spoke.
"I am in your hands,Mister Marlboro."

2330 Local Time --------------------
There had been a gush of wind being pushed from the east. A murmur in the distant seemed to imply the onset of a coming storm. Just as unexpectedly as the weather had changed, so did suddenly come an iron overcast of metallic shapes. There had been a dozen of them. Military helicopters bristling with heavy weapons and screaming rotaries that dashed into the air. As one they flew in unison, crossing the singular skyline of a lowly abandoned office building, here was a flock of hunters looking for prey. Yet just as they had appeared, so were they gone- leaving only echoes that rang about in their wake.
“Command, this is Legion Actual, UMBSPEC team one has reached the rendezvous point, how copy?”
A third party had been etching towards the seemingly abandoned six storied derelict. Iron jackboots softly crumpled grass on a brazenly unkempt lawn. Darkly clad figures bled from twilight. They brandished high-end assault rifles at the ready. Their infrared goggles were like demonic eyes, howling for souls to subject.
“Legion, this is Command. We detect your presence in the Area of Operations. High Value Target has been identified via UAV. Eliminate the HVT, and recover the sample. Fire support assets are operational. If you fail to contain the situation, we will shell the area.”
“Oh, and remember, Dark Wolf. When we HUNT, we KILL. -Command, out.”
With a casually arrogant air, the pack leader of these shrouded soldiers takes a single step forward. Scanning the department complex for a brief second, he produces a ‘Gitanes’ cigarette. The cancer stick is then lighted by a gold plated lighter: a lighter baring the former crest of the Umbrella Corporation, flanked by a dagger and a shield. Almost loitering about, the man turns to his team.
“Legion Actual copies, UMBSPEC team one commencing Operation: Ascension.”
Thunderous crackle stemming from the discharge of automatic firearms announced the arrival and return of Francis Abney, the Dark Wolf. As one ‘Legion’, a team of mercenaries that belonged to one of Umbrella’s surviving factions, made their assault. They attacked from a loose wedged formation, flanking an armored car park beneath their targeted destination.
“Armored vehicle, one hundred meters, deploy the forty mike-mike!”
A single High-Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP) round bursts through the air, twirling about in midflight for several seconds before smashing into the bulletproof windows of the armored car. Reinforced glass is splintered as metal gets torn, the vehicle literally shrieks with its passengers are brutally mutilated by the force of arms.
“Bienvenue dans le monde de la survie et l'horreur...”

Operation: Ascension The cackle of the a unknown communications line was highly identifiable to the main computer operations team. After spending a whopping twelve seconds fishing looped lines and making mountains out of mole hills, Beta Seven finally did her damn job and made a miracle happen. The severed line was quickly spliced with loss data and a few nifty tricks to patch the Operator: SPEAKER into the hard line and give full access to fundamental needs. The stream of information poured into the visual screen with little to no conflict at all. Now it was like it was suppose to be, back when this sort of thing really mattered. The data became hard-wired into the feed of visual intelligence and suddenly was referred to Hammond Marlboro, Speaker of Tricell Special Forces. The Ascension Logo was the primary block usuage emblem for anyone trying to patch through and a genuine Gamma Firewall was installed by Beta Seven to dispatch any attempts to hack into the Safe Line. Operations controls like these were what placed Mr. Marlboro in a league of his own. The flood of information being what Mr. Marlboro had gained so much success from.
“ Initiate, Failsafe 31298,” Mr. Marlboro soon spoke to his private militia through the communications link via system check. The systems check was nothing more than his own voice speaking into a small operations PDA. What he spoke of would soon be acknowledged but he would continue before the operator could speak, “ I believe we have a uninvited group of guests. See to it that they are properly welcomed.”
The operator soon came through with a ’As a matter of fact’ nature to her speech, “ Roger that, Sir. Three One Two Niner Eight is at your disposal. Coded seven, two, eight. Do you wish to deploy said Failsafe… Sir?” Mr. Marlboro would place his guard at the ready, his back turned to The Good Doctor for only a moment before turning back to him and speaking directly, “ You may want to ready your arms, Doctor. Once the visual check comes through… we may be-”The car that was parked outside had just been shredded into shrapnel with a massive explosive charge to follow in the wake of it. The thunderous appeal of such a grunted motion seemed to paint the past into Marlboro’s head. He pictured the vehicle launching into the air mid stride. The photo lodged in his mind wishing to see the look on the drivers face as his life instantly ended. The bellowed assault would then make way for a echoed crash to indicate that the vehicular assault was finished. The Good Doctors means of transportation was just ended with what most likely was one well executed attack. The sounds of debris raining from the sky followed shortly, death from above to rest at the bellow. “ Proceed with primary defensive functions, Mr. Marlboro,” The operator spoke with the same business demeanor. With her words being spoken, the sudden sounds of a rumbling noise soon shook the grounds outside. Rocks and loose cement skipped and jumped as the sound of metal scraping asphalt rung through the air. Giant containment tubes would rise from the ground with a elaborate hiss sound to follow the visual. Each of the original eight tanks that rose bore the Tricell Insignia on the side. Each one of the tanks also blinked with the display of colorful red and blue lights. Beeping noises occurred briefly, but would soon end and make way for a more drawn out hiss. The containers internal air decompressed with the outside air and created a sort of mist-like substance all around it that swirled about. Large panels of the tubes then fell forward with a loud clank. Large amounts of thick mist continued to escape the frame of the container as a growl permitted from within. The operator then spoke through the communications relay, “ Our immediate transmissions have made your company a ‘Special Cargo’ as well, Sir. Anything that does not show up friendly in our databases will be terminated.”Eight pods reacted simultaneously. From within the container reached an outstretched reptilian hybrid hand. The massive length of the nails did not match the overall length of the claws that protruded from them. A primal hiss followed the hands evacuation of the pod. The hiss moved in tempo more towards a large overburdened roar that seemed to echo throughout the outside of the parking lot. Mr. Marlboro then turned to The Good Doctor once more with a blank expression, “ You are a priority target to ’Our’ competitors, Doctor. There is no doubt in my mind that this little interruption was not planned in advance. A leak in security perhaps. Improbable, but nonetheless apparent. No worries, though. I take pride in my countermeasures. What people have come to expect is not what gets them killed. Overestimation leads to underestimation and does the job just as well. These operatives know they are walking into a trap and believe that they are most likely ready for anything, but what they don’t know is which trap is the one that will fault them.”The data that streamed through his palm analyzer was that of the eight containers and their inhabitants. The joys of having the means to massively produce Bio-Organic Weaponry meant that one could toy with the fundamentals of what made them tick. In the case of what had just been activated, this little Fail-Safe in the publics eye was no more than a field test in the eyes of Mr. Marlboro. These creatures were Reptilian-Human gene splicing games as per usual to create a stroke of Hunters, but what differed was what set them to be field tested. Instead of the run of the mill attempt to make a the ultimate B.O.W. , Hammond downgraded the intelligence and added more primal instinct to the batch. This eight was half of the original test subjects that had proved faulty in Tricells eyes due to the fact that they could not be fully trusted to carry out complex missions. But, they had succeeded once at doing what Mr. Marlboro wished for them to. These things were created to find people and kill them. In addition to the added gene quality was the downgrade of bulk and a much more slender approach. The claw length was also increased to add a bit more range to the feral attacks. In regards to the slender approach, the weapons were also fitted to have extreme agility and endurance. Taking a bit of the shielding added for the beasts to be able to rush opposition without a problem and decapitate enemy soldiers with a feral rage. The shattered security vehicle was quickly a prime target for the beasts to rush out into the open. Each one carrying out a scanning routine of the area through a computer-like thought process. These creatures were hard-wired into Ascension Visuals and each item they viewed had a physical and data appearance in their mind. For instance, one recognized the make and model on the vehicle with additional intelligence promoting that ’pieces missing’ or ’subject not whole.’ With the readings flooding the area and scanning modes on high alert, it would only be a matter of time before the intruders would fall into range and combat would be initiated once and for all. Mr. Marlboro tilted his head while placing the computing device into a firm grasp. His smooth tone floated toward The Good Doctor, “ If our ’friends’ manage to secure access, you will need to be able to protect yourself. I am quite aware that you are armed, are you not? I have a sneaking suspicion that my B.O.W.s will merely pose a nuisance. You are now a primary asset to Ascension and your safety is a priority. If I am forced to release the next Fail-Safe, then you will need to handle yourself in combat. Agreed?”[/blockquote]

Through the midst of smoke and fire advanced the silhouette of four figures. As always, the Dark Wolf had led his corporate hounds from the front. They were like undying ghosts advancing from grave to grave, crisply leapfrogging from cover to cover, and unleashing controlled barrages upon barrages against their hapless foes. Here was the legacy of some dark sin, these guardians of insanity, the would-be left overs of sheer power gone mad. ‘Legion’, members of the 3rd Umbrella Security Services Platoon, Delta Unit had continued their endless war, long after Spencer’s mighty pharmaceutical company had sunken under. None of the human combatants had been mighty enough to oppose them, as one by one, the henchmen whom blocked their way into the rusted office complex felled with bullet shattered bodies.
"Tuez-les tous, kill them all!” One could almost feel the disdain stemming from his luscious southern French accent. It was like the sound of cashmere softly brushing up against the tip of a Kalashnikov bayonet. Francis Abney, the Dark Wolf did not per say hated the enemy, rather he considered that these armatures had not been up to par. To earn the ire of the U.S.S. was to engage an enemy that fought as ferociously as the Wehrmacht. To earn the ire of the U.S.S. that was employed by the Umbrella White Division was to fight a foe as ruthless as the Schutzstaffel.
A cigarette butt felled limply to the ground, stomped out a second later by the heel of a combat boot. The corporate commandos were decked in midnight, hidden behind gasmasks, protected by superior Dragon Skin body armor, and topped with tactical gear. They brandish various variants of the same weapon. A set of FN Herstal Special operations Forces Combat Assault rifles version Large loaded with 7.62 NATO steel-core rounds: SCAR-Ls. Each rifle had been adjusted to fit a role, a grenadier wielding an under barreled grenade launcher, marksman having an ACOG, automatic rifleman fitted with an ammunition drum. All were fitted suppressors to minimize both muzzle flash and sound. The Dark Wolf pulls down his modified S10 re-breather, once more hiding his strangely feminine face behind a mouth less mask with angry crimson orbs.
“Ammunition check!” The battlefield was an uncertain place that required one to constantly be in the moment. Without being overwhelmed, the Dark Wolf had resolved to maintain situational awareness by constantly being aware of his unit’s fighting abilities. His pack responded without delay.
“I’ve only discharged the bloody forty mike-mike, boss” came a labored and uneven vocal tone: Shadow. Legion’s designated grenadier had been a psychotic Scottish man that was perpetually one pill away from ‘friendly-fire’.
“I’m alright, expended five rounds, and caught five throats.” That was monotonous voice of an indoctrinated soul: Starfire. A long time ago, she had been a lapdog of the UBCS that attempted to rebel. The Lord of White Umbrella himself personally saw to her punishment. Now she existed as an obedient dog of battle, a human weapon platform, nothing more- nothing less.
“There is plenty more to go around.” Apollo never considered himself to be under the Dark Wolf’s command. If anything, he had been placed into Legion to keep an eye on the Canine of War. Apollo was one of Xavier’s comrades. Rumor was that he was involved with the White Queen affair, the Raccoon City Operation which led to White Umbrella’s division from the rest of the corporation: the reason why they continued to exist.
Dark Wolf had been about to lead his unit into the targeted compound when communications had buzzed into his earpiece.
“Legion 6-1, Legion Actual, this is Death Eye, be advised: sensors detecting low leveled radio spectrum signals responding to our communications with you. Unmanned Ariel Vehicle deployed in your area also indicates massive amounts of heat signatures moving below ground level- recommending extreme caution!”
It had been a while since Francis heard from Lex. The Canine of War was surprised that his former love interest was now their team’s communications and surveillance support. His smirk was evident when he spoke.
“Death Eye, this is Legion Actual, are we compromised, over?”
“Legion Actual, Death Eye and U.S.S. Command deploys the use of frequency hopping communications with an analog Transmission Security Key, furthermore communications is handled by manned personnel via code, we are incapable of being intercepted. However, chatter detection is a possibility, recommend radio discipline, over.”
“Legion Actual acknowledges-“
Their dull and proper flirting had been cut short by a series of sudden eruptions coming from ground level. Eight pods had appeared from seemingly nowhere, their stainless steel hatches hissing with malicious intent. If that were not enough, the corporate insignia from a rival organization confirmed their sinister nature. As one, the corporate commandos snapped into line formation, tactically retreating about thirty meters from the nearest pod in record time, finally resting behind a concrete rise from the ground which acted as natural cover. The Umbrella Security Services taskforce did not consist of fools that blindly rushed into battle without accounting for hostile terrain. Hidden behind a low profile, weapons forward, they had waited for their unknown enemy’s next move.
“Somehow, I doubt we’ll be engaging a conventional counterattack.” The Dark Wolf muttered.
It was then when the pods literally exploded in primal rage, oversized metallic eggs, hatching out ungodly creatures from a forbidden science.
“Bio-Organic Weapons- Hunters?!” screamed a surprised Starfire. The designated marksman had once worked with the creatures before an awful near death incident. Like many U.S.S. teams after Operation Raccoon City, their team had once been integrated to fight alongside Bio-Organic Weapons.
“Negative, unknown modified MA121 model.”
Abney coldly corrected from the iron sights of his assault rifle. He let loose a barrage of successive shots. Steel-core rounds cut into the air, before slamming into the flesh and heart of the nearest modified Hunter beast. This type of ammunition was designed to penetrate level three body armor. Toughen reptilian flesh meant very little against such fire power. Despite appearing and sounding so fearsome, the creature’s dying cries were but whimpers, even the sound of yet another under barreled launched grenade had been louder. Two more creatures had been neatly maimed and incapacitated. By the time Apollo let loose with the fury of his weapon, the creatures were intelligent enough to take cover. They were effectively pinned by standard infantry tactics.
With that, the Dark Wolf signaled Shadow and left formation, leaving the automatic rifleman and the markswoman to keep the enemy out of range. The two shades then proceeded to stomp from cover to cover, until they moved into a position to attack the hiding Hunters from an exposed flank. Round after round of more ammunition was expended, leaving only foul smelling genetically altered Swiss cheesed animal corpses in their wake.
“All quiet. Resistance pacified. Legion is advancing."

It took no less then five seconds for The Doctor to realize what was happening. He stood there, the grin wiped from his face. They were under attack, and he was the target. How could Marlboro allow this to happen? He was the best and very highly prepared...yet they were being attacked and their vehicles had been destroyed.
"Of course."The Doctor retorted to Marlboro's suggestion to arming himself.
He pulled one of his silver .357's with a laser attached to it from it's holster. He kept it aimed at the floor and flipped the safety off.In all honesty he didn't know what good it would do against the men outside,he'd gotten through armor with this before but he was prepared then. This was un-expected and though he had faith in Mr.Marlboro...he probably didn't know what the hell was going on or how heavily armed the attacker's were.
"You can't leave me alone, what would necessitate that you leave me?What could you do that your men can't?Any how,you may be correct in saying your B.O.W's will only pose as a holding off...but this may be a perfect time to test my virus on something larger than a human if you have something not put in use yet."
Mcloy felt the need to get closer to Marlboro without being right next to him,so he moved up.The B.O.W's were getting shot down at a fast rate, his regenerative virus could make them harder to take down...but he needed a subject quick while they had time.
"I am a scientist dammit not a soldier.I would also like to ask,how are we getting out of here? They have the front covered,so i hope you have a helicopter...I'm a pretty good pilot by the way."The Doctor knew the humor would be lost in the situation but...hell,it was worth a shot.
Mcloy backed away from the doors once more and looked around. He spotted the area from which Marlboro came earlier, they needed to go up.Sooner or later the attackers would surround the building, but so far they weren't coming from up top,and unless Marlboro had a luxurious underground drill fit for two they were going to be flying out of here.

A barrage of sounds fluttered from outside the building once more as the distant sounds of B.O.W.s falling became more and more apparent. Step one was completed, the first priority being to find out if these soldiers were familiar with them. Of course, they had to be more than familiar with them to take them down like pathetic rag dolls merely blocking their path. That would mean that those that were approaching either had god-like means of reading the enemy or had once read the bio-grade material that they were composed of. A idiot could have put two and two together saying that these men that were approaching had worked for Umbrella at one point or another. Even though the Hunters had folded, Hammond knew that those toys were merely play things to test the theory of the approaching gunfire being more than BSAA or Government Officials. No, the takedowns were much to fluid to be of that caliber. These men knew what they were hitting and how they were hitting it. Even Tricell Spec Ops did not have that kind of information to perform so fluidly. The game of craft was what sat Hammond Marlboro away from the others.
Mr. Marlboro cleared his throat and then adjusted his collar, his voice spoke low and in a near whisper, “ We are not going anywhere for the time being, dear Doctor. If things are as they always are… The information leaked will reach multiple tiers of Agencies. Thus, the way things usually are have enemies of our enemies poking about. That being said… we wait and see who exactly shows up and if the agendas of separate parties mesh together. If they don’t, they are likely to kill one another. If they do, there is always a series of back-up plans put into motion.”
Marlboro then gave a smile that did not quite fit the situation at all, “ Does it look like I am the slightest bit worried. Doctor? As for that little toy that you wanted to tinker with… I assume that you would need adequate time to administer it.” Marlboro then hit a few keys on his data pad, thus releasing the wall that was hiding his entrance. Bellowing smoke of decompressed air swirled into site as a hallway then opened. Multiple turrets, count of four, lined the ceiling each fitted with acid laced armor piercing rounds. The turrets were not so much set into place as Anti-Infantry as they were Anti-BOW. Each one of the turrets hummed to life as they followed the form of the Doctor until registry cleared the facial features and general body heat. All of this was taken from him as they spoke before and the point to blame would be one of the many security cameras that had littered the corners and ceilings. The body heat of the being was taken from the pass through the main doors. Every little aspect of Target HQ was fitted to be a frequent ’Haven’ of Ascension Agents, though the place itself held no further evidence other than the two being here.
“ Through this little corridor will be what you need, mind your step,” Marlboro turned to the console to the direct left of it, arming the security drones and tripping the silent alarm in the process, “ … These people will be quite pleased to see the work that was put into this little arrangement, Doctor. I assure you that after the next thirty minutes… they will be more grateful to breathe if they are still blessed with the miracle.”
The wall that the Good Doctor and Mr. Marlboro had entered sealed suddenly and with the sealing of the door came a large number of clicks and pops that indicated the door was now sealed shut. The large dummy door could easily be seen through thermal tint or echo transmitters, but to the naked eye it was nothing more than another wall. The entire stretch of wall was made to withstand heavy weapons fire and would take a EXTREMELY HOT source to burn through it. For the most part, this entrance would become obsolete due to the next trap to follow in the place of the door sealing.
A thick noxious purple gas began to pour from vents all over the interior of the facility, moving with a serene grace as if it were alive and on it’s own. Security feed showed the men that were dawned in Security gear, each one now becoming wrapped in the tantalizing distress of the unknown vapor. Each one now stumbling, holding their throats as if some sort of vice had grabbed them and refused to let go. Twisting forms soon became stumbling drunks, grasping and grabbing whatever was to fall into their grasp. They would not attack it like mindless oafs, instead they would engaged with whatever was not affected with martial skill. Swift blows to the head with forearms and elbows, out of the sixteen present four managed to withstand the gas a proceed to escape the vapor. The others were having absolutely none of that as their now more advanced forms lashed out and beat the opposing guards senseless with their bare hands. Blood and gore poured onto the scene with the beaten corpses being showed no mercy. Those that stood triumphant did not stagger, nor moan, nor mindlessly feast off the remains of the others. Instead, they looked as though they were patrolling the area now. Each one showing a haze in their eyes that was both absent and hollow.
These men were no longer men and were infected with a curious new agent. The physical might from the direct contact of the agent was like a pure injection of steroids into the system. A great deal of ongoing stress was done to the subjects minds, altering them into a more primal form. As time goes on, they will show signs of increased physical strength and endurance until the compound that flows through their veins stops it’s means of flowing through the veins. These men are physically capable of ’Superhuman’ abilities but lack the wisdom or self control to think on their own save attacking whatever falls in their sight without their gene pattern. The constant stream of gas will provide them with complete nourishment to hold off intruders that stumble across them. Once the vents depleted the massive amounts of compound, the subjects will no longer be able to sustain their state and will either die or fall into a deep coma.
Mr. Marlboro turns to a security feed as he stands side by side with The Good Doctor, “ Pheromones and Genetic Splicing from the Feeder Project, Doctor. The vapors constantly make contact with the subjects cells, thus keeping them ’hooked in’. Save for the fact that the vapors themselves will eventually over-power the subject and destroy the cells within their body in the state, the Subject can increase in strength and speed without any risk strange mutations. The only draw back was that the rapid decrease in cell degeneration and the apparent lack of free will that came along with it. There is always a locked door to pick open, Doctor, what you see before you is the FUTURE. The T-Virus, G-Virus… each had it’s run and now it meets up with the Feeder. Stabilization of cell mutation actually runs together with the offset of the TG-Compound. Come to think of it, I believe that the process makes the rapid cell growth without the mutation enter a ’Merry-go-round’ effect. The increase of strength and speed is there, without the drawback of a unneeded mutation. But, every project has a drawback… this one would be that the second they quit breathing in that vapor… the subjects will fall to the floor… and as soon as the vapor has run it’s course… We will have the joy of watching the ’mistake’ part of this little test run… will most likely just be something far greater... tearing this facility apart.”

Episode 3 Part 2| a higher plane The earth is blue.Or, rather, it was blue. A thought given amnesty from thin patience slipped around the airborne girl's mind amongst nothing but the sound of her controlled breaths; the cusp of her breathing apparatus fogging up with each exhale. Curvature of the earth was visible below with a crisp, white horizon splitting between black and blue. White clouds blanketed the earth in swirls and waves, churning and splitting in its omnipotent presence. While above rested the black void masking oblivion that hid behind it. A sensation of limbo effortlessly cascaded over Aya as her lips sucked in more oxygen, sitting on the edge of the abyss like an abandoned ghost. She checked her altitude just to keep her mind on the current assignment. "63,000 feet. Climbing," her lost monotone reported to someone on the other end of a wire, resting her arm after the indicator ticked up a few more digits. Turning her attention above; the hot air balloon’s burner had automatically reduced its flame, the enormous envelope rippled with the rise. 48 hours earlier the transport had been deployed out of the Canadian wilderness, bordering the state of Minnesota, carrying only one passenger in its metal basket. Intel suggested a deal was being brokered between two individuals, one hailing from the age of Umbrella while the other was directly tied to Tricell. Both of them sparked ire in the solemn daughter; her tenacity rattling its rusty cage, begging for blood. Another thorn amidst plans emerged, the persistent thunder of the Red and White emblem still emblazoned against the earth. It almost appeared as if everything Aya hated had been thrown into a barrel leaving her free to leap in and tear it all to pieces. However that jump was important. Marlboro, Tricell, employed nefarious habits of creating plots overlapping plans covering every shadow with thick illumination. Obtaining 'surprise' over the man was something heavily paid for; Aya's means of infiltration hoped to penetrate the light of knowledge with pitch-black unknown. Even if her arrival were realised, nothing would keep the wrecking ball from swinging. Even though the ivory girl could feel it she glanced at her altitude again, standing up, "64,000 feet. Engaging," with a simple brisk step the sleek figure launched from the giant, grey canopy; falling into the sky like a black tear drop. Acting small and fast became the advantage, emerging quickly and unnoticed until the final advent moment. There was still plenty of time to consider how anything could go wrong, only Aya was too busy telling herself everything would be right as her figured vanished amongst the clouds. Blind and deaf, gravity lead her out the other side of the bleached veil revealing the dark Minnesotan landscape below. Once a decent altitude had been met Aya tore off her breathing apparatus and its tank, removing the altimeter along with it. The less she had upon entry, the smoother it would be. Speaking as such invoked stress on inventory leaving her FNP-9 as the only immediate source of firepower, strapped to her left thigh. One other weapon remained packed, tied over her back, if worse became worst. Like it always did. Distance between the falling darkness and earth had finally minimized bringing about the second phase of descent, Parachute seemingly missing from her back. Aya held out her arms and legs leaving freefall; dark fabric immediately emerged forming a wing suit around her limbs, her form turning to a crow in flight. Minneapolis was finally in sight, its skyline reaching up from the ground; concrete blocks hoping to grab hold of something that would pull them away from the mistreatment of the earth. Aya dared to enter the solemn domain, void of power and life, gliding past the dead buildings while bringing herself all more closer to street level. Aya's pupil shimmered as a red hue glazed over, a thermal FoV sent through her optic nerve revealing her point of interest. Her lenses flicked over zooming on the priority targets, showing the floor they stood on. She levelled herself out, burning down South 10th street, locked onto the final point of infiltration. Red figures stood out, fighting with one another. With a tug on a cord the wing suit stripped away allowing freedom of movement. Aya held her fists together over her head, pressing her biceps against her ears, turning her entire body into a spear. She made it halfway across the room before the window could shatter, Aya's eyes spotting the Black Umbrella patch on the arm of the soldier she had chosen to eviscerate during entry. The armour clad man was carried to the other side of the room, blown out through the wall and into the next office. Multiple reports resounded from the recent arrival as she made sure he was well and truly dead.

Mcloy was eager to get away from the gunfire and into a safe haven. He watched the turret's "scan" him as he walked into the wall.He nodded as Marlboro explained the creatures that were just created outside. It was albeit interesting, but there were problems.Problems could be fixed however, and he was sure he could help. For the time being though he had work to do,a tank to run down their un-invited guest.
The Doctor began by taking off his coat and placing it on a near by chair. He kept his weapons in their holsters and left the holsters on his shoulders,he pulled on his gloves and walked over to a small computer.Seeing as how this building was apparently being used by Marlboro and his people it was already prepped. All he needed to do was type in the specifications he needed to commence his little operation. It would have to be quick, quickness was something The Doctor was good at when it came to things like this.
"I will begin shortly Mr.Marl..."
Before Mcloy could finish the sentence a near sonic boom sound occurred and the surroundings shook.Dr.Mcloy looked over to the security feed Marlboro was watching and grimaced...there was no way Hammond had planned for whatever that was.It looked human, but the impact that came with it was in no way of human capabilities. However, this could have been a great opportunity for the two of them the attackers would have a new temporary target. They might even kill it for them,by then Mcloy would have his B.O.W ready and it could take care of whoever was left standing.
"Can your creations take care of her?I hope they can at least fend her off for a little,if she can launch a man through a wall like that...she may be able to destroy our Berlin Wall."The Doctor may have seemed a little worried, but he was not in the least.
He turned back and moved for his Silver case as one of Marlboro's Hunters appeared in it's casing.Where it had come from The Doctor didn't know, and didn't care.It was here so he could begin, the procedure would be simple enough...but the effects would take time to kick in.He popped open the case and removed a vial, then moved behind the Hunter's casing and pressed on a panel. The panel popped open and The Doctor slid in the vial, the virus in the vial would be fed into the Hunters blood stream and it would begin to morph with the T-Virus that was currently in it.
The resulting beast would heal extremely fast, but with every injury it's body would mutate beyond it's mental capability to control. It was sure to be dismembered by whatever heavy firepower remained outside, but it would compensate with the quickness it already had and its armored skin.If he had more time it would not have the mutation problem, but the circumstances didn't allow for "If".The hunter would lose control and begin attacking anything in it's path, but it would heal as rapidly as it would take damage.Eventually it will "Self Destruct" under the physical pressure it will take, but hopefully that will be after it's done it's job.
"The virus will take a few minutes to circulate through the system Mr.Marlboro...but the wait should be worth it.Unlike your purple friends this won't need a constant sustenance,it's all in the blood. The hunter will heal as rapidly as it will take damage, but if it survives the battle we should be able to take it down easily."
