Amanda scrambled away after Clarissa had shot off the leeches, running into the hallway for cover. But she stopped and slid around, seeing that the others werent following. Hearing Clarissa yell out, Amanda moved back for the Operating Room with her gun drawn and her legs pumping. She could still fee bits of slime and god knows only what falling off of her from the waist down, keeping a careful footing not to slip on the clear liquid. As she aimed her gun around the corner, she heard the shotgun blast off toward the creature, Amanda winced as each shell went off like a crack of thunder in front of her face.
At that time, the monster had back away, allowing Clarissa to get back. But now, there was a gap between the two girls, and the creature was blocking the path with its long arms extended and scraping against the wall. It left a stick trail of fluid pasting over the floor as it walked, Amanda was careful not to step in it just incase she had gotten stuck. Now, she began to fire off rounds from her handgun, trying to get the attention of the monster so Jake could get a few more shells in, and hopefully move past it.

When the bullets from Amanda began to rip through the creature's lean body, it released Clarissa long enough to whipe two tentacles toward the blonde behind it. Jake slid to a halt, slipping on the slime beneath him a little before reaching down to pull Clarissa away from the monster. He threw her back into an empty room they had once crashed in and gestured for Amanda to move away. He knew if he shot at him, the bullets would rip through it and into her as well.
When the young woman moved, he cocked his shotgun and spent two shells at it, the second shot ripping through what was left of it's head. When the monster fell into a slump, the leeches on it's bodie detatched away and began squirming toward both persons in a failed attempt to feast on what they could.
Jake and Amanda both picked their feet up, stomping down on the little bastards. "Don't let them on you, they hurt now!" Jake said, recounting his experience with the monster and it's leeches. The good news was, that they don't infect you. The bad news was, they were a pain in the ass to get off if they clamped down on you.
Back in the other room, Clarissa had sat up, holding onto her head once more. This was the second time she got thrown somewhere and it was getting old really fast. Wincing, she could feel a large cut tracing down her brow to a little above her eyelid. It burned and felt pretty bad, but that notification had been well faded away when she saw five little creepy crawlies inching toward her.
She cringed and struggled to get up, but when she went to move her right arm, it felt like a shockwave of pain. She screamed and held onto her shoulder. It was also injured. Out of place was more the word, actually.
"A little assistance! Leeches try'na eat me over here!" she said, kicking one away only to have it latch onto her boot.
She squinted and made a disgusted face, shaking her foot around violently.

Amanda ran as fast as she could along with the others, hearing the shotgun crack off every now and then. When she looked back, the monster was gone, but not hundreds of those little leeches were crawling around. Amanda held the knife in her hand, and ran over to Clarissa, swiping away with it toward the ground several times. Each time she managed to kills one or two of them, cutting them in half and rendering them immobilized.
Suddenly, during the attempt to slay each of them two by two with the knife, they were quickly becoming more and more grouped together. Amanda felt them crawling up her bare legs, trying to shake them off, but were clinging almost as if they were built into her skin. Tripping down, she could feel them moving over he body now, swinging her own arms to try and brush them off of her. Then out of the air came a loud blast from the shotgun, and she felt a huge impact on her. The shotgun was knocking them off in large amounts, until there was few enough for Amanda to get back up to her feet. They were fleeing back away from the shotgun, and attempted to cluster together again. Amanda saw some bottles of rubbing alcohol on the shelves, and pointed to them. "Burn them!"

Jake lowered his shotgun and glanced back at the rubbing alcohol. He only had two shells left and he didn't want to waste it, breaking bottles. He quickly stomped over, squishing leeches as he went, grabbing the bottles and throwing them down to the ground. With loud crashes and alcohol spraying over the lot, Jake winced and felt around his vest pockets, wipping out a pack of matches.
He struck one and let it drop, blotted fires had engulfed the little critters, burning them into nearly nothing. The older man grasped Amanda's arm and pulled her into the room Clarissa was in, to avoid being burnt.
The lights above flickered on and when they did, the sprinklers, a fire alarm and an automatied announcement over the PA system had gone off. Clarissa groaned, feeling herself be picked up by the hood of her jacket. She glanced up at Jake and then at Amanda momentarily, holding her shoulder.
"Well that was fun." she said, smiling as the fires began to slowly die out from water exposure. The young girl took in a second to realize that the lights were working again. She raised a brow and pointed up.
"Look, the lights came back on...Sweet!"

Amanda stood back up from the ground, feeling the water falling from the ceiling. It was like it was raining indoors, but the smoke was very thick. She had jumped into another room when the fire ignited, and she couldnt see Jake or Clarissa. The smoke had quickly slipped through the vents as the water fell, seems the ventilation worked too. The smell was putrid, but was going away soon, nothing stayed in a hospital. Amanda noticed the lights back on, and a grin came over her, it was great see have light in the place. Finally, looking past the misty room, she saw Jake and Clarissa in an adjacent room.
"Hey, the powers back on!" Amanda spoke out, moving toward them. But once the mist went away, she saw that it wasnt actually them, but two infected that were rising up from the corner of the room. Parts of them were smouldered from the flash fire, but deadly as ever. "You guys there?!" Amanda backed away from the infected, pushing one of the tables in their way to prevent further advancing.

Jake had been tending to the youngest of the group. He knelt down, grabbing on her arm and then firmly placed one hand on his shoulder blade and the other on her shoulder. "Hold your breath and count to three," he told her.
The young girl did as was told, but before she even said the number 1, he pushed her shoulder back into place. Her loud cries were drowned out by the blaring fire alarm, when the sprinklers had suddenly turned on, drenching the trio with cold water. When the flames went out and the thick smoke had began to seep into the halls they could faintly hear Amanda calling out for them.
Jake helped Clarissa up, whom held her arm tightly, tears in her eyes as she tried sucking them back. "Amanda!" she yelled out, trying to walk towards the doorway. Jake followed, moving ahead of her cautiously, handgun in hand.
When they moved into the hall, he could make out two figures struggling to move passed a table. He coughed, pulling his collar over her nose and mouth, Clarissa pulling her jacket over to shield them from any damage.
Jake started banging his weapon on one of the walls, catching the attention of the undead that were now trudging at him. Clarissa moved fast, got around the table and entered the room were the lady was. She saw her backed in one of the farther corners, nerves broken so badly, she looked like she was prepared to cry.
"It's okay, Amanda! We're here, well, I am anyway, Jake's handling some zombies out there. Come on, let's get out of here!" she told her, kneeling down to her and smiling through the horrible pain in her shoulder.

By the time Clarissa had reached her, Amanda had been caughing wildly from the smoke in the room. She didnt have anything but her hands to cover his mouth and eyes, which didnt go over too well at all. She could hear the girl speaking to her, but couldnt see anything, as her eyes began get irritated from the roughness of the smoke. All Amanda could do was get low enough to avoid the smoke, crawling alone the floor before Clarissa arrived. They had to get the smoke out of the floor somehow, the venting system wasnt working, and the windows were designed to not to be opened. The only thing Amanda could think of would be to break them, and then just wait it out, hopefully being able to run on the smoke filled air for just another few minutes.

Clarissa and Amanda had heard the loud crashing of glass. Then another and another. Slowly but surely, the smoke had began to clear up a little at a time, but it was enough to allow their lungs some clarity. Clarissa had moved outward and peeked out of the archway, seeing the two corpses and Jake little ways away, coughing and breaking some of the windows with the end of his shotgun.
"Way to, cough cough, go, Jake!" Clarissa said, giving him a thumbs up. The tanned man shook his head and waved a bit. Turning back to Amanda, the young girl walked over, reaching into her pack once more.
"I got the water I gave ya still. Here, take a drink while I try to clean this mess up, will ya?" she said, handing her the bottle and pulling a rag out. She rubbed at the blood on her face and wiped away some of the excess sweat and soot.
"C'mon, ladies, let's get going. There should be a way out via fire escape," Jake told them from down the hall.

"The fire escape...? You mean..." Amanda wasnt too thrilled about taking a fire escape out of the hospital, that would mean going to the roof, and then climbing down the side of a building. She was scared of heights. But she wouldnt give it away, try to hold out for now, and try her hardest not to be scared when the time came. Amanda went past the hallway closer to the exit stairs to the top, it would be a long walk up, especially if any infected were along the way. Since the elevator is cut out, at least. The water still poured down over her, and she was getting very annoyed and sad about her hair getting soaked. "Alright alright alright, lets just hurry and get to the roof, I dont like being wet..."

[Will is entering from the stairs] "Who set a fire off in here?" He would cough slightly and cover his mouth and nose. Walks into Operating room and notices the windows are broken out. "Hmmmmmmmmm I think I have some rope somewhere around here." He would take his pack off and not notice a infected is sneaking up behind him. The infected would moan loudly before he attacked Will causing Will to quickly turn around and kick the infected out of the window. Will would find some rope in his pack and tie it to between where the windows were he would begin to grapple down the side of the building as the fire would burn the rope Will would fall on his back. [Will is know in the Streets]

(Ashley enters the 3rd floor)
Ashley proceeded down the slippery stone stairs as quietly as he could, seeing as the slap of bare feet against the stone could draw unwanted attention from not so friendly people. He made it halfway down when he slipped on some blood that was still fresh causing him to fall head over heels and to slam into the door. The door slammed open and Ashley fell onto the floor bumping his jaw on the cold, stone surface hard enough to draw blood. He spat out blood that was building up and tried to get up but fell back down. "Sh*t. Just my luck,"Ashley muttered. He attempted to get up again and managed to get to his knees. Ash looked around and noticed that the lights were on thankfully. But what did surprise him was that everything looked burnt and he could smell faint smoke. He saw shells littering the ground and could smell burnt flesh. It was faint, but it was there. "What could have happened here? Looks like I missed one hell of a party,"Ashley whispered. Even though it looks like the power was turned on and the room looked empty,he couldn't risk speaking out loud.
Ash stood up and gingerly felt both of his ankles for any breakage. Surprisingly,he didn't break any bones during that fall which means he was extremely lucky. Ashley took out the flashlight that he took from the 4th floor hoping it will still work after that fall. It failed to work even after Ashley removed and replaced the batteries and even tried shaking and smacking it. It still wouldn't work. "I might not have taken any damage but my flashlight sure did. G****mn it." Ashley looked around the room looking for a way out. There was certainly smashed Windows making the room a bit chilly though, that's a given. But even though Ashley survived the fall down the stairs,he didn't want to take the chance of throwing himself out the window. He's most likely going to die.
While Ashley was standing there thinking about the fastest way to get outside,an infected that survived the fire from before sneaked up on Ashley emitting soft moans. Ashley turned around and saw the infected approaching. "Oh hey. A survivor. Can you tell me what the f*ck happened here? I really need to know". The infected approached Ashley without answering. "Sir? Are you ok? You don't look so good." While Ashley was speaking to the strange person, the person fell on top of Ashley trying to reach for his neck. Ashley let out a yell and collapsed with the thing's body pinning him to the floor. Even though Ashley was a bit weak from the fall down the stairs,Ashley managed to shove the heavier person off of him and crawled away as fast as possible and stood up,shaking and looking shocked. The infected approached him letting out that annoying moan. "Can you ever shut the f*ck up?? You are annoying me." Like always,no answer. Ashley sighed and turned to get some kind of blunt weapon. The infected attempted to fall on Ashley again but he spun around and smacked the guy in the head with a bat that he found on the floor knocking him to the ground. The thing got back up and ran at him. "Holy sh*t!" Ashley backed up to a window as the thing charged him with insane speed and as soon as the thing got near him, Ashley hit the guy in the face with the bat again to knock him off balance and grabbed the man and pushed him out the window. The infected man tumbled out the 3rd story window and went splat on the ground drawing the attention of several undead. "Sh*t. I need to get out of here fast. The ground level is blocked, but since this is a hospital, there has to be a fire escape. And logic dictates that it should be on the roof. I need to get there fast." Ashley ran toward the staircase and ran up to the door that led to the rooftop not caring if it made any sound.
(Ashley is now on the rooftop)
