The two soldiers moved down from their perch, not wishing to lose track of their target. Doing so would be most unwise, especially having informed command that they may have a potential useful target in the area. Many others had come before and they had fell short of fulfilling the expectations of the General. This one however...may be of some use.
Ahead of them, they kept at a distance, sticking to the shadows, eliminating shambling dead as they needed to. The Russians, although armed to the teeth, were making every effort not to use their firearms, to not alert the target to their presence.
Their target seemed to also be on the alert. Ahead of them, she seemed to note the increased number of dead in the street. It was of no real concern to the soldiers. Even if they were to be killed here in the line of service to the cause, it would be to the betterment and restoration of their homeland.
"Target in visual range." one of the men whispered into his radio.
"Ensure that target engages primary test." command ordered back.
The two soldiers looked at each other. The primary test? That was jumping the gun a bit...they still had much more to see before they would even write off that the target could handle such a task, but command was not to be questioned.
Slowly and carefully, the soldiers took aim with the dart gun. The special tracking dart was small, light, and, unfortunately, a dart. They had to aim just right to ensure that she did not realize what had happened. They took the shot.

Lydia continued to move down the road, making sure she was on single fire as she took aim at some of the closer infected. While she didn't want to waste the ammunition or announce where she was, she had to thin out the herd so to speak, at least long enough for her to figure out what to do next. The RPD building was still her best bet, and if she moved quickly enough she could get there before more of the undead found their way into the area.
Three quick shots, and three now truly dead infected later, and she was on the move again. The reports of her weapon would carry, and she was slightly deafened by the shots, but they were necessary risks. She kept up a brisk pace as she continued on her way towards the center of the city, taking another two infected down with patient shots as she went.
Suddenly, she came to a halt. She didn't know what it was, but she felt like she was being watched. She quickly scanned her surroundings, and seeing nothing but a few scattered undead milling in the area, she just shook her head and continued, watching the shadows and corners for anything that may be lying in wait for someone to come by. She decided to try her radio again, with any luck there was someone still monitoring the frequency.
"Is there anyone reading this? Anyone still reading this frequency? Are you hearing this transmission?"

Apparently the dart had struck without the target noticing. The soldiers took a sigh of relief as they settled in for the show that was about to commence. ******************************************************
A loud, prolonged roar let out in the area. It moved slowly, lumbering almost out of the darkness towards Lydia. It's eyes were milky white, it's skin a dull, pale green. It wore what looked like military fatigues. The creature stared forward with it's dead eyes towards Lydia. A wrecked car blocked it's path, and with an ease that would not have been suggested by it's size, the creature moved the wreckage out of it's way. *****************************************************
"R&D should be happy with these results." one of the soldiers said, as his partner took footage. "A live fire testing exercise with the newly developed designs."

Lydia's head snapped towards the direction of the sound. She didn't know what made it, but when the large...thing lumbered into view, she felt her blood run cold. She didn't know who or what it had been before the company had gotten a hold of it, but she knew that she had to find a place to hide until it had gotten out of her way.
She stood rooted as the creature got closer, crushing or slamming aside the undead as they got in its way. When it was finally within 100 yards of her position, her brain finally kicked back into gear and she started running the opposite direction, wanting to put as much distance between herself and the monster before it caught up with her.
She looked over her shoulder as she ran, weaving between disabled vehicles and the slow zombies as she tried to make her escape. She didn't know if shooting at it would be a good idea, but she wasn't interested in finding out. Speed and agility were going to be her best weapons, and while the monster covered twice the distance of a normal man in its stride, her smaller legs were moving quicker, the yards flying under her feet as she ran blindly in any direction that was opposite of it.

The soldiers began to see something odd going on with the creature. It's speed was faltering. It seemed to have labored breathing and was not acting nearly as aggressive as the R&D reports said it should be. Frantically, they switched over from their observations to the mobile data terminal. It confirmed what they were seeing. The creature's heart rate, blood pressure, all were way outside of normal parameters.
"Another failure on the behalf of R&D...."
"Dr. Anders is going to be reamed out for this failure. The General expects results from the good doctor."
"Report it in....and deploy clean up....exterminate the creature."
"And the woman?"
His partner sighed, as he looked back at the female fleeing expertly from the dying beast.
"We continue observation....perhaps she could be of use." ************************
The creature stopped running, it's chest heaving from the exertion from the chase. It roared as it limply flailed it's arms towards the woman, only hitting the air in front of it. Weakly, it took a few steps towards the woman as it took a knee to the ground. It's cold eyes stared with no emotion towards the woman as gunfire echoed from the buildings around it. Men dressed in battle fatigues appeared from out of the darkness, weapons aimed and firing at the creature. Bullets ripped and tore into the flesh of the creature as it weakly flailed out in anger at the men shooting at it. The soldiers kept their distance as two men took firing positions with a rocket launcher. With a tap on the back of his partner's head, the soldier fired the launcher, sending a swift and explosive end to the creature before him.
As the smoke and fire began to dissipate the soldiers turned their attention to the woman, the female soldier.
"Identify yourself!" one of the men demanded, as the others kept their weapons at the ready. "Friend or foe?"

Lydia covered her mouth as the gore continued to rain down from the explosion. She had been exposed to blood and body parts before, but the smell coming from the partially cooked body parts made her retch. As she wiped her mouth, she saw that she was surrounded. She didn't raise her weapon, knowing that if she did they would cut her down before she could fire a single shot. She kept her body language as neutral as possible, and faced the soldier that had been speaking to her, trying not to let her eyes wander to all of the lethal hardware pointed in her direction.
"Friend hopefully. Isn't anyone still alive a friend? I'm Lydia, what group are you with? Are you trying to evacuate too?"
She wasn't going to give them any further information until she found out more about this group and what their business was in the city. Were they the military? Other Umbrella mercenaries?

None of the men lowered their guards as they kept their weapons at the ready.
"Evac?" the commander asked, almost chuckling, his thick Russian accent growling every word. "We have only just begun our fight! Right, comrades?"
The men gave a general murmur of acknowledgement.
"For years we have sought such a place.....a new war to fight.....and we few....we happy few....we have found it....here....on foreign soil no less....against an enemy that just keeps coming..." there was a glee in his voice as he spoke. "We thought the years had dulled us....but no! We are sharper then ever before! We shall fight this war....and everyone after it! We shall see the restoration of our great Rodina!"
The soldier looked back at the woman.
"Not all living....can count as friend....not all living have this understanding of the new battlefield.....do you?"

Jason was running faster than he had ever run in his life. though he did have ample motivation to run as close to the speed of lightning as humanly possible. Notably, the more than dozen Hunter B.O.W's chasing him through Raccoon city.
And he was tiring, They had followed him for almost a dozen blocks after killing his team.
God did he hate the company at the moment. USS for 10 years and they do THIS to him and his team?! they hadn't even failed the damn mission! they were going to pay. That is, IF he got out of this screwed up kill house of a city.
turning the corner, he saw up ahead a curious sight, a lone UBCS operative surrounded by a dozen heavily armed soldiers, and not US soldiers either. he saw the entire group of people turn almost as one to look at him.
"RUN!!!!"
it was about a second after he shouted at the group that the Hunters came around the corner Following him.

Lydia was about to reply when she saw the man come into view, a few moments after his warning the other BOW's came around the corner as well, their claws digging into the pavement as they charged on, chasing their prey and finding new targets to kill.
"CONTACT RIGHT!"
She brought up her assault rifle and let off a short burst, knocking one back but not killing it. Remembering that they were vulnerable only from the rear or in the face, she turned and fired at one she could kill, letting a full auto burst hit one clearly in the back as it tried to chase after a fleeing soldier. That was one down, there were many more to go.

"Stand to!" the commander roared, as the BOWs entered into the killzone.
The soldiers acted as a cohesive unit, each man taking up their weapons and firing at individual targets. The high impact rounds tore into the skin of the creatures like knives through butter. They had come prepared, they had been into situations not much different from this one in simulations back at the training grounds. The Umbrella scientists had been useful in that one part, recreating the genetic monsters that they had helped the corporate scum inventing.
One of the soldiers ran out of ammo at an inopportune moment. The hunter charged him, knocking him off of his feet and onto the cold street. He gave a cry as he drew forth a frag grenade from his belt as the creature jumped onto his fallen body.
"For Rodina!" he cried. His comrades, hearing this, took cover. The explosion ripped the creature to shreds, along with the soldier.
As the creatures thrashed on the ground, their reptile brains dead but the muscles still firing, the soldiers turned their attention back to the two strangers.
"Monsters in the darkness come to the fight....only to find monsters waiting for them...." the commander muttered, as he saw the back of the female's uniform. "Umbrella...you are a soldier in their pockets?"
He spat on the ground as he drew his weapon on her.
"You sell yourself to them....not for glory....not for honor....you fight for money! Capitalist dog!"

Lydia didn't raise her weapon, she knew better than to do something that fatally stupid. Instead she lowered hers and spit on the ground, keeping the newcomer in her field of vision as she decided what to do next. Throwing her lot in with this group wasn't a great idea, but until something else came along, she would play the part, and then make a discreet exit when the time came.
"I don't work for them anymore. Things like this, the undead...the company left us here to die. Now I'm a freelancer."
She looked about, seeing that the gunfire and explosion had begun to draw the undead to them, and soon they would find themselves surrounded. She didn't want to be in the open anymore than she had to, and made her decision. There was safety in numbers and if she was lucky she could escape the city and the European psychos before they decided she was expendable.
"Let's get out of here before we're surrounded. The RPD station might still be manned, and have weapons and supplies. I don't want to be eaten alive on the streets."

Jason was still breathing heavily, but he was getting his wind back. he had stopped running a bit after the gunfire started, and it stopped quickly, these guys were good. shame about the grenade guy but luck and timing are a fickle pair.
He took off his gasmask, spit onto the ground, took a few more breaths, and drew his pistol.
before anyone could do anything he shot the 2 infected coming up behind the eastern European commander.
"I would take the ladies suggestion. staying here is stupid and would be a waste of ammunition. speaking of which."
Jason quickly brought his bag around and dug through the spare ammunition, grenades and rations, bringing out the damn tracking device they put in before the mission.
"we should really get away from this thing." he said tossing it into what looked like a lingerie shop.

"Indeed...." the commander replied. He turned back to his men, gave a hand signal, and instantly, the soldiers formed up into rank and began to move out of the area.
"If you wish...you may follow....but we are watching you." ****************************************************** Above, the two soldiers who had been monitoring the situation nodded at the commander's words. They began to pick up their gear when their radio sounded off in their ears.
"Report." the gruff voice of the General barked.
"Target has been found by local unit of Patriots. Unit is moving out of area....seems that target will be following." the soldier answered.
"Ensure that you keep in visual contact. Observe all actions....see if target is fit." ***********************************************************
The Russians began to move down the streets, rifles at the ready, with only one man designated at fireman. They moved slowly, but fluidly down the street, dispatching only a few of the undead as they did so. ****Russian soldiers are now moved to the RCPD Front Gate area**** OOC: You guys can post first in the gated area
