looking at his shotgun he thought i've only used a few other guns and never any machine gun even though i've always liked how a p 90 shoots!"I think this will work plus i picked up this NINE but it needs ammo. i've never used any auto-matic guns, although i did shoot a auto-matic shotgun my dad's friend had once." he said confidently "but if you think a different gun will increase our odds i'm willing to try something new!" he said with the hope of maybe a P 90 but not expecting it.

"A gun is better then gun." Andrew said. he moved the heating device on the dashboard so it wouldn't burn his lap. In a city so dead, the airport seem to be the only safe haven around here. At a airport? He hoped for his sake that they weren't letting anyone on plains. They probabaly had too arrest loters at these times as well. " so the airport" He gave a curt nodd and look at the side door mirror.

Lilly put the truck in gear and floored the accelerator. Then she turned at the next right and headed back to the Airport.
"We'll see about another gun. I'll leave it up to you, but I've come to find that one should stick to the gun one knows best. If you are familiar with the shotgun, I'd say stick with it. Of course, if we can get extra firepower, then we'll try. But we will get you some 9mm rounds for your sidearm."
At the next left, Lilly turned and took the highway entrance that led back to the airport. Even though it was a highway, the going was slow due to the burned out hulks that still littered most of the highway. Paths had been cleared through and around them, but she couldn't bring the truck up to speed.
"Andrew, what do you need?"

Andrew throught about it. "Besides ammo" He reached for his readied meal he had been cooking and started to eat his mashed up MRE. He dug the spoon in and tasted it. it was good, but not the same as the home made cooking his ex wife makes. "You said you needed fire power, right? One more person would work. I know a local populant. Appearently she's looking for someone as well from stories I hear about the women. We'll head to the airport first but after that we go to the Arkley forest." He looked over at Lilly. "She also has everything we need to supply for."

Lilly bit the right corner of her lip, as was her habit when she was concentrating. Another person would be good and it would still give them room for 4 more people if they scrunched in the back. That would be enough for her parents and sister and the Richard’s dad. She slowed and weaved around another burned out wreck. This one was a Ford Truck and a blackened limb hung out the broken window. She concentrated on steering for a few minutes, so it was silent for a bit. Then she responded.
“I’m up for it, if you are Richard.” She cast an anxious look in the rearview mirror at the person in the backseat. The longer they put off searching the inn, the less chance there was of finding out if either of their families was alive. Of course, getting killed in the process wasn’t good, and all of them might of evacuated to another area. She just didn’t know.
She turned down the entrance to the Airport. Up ahead, the checkpoint was surrounded by heavy duty barricades, tanks, soldiers and all sorts of other armed personnel. Lilly slowed the truck and pulled up next to the check point. Seven guards approached their vehicle and they seemed unconcerned by the fact that she was driving an armored car. Must have armor piercing rounds loaded in their guns, she thought. Off to the side, a tank turned in its position to face off against them.
She showed the guard her badge and papers and then the identification that were given to her with the vehicle. The guard looked them over and then nodded, letting them pass on through. As Lilly sped up, she looked back at Richard.
“So what’s your decision?”
{OOC – Twobit, at the end of your response, put that we have left Apple Inn and moved to Raccoon City Airport and we will continue the conversation there.}

Twobit sat up as if he wasn't really listening but said anyways "as long as we hurry. If my dad is still alive then he will be moving on as soon as he can and hes a very handy man in situations, i dont think he would have died in that inn... Yet that is the only lead i have on him and i havent found the room he stayed in. He never cleans up after himself and i am pretty sure he was there at most 3 days ago!" robert sighed thinking to himself that this new outbreak really complicated things! Chewing more jerky and taking a swig of a bottle of segrems 7, noticing the few looks from Lilly he responded "don't worry i don't drink often, just enough to send that burst heat through the body!"

[Lilly, Andrew, Robert and Marissa entering Apple Inn from Arkley Mts]
The street was pretty desolate of the undead... which was a little unnerving. She almost hoped that it was crawling with the damn things. At least then she wouldn't have to worry about where they were. Now though...
As quietly as a two ton truck can do it, Lilly pulled into the parking lot of the Apple Inn and pulled into a parking spot, backing into it in case they needed a quick getaway. She quickly shut off the engine and sat there... listening to sounds outside. She motioned for the rest to just sit still.
Through the dense armor of the doors, she hear the calls of birds flying through the sky. That was a good sign. Usually when the undead was around, the animals weren't. It was usually deathly quiet.
Lilly turned in her seat to look at the others. Then she tossed Robert a set of keys.
"This is an extra set of keys to the truck. If something was to happen to us, then ya'll can get out of here. If he falls, Marissa, either get the keys from him or get back to us."
Lilly pointed up at the top of the hatch. "On the outside of the building there is an old ladder that leads up to the roof of the Apple Inn. On the opposite building, there is another one. Andrew and I can scale this building and Robert, you and Marissa can take the Apple Inn. We will shoot over the ropes and ya'll can tie them down. We will tie down our ends and then use our climbing gear to climb across."
"If we get overwhelmed, then we meet back at the ropes and climb out to the middle. The undead can't climb the ropes so they will fall if they try. We can always retreat to the next building."
"Any questions?"

swinging the shotgun around his back, Robert stuffed one more piece of jerky into his mouth as he slipped his coat full of ammo on and zipped it up. "lets do this, and Lilly i lost my father when i was 12 i am only looking for closure, for i don't know what happened to him." Robert said with very little emotion, but he felt it hit his chest hard. he grabbed his p-90 and left the vehicle when Lilly signaled it was time.
"Lady's first" said Robert as he bowed to Marrissa to climb " i will watch your back and while i have little experience in military situations, i have been fighting these infected since i was young so i will be very cautious, so you don't have to worry or babysit me."

Marissa had climbed up the old ladder and listen to Robert. "Well trust me, I never liked baby sitting," She ignored his gentalmen like ways and sign. "Lets go" She started to climb.
"So," Andrew started, following Lilly. "How long have you been a cop?" he asked, curious about Lilly. "One of those childhood moments playing cops and robbers, I bet." They had gotten to the ladder, Andrew gotten the rope from Lilly and slung it on his shoulders.

Lilly heaved the mobile rope cannon onto her back, tightening the strap so that it wouldn't swing around. Then she locked up the Titan and followed Andrew up the fire escape ladder.
"My grandfather was a cop and my father was a cop. It really was no choice at all. I saw the good they did and wanted to help people. At first it was cool, wearing the uniform and all, but I started to have problems sleeping at night. I transferred to Homicide and became a detective but the job was getting to me."
She rounded the corner and started up the next ladder.
"In all honesty, if this outbreak hadn't of happened, I was probably going to be out the door within a month. Seeing all the crime and violence either hardens you until you just don't care... or it breaks you."
Lilly seemed to look out past everything. She spoke like she was talking to herself.
"It was breaking me."
Shaking out of it, she started to the next set up stairs. The building next door to the Apple Inn was the same height which made it easy for them to scale and get across. She finally made it to the roof top, about the same time that Marissa and Robert made it to the top of the Apple Inn.
"So what's your story, Andrew? How did you become a merc?"
Lilly set down her gear, pulling off the air gun off her back. Once they had the ropes lined up and tied off on a permanent fixture on this side, they were fire them over one at a time and wait for Marissa and Robert to tie them off. She grabbed one of the ropes and looked around rooftop. She eyed something in the middle that just might do. It was a steel antennae tower. The dish was gone and the top half was broken and twisted, but the botton half was intact and bolted through the roof to the supports underneath. Lilly rammed it with her shoulder as hard as she could. It didn't budge.
Quickly she began to tie off the rope she had and then spread the rope out so that when she fired it, it wouldn't not up or snag on anything. Then she attached the other end of the rope to the grapple that acted as the missile to get it to the other side. At half power, it should be enough to get it across, but not kill anyone. She looked over to see if Robert and Marissa were ready.

"Started out as a Cop in Philadelphia, actualy" Andrew told her. Marissa Gave the thumbs up to Lilly and Andrew to let them know they were tied off. "Gotten an offer for SWAT Several years later so I took that. I enjoyed that but then I got spotted at one of the training grounds so, Some contractor gav me the right of way and I was able to do any mission I wanted." He tested the rope. "Its on good.," He said for himself then continued. "I didn't expect finding myself working for others for money, I was never really that greedy, either. I guess they just seen what they liked and thrown me in."

Watching his two companions test the rope then start the climb over, he turned around and scouted out the roof. Surprisingly the roof was clear and the door down stairs was locked from the inside. Robert listened closely making little sound when he heard a few distant footsteps, but it was more like a smacking on the stairs.
"Roof is clear, but the door is locked." Robert said as he approached the group just as Lilly and Andrew finished the climb over. "sounds like somethings on the stairs though" he said with a crooked smile and a shrug of his shoulders.
"Andrew, I'm sure you can handle the door, so Marrissa and I are to take the 4?" he said just as they gathered around the door.

Marissa stepped aside and took out a smoke and lighter then pulled out a two liter filled with gun powder. It had a ten second fuse line to it and twine to tie it off. "No need" She said as she tied it to the door knob. "You might wanna step aside. Knowing what ever the Merc knew, Marissa knew better things. Andrew stood his ground wanting to see what her exsplosive did for the door. She pulled a newport out of the box with her lips, stuffing it back in her pocket and lit her cigarrette then the fuse. She turned around and walked a few steps back. Within those ten seconds, a loud boom roared through the area, leaving splinters of wood about quarter of a diamater on th door just enough for the lock mechanism to be blown off. "Door's unlocked" She said with serious bu good sence of humor toit. She in haled the smoke and exhaled.
Andrew walked over to the door examining it. The IED was made for breaching doors like the one blown up now, hance, the use for a plastic bottle to advoid metalic sherapnal. He looked over to Robert. "Stick with Marissa on the furth floor and me and Lilly will cover the other floor. Will get done faster that way, if two teams cover on floor and the other and go alone with one problem at a time that way."
Marissa thrown her rifle to her shoulders and tapped on her foot. "If either of us start to hear continuous gunfire, then we'll be running to help out. Lets just hopeit don't come to that. So...are we ready?"

LIW-9 and the small boy heard the loud explosion just as the two teams entered the apple inn from the roof. He thought he should check it out and told the boy how to lock the door behind him. entering the small hallway he noticed a few of the undead at the end of the hall by the window and heard more activity from down stairs, even though his left ear was still ringing a bit from the blast. ______________________________________________________
Robert gave a slight head nod to Lilly and Andrew just as he continued after Marrissa down to the fourth floor. Marrissa put two bullets into the first infected coming up from the fourth floor. "I'll start checking rooms if you want to protect the stairs so we can make a escape if we need." he said as he moved into the hallway. He stepped into the hall and could not see much farther then the first 4 doors and checked the first one on the left. _____________________________________________________
LIW-9 started towards the stairs when a woman and young man stepped into the stairwell and the sounds of the rifle the female had hurt his ear and made his vision shake with each shot. The young man looks familiar, then he saw the young man come into the hallway. Shock hit him first as the young man didn't see him just 8 rooms down from him. "It's my son, Robert!" he said under his breathe as the young man entered the first room.
9 then whispered to the young boy to ask whoever knocks on the door his name and if the man responds Robert then the boy should open up and he will be safe. LIW then ran down the hall to kill any zombie left on this floor then escape without his son seeing him. the first zombie was easy but the other two hacked at him with their dead arms. they did little against 9's giant left claw, then three more attacked from the adjacent rooms.
____________________________________________________
it was unlocked, he stepped into a empty room, looking for anything and finding nothing he went to the next door. The next 6 rooms were empty and he had heard a few more bursts of fire from Marrissa's direction. He went a couple more feet to the next room when he saw the far window and a big mutated man dispatching three zombies with a huge claw on his left hand. Just as Robert lifted the gun the creature threw two of the zombies out the window and the third against the wall. the creature looked back and Robert could recognize that smile no matter how it had changed.
The face was his father's and he could not fathom what had happened but he wanted to help. he tried to scream but the sound caught in his throat and before he could run the creature jumped out the window and started to climb for the roof but it looked like he pointed to a door.
Robert knocked on the door knowing his father would not have pointed if it meant nothing. the sound of a young boy answered "whats your name?" Ah he had saved someone and of course he wouldn't want to be seen if he was infected, but how does he still have his mind? the thoughts kept flooding his mind as he responded "Robert Matthews"
the door opened to a small boy and Robert asked if he was OK? the boy nodded yes but he could see the tears in his eyes, so Robert escorted the boy back to the stair and Marrissa's eyes lit up when she saw the young boy. "I think we better get him back to the Titan for safety." He said just as three zombies came into view from the third floor. "cover your ears boy!" said TwoBit as his P90 shot a few shots in the first one's head and Marrissa finished the other two.

Lilly tested her line before she swung out onto the rope. She half crawled, half slide over to the roof of the Apple Inn. By the time she arrived, Marissa and Robert were already checking out the roof door. Then Marissa blew the lock on the door with a 2 liter of gunpowder.
Lilly gave her a smile of amusement. Now Lilly had a use for all those bottles that her sister saved up for recycling.
She pulled her AR-15 up to her shoulder, mimicking Marissa. She pulled her support hand down to her side in a slow swipe. She felt the other 2 magazines for her rifle, her sidearm and its extra mags all within easy reach. Then she pulled her radio earpiece up and put it into her ear.
"We'll use frequency 2, check in every 5 minutes."
Lilly switched on the light attached to her rifle and stuck it through the hole. It didn't get a reaction, so she used the barrel to pull the door open. Then she held the door open with her booted foot.
She didn't ask Robert what his father looked like and didn't bother telling them what her family looked like. If they were alive, they would be saved. If they were dead.. or undead.... it didn't matter.
Stepping on the first step, Lilly tentatively tried the stairs, just to make sure the powder keg that exploded didn't damage the floor. It felt safe and solid.
Then she cautiously made her way down the stairs. She saw bits and pieces of humans... bones here, a decaying arm there. It looked like some of the survivors had tried to make it to the roof but couldn't get past the locked door.
Nothing jumped out at them. It took them 3 minutes to make it down the stairs. Lilly knew that she was taking it slow, but she was the cautious type. At the fifth floor, she stopped and giggled the doorhandle.
Nothing moved on the other side.
Signalling Andrew, she motioned the door. In a faint whisper, she spoke.
"Remember every 5 minutes. Sustained gunfire and we come running."
Then she opened the door. The hallway was dark and dingy... her light only illuminating the closet area. If this was like the second floor, there were 28 rooms to check. Luckily there were no conference rooms which meant that they might not be overwhelmed.
"Let's go."
