The meeting room was quite sparse and bare, a single long bench lay across one wall, a small table on another side. Kaz was leaning against one of the bare walls, he cast his eyes over each member of his team. First he looked at Keith in his suit, then at Sig with his revolvers. Then at Rook with his interesting cybernetic enhancements. Finally at Noce and his over-sized sword.
"I'm the team leader. You will do what I say, when I say. I'm Kaz." His introduction was brief and uninspiring, but Kaz just wanted to get on with the first mission.

Smoke drifted up into Noce's face as he puffed on a cigarette. He had decided to set up shop in the corner of the room, where the darkness was thickest. The "team" looked like something out of a bad comic book. A guy in a stealthsuit, a robot, a gunslinger, and, as their captain, a "wanna-be" Hell's Angel/Cowboy.
Noce blew out a jet of smoke from the side of his mouth as he twirled his Zambato on the floor. He guess he couldn't say anything. He was some half-breed with an oversized sword. It's not like he wasn't comical in his own right.
"I'm the team leader. You will do what I say, when I say. I'm Kaz."
"Hmm..." Noce let out a disgusted grunt as he heard their "glorious leader" introduce himself. Some headstrong punk that thought he was hot sh!t because he got put in charge. As far as Noce could see, he wasn't better than any of the rest of them.
"Name's Noce," he finally sighed, shouldering his sword. "Don't talk to me unless absolutely necessary and stay out of my way. You do that, we'll be grand."
After introducing himself, Noce sat the sword down and pulled the jug up to his lips with his now free hand. He was starting to feel tired, and he couldn't allow himself to drift off. Especially not here.

"I'm the team leader. You will do what I say, when I say. I'm Kaz." *When Sig heard this, he stood up. He grabbed the revolver on his right side and began to twirl it on his index finger as he walked slowly towards the approximate middle of the room. He figured he should introduce himself to the others in a way they can remember him. He stopped twirling the revolver and holstered it.* "The name's Siegfried, but you can call me Sig. Although, you," *Sig pointed and turned slightly towards Kaz as he said this,* probably already know my name. And my specialties." *He turned back around and was heading to where he sat when he heard another voice.* "Name's Noce. Don't talk to me unless absolutely necessary and stay out of my way. You do that, we'll be grand." *Sig turned to face the man that said this, Noce. He could barely make out the figure sitting in the shadows. From a very faint glow Sig could tell that Noce was smoking a cigarette. He decided to acknowledge Noce and his smoking.* "Well, sounds like someone has issues. And you do know smoking is bad not just for you, but also those around you, right?" *Sig proceeded in going to the place he was sitting and sat down, waiting for the next man to introduce himself.*

Rook stood back against the far wall, only for the established reason that it let him observe the people in his team and formulate the proper procedures. The one known as Kaz introduced himself as the leader. In a file in his memory drive, he set Kaz as the head of the chain of command. Simple and clean cut, nothing to figure out. He liked it. That was why he was slightly confused when the one who introduced himself as Noce voiced such problems with the arrangment. Perhaps he had lower than average intelligence, the idea of a civilized way of doing things under an established leader was too much for his intillect to absorb. It computed to Rook.
The last to introduce himself, known as Siegfried, in a way Rook expected a mature adult male to act. Disreguarding the show of twirling his revolvers in a way completely unsafe with double action revolvers. He filed the discrepincy for later to bring to the proper channel before he heard something. Siegfried's voiced concern about the ill effects of second hand tobbacco smoke.
"Technically speaking, where first hand tobbacco smoke absorbed into the lungs takes years to cause serious ill effect, the effects of second hand tobbacco smoke in the open air would take nearly quadrouple the time in a group such as this, of healthy adult male's." He said in his deep voice that had a robotic undertone to it, making his speech more complicated than it needed to be in a way only a computer could. "I have no technical name. I was once known as Frank Stronghold. I could now be known by the make, model, and serial numbers of the parts that make up my body, the micro processor that encompasses my mind, but I find I have a fond preference for the name our harbinger has given to me. Rook, the chess peice, a castle, or stronghold. One of the more powerful peices found on an average chess board." He said. He felt no kind of embaressment or regret for his words. In his mind, it was the proper way of greeting. He withheld nothing, and told everyone what he thought of as relevant.

((I'm going to advance the story without Wasted Youth Crew, as I plan on keeping up a solid posting pace for this rp.))
5:00pm, Meeting Room, England, London The scientist walked into the room slowly. He had wild hair on the side of his head but no hair on the top of his head. His voice was heavily accented German. He wore a white lab coat, the stereotypical mad scientist. He spoke softly. "A big portal has opened. In the middle of London, Class A elemental." Kaz took over. "A class A elemental will mean a demon which is a master of an element, ice, fire and electricity are most common. It also means he will either be huge, taking slow but heavy swings at us. Or small, using lightning speed but weaker attacks. Who knows? Maybe somewhere in the middle. The A part means this guy is gonna be tough. Lets go." The team were led to a large helicopter, a black helicopter with a few weapons attached. 6:24pm, London, England Finally, the helicopter reached the portal. It was a big demon, large, a dark red color, in control of fire. As the helicopter reached a suitable drop-off point, the demon shot jets of fire which seemed to explode as they hit something, sections of buildings crumbled away as the explosions rocked the buildings themselves. Large fires were dotted all around the gate area. The gate itself was large, made of stone and had what looked like a large red rip in it. That was the portal. The demon screamed: "I am Berial, lord of fire! Nothing can stop me! I will destroy this world, and make it my own." The demon itself towered over the tallest skyscraper. Kaz sat in the helicopter as it lowered towards the ground. He spoke. "Well, this guys gonna be a cakewalk. Rope ladders are there." He gestured to a pile of rope ladders which the members of the team who could not survive jumping out could use. The helicopter was still very high up, halfway up a tall skyscraper. Kaz jumped out. He felt the wind rush against his skin, he loved that feeling. Finally, he hit the floor. None of his bones snapped, he did not get any visible injury. His first show of power to the team. His next show came up next. The demon was ignoring the team completely, and many innocents were being slaughtered by the demon, so Kaz got it's attention. He grabbed his sword, and held it back as if about to swing. Suddenly, visible energy pulsated around the sword blade. He held the blade there for a minute, letting the energy flow around the blade. Finally, he took a huge swing at thin air. The sheer force of all the energy and power in the sword pulsated around the area quickly in the form of a wind blast, the wind put out all of the fires in the area around the team. Finally the demon turned to face the team. Kaz spoke. "Time to get to work."

"I am Berial! Lord of Fire!"
The blood instantly rushed from Noce's face. Fire. The one thing he couldn't handle. He would have been fine with water, ice, sh!t, a nuclear demon was better than this. But fire! Why?
"Any got a fire-hose?" Noce asked, before flicking his cigarette out of the helicopter. Even if anyone had heard him (he had said it silently), they probably wouldn't understand the meaning behind it. Better that way. Leave them in the dark for now.
Noce followed Kaz out of the helicopter, the ground cracking beneath him as he landed, sword resting on shoulder. Instantly, Noce could feel the fire affecting his "other half". He was getting tired, and his arm was beginning to pulsate.
"Not yet," Noce sighed, downing a gulp from his jug. "Not on the first mission."
After straigthening himself out (and getting a rush from his "drugs"), Noce watched as Kaz extinguished the flames with some type of demonic power.
"Nice trick, kid," Noce muttered, stabbing the point of his sword into the pavement. Noce turned to Berial and let out a quiet growl. "Your move."

"Well, this should be fun!" *Sig said to everyone while looking at the demon. Two of the group had already left: Their fearless leader Kaz, and Noce. They both jumped out of the helicopter as if the fall would do nothing to them, and it looked like nothing had happened to them. Sig looked over the side of the helicopter and yelled down to them.* "Showoffs!" *Sig grabbed one of the rope ladders, made sure it was secure, and tossed it over the edge of the helicopter.* "Leave some for me!" *He shouted before he started the descent. Before his head was too low he looked at the others still in the helicopter.* "See you all down there!"
*After what felt like an eternity of climbing down, Sig was finally on the ground. He turned to face the demon, drew his right revolver, and began taunting the demon.* "I hope this doesn't end too quickly, Berry! I'd hate to see someone that talks so big fall so quickly!" *And with that he pushed on the empty cylinder of the revolver with his right index finger so it would swing out to the left. With his left hand he drew five bullets to load the revolver with. He put them in place and closed it up again. He put the revolver to his left shoulder, his left arm outstretched, and brought the revolver down, spinning the cylinder. He stopped it with his right index finger and tapped the muzzle against the right side of his head a couple times.* "Whenever you're ready, Berry."

The demon Berial Roared in anger, these puny beings were taunting him, and it ticked him off. Letting off another roar, he shot exploding flames at the 3 members of the team who were on the ground already. The flames were hard to block, but they travelled fairly slow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaz saw one flame head his way, if he approached it correctly, he could use it to his advantage. After spending a precious few seconds judging a few things, he ran forward towards the flame. Once it got near him, he somewhat gently grabbed hold of the solid part of the flame. His hands were burnt to a crisp, horrible black skin and nasty burns already despite only holding on for a second. Not bothered by the pain, Kaz hurled the flame right back at the demon, then watched his hands as the skin repaired itself automatically. Luckily, his coat had not caught fire.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The demon took a blow from the fire. The fire itself didn't hurt it, of course, but the explosion stunned it. It began to realize that these were no ordinary humans.

Noce watched as the flaming orbs advanced toward the group. The first one reached Kaz, who grabbed it and flung it back at Berial with little damage to himself.
After letting out a grunt of determination, Noce placed the sword in front of him, using it as a shield. The flame broke apart against the steel, turning the sword bright red for a moment. Instantly, Noce fell to his knee and gasped. He suddenly felt light-headed and his arm was throbbing.
"Keep it together!" Noce scowled, righting himself.
Not wanting to have to deal with another ball of flames, Noce straightened his sword out behind him and charged Berial. Noce weaved in and out as Berial launched flames at him, dodging each one and only being hit by the splash.
As Noce approached Berial's feet, he swung the sword above his head and slashed at Berial's Achille tendon (or at least the area it should be). Noce didn't wait to see if the demon had been effected but rushed past and got out of the danger zone before resuming a defensive postition.

Berial roared out in pain as the sword hit his Achille's Tendon. No blood came out of the wound, but damage had been done. Berial dropped to one knee for a moment, he then slowly stood back up to try and defend from the other attacks. It dawned on him that this was the toughest battle of his life. He continued shooting flames at people.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaz bombarded Berial with gunshots, occasionally he would let the same demonic energy from before charge into his guns, so he could fire off some stronger shots. He knew he wasnt going to do much damage doing this, but he had a bigger attack planned.
While the others had jumped out of the helicopter, Rook had been formulating a different plan of attack. To jump down and attack it at its ankles was not the most efficient way to go. Instead, he had been looking around. Looking for a place to go. A place that gave him height…
And he found it. A nearby skyscraper, glass windows lining it. Perfect. When the chopper was empty of the other team members, he lined up his jump and let loose. His powerful artificial legs launched him to the side. When he was within the proper distance, he threw his sword in an underhanded motion. The cord extended at his mental command, and the near indestructible blade flew foreword. It shattered the window in front of him, and he tumbled into the building, gracefully landing on his feet. In an instant, his computer system hacked into an over passing satellite and gave him a thermal image of the building. From it, his processor put together a blueprint of the building, and he took off to the stairwell. In less than a minute, he climbed the stairs and ended up on the roof, about chest level to the creature who called itself Berial.
Rearing back and down, he formed his trajectory and how he would need to twist and turn to hit his mark, and he took off. Like a bullet, he ran to the side of the building, his blade in hand. He leapt from the side of the building, at the last possible millisecond, and seemingly flew through the air. With his blade outstretched, he began his known decent, right as he was within striking distance. With a single hand, he stabbed foreword, his blade sticking into the demons skin and the weight of his heavy body sliding him down like a pirate from an old movie.
Berial took some damage from the sword blow, but it would take more to defeat him.
The demon took a swipe at Kaz.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaz saw it's arm rushing down at him. Perfect. He smiled, drawing his sword, which was about as tall as he is. He was ready for the hand. When it got close, he stabbed his sword out, landing it perfectly in the demon's palm. It roared at Kaz, and raised it's hand to hit him again. But he did not realize that Kaz had held onto his sword, so now, with the demon's arm raised high to strike, Kaz was higher than the demon itself. So he pulled his sword out and stabbed in again, lighter this time. He then smiled again, his plan worked as his blade slowly slipped through the demon's skin, cutting through it like a hot knife throught butter.
Eventually, Kaz reached the demon's shoulder, making a huge cut in one arm. Now the demon was angry. Kaz continued to make cuts, pulling various flips to avoid it's attempts to knock him off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Berial decided to leave Kaz for now, the damage to his arm did not bother him much. He summed up alot of energy, poising for a large blow. Finally he let it lose, firing huge fireballs that could not be stopped by any sword or magic.
((Trying to leave me? lol))
"Holy... Look at the size of those things!" *Sig said, deciding whether he should try shooting at them or taking cover. When they were getting too close for comfort, he decided to do both. He fired at the center of each fire ball. He figured since the fire can be grabbed, it can be destroyed. He fired at as many fireballs as he could before the cylinder ran out. Not waiting to see if anything had happened, he ran towards a skyscraper. He covered his face as he charged through one of the glass doors.* *When inside, Sig ran to and hid behind a nearby wall. Pushing on the cylinder of his revolver with his right index finger, he removed the empty casings and got five more bullets to reload the cylinder with. After the cylinder was full, he closed it back up. He didn't bother running it over his arm like last time. Instead, he put it back in its holster and removed the left revolver. He pushed against the cylinder with his left index finger and readied another set of five bullets. When the cylinder was loaded, he closed it back up and grabbed his right revolver. With both revolvers in hand, he peered around the corner to see how close the balls of fire were.*
Noce watched as the larg orb of fire came plummeting toward him. Realizing the impact would probably destroy his sword, Noce dove into a nearby building as the orb made contact. The resulting explosion sent Noce to the ground.
It felt as if someone had just hit him in the back of the head with a hammer. His vision blurred and he lost most of his hearing. Along with that, his demonic side began throbbing while most of the strength in his human side ebbed away.
"Come on," Noce muttered, struggling to grab his jug. "Keep it together."
He finally was able to crawl over to a wall and seat himself upright. Once there, he drained a good amount of the liquid before capping it off and attaching it back onto his belt.
After regaining his composure, Noce stood up and shouldered his blade. He had lost contact with the rest of his team and they had no communications device. From the sounds outside, however, he assumed the fight continued.
"Maybe it's time to take a new approach," Noce sighed, looking around for a stairwell. And then he found one.
Cracking his neck, Noce ran upstairs and headed for the roof.
((No Eamon, but I like a steady posting stream, so I might forget to let someone post occasinoally, sorry.))
The ball of fire that had been aimed at Sig hit the ground next to the building, exploding but not injuring anybody.
Kaz smiled. He noticed that Rook and Noce were aiming high, the right idea. He realized that this team might not be so bad after all. But as he watched his teammates, he was not paying attention to the Demon. It swatted him with one hand, sending him flying towards the ground. Normally he would have righted himself in mid-air and landed perfectly. But the demon's swipe had shattered both legs and an arm, they would repair themselves in minutes, but not before he hit the ground.
He splatted on the ground sickeningly, half the skin on his face seemed to be a few meters away. His sword lay below the demon as he had dropped it. He would not get up for a good 5 minutes. He also felt something else. No, surely the demon did not know. But the demon did, it knew one of Kaz's few weaknesses. It had slid some kind of rocky needle into his spine, paralyzing them. This would make his recovery process much slower. He would have to do something drastic, something the team did not know about.
Meanwhile, Berial was actually a little out of energy. This was the time for the team to strike.
