"its always the stuff of nightmares. lets go."
activating the taclight on his kriss, John went into the stairwell and after making sure the others were following, proceeded to move downward. in these situations it was almost always a good idea to keep moving. fear, paranoia and other problems, including a diminishing ammo reserve was always a problem, so it was best to keep moving and avoid fighting when possible.
after a while they finally reached their destination.

"Nightmares? Yeah, that's accurate." he replied. Following close behind, with John taking point and Tom in between the two, leaving Shakku in the rear. The only light they had was from the small light from John's gun. Small or large, light was light in the end. The enclosed stairwell wasn't even dimly lit, meaning something happened to the power behind the stairwell lights. With a gradual advance they continued down the stairwell, a body passing here and there dispatched by a simple kick, of course not a permanent fix but an easy method to avoid being eaten.
Along the way ignored gunshots, screams, and moaning were not heard but, it eventually was a trip worth remembering once the door to the lower levels was reached. One man to each door side, with Tom huddled in confusion behind Shakku it would be assumed the previous breaching process would occur again, this time without anything 'extra'. with his fingers sticking up three, index, middle, and thumb he began a silent count. From three it lowered to two at the same time as Shakku's thumb lowering. Then, from two, as he lowered his middle finger the count lowered to one. From one, he balled his hand into a fist with a count of no fingers signalling the breach.
Taking a position to enter, he kicked the door open near its back end, purposely leaving a slight dent in the metal so closing it would take longer than it would to shoot someone who happened to be closing the door. Once opened a quick glance and survey of which direction or door inside the room would lead to the lockers was impossible to perform, as the trio was greeted with small bursts of gunfire, which gave a bit of light to the dark hallway and the rooms these people were staking out. He returned to the spot near the wall in retreat, returning the few shots with a salvo of bullets-about five in all. Of course expecting none to hit but giving the imitation of fire suppression.
"Ahhhh!" shouted Tom continuously as a single round from the opposite side of the door ricochet' past, fluttering in a unique manner and penetrating his leg. Apparently he had been shot just as they were engaging the hostiles, but it was darker than many could manage to see. From up the stairs the sounds of movement could be heard between gunfire. Sloppily conducted steps and dragging noises echoed through the stairwell constantly, an assumption of an impending approach could be made but that was among the last of the groups concerns. Shakku moved to cover and wrap the bullet wound, although the task proved much more difficult to do without light and John was probably keeping the hostiles at bay. Eventually it was done but only when the flashes of gunfire were reflected from the recently breached room could he see the actual wound and work faster to stop the bleeding. There wasn't much he could actually do to remove the bullet, being that it hadn't already gone straight through.

The bullet went clean through Tom's let, only a small amount of muscle. No blood vessels, no bone. Manageable. It was annoying that the bullet took a bad bounce through his leg but s*** happened.
Taking a quick peek through the doorway, john prepped a concussion grenade. Tossing it, he waited until it went off and pushed forward, putting bullets into the guys that were shooting at them. They were in black tactical's, obviously some of the boarders, they were using mp5's. "Keep moving, were gonna have company soon."
