ok idk if this belongs here or in a more general RE thread but here goes...
in the games and movies they explain how the T-Virus re-animates dead cells in the body using the premis that there is still bio-electricity in the dead body (which is responsible for your hair and finger nails growing after your dead) so my question is this what would electricity do to a zombie/BOW/Tyrant? would it stop it in it's tracks like a taser or would the increase in electriciy increase the rate of mutation?

Well it'll do what electricity does to any human body, but less. See, zombies or the living dead are quite literally dead, meaning only their brain has limited functionality and their nerves are dead and most if not all synapses don't fire, meaning they don't feel pain, any emotion, strength, speed or any type of higher brain function. Also, hair and fingernails don't continue growing (I know it's known widely that it does) but it's truthfully just the skin shrinking and the bone decaying, allowing more hair deeper into the scalp to show; same goes with the fingernails- the skin just pulls back revealing more.
A taser wouldn't do much unless it was directed to the spine/head- same with a human. There were a few electricity-based weapons in the RE universe, but they were localized with a powerful, single blast which would kill almost anything living or dead.
So in a sense, electricity would do the same thing to a human as it would a zombie/creature, but a taser (unless held on the spot for a long time) would be close to useless as a close-range weapon.

ok and i never said you should try to use a taser against a zombie (and trying it on something like nemisis is just stupid) but i didnt know if it would work the same thanks for the answer

That's what I always thought too. When you think about it though, wouldn't a taser have the same effect on a normal zombie as it does a human?
This is more of a question, than an argument.
The taser releases mini - pulses that cause the muscles to seize, right? Even though a zombie is dead, it still requires muscles to move. The taser wouldn't kill a zombie, that's for sure, but wouldn't it atleast drop the creature for a minute?

Zombies can't feel pain, they have no nerves. Muscle function is limited to almost nothing. The basic "Shambler", if you get my drift, will just keep on truckin' once stabbed or prodded with a Taser cause the Taser is too localized. If it were to be an open circuit, and lets say the Shambler was dosed in water and electrified with a wire, it would be fried crispy. A taser wouldn't phase a basic zombie.
Further mutations, however, would possible have more of an effect. Using a taser on.. Lets say a Licker: it'll make them convulse momentarily but in the end, if you're that close, you're going to die.
If you're close enough to use a Taser on any enemy of Resident Evil lore, you're WAAY too close.
To clear up the wall of text above, yes, the zombie requires muscles to move, but the function of those said muscles is minuscule and the effect of the taser wouldn't travel as fast as it would a set of functioning muscles.

I see your point.
I know the zombies don't feel pain, I was playing the angle that the min - pulses would cause the muscles to seize. Though your right, tasers are useless against the undead. Why not put lead in the head and call it good instead of wasting time with a taser? (:

Please dont take this as arguing with everyone here you all make total sense....but as for the point of being too close there are taser "guns" with a decent reach or attaching a wire to an arrow or spear and to a battery or generator so theoreticaly you could keep your distance and electrocute a zombie or what have you....though again im not saying you should
but on a side note isnt any distance too close to a zombie? lol
