Resident Evil Scenario
The Planet Reborn
The dull lights flickered on with the low hum one always expected to hear after turning on a fluorescent light, but something about it really unnerved the young black haired man walking through the destroyed halls of what had once been called the future of Umbrella, B.O.W. Enviro-test A, better known as “The Planet”. The specimens were all dead, except Fossil, the massive creature that had been the pride and joy of the facility. The ten foot tall reptilian monster had given the S.T.A.R.S. a run for their money, nearly killing them. When the facility was left behind, so was Fossil, and it had eaten the moron who had been previously running the place, Mr. Jay Reston. He had been the youngest member allowed into the inner circle of White Umbrella, and in the end, he was nothing more than food for the hungry tyrant based reptilian monster he had been planning to dissect. Currently the thing was starving, stalking around the facility growling and snarling out of hunger. When it realized another presence was in the place it called home, it started to track the young black haired man, the man Umbrella had sent to get the place back up and running. Fossil spotted him about four hundred meters away, a dead sprint for the cunning and starving beast. It began to run, having only one instinct, the pure unending instinct to constantly feed. The young man grinned slyly, more to himself than to his foe, knowing this should provide him a short burst of entertainment. Fossil was closing in quick, and as it lunged for him, the young man bound easily over the ten foot tall beast and blasted it with several thousand cc’s of horse tranquilizers. Fossil began to slow down, and turned towards his cunning meal, but by the third step Fossil took, it collapsed to the ground, unconscious. The young operative had been warned ahead of time, and made sure he had enough tranquilizers to do the job. Unlike Reston, he had been given a detailed briefing on the creature, making getting in and containing it a simple task. His eyes were strange to most people, the unusual red coloring scaring off most people. He had been infected of course, but it was a controlled infection, the same way it had happened to the former S.T.A.R.S. captain, Albert Wesker. “You think your tough Fossil? I’ve been through every kind of situation Umbrella can muster, I train with B.O.W.’s every free day I have. Your nothing to me… the greatest Umbrella Special Operative ever to come out of the company. Your nothing against Thorne.” he whispered, his cocky attitude seeming to accentuate just how tough he was. Thorne did indeed train every day with the bio-weapons Umbrella specialized in creating, he relished having the power to take on the monsters his employers had created, not just with weapons, but with hand to hand combat as well. First on his agenda was re-securing Fossil, the second thing he was to do was the hard part, getting “The Planet” up and running, and in time to welcome his arranged guests. “Your mine S.T.A.R.S. punks, and after your gone, Wesker is next.” Thorne whispered to himself, his intense grin never once faltering.
Three Months Later…
Thorne was overflowing with pride, it had only taken him three months to get “The Planet” up and running, making it the fastest restoration of an Umbrella facility ever. Fossil was once again in stasis, awaiting Thorne’s final adaptations to his design. Dissection might have been a good idea in 1998, but this was 2006, the new millennium. Thorne had taken updated Umbrella technology and made Fossil into a true B.O.W. by giving it a cybernetic uplink. Now Fossil would be able to carry out commands, and was no longer driven by pure unadulterated instinct, now it could be controlled. It would only listen to Thorne however, that having been one of Thorne’s special modifications he didn’t tell the company about. He ran everything in “The Planet”, and no one else would be controlling his facility. He had single handedly restored the place from a dump to a working state of the art facility, the most impressive Umbrella had ever seen. All the specimens were settling in comfortably, and the phases were even redone. Phase one had been avionic in nature, housing the flying creatures that had been dubbed Dacs. They were bird B.O.W.’s that had shown great promise, that is until the S.T.A.R.S. team had dismembered them. Phase two had been the desert environment, in which the Scorps, Scorpion based experiments, had been used. Once again the meddling S.T.A.R.S. dismembered the Scorpion B.O.W.’s by using their guns and grenades. Phase three had been the mountainous environment that the Spitters had been in, and they had nearly killed the S.T.A.R.S. members, but they were defeated as well. Phase four was the final phase in the program back then, and it was by far the most impressive. It had been the Hunter test site. The Hunters were Thorne’s favorite specimens. They were reptilian creatures that had been created by splicing reptilian DNA with an unfertilized human egg. The result was a deadly and efficient killer. They weren’t all killed by the S.T.A.R.S. members, instead Fossil itself had killed them, as well as the remaining Spitters the two S.T.A.R.S. members had left. After Thorne had arrived he decided to upgrade everything, including the phases. Thorne had learned from Reston’s first mistake, allowing the first crew who worked in the facility to live. They had only been temporary workers, and in the end were anything but loyal to the company. Thorne had done the same at first, hiring the temp workers in, but afterwards he subjected them to experiments, turning them into Zombies and two of the burly construction workers were turned into Tyrants. Thorne knew better than to let those ungrateful temp workers live, knowing that had royally screwed Reston the last time. Now he had his actual staff handling the specimens and maintaining the systems. The facility had even been expanded, making the facility go from having four phases, to having eight phases, phases one through six were mostly beasts, excluding the Zombies and the Crimson Heads, which are advanced Zombies that have mutated, grown claws, turned a reddish color, and have become able to spew digestive acid on their prey. They had been separated from the Zombies as a precaution, since the Zombies were targets for their mutated brethren. The last two phases, code named Omega and Ultima, were the two most complex and deadly of the phases.. Omega had been set up as a test for the Tyrant series, including the Nemesis T-Type, which had been replicated from the data gathered from the Raccoon City incident. It also catered to the Licker series, which were added because of their strengths. The Tyrants had their eyes, thus enabling them to be completely aware of their surroundings, which happened to make up for the Licker’s lack of eye sight. The two weapon types, together, should be a formidable team against anything, and the updated control systems in each specimen allowed Thorne to keep them from tearing each other apart, making them even more useful than ever before. Phase Ultima however was the trump card. Thorne had planned on subjecting the S.T.A.R.S. to the phases like the two men had been before, but just in case they made it through the gauntlet of horrors he had created for them, phase Ultima would house Thorne’s best work, the new and improved Fossil. “I sure hope they hurry up and deliver my message… if it was on time I should be getting a call right about now.” Thorne said, and just as he said now, the phone in control began ringing. The speaker clicked on and he heard a woman’s voice in the background, then the one holding the phone on the other end began to speak. “Who the hell is this?” the voice asked, it was that of a young man barely in his thirties . “My name is of no importance for now. Just know that I am an employee of Umbrella, and I am very interested in you and your group Mr. Redfield. I am offering you the chance to come back to a facility your sister has been to, one that she and her friends left in tact, though it wasn’t much to brag about back when she was here. I know your listening Claire Redfield… does the name Reston mean anything to you?” Thorne asked, hearing her gasp. Claire knew Reston alright, he had been the guy they were after, the guy that the monster called Fossil had eaten as she and her friends escaped. “Now listen carefully Chris, I want you to gather your friends Barry and Jill. Claire, I know you still have contact with Leon and Rebecca. I want the six of you to come to my facility, back to “The Planet” as Reston called it. If you can meet the challenge I have set for you, I’ll help you bring down Umbrella. I run this facility you see, and if you do this successfully, you’ll have the entire facility, as well as all of Umbrella’s technology at your disposal.” Thorne mused, knowing they wouldn’t resist. Chris quickly agreed to the proposal, and the trap was finally set. Soon the meddlers from S.T.A.R.S. would be there, and he would field test his new facility. The time had come for Thorne, the greatest experiment to ever come from Umbrella, to become what he truly deserved to be, and in his mind, he deserved to truly be the future of Umbrella.

Final Report On Phases One Through Ultima
Phase 1 Codename: Forest Of Death
Specimens: Eliminator, Crow, Wasp, and Ivy/Poison Ivy
Environment: Forest
Environment Size: Four square miles
Information: Phase 1 is the first test facility and is a complete replica of a rainforest, everything from the bugs to the rain itself being replicated. The specimens in this environment are the Eliminators, monkeys infected with the T-Virus, Crows and Wasps that had been infected by the T-Virus, and the genetically engineered plant species codenamed Ivy and it’s poisonous sub-species. The forest is the perfect setting for these specimens, accentuating their strengths and keeping their weaknesses from causing any major problems. The Eliminators stay in the trees for the most part, retaining many of the habits they had before they were infected. They tend to attack in groups of five, a total of twenty Eliminators are in this phase, meaning four groups in all. The Crows in the phase do much the same as they did when they were normal, they are just more aggressive in nature, going from scavengers to full blown predators. The Wasps tend to feed on the toxic nectar of the Poison Ivy specimens, making their toxins even stronger, as well as having developed the ability to coordinate their attacks instead of just swarming. There is a queen somewhere in the forest, we have not been able to find their nest, meaning it is deep in the ground. As a precaution, we have surrounded the area a mile under the ground of the forest with concrete and steel mesh. We have made sure the Wasps cannot escape. The Ivy and it’s poisonous sub-species the Poison Ivy have not only adapted almost immediately, but have seemed to change the habitat to their advantage, making other plants around them toxic by introducing their toxins to the plants while they are young. They seem to mate by pollination, the wasps being the main source of this.
Phase 2 Codename: Raccoon Recollection
Specimens: Zombies, Cerberus, And Plague Crawlers
Environment: City
Environment Size: Twenty square miles
Information: Phase 2 is the second test facility, and has been perfectly modeled after the destroyed Raccoon City. The specimens in this test are the common Zombies, the zombie dogs known as Cerberus, and the insects that had been infected by the T-Virus, otherwise known as Plague Crawlers. The environment that these specimens have been placed in is the type they were first seen as a major threat in, and thus was chosen as the environment for the specimens to inhabit. The Zombies and Cerberus only hunt living things, though the Cerberus will eat the Zombies if no living food is available. The Plague Crawlers were a problem at first, eating anything with flesh on it and laying their eggs in Zombies, resulting in a slight loss of specimens. We have introduced living animals into the city, raccoons and rats mostly, in order to feed the specimens and keep them from preying on each other. The Zombies have proven to do well with no modification, they surround and kill their prey, ripping it to shreds. The Cerberus have stayed true to form, still hunting in the same way that canines have for thousands of years. Their attack strength is high since they were trained for many years while they were still normal. The Plague Crawlers also need no real modification, doing well just doing as they always have, hunting and breeding. They are basically giant cockroaches, so they breed quickly and consume quite a bit to survive. This may be a disturbing test for anyone who has witnessed the true Raccoon City incident. There are also locations in this test site with extra ammunition as suggested, since live human tests will be conducted. There are also extra weapons as well.
Phase 3 Codename: Rockfort Recollection
Specimens: Crimson Heads, and Bandersnatch
Environment: Prison Replica
Environment Size: Ten square miles
Information: Phase 3 is the third test facility, and is a perfect replica of the Rockfort Island Prison. The only specimens here are Crimson Heads and the Tyrant sub-type that has been dubbed Bandersnatch. This may very well be the easiest test facility, since there are only fifty Crimson Heads and ten Bandersnatch. The layout is pretty straight forward, and the specimens just act as they would have on the actual island fortress. The replication of the Ashford Mansion was the hardest part of the Environment, but all the traps from the original mansion have been replicated. The specimens, as well as the traps, are in perfect working order.
Phase 4 Codename: Umbrella Caverns
Specimens: Chimeras, and Drain Deimos
Environment: Cavern
Environment Size: Five square miles
Information: Phase 4 is the fourth test facility, and is a complete replica of a cave. The specimens in this test facility are insect based B.O.W.’s, one of which was a complete accident. The Chimeras tend to nest in cold wet areas, making the caves a perfect place for them. The Drain Deimos are blood suckers, they breed almost anywhere but prefer cold damp places. They attack by jumping onto their prey and stabbing their proboscis into the neck, draining not only blood but cerebral spinal fluid as well. Both creatures tend to avoid the other, and only compete for food. They dislike fire, making it a handy tool to keep them at bay while the trainers bring in fresh food for them. The caves have no natural light, and the specimens have adapted quite well without it. Anyone sent through this test phase will be quickly caught and eaten without light and ammunition.
Phase 5 Codename: Aquatic Death
Specimens: Hunter Types Alpha and Beta, Lurkers, and Neptune
Environment: Swamp
Environment Size: Ten square miles
Information: Phase 5 is the fifth test facility, and is a perfect replica of a salt water swamp. The specimens designated to this particular environment were already well adapted to the terrain, the Hunter type Alphas sticking more to the solid portions of the swamp, while the Beta types tend to go back and forth between the solid land in the swamp to the muddy and mucky water. The Lurkers, being an early attempt at a B.O.W. are more of a food source than an actual specimen, but they have adapted well and have shown great promise. The lone Neptune we introduced ate four Lurkers, so we had to limit where we allowed it to roam. We have restricted Neptune’s territory to the deepest parts of the swamp, while the Lurkers dwell in the shallow waters. The Hunter Alpha type has shown great improvements and have put their color changing abilities to great use, blending in perfectly and forming complex hunting groups and patterns. The Beta types have done the same, though they have been relying more on their reflexes and speed instead of camouflage. The Lurkers have stuck to the same style of hunting that they used as common frogs, though they can now use their tongue like a spear, and have grown razor sharp claws. Neptune just does what it had done when it was a normal shark, swim, kill, and eat. This may be one of the most hazardous of the test phases, being a hard place to walk without getting stuck in the muck.
Phase 6 Codename: Snake Pit
Specimens: Yawns
Environment: Jungle
Environment Size: Fifteen square miles
Information: Phase 6 is the sixth test facility, and is a perfect replica of a jungle. The Yawns in the habitat have adapted well, and are extremely aggressive, they tend to eat whole cows now and have a tough hide. Armor piercing rounds may be needed to puncture through the Yawns hide. We have five in all.
Phase Omega
Specimens: Tyrants, Lickers, and the Nemesis T-Type (Second Prototype)
Environment: Arklay Mansion Replica
Environment Size: Two square miles
Information: Modeled after the Arklay Mansion, this test facility is the housing station for the Tyrants and Lickers. This is also the place where the Nemesis T-Type specimen is being stored. Once any humans enter this test facility, the Tyrants, Lickers, and Nemesis will be awakened and shall begin combat. The Lickers are the only “wild” Specimens in the facility and act on their own, the others however act on whatever their programming is, in this case they are programmed to kill anything that does not belong in the environment, meaning anyone who is not a member of Umbrella’s staff. There is also a place here, like in the Raccoon City test phase, in which extra ammunition and arms have been stored as per your request.
Phase Ultima
Specimens: Fossil
Environment: Mountain
Environment Size: Twelve square miles
Information: This is the final phase in the test program. It is highly unlikely that anyone or anything would make it this far, but if they were to make it this far, they would be set up against Fossil, the toughest and deadliest specimen in the entire facility. Along with the new neural network, keeping it from attacking anything it is not ordered to, it still has a voracious appetite and will not go down as easily as a normal Tyrant will. It will take seven shots from a rocket launcher to put Fossil out of commission, and that is highly doubtful considering the terrain it is housed in. Fossil has adapted superbly to the environment, and has shown great promise. If anyone were to make it out of this test phase alive, they would be lucky to be whole, much less able to survive longer than a day after the test.
