The thing is, those memories never go away. They stick with you for the long term. The incident didnt change that, it amplified it. Things just stay with a person now, there really is no recovery process. You go to sleep, and you relive all of those scenarios over again in your head. You wake up knwoing that the world will never be what it once was. Knowing that everything is going to just was broken as the day before. But really, maybe thats not such a bad thing. Because I love this new world. And I loved all of the bad things that happened. I was the one who caused them.
With a chop from the cleaver, the doctor had finished up the last piece of meat to be packaged up and frozen. The building had a generator that he kept running for the most part, at least for this month they were going to be living inside. It was just too much out on the streets. Only a year past since things started up. and he wasnt willing to take the risk of exposing himself to the virus. Not when there had been all the food he needed here in the highschool. Wiping blood and sweat from his firehead, the doctor moved into the freezer unit at the back of the cafeteria, and set down the pallet of meat to be stored.
There were quite a bit of other ones, enough for at least a week or two more. If they moved now, it would be a waste to leave it, since their was no way they were going to lugging around three hundred and some pounds of frozen meat. Still, it wasnt like they would be losing much, there would always be more where this came from. A scream could be heard coming from further at the back inside another unit, and a muffled voice. Shaking his head, the doctor quickly moved to the back, shivering at the cold, and then opened up the door.
Immediately, he brought the cleaver down, silencing the scream. A teenage girl fell dead against the hard, cold ground. She didnt have all too much on her, much too skinny for what he could cook. If the doctor had access to more, preparing a single human would be much more filling, but he had to world with what was available. The fine lost art of cannibalism got a chance once again in the spotlight, only to be halted by the available culanary resources.
Pushing the body back into the stoarge unit, the doctor closed it up, and put a lock on it. With that, he moved back into the main kitchen, and spoke out to his friend who had been in the main hall. "No such luck with Mrs. Lacey Donohu. Not worth spending the energy." The doctor hadnt even been sure if his friend was even open to the idea of eating another human being, but honestly, it couldnt have bothered him enough worry about at this point.

Ivan still hadn't settled down to the idea of eating another person but knew that what had to be done needed to be done. They weren't going to be able to survive on scavenging alone. It would take more work than the three of them could put together. Hunting, farming, and scavenging was too much. The Their newest recruit was especially helpful. It seemed like the man was trained to be a ninja but Ivan didn't point out the fact because the man was Japanese. Akio had been extremely helpful in helping them locate items and people without getting spotted. He even had found them their first victim, and killed the person too. It was odd seeing the Luger in working condition and among them. Akio had set himself up in the area, cleaning his Luger.
Ivan was trying to figure out the next step in their daily plans to create as much destruction as possible, but it was hard when there weren't many large groups anymore. They had heard about a group of survivors holding out in a school, and then it turned out to be a few people. That was until Ivan heard noises coming from a distant entrance. Akio had heard it too and had worked to reassemble his Luger as Ivan went ahead with his 8" trench knife. Ivan wasn't afraid of a fight and knew that his strength would outnumber any amount of other survivors that came back. He knew the narrow hallways would aid him in bottle-necking any attacks. If it was infected he knew that they weren't going to be a problem either. The only other possibility would be a mutant, B.O.W., a tyrant, or another superhuman. Those could pose a threat big enough to give Ivan some concern but he would still fight it and kill it.

As it seemed, the three of them had each been more than just proficient in survival alone. So as a small group, they could get a lot accomlished in the a small day without little work. Each had their own set of skills to work with, and each did it much better then the other. The German, Splain, had been the doctor in the group, and the cook now as well. Whatever they didnt want to spare to eat from the scavenged supplies, he could prepare using just about anything. And if any of them sustained any injuries, he could tend to them without a problem using basic medical kits combined with his vast knowledge of medicine. The brains of the group, though he liked to keep to himself when it came to other people. Before the outbreak, people were easy to deal with. Now they have much more to lose when they see their lives threatened.
Ivan was the strength. Nothing stood in his way, nothing human nor monster. Personally, plain had seen him kill over a hundred men, and countless infected, BOW as well. With ease, he took them all down without blinking. It was evidently what he was designed to do. But on top of that, its what he enjoyed doing. There was no denying that even is he didnt accept it openly. When it came to protection, Ivan was the one who had things covered. Under normal survival situations, there would be times where running away or hiding, or both, had been the deal solution. Not with the Russian on their side, he would tank his way through, and lead Splain through easily.
Akio was the scout, the one who would map out an entire town without any problems, and alert the group of any other survivor activity in the area. He knew how to track, and kill, without so much as making a sound or dropping any sort of clues that he was even here or there to begin with. Obviously thee has still much, much to be learned about his story, but maybe it didnt need to told, just accepted that he wanted what it was that Ivan and himself wanted. That was to survive, and they stood a better chance at that with the three of them together. Splain would have to let him in on the plan if they were going anywhere near ground zero, however.
"Theres a reason we came back to the states. I need samples from the underground facilities in the arklay region. Yes, that included Raccoon City, im sure youve heard of it. My sources know it hadnt been touched since the bombs fell, we need to get there and find whatever traces he can. Not to destroy it, but to harness its power. Others plan on destroying it, to cover up, but they failed twice since. So were going there to make use of it..."

Ivan stood in the dark as Akio came behind him. The noise had quieted down to footsteps in the distance of the school. It was coming their way and by the sound of it was more than a couple people. Ivan was getting ready to ambush them as Akio took the opposite side of the hall. The darkness of the hall gave them the ability to vanish into the shadow. Akio was invisible but Ivan was a large shadow. The flashlight of the other survivor fell onto the large Russian. The scared screams could surely be heard by Shplain. Ivan was fast, but not as fast as Akio. Their movements cut through the survivors before half of them could draw weapons.
Ivan was like a wall that held a human shield between him and the gunfire as a few shots were fired at him. Ivan threw the hole ridden man to the crowd as he continued his stabbing spree. Akio was more precise with the swings of his sword. Each slice killed or maimed someone. After only a short time Ivan came back to Shplain to grab the cart to drag the bodies back to the freezer. The cart was full of bodies and Ivan pushed into the freezer so that Shplain could get to it later or to just keep it from rotting out in the open.

With the silence and unresponsive Akio claiming the cafeteria now, Spain felt that discussing his plans hadnt been in vain, just that they were both with him on the subject and had been busy getting ready. They already had a lot of work to do with navigating the multiple labs here in the city without the electricity grid on, so the entire task would no doubt take them several days. Where the entire city had been for the most part fully looted, it made getting food here and the state itself nearly impossible without their hoard of human flesh to consume. In all honesty, Splain had been a little sad that he couldnt prepare a full and proper meal, but so long as the flesh had been cooked well enough, they had enough bodies here in the freezer to last them seven good meals each. They would be able to stock up here, explore each section of the labs, and then return back when a break as needed. Travel had been easy when you knew the sewers, and the only undead they would need to worry about were those in the labs. Or whatever else would remain down there.
This wasnt a first response like the recon teams sent in by Umbrella, a name that hadnt crossed his mind in quite some time. Splain knew they were going in blind and would most definitely encounter plenty feral undead who had been starved for almost a decade. Depending on the portions of labs they were in, some of the infected may even have turned crimson, a term he lay on the resurrected corpses that had fallen and the virus had its chance to affect its body completely, drawing out each and every cell from the T-Virus to reach its maximum. Similar cases were affected in the dogs kept in the labs, causing them to maintain their full motor control, but remain completely stickin by the virus. This made the crimson infected the danger they needed to be cautious of. They would be quick, and deadly. Risk of infection was still a horror humans had to face, no matter how used to fighting the undead they were.
"It would make sense for us to make out way into the facility under the city. Through the sewer tunnels, thats out point of entry. The Raccoon City Police Department has an an open point with the facility, thats where we get inside. We had go through the sewers from the school if we want to avoid as much infected as possible, or go above ground and through the RCPD itself for a quicker route. The school isnt that far from it, only a few blocks. Who knows how putrid the water might be in the sewer, being inactive for years. The call is yours, you two can argue. Or flip a coin. I dont care, lets just get going as soon as possible."
