Warrick watched the one TV in whichever soon to be forgotten country in Africa he was in. The ship hovered over the White House. It was like a scene from Independence Day. The ship just stood there but, from the manipulated audio, the ship was emitting a very loud recording in their own language. War grunted because he knew what it was like being shouted at in another language. Most of them being threats or orders to surrender. War knew the fight he was going to have to fight next: defending Earth. As time rolled on, War was on a plane home, somewhere he hadn't been in years. He watched as the ship eventually landed and tall, muscular, pale men attacked the White House. Some teleporting, others moving super fast, others taking shots from the army and secret service as if they were socks thrown at them. Despite the no fly laws in affect, war was able to pull strings to get the private jet home. Since he had boarded the plane, more ships had come into view and he was sure this was a full scale invasion, not just a random attack.
"This is going to suck." He grumbled as he got onto a bike and drove toward Washington D.C. He knew he was going to have to fight in more than one place but he didn't know where else to start then the place where they were already attacking. Soon he was going to be in over his head if he was the only one fighting but he wasn't afraid.

Tabitha passed by a shop window, various plasma screen televisions showing the carnage that had become Washington D.C. It had seemed that she wasn't the only one having troubles today. She was pretty far from the nation's capital, and didn't think she'd be able to do much to help. Right now she had troubles of her own. She had to get off of the street and find some place to stay for the night, and then there was getting dinner and more money to keep her going.
She looked back over her shoulder, not noticing anyone following her, and then blinked from one side of the glass to the other, finding herself in the store. If she could grab some quick cash she could get a carry out of pizza or Chinese, and then find somewhere to stay. With everyone watching the screens in either horror or curiosity, she could go unnoticed. By the looks of it the shop could afford to lose a few dollars and still survive. It would be very charitable of them to donate to her traveling funds.

It was amazing that the news was able to get as close as they were before War got there. He got in front of a cameraman and started shouting at him. "You need to get out of here." He tried to warn and then turned around to charge into battle. With an ear splitting roar, War was coming close to one of the aliens. The alien turned to him and moved to destroy the man, but War was stronger and heavier than the being expected. As War jumped onto the being, his punches destroyed the thing's head. Then he was attacking another. He was going to have to move quickly in order to save the president.
As he punched and kicked his way through the group of aliens, they turned to the real threat. War was soon outnumbered and trying to fight them off but was having trouble. The teleporter was too fast and kept hitting War around. Then the being grabbed War and disappeared. He dropped the heavy fighter somewhere far from the fight but War reacted and grabbed the alien's leg and was teleported back to the fight.

Tabitha stopped and stared at the tv along with the other people as she saw the alien teleport. It could do the same thing she could, and looked as if it was just as good as she was. She managed to break her eyes away from the screen, stuffed the money into her pockets, and then teleported outside. She began making her way down the street, wondering if the man on the screen could use her help. If nothing else, she could find out how it knew how to teleport, and possibly where it learned how to do it. It could explain where she got her ability from.
She concentrated on the White House, the front lawn that she had seen on the screen. She could feel her skin growing cold as she concentrated, letting her know that it was going to be a long teleportation trip, and that she would be a little wonky when she got there. She felt her ears pop when she disappeared off of the street and found herself in the middle of a battle on the White House lawn.
"This was a bad idea. A really, really bad idea."

War was tossed through the battlefield. He landed at the feet of a girl who was just standing in the middle of everything. "Get out of here! It's too dangerous!" He ordered as he got back up and charged back into the fight. War wasn't backing down as he kept fighting. Even though he was getting hurt, he wasn't stopping. As the teleporter came back at him, he tried to fight it off but it was too quick. But he caught onto a pattern as it kept hitting him. It disappeared again but when it reappeared, War knew where it would land. As it's body came back, it landed with War's arm inside it. He yanked hard and pulled his arm out, pulling organs out with it. He was quick and so he didn't waste time admiring his work.
As soon as the aliens had seen him do that, they started to retreat. He chased after them but as they all got into their ship, the door closed behind them. He tried to punch his way in, but he just wasn't strong enough. He moved away as it took off and figured he just needed time to get ready for the next fight. That's when he remembered the girl. He turned back to her and asked his questions. "What are you doing here? Why did you come out to the middle of this fight. It was dangerous, you know." He was talking like he was scolding a child but she wasn't much younger than him.

Tabitha looked up at the large man as he spoke to her, still shaken by the action that had been around her only a few moments before. She had been mesmerized by how strong the man had been, how powerful he seemed amongst the alien warriors. As his tone turned more into a scolding, she blinked back from him three feet, and then right back to where she had been standing originally. She wasn't going to let some big meathead talk to her like that just because he thought he was the only one with powers.
"I came here because that thing you were fighting could teleport, just like me. And I wanted answers before you beat it's brains in."

War watched her move about with her powers before smirking. He guessed this battlefield wasn't too dangerous for the likes of her. She was just like him, only different. She could teleport which was probably more helpful than his strength. She could be anywhere in an instant. He wished he had that ability. So for now he'd just have to work with her. Since she wanted something from the things he just killed.
"Well, sweet heart, I technically ripped it's guts out." He said to her sarcastically.

"Ugh. I would have preferred it alive and talking. Maybe I could figure out...what I am you know?"
Tabitha looked around, and realized there were a lot of cameras watching them right now. This had been a terrible idea. Now everyone that had a television or TIVO would know who she was, or at least what she looked like. They needed to get out of here before people started showing up.
"Come on, take my hand. We need to get out of here, figure out what to do next. Because right now, I'm not letting you out of my sight until I get answers."
