The Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral is one of the largest Gothic designed Cathedrals in the city, located at the heart of the French Capital. It has a gigantic floor for sermons, one large organ piano and two large bell towers. With its fort-like design, along with its strudy doors, the Cathedral offers hope and safety in a time when chaos reigns supreme.

Amanda, Louise, and the girl had made there way through the ally, and then came to the large structure. This, however, was a bit more obvious as to what it actually was, a Cathedral. She didnt have to be from Paris to know what one of them looked like, but this one was much much bigger then any shes seen before. Amanda couldnt tell if Louise knew where she was going or not, it almost seemed like she mightve known the area atleast somewhat, but then again it mightve just been pure coincedence. Either way, all three of them made there was up to the large front doors, and then checked them.
"Locked... Thats expected..." The red headed girl spoke. She knew this place would be a very good refuge, and with that, a fortress safe from anything or anyone getting inside. Amanda hadnt really noticed until now that this girl handled her SMG like a professional, as she reloaded a magazine with speed and ease. It was few small, not much bigger then Louis' and her own handgun, but she could tell it was automatic. As she caught a glimpse of something shining under the girls hood, it looked like a badge. She had ran off around the large building, seemingly checking for a back way in. While she was gone, Amanda spoke to Louise, assuring her the scene. "...Dont worry about her, if she was going to kill us, shed have done it already. I just a feeling about it..."

Louise watched as the girl sprinted off away from them. Amanda then spoke to Louise, she looked at Amanda and replied "There's something about her...she runs off everytime we think she's on our side..."
Louise looked back at the Cathedral doors. We need to get in here. Louise looked around the courtyard and saw a loose bench in the corner. She ran over to it and lifted it up. Amanda helped her straight away. The pair began smashing the door in, it seemed to be making a lot of noise, but it didn't attract any unwanted attention. As the door began to collapse, Louise and Amanda dropped the bench. They both entered the Cathedral with their guns held high.
As they arrived inside, the building seemed unsettlingly quiet. As they moved closer into the church a gun shot was fired at the pair. Louise dropped to the floor, as did Amanda. Another gun shot followed. Louise couldn't quite tell where it was coming from. She began to shout "Don't shoot, we're human!" Suddenly, the gun shots stopped. Louise raised her hands in the air and slowly got to her feet. As she looked around she saw and old man holding a gun. He wasn't a vicar, he seemed to be a normal person. The man began to speak "Que faites-vous ? La décomposition en bas la porte comme ça ? Ils peuvent entrer maintenant!". Louise couldn't understand what he was saying, she looked to Amanda and glanced back at the man. "We don't want any trouble. We just want a place to stay...". The man lowered his gun and began walking towards a stair case. Louise and Amanda followed. He then spoke again "Je ne peux pas comprendre que vous dites, mais si vous voulez l'abri vont en haut." Louise just nodded at the man and began to walk up the stairs. As she reached the top, her and Amanda entered a small bedroom...

The red headed girl heard the gunshots, as she quickly ran back around the place from the outside. The door had been opened up now, but it wasnt broken. Before she could walk in, it swung back, but she stopped it with he arm, and slipped inside before it closed. Looking at the old man, she looked at the gun, which was still smoking bit. A misconception, that all it was. She nodded to him, and then helped him lock the door back up. It mustve taken quite a force to get it open, the other two girls were able to, but the zombies would fail. The place was so big, it almost seemed like there wasnt even any outbreak, it was just peaceful.
Louise and Amanda entered the bedroom, and closed the door. She sat down on one of the beds, looking around at the shelves and things. This mustve been a guest room that the man had set up for people, but didnt seem like there was man around. Amanda was starting to get tired, as she layed down on the bed, getting comfy. She was pretty much out of energy, sleep was something she needed. "Hey, lets say we find out about this place more tomorrow... We should catch some shuteye." Amanda didnt understand french, but he seemed to welcome them in, as he didnt bother them the rest of that evening.
The red headed girl wandered around the bottem section of the cathedral, still making sure there wasnt any infected inside. Chances are there wouldnt be, but just to be on the safe side, it wouldnt hurt to keep ready. Coming across a bunk bed at the end of the area, she sat down, feeling the soft matress. It has been awhile since she last sat on a matress, and the energy just left her. Jumping up onto the top bunk, she leaned against the wall, placing her gun on the bed. Even if there was a breakin, she would be safe from the undead up here, this made her sleep mor calmly.

A "safe" feel filled Louise. They seemed to be safe here. Louise looked over at Amanda as she began to get herself to sleep. She layed down and began to settle. Louise looked around the room, there was a large window overlooking the room. The moon was shining in on the room. Louise walked towards the window and looked out at the moon. It was beautifully perfect. For a moment, Louise forgot about the outbreak, forgot about the zombies, the chaos, she began to think of her parents, she'd lost her mother, the thought gave Louise a tight knot in her stomach, it realisation hit her; her Mum would never speak to her again. She would never yell at her for being late for work again, she wouldn't take care of her after a night out again. The thought of never hearing her Mother's voice choked Louise. She began to cry, tears rolled down her eyes. The woman who had brought her into the world was dead and there was nothing Louise could do about it. Despite this, Louise began to think about her father. She didn't know where he could be, the thought of his death was too much...too much to think about now anyway. She wiped the tears from her eyes and moved one of the beds near the window and began to settle down. As Louise took one last look at the night sky and fell asleep...hopefully the sun would come out tomorrow...

Amanda awoke to the sound of a mans voice at the door, but it was in french, and she couldnt understand anything. However, it did seem appologetic, she could just catch it. She stood up from the bed, and then went to the door, opening it up. The older manw as standing there, trying to pull of a smile, and motioning to come downstairs, but there was no rush. Amanda smiled and then nodded, turning to Louise as the man walked back down the steps. "Hey! Morning! Seems this nice man wants us downstairs... You can meet me down there, okay?"
Amanda left the room, and then walked down the steps herself. Upon reaching the bottem, she turned a left into the open area, where a table was set up. But not only that, a good amount of food was on them, as the man set up silverware. Amanda eyes grew big, as she walked over, and sat down, looking up at the man. She did speak in english, but also used a lot of gestures to make sure he point came across. "Omigosh! You didnt need to do this for us!" The man smiled, and then set down a basket of dinner rolls. They looked a bit hard, but better then what she would be eating. "Pl...-p-lee..." Amanda grinned, and then spoke as the man tried to speak english. "Thank you... Very much... Hey Louise! Come check this out!"

Louise saw Amanda leave the room with the French man. Louise got out of bed and checked herself out in the mirror at one side of the bedroom. She played with her hair for a while, she looked outside, there were a couple of zombies out there, both legless and crawling. Nothing too serious. Louise checked her gun and tucked it in her belt. She began to make her way after Amanda. As she followed the voice of Amanda's, she saw that there were quite a few people in the Cathedral, many people in their night wear. Louise finally found Amanda and was shocked at the feast that had been layed out. The French man stood in front of her with a tray and a glass of orange juice on it. Louise took the drink and sipped it. "Merci". She sat next to Amanda and began tucking into some food. The man sat next to Louise and spoke softly "Vous ... comment avez-vous survécu ?". Louise glanced at him and looked back at Amanda "He wants to know how we survived...". Louise smiled at him and began to speak "Cela a été une tornade, nous sommes allés à ma ville natale et décidé pour faire pour l'Egypte, c'est l'endroit le plus sûr y'see...". Louise felt that fate may have taken her to France, she was taught French as a little girl and understood, and could speak it very well. The man looked at Amanda and spoke again "Sont vous l'américain ?. Louise looked at Amanda "He wants to know if you're American...". Louise looked back at the man "Oui elle est le coup d'oeil de ..., qu'est-ce qui est arrivé ici ? Quand la France est-elle devenue infectée ?". The man had a sad expression printed across his face. Her looked at Louise and spoke again "Subitement les créatures de .. ont commencé à manger leur voie par la France. Ils juste ... ont mangé chacun, n'avait aucune clémence ... beaucoup de personnes sont venues au Cathedrial pour l'aide. Donc je, par le pouvoir de Dieu, remets cette église sur pied comme un sanctuaire..."
Louise began to speak "...I'm sorry..." She turned back to her food and began eating again, upset at the thought that their was possible chance that the outbreak had gone everywhere now...no escape. She looked at Amanda "Things are getting worse..."

Amanda ate the food that was infront of her, and sipped on the drink she had. This was really something she hadnt expected to be doing again, not this early in the mist of the outbreak. She listened to the man speak, very good that one of them understood the guy. While he spoke, Louise asked the translated questions to her. She wouldnt know how to answer them for him, but Louise more then likey knew the answers, she could tell by the look on her face.
As the meal contenued, Louis' face grew sad. They werent going to be safe in Egypt? Then it looked like it was just like old times, she wasnt scared of how things would turn out, they would survive this. But if they werent going to Egypt, then where could they go? Back to Raccoon City always crossed her mind, she wanted to see if her group was still kicking around, but also knew it would be even more dangerous there then anywheres else. But if they could just find them, this would be good. Amanda spoke out to herself, but she knew Louise could hear her. "I wonder if Rey is still alive..."

Louise's heard Amanda speak. She looked at Amanda who was looking quite nervous after speaking out loud. Louise began to speak to Amanda "Rey? Who's Rey?" Louise began eating the rest of her food.
Louise began to think about her adventure so far. She was shocked to still be alive. She'd survived zombies in Raccoon City, she'd survived the horror of her home town, she'd survived a huge monster in the Louvre, she'd done pretty well. Her father would be proud of her. Suddenly, she began to wonder; would the internet still be accessable around here? Outside of the Cathedral were shops and homes, one of the must have the internet somewhere, Louise figured she'd be able to find out more from there, and while she was searching the shops and homes, Amanda could search around the homes for some more info and clothes. Before discussing this with Amanda, she awaited a reply from her...

Amanda looked up at Louise, now she would have to explain who she was. Not that she was keeping it a secret, she just barely spoke of her, ever since the last outbreak. After swallowing the last bit of food, she downed her beverage, and then crossed her arms against her abdominal.
"Rey was... One of my best friends, we survived together during the last outbreak in Raccoon City. After things settled down, he went on with our own lives. Sure, we kept in touch with eachother, but that was about it. Once things started up again, I didnt have anyone to stick with, and the comotion on the streets was too much to handle. I tried looking for her, and the others aswell, but they were all gone. Im sure theyre still alive, I can just feel it, they are alive. But, sticking around Raccoon City would be a bad idea. I ended up just running for the Airport, there was nothing else I could do..."

Louise listened to Amanda's story, she was clearly worried about her friends back in Raccoon City. Louise looked at the mirror facing her. She remembered how dangerous it was in Raccoon City and how she nearly died trying to fend off the creatures. Louise looked into Amanda's eyes, they were brightly shining. Louise smiled at her "Amanda, we'll go back to Raccoon City to find your friends...but first, i need to do something" Louise got to her feet and walked towards the door. "Can you do me a favour? When you've finished breakfast head down the street, there are a few houses down there. Go into a few and search for old newspapers and clippings. Also, we need to find more food as a way of saying thanks to these guys for helping, i'm going to the computer store to try and find out about the outbreak a little more. Catch you later!" with that moment, Louise vanished from the small room, leaving Amanda alone.
Louise approached the Cathedral enterance. Two french men unblocked the door and let her out. Outside in the streets, the sun shone down. It was certainly a warm day. For a moment Louise could forget about the outbreak, but the fact that there was no birds in the sky brought her back to reality. The streets of Notre Dame were pretty small so she wouldn't get lost any time soon. Louise saw the computer store ahead and made for it. She began to walk faster, hearing the large Cathedral doors shut behind her. As she arrived at the computer store, she saw the front door wide open. It was obvious someone had been chased out. Louise placed her gun in front of her and walked forward. She steppped into the store. Suprisingly, it was very tidy, no chaos or destruction. Louise walked in and found the nearest computer. She sat down and began typing away. The computer had been left on some French website, it was like a French Ebay. Louise went to the computers settings and changed them to English. She could now understand. She searched for the latest on the outbreak. Many sites came up, for a moment Louise wondered if any other survivors were actually viewing the same as her too. She clicked the first website and recognised the page, it was the same one she'd seen when she was in London. Louise read the information carefully "...the powers that be claim that Egypt is still the safest place - EDIT: No, it's been confirmed that Egypt is now becoming more infected by the undead, we'll have the latest on the safest area as soon as..." With that, Louise knew it'd be pointless to go to Egypt now, she liked how safe France was how she could just pop out of the Cathedral to the places in the street. It was safe for now. But Amanda had travelled everywhere with Louise, so it was time to give something back for a change.
Louise printed off the page and held on to a copy. She then searched for her father. No results came up. Louise began to think "It's not as if he was famous for anything". She then remembered the name of the company on the letter she'd found in Raccoon City. "Umbrella Corporation". Louise typed and suddenly, thousands of links came up. One labelled "Umbrella Corp destroys the world and humanity as we know it". There were a few interesting articles, nothing major, just things which confirmed what Amanda said, Umbrella were behing the outbreak. No one knew why though. Louise got to her feet and returned to the Cathedral. She walked to the large doors and knocked. There was a small spy hole so she was recognised easily. The doors opened and Louise walked in.
Louise returned to her and Amanda's room, she read through the piece of paper carefully, waiting for Amanda's return...

After Louise had left, Amanda finished up, and then thanked the man for doing so much for them both. She could tell that it was a mistake leaving this place, at least in the eyes of the men inside here, it was safe. But she needed to stay with Louise, and do what she asked. Amanda was already wow'd when she said that they were going to head back to Raccoon City, but maybe that wasnt such a bad idea after all.
Amanda stood up from the table, and then walked for the exit, not five minuts after Louise did. After leaving once again, she took a back way onto the streets, things were different from the Louvre. They mustve been in a more calm part of the area, where the infection had already taken its toll. She walked down the opposite streets, searching for open houses. After finding a string of seemingly vacent places, Amanda moved in, making sure to stay as quiet as possible.

Louise read through the printed pages. A man came into her room. He had long hair and big blue eyes. He smiled at Louise. Louise was about to speak in French but then he spoke "I'm American...". Louise smiled "Can i help you?". The man moved closer into the room and sat across from Louise, he began to speak "I heard you and your friend earlier, talking about going back to Raccoon City. I recommend you don't!" the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. He kept it close to his chest and didn't show Louise "I'm a fortune teller. I've been...pretty famous for it around here and in Raccoon at one time...i predicted this would happen...the outbreak..." Louise felt a sense of disbelief come over her...no one could've predicted this... The man then reached for something else, it was an old newspaper from 1995. He handed it to her. Louise looked at the front page and saw a picture of the man sitting opposite her. She read the headline Fortune Teller Predicts Crisis Outbreak!. He was telling the truth...
Louise placed the paper on the floor "I don't see what this has to do with...", Louise was interrupted. "I'll tell you, i had to let you know how successful i was before you'd believe me. I heard you and the girl talking earlier, you said that you were going to find her friends...". The man then showed Louise the card. It was fairly small, with a picture of three figures...eating a woman. Louise looked at the man "As soon as you said you were going to Raccoon, that card dropped out my pocket...". Louise examined the card for a moment, it was pretty obvious what the man was trying to say... "I can look after myself..." said Louise. The man got to his feet and started to walk out the room. "I just thought i'd warn you, and you can keep the card..." with that, the man disappeared...

The door creaked open, and nearly closed shut behind her without her touching it, but it was just a breeze. She took out the 9mm, and aimed it in front of her, looking around for signs of anything that might be lurking in the darkness. Sure, the sun was out, but the windows were all boarded up, and little to no light actually got through. Heading into the kitchen, Amanda saw the fridge door open, the food was nearly all loots, everything but the things that went moldy. Swinging open the doors on the shelves, she found canned food, why wasnt this taken? Grabbing all she could and placing them onto the counter, Amanda found a bag off the side, and filled it up.
Now, all that was left were files, people mustve kept newspapers of the outbreak somewhere. Leaving the bag at the front door, she walked up the stairs, and then paced slowely through the hall. The place had a bad vibe, she wasnt normally the one to get scared, but this place gave her a bad feeling. Looking into the rooms, she noticed a horrible smell coming from somewhere, and her curiousity got the best of her as she tried to find out where it came from. The further down the hall she walked, the stronger the smell got. Until she hit the last door on the right, she placed her hand onto the knob, nearly jittering with anxiety, but it was locked! Amanda moved backwards against the wall, and drew he gun to the door, ready to break it open.

Louise sat in her and Amanda's room glancing at the card she had been given by the man. She dropped it and left the room. She glanced around and saw a few people walking up and down the corridor. The Cathedral had become people's life now, it seemed as if it was the sanctuary they had. Louise paced the halls thinking about the things she had done in the past few days...
As she came to the end of the corridor she saw one of the room doors open. A young man stood before a punch bag, which had a sword hanging out of it. The man held a sword and began swinging it in the air, fighting the punch bag. Louise recognised the sword, she had trained with a friend of her fathers a few years ago, it was a samurai sword. Louise stepped into the room, the boy gazed at her. She spoke "Do you speak English?", the man nodded and smiled; "Yes i do, i have travelled to a lot of countries and learnt a lot of languages..." the man seemed to have a Russian sound to his accent. Louise smiled "That's a fierce looking sword...", the man held the sword in the air and smiled. He looked at it with a proud expression on his face. "I have many, 500 to be exact.." he said politely. Louise's face began to light up, she'd love to battle with one of these swords again, she can handle herself much better with them. "I know this may sound rude, but can i have one of your swords please?". The man looked at her and giggles "Of course, you're straight to the point aren't you?". Louise grinned and felt slightly embarassed. The man placed the sword on the bed and knelt down and pulled out a trunk from under the bed. He opened it up and grabbed a red sword from it. He handed it to Louise... "That takes me back years..." said the man. Louise glared at the sword. It was perfectly styled... the man pointed to the door and began to move out of it. "I must go somewhere now..." said the man. Louise smiled and said "Thank you" politely and she walked back down the corridor into her and Amanda's room.
