-Abigail and Toast are now entering Rio de Janeiro-
((Google Translate came in handy here.))
Throughout most of the flight, Abigail had been aimlessly staring out the window, watching as the environment changed as they traveled. Attempting to get anymore sleep than the few hours she had was pointless, the thoughts of what her siblings might have been enduring now haunted her already tormented mind. As she attached the silencer to her handgun which she didn't intend to use, thoughts of what the General's lackey had said to her stirred through her head. Was she truly a murder? She shook her head at the thought. Killers enjoyed killing, didn't they? Enjoyment was not something she had received from the killing of her father, but something the lackey had said truly struck her, and her mind at edge ever since. Trying not to think of it, she attempted to clear her mind with no success. Nothing could stop the torture going on within her.
Looking out the window, Abigail saw that they were beginning to get lower. They were now low enough to see the tropical fruits hanging from the trees, although blurred by the speed the aircraft was traveling in. In a few minutes, the plane eventually landed, and they began to slow down. There was no turning back for Toast and herself now.
"Enjoy your time in Brazil." the pilot said after opening the plane's exit.
Stepping off the plane, Abigail and Toast weren't greeted very kindly, as several enormous and muscular Brazilian soldiers armed with assault rifles surrounded them. The soldiers spoke in a language Abigail had never heard before. She handed him the papers that the General had told her to give them after they landed at the airport.
"O jornal diz que eles precisam falar com Fabio." their speech seemed as if they were speaking while high on some sort of drug to Abigail, who could only speak English. One of the soldiers nodded at this, and waved towards Abigail and Toast as if telling them to follow him. Not knowing what else to do, Abigail followed along. They followed him through the airport, several signs with unrecognizable speech littered the walls. For the most part, the building was clean other than a few blood stains on the grounds. The Brazilian military had done a great job on keeping the area looking nicely. After several twists and turns, the soldier had led them to a man larger than even the soldier.
"Hello," the man said, Abigail having a hard time understanding him through his thick accent, "I am Fabio, and I will be your escort and guide throughout Brazil." he said, and glanced at Abigail. "And who might you be?"
"I am Abigail, and this is my friend Toast." Abigail responded.
"Greetings Abigail! And welcome to Brazil!" he said, taking Abigail's hand and kissing it, much to her discomfort. Whoever this man was, he struck Abigail as being way too happy for being a military escort. Personally, she didn't like it, though she imagined that Toast was laughing at her discomfort.

-Abigail and Toast are now entering Rio de Janeiro-
Toast was aware of the words spoken by their armed arrival party, all jets, especially private ones, were met by an armed detail as part of the containment procedure. For what many perceived as a third world country Brazil had been among the world's leaders in containing the outbreak. During his time working with the Security & Strategy Corporation in South American re-stabilization efforts he had found the south Americans to be efficient and ruthless when necessary, two traits that worked well when combating the Pandemic.
Fabio was a mountain of a man, large and intimidating with a thick accent but otherwise flawless English. He was grateful of the latter, it meant he could keep his knowledge of the language a secret until necessary. Often a person when expecting no understanding would be casual about information they would otherwise not share. He couldn't help but be amused by the discomfort that Abigail showed in the outward displays of attraction that were commonplace in the southern continent.
"Fabio, let's go. You'll have plenty of time to get to know Abigail on our little trip." This Fabio was a chirpy sort and had a happiness that he hadn't seen since before the outbreak, there was something wrong about him but at present he couldn't put his finger on it.
Toast did not take the time to stand around, merely striding past and toward the staging area outside of the private terminal hangar. He presumed they would be departing by ground transport as the mission brief, and it had been brief, had shown the location to be within driving distance of Rio. It made sense to make sure isolation was not the only key during a kidnap, you had to be able to exfil to an area where you could lose yourself with your captive quickly. That and the fact that a helicopter drew more attention and in a mission where covert infiltration was key it was an inferior option.
As he stepped into the humid air and still heat of Rio he was reminded of his first time arriving in Rio years ago. Back then it had been to help people, now was no different but there was a number of extenuating circumstances that had caused this particular trip.
For the first time in almost three months he felt.......alive. There was something about the changes that had happened that had switched him on.
After they had grabbed the siblings, or not as the case might be, he would try and shake their 'guide' and get in contact with what few potentially friendly intelligence contacts remained alive in Rio. Simon had the distinct feeling that if this Fabio did he job well then he would have to be taken care of.....permanently.

Glancing at Toast, and then back at Abigail, Fabio said, "Right, your mission." he said. "Well, there are two options we could take there. We could either drive towards where they were last seen, or we could take the faster route and simply fly there via helicopter. Due to them being cut off from the communication, they probably don't even know you're here, so taking a helicopter sounds like the better choice to me." he suggested. Whoever Fabio was, he knew his information, but he was didn't seem as if he was higher up in the rankings of the LSA. Still, something bothered her Abigail about him, something that just made her feel unsafe around him. Abigail got over it; it was probably just that he was hired by the LSA, and she didn't trust them, so naturally, she wouldn't trust him as she would another person.
Immediately, Abigail decided that the best option would be to go in via ground-transport. Fabio had not earned her trust yet, and she didn't want to put her family in harm's way if they did happen to know of their presence."Let's drive, they may know of our being here, and might be prepared for a helicopter." she said. For a moment, she realized that she hadn't listened to Toast's opinion, and had been going by her own ever since the briefing of their current mission. Would he have anything helpful to say? She didn't know, but she figured that he would do everything the same as she was doing it, after all, it was her family, and she was sure he would do everything the same in her shoes. Emotion had driven every action she made ever since the General's blackmailing, and it was too late for her to stop the danger she had gotten herself into. "Whatever," she thought, "All I want to do is bring them back to safety, and I'll do anything to make sure it happens."
"Alright," Fabio said, "Follow me towards the garage."

Abigail has taken it upon herself to make the decisions and while they had not been the wrong ones she was not experienced enough to lead the Op from here. She had also made a vital mistake of telling Fabio her name, codenames may have sounded silly at first but you could not presume the contact meeting you was briefed beyond a certain job and knowledge was certainly power. There was also the case that it was unclear as to what agency or military Fabio owed his allegiance. If he was NSA or from the Company then he didn't need to known LSA business. As they walked toward the garage he slowed Abigail's walk with a small touch before leaning in to whisper to her.
"Use your codename, from now on I am Sale, especially on the Comms." The irony was not on Toast, his old codename had been reinstated by the LSA, most probably as a taunt or joke from the General. Designed to point out he was back to history and service. It grated but it took more than a name to fully unsettle him.
He spoke up this time, not bothered about Fabio hearing their words.
"You are right about the Helicopter insertion, but only partially about the reason. The ground transport allows us a quicker Exfiltration once the targets are secure. A helicopter means waiting and only works if they are on standby, it also means no evac if the Landing Zone is hot."
If she was to be taught he would not neglect his duties, it never hurt to learn something new, knowledge was never wasted. He wasn't happy taking an untrained operative on such a difficult mission but Abigail could be trusted, at present, and he preferred her to an LSA operative. It at least made sure that the betrayal would not come from his partner. The wild card was their mercenary foe, they could be top level professionals or cowboys doing a simple child kidnap job. Regardless it would change their fate, Toast had outlasted enough of his enemies because he was a survivor. Before the second outbreak he had been shortlisted for the new Nano-Suit SOCOM trials in the US Government. A project that would partner an almost living combat super suit to the soldier, making them superhuman in their abilities. The project had been stopped due to higher priorities but Toast had a sinking feeling that the LSA's super soldier program was merely an advanced progression of such a project.
Toast hopped into the back of the waiting light support 4x4 making sure to keep his gear on him. The drive wouldn't be long but judging by the map that Fabio had handed to him, complete with fire support grid references, it would be down jungle tracks.
He settled in for a short but bumpy ride. **************************************************************************
As they entered the tropical forest proper and left the shanties of Rio behind them he stayed alert, keen to try and spot anything out of the ordinary. They were out of the safe zone now and whether it was zombies, guerrillas or mercenaries there was no telling what might surprise them.
"Fabio, have we got any air assets for this mission?"

"Alright," she said, "For now, I'm Rogue." she winked at him, as if to lighten up the mood. Things had been serious, and it had put an invisible wall between her and Toast, or Sale as she was supposed to call him now. Without him, she would have continued on her quest to run from herself for the rest of her life. Him being there had definitely put a twist on things, and while she wasn't in the best of moods at the time, she definitely was grateful that he had been there helping her endure the hardships they were going through together. She could never thank him enough through words, but she'd find a way eventually, when the time came for it.
Fabio, whom Abigail noticed had been tilting his head as if attempting to listen in, turned, looked at Toast and said, "Secrets are not safe, my friend." his voice had gone from friendly to serious. Abigail couldn't comprehend why he would change his personality so early into the relationship, but a feeling of discomfort came about whenever he was around now. "And I see what you mean, ground transport it is." he said in a stern voice. He no longer seemed like the kind, caring man they had met, there was definitely a darker side to this man, something that Abigail noticed Toast had been noticing of as well.
Stepping into the vehicle, Abigail took a seat, and prepared for a long, boring ride.
**************************************************************************
After about an hour, they had finally stopped driving. Fabio was the first to step out of the vehicle, and answered Toast's question."We've got no air support from here on out, but the group was last located here about three hours ago. If we're going to find them, we're going to probably have to search deep in the forest. Hold on." Abigail watched as Fabio looked around the area, appearing as if he was searching for something.
"What are looking for?" she said, curious.
"They were here not long ago, look for footprints." he replied, and continued his search. Moving deeper into the forest, Abigail did what he said, and began her search of any clues on where the group may have headed.
