Anna had turned around, seeing both Jimmy and Aryn looking back at them, smiling widely. They were obviously beat up and tired, but they were happy. Anna dropped her bags on the ground, staring in awe at them.
"Jimmy...Aryn..." she managed to choke out before grabbing at the two of them and holding them tightly. She started to sob uncontrollably while nuzzling the two.
Jimmy and Aryn both hugged her back and looked at their father, reaching their arms out to him too. "I know! We're not dead! Everyone thought we'd be dead but we're not!" the little eight year old said, happily.
Rich knelt down, still holding his bags as he got within hugs reach. "I didn't think you were dead sweety. Oh oh, reach into the bag and grab you and Jimmy some reunitement selects!" he said happily.
"Don't mind if I do! Screw you, Aryn," Jimmy said, reaching into the bag.
Aryn glared at him. "Screw me? Screw you, jackass!" she said, pointing at him. "I can still eat fries!"
Anna continued holding onto them before finally letting go. "Oh sh*t! My food!" she exclaimed, wiping at her eyes and looking down at her fallen food.
As the family continued their tearful reunion, Allison watched from a distance. The Holdens were safe and together again. She hadn't seen such a sight in such a long time. It stirred up feelings inside of the seasoned mercenary. Feelings she hadn't acknowledged in so long. The feeling of love and being loved. To be missed and to miss people.
"Looks like the Holdens are all together again," she commented, looking out at the family.

"Huh, why's one of their kids...?" Roger started.
"She's adopted...well...they're both adopted. Used to be a biological one too but she, uh, died last year," she mentioned.
"Mhhmm, well it's nice to see something work out alright considering the state of things, right?" Roger turned to her smiling before biting into his chicken once more.
She smiled back. "After everything we've seen and been through, this is a welcoming change, if I ever saw one."
"So how's your arm doing? I've seen that sling you've been neglecting back in the barracks."
She'd laughed nervously, bringing her right hand up to grab at the injury. "I don't need it, it'll only slow me down and get in the way....we've been through this, remember?"
"Get in the way of what exactly? Hauling me around this terminal and watching over me in my room? There's no need to be quick on the draw around here Allison," Roger laughed a little, before have a small coughing spell.
"Are you alright?" she asked, knitting her brows together with worry.
"Yeah yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine, just ate too fast, it's nothing," he told her, laughing it off.
"Mm.." she moaned a little, looking at her empty bowl. "Sorry I've been...well, probably insufferable since you've been sick. I just want to make sure you're alright," she told him.
"I know, I know, and it's no big deal. It's nice having someone around who cares," Roger said looking at her.
"It is..." she trailed off.
"So you gonna put your sling on?"
"No."

Anna had successfully picked up her fallen McDonalds, checking over the firmly wrapped burgers to find they were still in tact. Every Hot n Spicy and every Quarter Pounder. still secure in their wrappers....her fries, not so much...nor her soda.
"Aw man, I don't have anymore money on me for more soda or fries or..." she groaned. "Wait a second...where's Chase and Jake? I could ask them to buy me something!" she said, hopefully.
Aryn had been eating out of her dad's fry box and took over his soda when she'd looked at her mother. "Dey'r infa font."
"Doing what?"
"Oh, yeah, they hung back to talk to the mercs here while we snuck up with you guys. We just got reunited at the front gate too," Jimmy said, taking a burger from his mom.
"What?!" Anna screeched.
"Yeah, we got separated a few days ago and we got lost. Man it was hardcore, this crazy lady with white hair and a hole the size of a friggin' golf ball had stalked us for awhile! Then this Asian guy found us and brought us here," he explained, taking a big bite out of his burger.
"Also," Aryn added, gulping down a big gulp of soda. "I got bit again!"
Anna looked at her kids back and fourth before going pale. Clutching her chest, she'd stumbled back a little. "I THINK I'M HAVING A HEART ATTACK...."

"Anna, Anna, stay with me now," Rich said holding her up. "Maybe we should find a place to sit down, then you guys can tell us about your, uh, adventures," he said, feeling a little anxious himself about the danger his kids had went through.
Aryn shook her head. "We're fine though, it's teeth didn't go through but it broke through the skin a little. Look, I drew a smiley face in it!" Aryn said, shoving the soda in her brother's arms and rolling up the sleeve of her jacket. There'd been a circular bite mark, scarring her arm. In it, was a happy face.
"Look, guys, see? I'm okay!" she said, squeezing on the face to make it talk.
"Hehehe, that's actually kinda cute," Rich said looking over at his wife. Anna, however, didn't find any humor in it. Instead, she just squinted at him.
"It's dark. And if this was anyone but my kid, it would be funny....but right now, it's terrible."
"Riiight, so come on, I think they have some tables over here, come on Aryn, Jimmy, before your mother strokes out."
"If she strokes out, it's cuz of all these burgers she's eatin," Jimmy commented, grabbing another burger. Aryn ran ahead to a bunch of tables when she'd suddenly stopped in her tracks, staring blankly at the woman nearby.
"Aryn don't run off, y'all barely got back!" Rich said chasing after her and grabbing her shoulders.

Aryn hadn't really heard her father. Infact, she was busy trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Sitting infront of her had been Crowley and before she could say a word, they'd locked eyes.
''Oh boy...'' Allison muttered. As she did, she'd found herself, again, under gunpoint. Aryn had unholstered the compact Beretta from her hip and pointed it, sloppily, at her. Her eyes were infuriated and for a split second, it sort of unhinged Allison.
Putting her hands up, Allison shook her head. "You've gotta be kidding me."
"Shut up! You're s'pose to be dead! You're not gonna hurt my family anymore, lady!" Aryn cried out, her arms shaking.
"Aryn!" Anna yelped.
"Woah, hold on now kid, you don't wanna do this," Roger said, standing up from his chair and holding his hands up.
Aryn kept her eyes looking at Crowley. "Sit down and I won't hafta shoot you either!" she threatened.
"Aryn, calm down," Rich said putting his hand over her tiny gun. "I don't need my daughter killing someone before her tenth birthday," he added disarming her.
Aryn looked at her now empty hands and turned around to look up at her parents, obviously angry. "You're just gonna let 'er go?! Like that! She tried to kill my mom and she tried to take me and she probably shot Jimmy and she made you miserable when you thought mom was dead!" she blurted out. "And you're letting her go?!" she screamed, looking at Anna, almost persecuting her.
"This is the second time! Kill her, mom!" Aryn yelled.
"Aryn!" Rich bellowed.
Aryn quickly closed her mouth and glanced at him, defiantly. "She's a coward. That must be it, you're a coward," she said, looking at Anna again.
"Aryn! You know your mother isn't coward, and I know Crowley's caused you a lot of strife, but killing her isn't going to help you, or me, or any of us. So stop throwing a tantrum and calm down, or else Crowley isn't going to buy you McDonalds like she promised."
All at the same time, everyone turned to look at Crowley, expectantly.
Allison, suddenly thrown into the middle of things, in a very...odd turn of events, had stared back at them, unsure of what to say. "Uh..." she began, trying to find the rest of her sentence. "I guess...I guess I should give you my card then..." she said, digging in her back pocket and flicking out a card.

Aryn quickly snatched up the card and squinted an eye at her. "What's my limit?" she asked. Allison reched at the back of her neck, scratching it a little. "Just...don't...spend anything over a grand, please."
She'd looked at her brother and waved her hand at him. "C'mon, Jimmy we're goin' shoppin'," with that, she and her brother wandered off.
Roger, who had been steadily sliding his way in front of Allison stepped back and into his own seat once more. "So uh, some kids huh?"
Allison sighed heavily and dropped into her seat again. "Your child is a demon spawn," she commented, glaring at Rich and Anna.
"She is, yes," Anna mentioned, watching the kids wander away.
"She's getting better though. She took your money, that's gotta mean something," Rich observed as he sat down.
Anna seated herself next to Rich and put her bag of food down on the table, pulling another burger out. She took a bite out of it, but she looked pretty sad while eating.
"So, uh...I'm sorry about all of that... I'm assuming all of that had to do with me. Somehow..." Allison said, uncomfortably.
"Well what did you expect would happen when you try to kill someone and kidnap their daughter?" Rich told her venomously.
Allison sunk in her chair a little and lowered her head. "Uh, right..." she said, lowly. "Again, I'm sincerely sorry for everything I've ever done to your family," she told the two of them.
"Yeah we get that. Wound's still fresh though and trust doesn't really come cheap. Course you know that now that your a grand in the hole," Rich said as he finished off his fries.

"I wasn't really talking to you, more to Anna," she said."No offense, but she is the person this whole problem centered around," she explained, trying her hardest not to come off rude.
"Well, I can't say I forgive you right now, can't say that I absolutely trust you, but you haven't tried putting a bullet in my back. Or my husband's. Or my children as of yet...Your mercs are all dead too, so no snipers are going to get me. I'd say you're pretty f*cking harmless now that you can't hide behind them," Anna told her, bitterly.
Allison suddenly flinched, her fingers curling tightly around her glass. "Right...." she muttered, feeling every nerve in her body pinch.
"So uh, any of you guys like eighties rock?" Roger asked, trying to break the tension in any way he could.
Anna and Allison both looked over at him. Silently thanking Roger, Allison spoke up first. "I do. The hammier, the better," she commented.
"No way, Crowley, you can't be cool like that, you're Crowleys," Anna suddenly interjected, in disbelief.
"Why do you keep calling me, 'Crowleys'?" she asked.
"I don't know, the first coupla times it was an accident but then it stuck," Anna said, taking a bite of another burger.
"Okay..well...uh, any specific bands you like, Roger?" Allison asked, looking at her friend.
"Journey's always nice," Roger said before eating a spoonful of rice.
"Man, everyone loves Journey," Rich exclaimed between handfuls of fries.
"You're a loser if you don't like Journey," Anna added.
"They have some good music, I'm more partial to their slower songs though," Allison mentioned, taking a sip of her tea.
"Like 'Open Arms'," she and Anna both said, at the same time. They's looked at eachother, a little suprised.
"No waaaayyy..." Anna whined.
"Too spooky," Rich muttered.
"'Don't Stop Believing' and 'Anyway You Want It' are good driving tunes," Roger shared.
Rich picked up where Roger was going. "Their good for road trips too. Back when I was crossing the country with my buds, we had an 80s mixtape that was boss. It had all the greats, Journey, 'Livin' On A Prayer,' 'Take On Me,' 'Head Over Heels'..."
Anna burst out laughing. "Wow, Tears for Fears, really, Rich? You and your buddies, alone, out on the road, listening to..." she trailed off, starting to loudly hum the intro of the song.
Allison chuckled and shook her head. The conversation was taking a turn for the better and she'd felt more at ease.
"I wanted to be with you alone! Anna sung, tapping the beat on the table. "--And talk about the weather! Something, something something---!"
"Something happens and I'm head over heels, I never find out till I'm head over heels," Allison joined in, singing the chorus. Anna grinned a little and kept up the beat.
"Something happens and I'm head over heels! Ah don't take my heart! Don't break my heart!" she continued on her own, pointing at Allison.
"Don't-don't- don't throw it away!" they both said, Allison a little louder this time. The two women broke out in laughter. This was definitely a weird turn of events.

"Hey, what are you kids doing in on a plane like this?" a strangely dressed shopclerk called out to the Holden children.
"What? We're not on a plane," Jimmy said, raising a brow.
The shopclerk smiled and corrected himself, "Oh of course, my apologies, English is not my first language. We have plenty of nice things, very cheap, some free, come look! Cina, look at these children. They don't belong in a place like this."
A woman poked her head out from behind a curtain on the otherside of the stall. She had weird tattoos on her forehead. "Definitely don't belong in a place like this. It's very dangerous out in the pl-place. This place," she said.
"That's what I told them. We have to give them things don't we? I mean, we must!" the man said, going into the back of the shop, his low ponytail and his strange looking clothes waving behind him as he went.
Jimmy squinted an eye at them and heard his sister whispering, "I like these people, they're weeeeird."
The woman, Cina, smiled at them and hopped over the counter and stood infront of them, looking down at them. "You remind me of someone...a very close friend of mine's grand daughter," she said, looking at Aryn.
"I get that alot, actually," Aryn told her.
"And you remind me of, well, you don't remind me of anyone I know. Maybe one day, I'll come back and tell you if I meet them elsewhere," she said.
"Uhh cool, thanks?" Jimmy said, smiling a little. "So, um, where do you and your uh..." he trailed off, unsure of what they were.
"Husband."
"Husband come from? Middle East or something?" he asked. Cina smiled. "Ah well...we're from...well, that's not really important. We travel to so many places, I forget sometimes," she said, laughing.
"That's probably my fault, sorry!" they heard her husband call back from the back of the shop.

Jimmy and Aryn, again, exchanged looks. "That's a cool piece of armor ya got there, lady," Aryn said, pointing at the shoulder pauldron. The woman glanced at it, unstrapping it from her shoulder and placing it on the counter, out of view.
"Thank you, I got it from the museum a few days ago," she told her.
"Neat, I want one!"
"That's pretty smart, using old armor like that to get by the zombies and the monsters," Jimmy mentioned. Cina nodded and smiled at him.
"It's very effective, yes," she responded, nervously.
"Are you out here lying to children? My, my, my my my..." the man said coming up to the counter and gazing across it to his wife, a smirk across his face.
She shot him a glare and turned back to the kids, smiling widely. "Look at the time! I better get back to...that thing...in the back...." she said. "I'm sure Rios here can finish up whatever it is...we're doing, here, right now," she ranted, moving to the back again, rubbing at her neck.
"Yes, I can't handle all this tedious present giving all on my own. Come, come, look what Master Algalari has for you miss...?"
"Master?" she asked, giggling a little. These old people were silly. "Aryn, my name's Aryn and this is my big brother, Jimmy," she introduced themselves, politely.
"Ah yes, now I'm sure a young girl like you has to hold on to plenty of things all the time. Your money, your weapons, your temper?"
Aryn was going to object but Jimmy quickly brushed her aside with wide eyes and pointed at her. "YES," he said.
"Well she'll have an easier time holdin' with this satchel," Rios told them, before revealing a quality leather belt and satchel.
Aryn looked at it in awe. It looked brand new and it'd been an awful long time since she had anything brand new. She took it and looked it over, a big smile on her face. "Cool! Thanks alot!" she said pulling it over her shoulder and chest. "I can finally get rid of this old, ratty, backpack," she commented, showing her brother.
Jimmy smiled at his little sister and ruffled her hair. "Thanks for that, Mr. Algalari," Jimmy told him.
"Don't finishing thanking me yet, I've got for you this!" The man held out his empty hand, his long billowy sleeve following it and swinging with his movement.
Jimmy and Aryn both looked at his empty palm and looked up at him, confused. Suddenly, Jimmy had smiled nervously and chuckled. "Oh thanks...it's uh, it's...it's air! I love me some air,"he joked.
"Oh my, I must be holding it wrong, how about this?" The man turned his upward facing palm downward, a small blue-green charm on a black chain dropping down before stopping, the chain caught on the man's fingers.
Jimmy smiled and took the necklace, undoing the clasp and putting it on. "This is pretty cool, thanks!" he said, hooking it on. "Does it mean anything?" he asked.
"Well no. It doesn't mean anything. It will however, bring you luck," the man said smiling.
"Great, I need all the luck I can get what with all the zombies hanging around," Jimmy said with a big smile.
"Are you a magician?" Aryn asked, impressed by the man's tricks.

"I don't know Cina, am I a magician?" Rios asked walking deeper into the stall.
"Sure, I guess," she answered in the background. "I think we both are. We're really good magicians. Perhaps, the best," she added.
"Traveling around, helping the helpless, find adventure in each other," Rios said taking his wife in hand and dancing around the stall.
Aryn smiled at the couple and walked up to the stall, putting her hands on the counter and watching them. Jimmy, on the other hand, scoffed at the last part, trying his absolute best to keep his stupid jokes at bay.
"Wow, you guys travelled the world before the outbreak?" Aryn asked.
"Well, we travel wherever we suddenly end up, yeah," Cina said, smiling at her husband.
"Yes, but sometimes we stop and travel some more, for a time," Rios added, smiling back as he gazed into his wife's eyes.
Aryn smiled more and watched them. They were a very strange couple and they definitely stood out among all the dreariness in the city. Infact, she'd felt like she'd known them forever just chatting with them for the passed ten minutes.
Jimmy, on the other hand, had quickly took to reaching for his notebook and scribbling something down. As he did, Cina decided to pipe up again.
"You know my best friend's son is a songwriter. He's very talented, swept our daughter right off her feet with his compositions," she said, looking at her husband still with a soft smile.
Jimmy looked up at them. "Uh, what?" he said, a little surprised.
"Of course she had her studies, and he was just a young man with a big heart," her husband continued, spinning his wife.

"But with time, the two of them had set aside all of their differences and they reunited in the end, proving that love can really conquer all," Cina said. "In the end, it's all you have left when everything else crumbles down around you," she said, embracing her husband.
Jimmy and Aryn both watched the couple hug and for a moment, it made Aryn look down, sadly. "I really shouldn't have said all those things to mom..." she suddenly said.
Jimmy looked down at her and put his hand on her head. "It's alright, Aryn. Mom knows you love her and that you're just blowin' off steam," he told her.
Cina glanced over at the children and smiled. "No matter what you say or do, your mother will always love you, little one. You're part of her and you always will be," she said.
"But I'm not her real daughter, so might not be the case. I said some pretty mean things..." Aryn explaind.
"Oh, don't worry about that. Regardless of whether or not you came from her body, when she took you in and cared for you, you became part of her anyway."
"Apologies will help you both feel better. Oh the pain daughters bring their mothers," Rios interjected as he appeared beside Cina.
Aryn looked up at the two and smiled at them. "Yeah, I'm kind of a pain in the neck sometimes."
"All the time," Jimmy corrected.
"Shut up, Jimmy!" she barked.

"Man, wasn't that song in like twenty movies?" Rich asked, havin' had gotten up and brought back a quartet of drinks for them.
"Hey, I appreciated every movie that much more when I heard 'Holding Out For a Hero', thank you very much," Anna said, taking her drink.
"It brought you out of the movie though. Instead of watching what was happening you were thinking, 'Oh I remember when this was in Short Circuit Two,'" Roger said taking his drink as well.
"Yeah, well, f*ck you," Anna told him, kicking back in her chair. "Anyway, what's up with the end of the world? Why isn't anyone all Mad Max up in this apocalypse? We need some "Simply the Best" up in here!" she said.
"Oh God, not that song...that video made me...uncomfortable," Allison shuddered.
"What, you got a problem with muscular, black stallions?" Rich asked kicking his feet up.
"You're a racist, Crowleys. Although, personally, I'm a white stallion kinda girl," Anna commented.
"I have a problem with spouting out metaphors for sex while riding a horse barefoot, yes," she said, taking her drink.
"I'm guessing I'm missing something and that's a good thing," Roger said, listening to them talk.
"You're very fortunate," Allison told him. "A middle aged woman with a revealing dress, riding horseback without shoes. Her expressions start..becoming...urgh...it's a very sensual video," she told him.
"Haha yeah but the song was made for Beyond Thunderdome, so that's always a plus!" Anna mentioned. "When you think about it, that song was totally about Mad Max, I mean, her character wanted to tap that sooo hard."
"I always wanted her to hook up with Blaster, that poor, unloved giant," Rich joked.
"I never saw the Mad Max series," Allison said.
"I didn't either until Rich came to live with me. I knew what the song was from but I hadn't seen the trilogy til my hubby came around," Anna said, smiling at Rich.
"If only we knew then how prophetic those films would be," Rich said in a faux somber voice as he placed his forhead against Anna's.

"Instead, we get zombies and monsters so thick in the cities and roads, we can't have long, winding, high speed chases. And no one runs Barter Town, because we don't have Barter Town!" she said, dramatically turning away to face Rich and biting her fist. "We got the crazy rapist raiders though."
"But none like Humongous. I have not seen one crazy, muscle-bound jack off in nothing but a hockey mask and leather underwear. Not one. Can you believe that?"
Allison reeled back in her chair a little, completely confused. She wasn't sure if they were joking or not and it only raised more questions about the film. Instead of keeping the conversation, she was obviously out of the loop in, going, she started another one up.
"So Robocop, that was a pretty crazy movie," she said.
"The second one was the best in my opinion. When he got on the motorcycle it was done," Roger said, as though it was the definitive word on it.
Allison stifled a chuckle and looked over at him. "Of course that's your favorite part," she mentioned, smiling.
"It's not yours?" Rich asked, siding with Roger on this one.
"Of course it's her favorite part in the movie. Who doesn't have the hots for any guy on a motorcycle," Anna joked, nudging Crowley. She only assumed that Roger could have been a bike guy, considering his armor the other night.
"Heh..." she chuckled, nervously.
"Allison...?" came an old, familiar voice. The merc looked over and away from the table, when she'd seen what could have been a ghost. Her eyes widened a little and her cup slipped through her hands, crashing onto the ground.
"...Li?" she barely managed to breathe out.
As she did, the two Holden siblings had come strolling on back dressed in the craziest of getups. Jimmy was wearing a "I <3 ZOMBIES" t-shirt, and blue Lennon Shades. Aryn was wearing a "I SURVIVED RACCOON CITY" t-shirt, three sizes too big. She had giant sunglasses on her face, a bag around her torso, a bag in her hand and a slice of pie in the other.
Jimmy had a guitar on his back and spiffy new necklace, also a slice of pie. "Hey Li!" he said, waving a bit at him.

"Li?" Roger said, looking at Allison, confused.
"Uh-oh, c*ckblock..." Anna whispered to her husband. Allison stood up from her chair and kept staring at the Asian man. "Li, where've..I thought you...is Russo here with you?" she asked, hopeful.
"You know, Crowley?" Jimmy asked, confused.
"Is he one of your mercs?" Roger asked, standing up with Allison. She looked over at him, still a little dumbfounded. "Yeah, he is...I mean, yes...he was," she said, looking back at Li again.
"Was?" Li asked, taking a step forward to her.
"I mean...I don't..I don't know what I mean..." she said, taking a step back.
"Uh, maybe ya'll should talk. I'll be back in the room, okay Allison?" Roger said, picking up his leftovers. She quickly looked back at Roger again and shook her head, grabbing his arm gently. "No, you don't have to leave," she said, her eyes almost pleading.
"Buuuut I think we should, c'mon Rich, kids, let's give them some space," Anna quickly added, getting her things together.
"Yeeeeaaah, you guys stay, come on Aryn, I don't see a McDonalds bag..." Rich said getting up and leading his kids away.
"Alright, I won't leave," Roger told her, putting his things back down. "So uh, Li..." he started, not really finishing his sentence.

"I thought you were dead," Crowley said to Li, her face angered. Li looked back at her, very much relieved to see her. He moved in closer and wrapped his arms around his leader, holding onto her as tightly as he could.
Taken back, Crowley froze up, tense and uncomfortable. It lasted for what felt like forever before she'd put her arms up to push him away a little.
"Is Russo with you or not?" she asked, annoyed.
Li smiled at her. Same ol' Crowley...but when he realized he had to answer that question, he suddenly wished she was more of a gentler sort of women for that moment in time.
"I...I'm not sure. She was shot back in the SPD and I tailed her shooter but her shooter, well, he put me out of commission for awhile..." he said, nervously.
Crowley sighed and pinched at her nose a little before shutting her eyes and pacing back and fourth. "I gave you one task. One," she began. "And you can't even----" she said before snapping her eyes open again. She'd looked back over at Roger and then at Li.
"I'm sorry...."
Li had his head lowered, ashamed until she'd apologized to him. He'd suddenly looked up at her bit shocked at her actions.
"Allison...?" he said, slowly.
"I'm glad you're okay, save for the battered face. I'm guessing the shooter roughed you up a little too well?" she asked.
"Heh, well, he and his friend were trying to interrogate me. They wanted to know more about you but I didn't tell them anything. They tailed me to Rendevous Alpha where we had a run in with Marion Yelena," he said.
"You had a run in with Marion too? Well...she's gone now, so you don't have to worry much about her anymore."
"You killer her for good?"
"No, Richard Holden and Anna McGraw, er, Holden, took her out a few nights ago. She's a pile of ashes somewhere, now," she told him.
Li looked away for a moment. "Well, that's good to know..." he trailed off before looking down at Roger. "Who's this?" he asked.
Allison glanced at Roger and smiled. "Oh, this is Roger Mann, he rescued me when my helicopter went down after the SPD attack," she explained. "We've stuck together since."
"Roger Mann, think she said that already though, heh," Roger said, standing up and holding his hand out.
Li shook his hand, absentmindedly, looking at Crowley again. "I see..." he trailed off.
