Abigail immediately placed herself next to the survivor upon reaching the first floor. "Stay behind me!" she said to the survivor. There wasn't much needed to be done, though. As soon as Abigail reached the woman, Connor had let out a intimidating roar which she assumed was his attempt to distract them. To her surprise, his method turned out to be successful, and they all turned to him. While he was fighting them, Abigail fired a few shots at the Hunters, but not enough to kill them; she didn't want to risk hitting Connor. Luckily, not much help from her was needed, and he managed to make quick worth of the reptilian creatures. When he was done, Abigail nodded at him with a smile. "Could you be any more of a bad ass?
Turning to the survivor, Abigail found that it was not a grown woman, but a teenage girl. "Are you okay? Abigail asked. The girl simply nodded, still shaking. "Where is everyone else? The girl gave no response. "Do you know where anyone else is?" This time, the girl shook her head. "Damn it." Abigail said under her breath. Nothing made sense. Why would the group have split up? Better yet, why would they leave this teenage girl alone?
"Connor, I'm not liking the way things are looking." she said, both frustrated and anxious. "I don't have any ideas on where the group could have moved, but we have to find them dead or alive." she said, disturbed by the thought of them all being dead. "Got any ideas?

Connor simply smirked and shrugged. He wasn't used to compliments so he didn't know how to take them. He cleaned himself up a bit and made sure the wounds he had gotten were taking care of themselves. He no longer cared about pain since it was only momentary. He decided at that moment to start modifying the shotgun with a saw, they just happened to be in the woodshop of the college. He took the stock off the gun before starting at the barrels. He made quick work of it before showing them the short and sweet but powerful shotgun.
Connor was done and decided to engage the girl in conversation. "So, what's your name?" He asked simply. He was trying to pass the time before others surfaced or the mama Hunter came out from hiding. He didn't hear anything from either target he was looking for. He wondered if they were going to have to check upstairs for the others or bodies of the others.
"So where are you from? Abi, where are you from?" He asked, not know anything about the people he was risking his life for. He knew his life was harder to take but it wasn't something he normally did. He wasn't even sure if it was worth his time talking to them either. So far he had gotten into 3 different fights with the monsters since finding Abigail.

Though Connor asked the girl questions, the girl gave no response. It was as if she wasn't fully there. Her body appeared to be fully healthy, but she seemed emotionless. Looking into her eyes was unsettling; it was as if you were peering into a realm void of any feelings. Abigail assumed that her absence of emotion could be due to the hardships of the outbreak, and might be recovered through interaction, but she couldn't be sure. Regardless, the girl followed Abigail and Connor, albeit silently.
When Connor asked Abigail where she was from, she couldn't help but let loose a gentle laugh. "Finally curious about who you're traveling with?" she jested. "I was born in Chicago and was raised in the wealthier suburbs of the state." she said. "It was actually a rather nice house. It was a two-story building, and there was even a pool in the backyard." she recalled. She remembered swimming with her siblings during the hot summers; they had had so much fun together despite living with a single parent. Abigail shook her head in an attempt to stop thinking about it. It didn't work. Instead, she redirected the question onto Connor. "Well Connor, how about you? Where are you from?"
While Abigail had been responding to Connor's question, and asking her own, they had been clearing upstairs. Like the rest of the building, everything had appeared to be clear of any threat; at least it appeared to be. In the middle of one of Abigail's steps, a noise stopped her. Pausing, she stopped and heard a creaking noise coming from behind the door to the right of her. "Connor, there's something in here." she whispered, and readied her gun to breach the room.
((You can decide what they encounter next. ;o))

Connor wasn't really up for more fighting. This is the most he had done in a while since he normally just did enough to survive and this was past suicidal. If things had felt wrong from the get go, Connor would have just turned around and left. He had left his gear behind before and wasn't worried about doing it again. He readied his bow and kicked the door in as he drew back. It was just a walker, missing most of a leg.
"It's just a crawler." He said as he let the arrow fly. It his the walker in the forehead. He grabbed the arrow before continuing. Things seemed off as they searched all of the second floor and found no one.
"So what the hell are we supposed to do? Seems like your friends just left her here. We should just go and find somewhere safer to hole up." He said as he already started to turn back and walk away. He wasn't about to search some more for someone who might not even be there. He was wasting his time and wasn't going to waste anymore.

Regardless of still wanting to find the rest of the group, it seemed fairly obvious that there was nothing to be found. They had gone through a ridiculous amount of trouble just to get to the college, which turned out to be not so safe. As much as she despised the thought of leaving without being sure her friends were still there, Connor was right; every moment they stayed was more and more dangerous. "Alright Connor, you're right." Abigail strained a bit trying to admit it. 'Where do you want to go?" she asked, hesitation still in her voice. "Wherever it is, we should be fast. This place is starting to make me feel even more uneasy."
(The idea I had is no longer valid. You can also kill off the girl in some way, if you choose to. Sorry for the length of my post, I'm having a mad case of writer's block right now.)

[Bringing Sarah Chase back out of retirement]
After moments of silence... what seemed like an eternity, Sarah moved back out into the hallway of the third floor dormitory. Not suprisingly, whoever... or whatever she had seen was long gone, probably taking the time she gave them to get the hell out of Dodge.
Just as well, thought Sarah as she crept toward the opposite end of the corridor. I didn't feel like killing anyone tonight anyway.
At the end of the corridor was another exit sign that led to another stairwell that may or may not have been filled with the undead. Sarah assumed not since the other girl and whoever was with her had to have vacated the floor through that door. A chill set in on Sarah and she shivered. Night was falling and it was getting cold. An open door to the right led into a dorm room. She gingerly poked her flashlight and her Glock through the doorway and swept the room. Nothing showed up as dangerous and nothing attacked her. Walking to the closet, she flung the door open and jumped back, waiting to be attacked. When nothing happened, she began to rummage through the room.
After her search, she looked at her newly looted items. Tennis shoes, socks and t-shirts rounded out her collection. Sitting under it all were two hoodies sporting Wesley College's mascot.
"Great", she said to no one in particular. "I'm going to look like a Wesley College Recruiter."
Still, it was better than nothing and as a reward for searching, she found a stash of water bottles and snack food - Beef Jerky, granola bars, and (the holy of all holies) a can of beer. Popping the top, Sarah drank her first taste of alcohol in... well a very long time. Ripping over the Beef Jerky and Granolas, she began to devour them.
"Eating like Kings and Queens tonight!" she murmured. Raising the beer, she toasted herself. "To Sarah, Queen of the Dead."
With night falling and Sarah having enough food to fill her stomach, she decided to stay put for the night. Shutting the door, she moved the dresser over to block the entrance. It wouldn't stop much, but it would wake her if someone tried to get in. Kicking off her shoes, she stripped out of her dirty clothes and pulled on a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and the hoodie. Then she laid back on the bed farthest from the door and turned off her flash light. Sleep rapidly overtook her and she closed her eyes and drifted off.
