Bunch of new stuff on Revelations. It turns out that it's in fact two games coming to the 3DS. Mercenaries 3D is also being released on the handheld as a stand alone unit. Mercenaries 3D is an enhanced version of the Mercs minigame from Resident Evil 4 & 5, there's a first person mode that comes along with it. Revelations also apparently takes place between Resident Evil 4 & 5, which is a pity in my opinion; the series doesn't move forwards enough. Devs at Capcom have stated gameplay wise that they want to give the player a feeling of claustrophobia, paranoia and powerlessness; hopefully they can keep to that design. Oh yeah, and running and shooting AT THE SAME TIME.

Running....and shooting.....in Resident Evil?
IT IS A SIN FOR MAN TO RUN AND GUN IN THE SURVIVAL HORROR GAME!
*Breaks out monk's robe and PSOne Resident Evil game*
If man was meant to move and shoot at the same time, it would have been available from start!
But that is good to hear....I guess.

Yeah, it has met some ridicule. I honestly believe no one has a true idea whether it's a good or bad concept until we can finally play the game though.
From what I've read, the moving and shooting is only restricted to Mercenaries 3D. Revelations will still force you to switch between running and shooting.

If only they could make it for 360 and a few other game systems instead of 3DS. Better then the other Resident evil game they had before on gameboy though so at least technolgy is stepping up a little with gaming.

First person view to aim in Mercenaries 3D.
Edit> And apparently there's walking and shooting in RE: Revelations, only not the same walking and shooting as in Mercenaries 3D. You can strafe while aiming, but that's it, and when you're strafing you can't move the cursor to aim anywhere.
A more official trailer showing off levels and playable characters. I'm guessing there'll be more characters to choose from, hopefully, as 4 seems a little short on the roster.
EDIT> OOOOH, and some Revelations game play as well. Really looking forwards to this game.

That looks pretty wicked, I might just save my money up for when it comes out.

It makes me happy that there is a First Person view. Also the running and shooting has been along time coming

Another new Mercenaries 3D trailer. Starting to get really excited about this game. Found a full gameplay trailer as well with terrible sound and Japanese people speaking and everything. You can see the moving and shooting at its fullest in this plus also the rather interesting inventory system. Still waiting for more characters to be announced; the original promotional artwork had a number of other silhouettes which suggested at a number of characters, but 4 seems like a pretty tight roster at the moment.
Edit> forgot to talk about how the level texture graphics look really washed out, probably in lieu of good character models.

Some hands on time with Mercs 3D from one of the guys from Destructoid. Still don't know the whole character roster, but apparently there's lots, and besides it being a killfest there are 30 'missions' that have you doing other things as well.

I wish I still had enough interest to want this. But I don't. I'm getting a 3DS purely for the Remake of OoT and to give the Assassin's Creed game for it a chance. I can't remember what it's called, "Legacy" or something. Has to do with Ezio going into Jerusalem to study Altair's past...I think, I can't remember I read about it a coupla months ago when I found out about Mercenaries.
Only things awesome about that game is Claire Redfield. D8

You do know these are two separate RE games? Mercs 3D is separate from Revelations, both for the 3DS. I'm more excited for Revelations than Mercs, but it seems Capcom is packing a lot into what was originally considered a simple minigame.
Master Quest for OoT remake is confirmed, by the way ^.^

Yep, I know they're two separate RE games. I was just saying that the only reason I'd want mercs is to play as Claire.
Also, what? Master Quest? I thought it was gonna be the original OoT. Master Quest has harder dungeons. Dammit all to hell...oh well, atleast the Water Temple won't be that bad.
