After injecting some adreniline into her arm he tossed the needle away. “Home?” He asked oddly. “What, you mean back to mom and dad. Mia, you need a gentle touch, not a cage. You might not have seen it but I had to watch as they kept you from living. THAT, and I'd never get to see you again. You know how they feel about me.” Looking through his kit he pulled out a small syringe. “This is a small dose of steriods. It'll give you a boost but nothing toxic. We need to get you to a detox lab.” Before she knew it he injected her with the fluid and once again tossed the needle. Next he pulled out what seemed to be a smoking patch and placed it at her hip.
“This patch absorbs toxins. It's a small fix but will have to do. It should work for a couple of hours.” He then began gathering his equipment. “When I get my hands on this guy he's going to beg me for a bullet.” Keeping quiet he listend to the sounds that echoed in the facility. “How soon do you think you can move. I don't want those things cut us off and trap us here.” He then looked back at the door. “They don't seem to like the heat too much. Maybe that's why this guy shut the heat off.”

"The heat has been cut off for a while," she said as she sat up. Rubbing her arms slightly as she thought of what Alex told her. She wanted to go home, but she also wanted to see Alex. She felt empty without him near her, and over the past couple of years while he was away she felt empty. "Alex," she said softly, but stopped herself from saying anything else. She let out a heavy sigh and rubbed her arm again. "I know that no one understands you, and that's what makes me so mad. Mom and Dad should have tried harder to be more open minded about you." She looked up at Alex and took his hand as he helped her to her feet.
"I'm so glade that you found some kind of outlet for what you need," she said as she steddied herself. She looked back at the door. "We've been having problems with the heat for the past few days. It has actually completly cut out the other day. The heat is finally leaving this place. So I guess that is why there just now coming out." Her eyes then lit up with hope as she looked back at Alex. "That means we still have time to save others, right? Get the generator up cut on some heat."

“Well, I'm no scientist so let's not get our hopes up just yet.” He said picking up his rifle. He then sighed and looked back at her. “Do we really have to go find everyone else? We'll be putting both of our lives in danger for no reason.” Mia then gave him a look to indicate he said something wrong. “.....because it's the right thing to do...” It was almost a question. He had just lost a few of his own team-members, one of which was most likely dead and he felt nothing. He didn't want her to see that. Uplinking his HUD, he began to walk silently down the hallway and gestured her forward time to time.
“I don't need an outlet. It's just a job. They needed a guy like me working for them. They said that I had a gift to not feel anything when faced with the decision to fire on a fellow human. Infected or not.” Coming to a crossway he crouched down turning on his IR as it became darker. All seemed to be clear. Hitting another flare he handed it to her. “This will help you see, please keep it out of my eyes though. I need to see these things before they see us.” Turning his back to her again she could see the large patch near his shoulder. It was a sewn on heart that was black instead of red. Undernieth was his code-name “Black Heart”
Usually I don't hunt intellegent walkers. Once and awhile down in South America. Then you have the new hunters but they can't fashion tools or use weapons. These..things...are unpredictable. I need a longer blade, it's going to be much easier to carve them up the blast away the chords.” When he said that he heard a rattling coming from the pipes. Putting his ear to one he heard a scratching noise. He looked at Mia. “They're making their way this way using the pipes!” He quickly grabbed a valve and began to turn it as fast as he could. “No time to guess which one. Shut them all.”

Mia looked down at Alex's shoulder when she noticed the patch. She reached out to touch his shoulder but stopped. She felt her stomach knoting up when he was talking about killing the walkers. She backed away from him as he moved to the pipe. "Will that really stop those things from moving to another part of this place?" she asked looking around. The rattling in the pipes grew louder as the creatures inside begain to meet a resistance. She looked around as she tried to think of where the pipes went, but in the end her mind drew a blank. "Alex we need to go, please," she said as she tugged on his arm. "I'm really started to freak out here," she said as she gripped his arm tightly. There was a loud echo from behind them as the creatures started to beat on the door again. Soon there was a loud crack before the sound of bending metal echoced through the hall.

"Mia," He said trying to hold onto the valves. "They're faster than us. We have to cut them off." That was when the valves behind them began shooting out like rockets. Alex practically growled as he caught up with Mia and quickly passing her. All he could see was a long hallway that Mia couldn't make and boxes lining the walls. It was then that he stopped spotting a handcart. "Time for a ride." He said to her practically throwing her on the flatbed. Not missing a beat he began pushing it until it matched his own speed at which point he stepped on the edges and held onto the railings. Unexpectadly the door at the end opened and a number of infected came out. "Now would be a good time to test that gun Mia. We're going to mow through but I need you to make it easier to get through."

Mia looked back at Alex with both confusion and fear in her eyes. Looking at the determination in his own eyes she nodded slightly before pulling out the gun he had given her earlier. She started firing at the creatures in front of her. Her hands shaking terribly as she continued to fire at people that she knew and hung out with. The more she fired and the more that stumbled out of the way the more her she felt her tears streaming down her cheecks. When the cart hit them head on she cried out as she covered her head, but like Alex had predicted the cart plowed right through them. She covered her head as she cried.

Once through the door he turned the cart and skidded with his heels to stop it. Activating the heat sensors he drew both D-Eagles, his favorite weapons he had taken from a druglord. Each had a shining silver base with a smooth Ivory action. "LINK G 1 and 2!" He commanded. Instantly a popup showed the image from the minicams on the base of each fire-arm. Without hesitation he darted forward.
Two of the infected had stumbled through the door, four still on the ground in the other room they had just passed through. Alex started by blowing off the right ar of each infected using the specialized hollowpoint rounds. Without the arm they couldn't pick themselves back up giving him the perfect opportunity to move in point blank and fire three point blank shots into each which ripped through like butter. As the others on the other side of the room stood up he grabbed a crowbar one had been weilding, shut the door and jammed it.
"Image down." He commanded returning to normal vision. He quickly made his way to Mia and took her by the hand and tugged. "C-mon let's go." However she wouldn't move. Looking down he saw that she was upset and instantly melted. "Mia...what's the matter? We're okay now. I took care of them. You know I will protect you right. There is no reason to be upset." He said rubbing her arm.

Mia shook her head as she tried her best to whipe away her tears. She had to think of who she was with, and she knew that he would protect her no matter what. Yet no one told her how painful it was going to be to shoot those she cared about. She knew that they were alreay dead, but walking around attacking them and in returing having to fire at them. It wasn't right none of this was right in any way. She gripped Alex's arm as she looked up at him. Momentarly lost in his eyes.
He was trying to be her brother and the best he could be considering. He was trying to understand her pain, but he couldn't feel it. She always wondered if that was the reason why she felt so close to him. He was her emotional wall no matter what. She cried and he hugged her even though he didn't understand it. He was still there for her as he was now. She looked down at the ground and whiped her eyes again.
"It- it's just hard," she chocked slightly on her words. "To, fire upon those you care about . . . to shoot the ones you've known for a long time who become your friends. This facility isn't that big . . . almost everyone here knows everyone," she said as she looked down at the ground. She whiped her tears from her face and stood up. "I'm okay now . . . if we can still save a few it will be worth it," she said as she finally looked at him. "I'll try to be a little stronger . . . sorry, Alex," she said as she looked away from him again.

Trenton had some how escaped the commotion when a pair of hands pulled him into a supply closet. With one of the unidentified hands over his mouth and the other around his torso near his grenades, Trenton grabs his USP and fires two rounds underneath his armpit into his attacker. The arms let go instantly and Trenton spun around to face his unlucky rescuer. The woman couldn't have been older than him, she wore a security uniform but she looked young for B.S.A.A. security. Trenton sighs and checks her pulse. Pressing his comm button for a few seconds Trenton activates his personal frequency. "Sis, we have a problem. There are more advanced infected here. I've seperated from the others but we have yet to locate the scientist. I got a security officer Meryl here. Send her family some flowers and full report on this place. We'll chip down the B.S.A.A. one scandal at a time." Trenton stand up and admires his shots, one in the lung and the other in her heart, he felt bad, but happy he had at least killed her relatively painlessly. Trenton stands up and smiles at his luck, there was a ladder leading to one of the rany buildings inside the ABRAM complex.

Alex tried to look like he understood even though he didn't. He did feel sympathy for his sister but she was asking him to feel bad about killing when he never would. He had put down hundreds of infected as well as Tricell and Umbrella opperatives. Even when told to gather information he made a fatal kill before the target could even plea for life. Alex picked her up and looked back at the fallen infected. "I can handle it if you don't want to engage in combat. Personally, I'm glad we lost the others. They were green and would have slowed me down." He began pressing bullets back into his pistols.
"We need to get to that generator if we're to have a chance at saving the survivors in the facility. Are you feeling good enough that you can lead the way? I can't access the grid so I'm blind down here." He then looked at Alex trying to think of how he could help. "Ummm..." He tried to think up a solution. "I could shoot them all in the face so you don't recognise them."

Trenton jacks back into comm just before hearing Alex talking about losing the others. "Green my ass." he says as he opens the hatch and climbs up into the generator room. "This can't be right?" he says, standing up and examining the generator. Trenton thinks about sending a broadcast but decides it'd be better off if the team assumes he's dead for the time being. Trenton searches the room for any sign of life, finding none he begins work on the generator. Keeping one hand on a flashbang and the other on the systems analyst hardware he had running diagnostics on the generator.

Andreya laughed slightly at Alex's comment. It felt weird to laugh at something like that, but it made her feel a bit better. She wrapped her arms around Alex hugging him tightly, and as always she felt the stiffness in his body. Though to her it felt natural, and as he put his hand on her arm she smiled. Alex was always different from everyone, and she knew that he tried his best to understand her. An in the end his trying was what made her feel better. She stepped away from him and whiped the tears from her face.
"I'm okay now. How about we get the generator running so we can save the rest of my friends." She turned to walk down the hall. "It's not that far from us," she said as she lead the way down the hall. She stopped at another door and put her ear up against it. Listening to make sure no one was on the inside. She finally pushed open the door leading to a small room with a ladder going down and one going up. "The generator is up there," she said pointing up the ladder. "There is no other way out of the room. So we have to be quick and hope nothing blocks this door," she pointed out.

Alex looked around and then up the ladder. Their was no way Mia had the strength to climb it and he wasn't leaving her by herself. "Here." He said grabbing one of her arms and putting it over his shoulder. Hold on. I'll carry you up. Though she was reluctant she probably though he couldn't handle it. With ease he began climbing up. "I've spent time outside the city, going without creature comforts. I've bulked up some since I left for the army and my transfer to the BSAA." Making his way 3/4th the way up the ladder he heard something from the floor they were heading to. Gripping two rungs of the ladder underhanded he pulled out his D-Eagle and pointed up. Without warning he fired off a warning shot. "Step slowly to the edge who-ever you are, and if I don't like what I see you'll be missing a face."

Trenton was almost finished with the generator when a .50 round wizzed past his head. Trenton set the equipment down a little quicker than he intended and left it to finish it's work. "Alex? Was that you?" he says a little paniced picking up his gun and cursing himself for not blocking the manhole he'd climbed up. Not waiting for a reply Trenton gets halfway behind the generator and keeps his weapon trained at the entrance. "Come up, slowly, and keep your weapon pointed at the ground." he says regaining his composure in time for the generator to start humming.
