Lara is so purdy. What I love is that they didn't exaggerate her boobs.
Lara Croft or Nathan Drake? That is the question.

She's Aya's face claim, so theoretically I could pretend she were Aya?

Bahahaha, somebody gets an idea, and then wanys to hype it. Then its like nahhhhhh f**k it, and release it whenever they feel like. Gonna be great. Cept I was getting bored with Tomb Raider games, but this one seems to be doing things different, which is gooooood. Different id good. Same gets boring, different is hit or miss. "Boring" or "Hit or miss" is a flip of a coin. Too much think. Gonna be a good game regardless, cause it looks good so far.

So far so good. This game controls really well. I like jumping around; Lara can leap pretty far, plus jumping onto/off of balance beams. I get the feeling this is going to go towards Rambo predator territory; stalking suckers before planting a climbing axe in their face.
And OMG I'M PLAYING AS AYA, S***'S FO REAL.
>> Tomb Raider: Aya Croft. Buys it now.

Totally forgot about this one, actually. Ill have to check it out sometime. Lost touch with the series, missed too many games, felt it got really repetitive. Maybe it was too linear, I dunno. Heard good things about this one though, so yeah, definitely looking forward to playing it.

Man, this is unlike the other games in the series. This is a full fledge reboot. This is a perfect starting point and I'm certain it's one which will easily carry on with sequels into the future. I'll be damned if I don't get to play around some Nevada mesa ranges as young Lara. It's 100% different to the original titles and the first remake/reboot. The originals were hard to play and hard to master as well, this has more in tune with Uncharted, only it's far more open and dynamic.
Even in combat the AI can be freaky aggressive. Starting off against a couple of wolves, while you're busy taking on one the other might try and flank you. These things are tough to spot in some of the rain swept environments as well. Human enemies are equally as ruthless and really formidable on Hard. With cunning it's possible to completely stealth through some locations, but if you're spotting they'll launch a flare or call out to their buddies and suddenly their force has doubled in size and they're burning the house down around you.
Exploration and climbing about is so much fun. I realize I should be finding some medkit for Roth, but seriously, I have to go climb this thing. Verticality strikes again. A lot of what you can see can be climbed up or over; one derelict, ancient Japanese, multistory home kept suprising me at how much of it I could explore. Originally I'd thought I couldn't make it to the roof, it wasn't immediately obvious how accessible it is.
There are some elements in the environment to help with the nosin' around that you're allowed to use your own intuition against, rather than some tutorial box filling a corner of the screen with "You can climb this hanging crate!" "You can swing on this tapestry!" hopefully this keeps up.
Plus the amount of air control Lara has in her jumps is f***ing ridiculous. It really is enjoyable just nosin' around.

Yeah, full on reboot, thats what I heard, and figured myself. Good to see it actually is. This one seems a bit more raw and mature, too. The other had this comedy to it, I dunno. It was like they were creating the game for a specific group of people or something, most of which were people that just wanted to see Laras tits bounce around and get wet. Which im sure is still there, but its not highlighted. Im really looking forward to playin it now.
