Lance walked past a ruined shop and heard a sound. Lance looked over at the shop with his gun pulled up to gun sight and walked over to it slowly trying to figure out what he heard. Lance looked in and saw a bunch of animal cages with contaminated animals all over the place. Right before Lance turned his head he saw a little half sized pit bull puppy. Lance fought his body to just leave the area so he wouldnt turn back, but his contense wouldnt let him. He stepped into the store while stepping on a bunch of glass while looking around for any broken cages so he would know if their were any infected animals loose in the store but never saw any.
Once Lance got over to the cage the little puppy looked up at him wining. The look the dog gave Lance gave Lance the impression that it hadnt eaten for a while. Lance looked around for a bag of dog food and finally found one in the corner of the store behing the cash register. Lance opened the cage and pulled the dog out and unzipped his coat and shoved the dog inside it and zipped it back up. Before Lance left the pet shop he walked over to the dog food cautiusly and put a couple small bags of dog food in the military bag he had picked up earlier at the pawn shop. Then he high telled it out of there to higher and safer grounds.
(Lance is now at the roof top.)

"Daddy! A pet shop! A pet shop!" J exclaimed. Great, what'll I do now? I'll go up to the door and tell him that they're closed. "OK J, I'll go and get your puppy. Wait here." Rusty told J. "Hooray!" Rusty went into the shop. He couldn't tell his son that the store was closed, and crush his dreams. A cage was opened, indicating that either someone already came, or something got out. Rusty walked in front of the cages, looking at each row and each cage. The animals were mostly dead, probably died of starvation. Poor things. But Rusty heard whimpering. A golden retriever puppy was probably almost dead from starvation. Rusty let the poor thing out and it jumped on him and licked his face. "Good boy, let's get you some food!" Rusty looked around, spotting a bag of dog food labeled: Doggie Kibbles. He grabbed it and went outside. The dog obediently followed. "Cool! Come here Goldie! No, wait. Come here Joggy! No... Hmm..." J stammered. "Don't keep renaming him, he'll get confused dear," Risa scolded softly. "OK Mommy! His name is Barky." J said. Rusty drove off, not noticing the zombie shambling to the car.
( Rusty is now at Von's General Store).

Kal pulled up to the pet store, seeing the closed sign hanging loosely from the door. It wasn't locked, so he went inside. There was a very horrid smell, one that Kal did not recognise. "I'll take a wild guess and say rotting flesh. He looked in some of the cages, and saw dead animals. Some animals were still alive, scratching at the floor or door, whining, or just sleeping. He saw a few animals that looked like zombies, rotted but walking. He guessed that it would be best to avoid them. Looking in the cash register for cash, although Kal swore that it would have already been taken, he found $375.76, and a shotgun under the counter. He took the shotgun and cash, just as a zombie-dog burst out of its cage. Kal blasted the animal, just as it was jumping at him. The dog strained to get up, and then nothing. He heard an animal crying, and saw that he shot a husky. "Aww, I'm sorry, boy. Here, stay still." Kal tried to reach in, but the dog bit at his hand. "Shh, shh, shh," Kal said, trying to calm the dog. The sign said it was 8 months old, and Kal guessed he was about 8 months and 2 weeks, with it still alive. He got it some water and food, and after about 5 minutes, it calmed down. The wound of the crossfire shot wasn't too bad, only a scrape on the torso. He found a collar and tag, and etched the name Fangren into it, and found an extendable collar, some pet clothes, food, a toy bone, treats, and a pack. He put the collar on the dog, cut the clothes, wrapped up the wound, and put the leash on. "Here, Fangren, have some food." The dog responded surprisingly well to the name, and ate the food. He put food and water in the other living non-zombie animals' cages, and shot the zombies with the shotgun. There was no more ammo, but no more zombies would be escaping. "Come on, Fangren. Let's go," Kal said, leading his new ally out of the store. He taped a sign to the door that said: Helpless animals Please take Kal is now at Holley Medical Traige Unit
