The undead were coming fast and strong, and seemingly endless waves. This was the first time in awhile that he alone took on more then a handful of the walkers, and even though he had the skills, it was exausting in more ways than physically. From pushing them back, to slicing them to pieces, Arc made sure they were off Daniels back. After they started swarming him, he started throwing them back with his arms, doing whatever he could to make sure they didnt swarm the both of them before the exit was unlocked.
The moment Daniel had announced that the barricade was open, Arc threw himself away from the infected, sheathing his knife. The pair ran out of the house, only turning back to gauge how many were behind them. "The other two are at the estate, the end of the street. We need to divert the infected away from the street someone, you got any ideas?"

As they drove down the streets of the ghost town that used to be a high class community, the odd feeling that he had had back at the BSSA facility continued to bother him. "Slow down." He told Dalton taking out his muti-functional scope. "They're following us. I can feel it. I've seen these things set up traps before and we've been forced to stay on this road for far too long." Seth then took out his revolver and checked it. "Nova, can you hear anything? We may have disabled the tyrant deployment system but that doesn't mean that the facility wasn't under surveillance." Seth then sighed weighing the options. "If these things are here I'm guessing Tricell set them up. Cleaners have a short lifespan and die off easily. They may be quick but they're weak and half the size as humans. Their spines arn't even fully formed."

Quickly, Daniel thought of anything he could do to direct attention elsewhere, but there was nothing he could think of that would have worked. "Alright, it's risky, but let's try to make it back to my car! Most of these things are surrounding the building, we should have enough time to turn the car on and drive to the estate!" there was a slight sense of fear in his voice, something that didn't show itself very often. As much as he hated to admit it, he knew he was afraid, but who wouldn't be? Knowing that you could die in merely seconds was a frightening thought. Shrugging it off, he tried focusing on the situation at hand.
No longer wasting anymore more time then necessary, Daniel sprinted towards his vehicle. His heartbeat felt like it was bursting through his chest as he ran as fast as he could. Luckily, the undead hadn't surrounded through the doorway, so it was a clear-shot from the house to his cruiser. Quickly, he pulled open the door to his cruiser and hopped inside. Only seconds later, the engine was running and the car was ready to go. "Let's get out of here." he said, as he drove down the clear street towards the Jefferson Estate.
-Daniel and Arcian are now leaving the River Circle Street-

Dalton grimaced and slowed down, grabbing the H&K MP5 and pulling it closer to him. While the truck was armored and could withstand the blast of a roadside bomb, Dalton didn't know how it would hand a virus infected super creature. He also knew from past experiences that if it wasn't the typical zombie, then they would attack him as well. His "changes" only made his immune to the walkers.
He rolled down the window a bit and listened as well. He could barely make it out... no doubt Nova might hear better than him, but he could swear that he heard breathing out there... like something or someone as running hard right next to the window.
But nothing was there.
"Something's coming."

Nova sighed a bit as she looked out the window. "It followed us from the police station. It's the same creature," she said as she studied their surroundings. "I'm assuming that it followed us to the police station as well." She looked out her window as the houses passed by them. Shifting in the seat she rolled down the window before sticking her head out. Looking into the woods she growled slightly. "It's not a sweeper." She said as she looked a head of them. "Dalton stop!" she shouted as the road in front of them gave way

James' aribag failed to deploy as they fell and smashed nose first into a dark hole. They were now in complete dakness but he could feel his broken nose bleeding as a result of smacking his face on the dashboard. Trying to stop the bleeding he tried to open the door but it his something and a slide of dirt came in. "Ok, is there a way out of this solid metal casket?" Looking up he hit the light. "Ok, we are either dealing with a human team with WAY too much time on their hands to build a trap in solid concrete and granite or we're dealing with a real big BOW. On record not many kinds can dig."

Dalton slammed his feet down on the brake as Nova cried out, but the momentum of the truck took them into the ditch that appeared in the road. They were slammed forward, but Dalton's harness kept him from smashing his face as had happened to Shane.
"Out the back", said Dalton to Shane's question about an exit. Already he was punching the release on the harness and climbing through the seats to the rear doors, which were pointing up to the street. He grabbed his H&K G36 and a few magazines and his sword. His Para-Ordinance was tucked in to his holster. He looked over at Nova and then at Shane and put his hand on the door.
"Grab whatever weapons you need." Then he pushed the door open, jumping out of the back of the truck, and scanning the area around the hole. It was a cave in, so an explosive was out of the question. Something must have dug the ground out from underneath them.
A glimpse of movement caught his attention and Dalton spun around to face it.

Nova followed the others out of the vehicle grabbing a bag that was setting to the side. She looked around trying to figure out the noise that she was hearing. It was a scratching noise that didn't make any since. She turned to where Dalton was facing her eyes now realizing what her eyes were seeing. A giant worm stood above ground it's mouth open with thousands of teeth aiming down at them. "That makes since," she said as she eyed the part of the ground where it's body was protruding out of. "The scraping noise that I was hearing and what the dogs were picking up on." She looked around and then back at the worm as it dove at them.
Moving out of the way she turned back to watch it travel below the ground. "It doesn't have eyes. Which means that it moves by sound." She looked at the others. "Any ideas on where to go?"

Shane climbed out of the vehicle. Passing through the equipment he picked up a backpack to hold his suitcase, a laser site and two grenades. Climbing up to the street he dusted himself off. "Well, we were heading to the main bridge but that's too far to make on foot so we have two more options but they aren't as appealing. Do to the season the river has risen so wading across isn't an option. The closest way to cross would take us through a demolition site in the industrial park and enter a sewer system at the busted dam. However that passage passes through the Umbrella "Recycling" complex. Second option is to head to the Big Bear hunting lodge to the river bank where their is a small ferry used by the ranger station to cross into Arklay Forrest. However, going through that area takes us into head-hunting territory. Pycho billionaires like to hunt down human prey in a natural environment. They especially like living game. It's up to you two.

What to do when you have two options that really, and I mean REALLY suck?!?!
"Let's go through the mountains. I'm not getting stuck underground with that worm able to dig through steel and dirt. I'd rather be up here where I can dodge and use my abilities."
Dalton didn't like to leave his ride here. It was his entire life and held everything. Well, he was going to take as much as he could. Walking back over to his truck, he grabbed one of the tactical vests and pulled it on. Then he took a few minutes filling its pockets with extra magazines and tools. He had his two pistols in tactical holsters on each leg, and his MP5 attached to a sling across his chest. He put his sword in its sheath and then finished off his selection with his H&K G36. Lastly, he grabbed a backpack that held 3 days worth of food... well, 3 days worth of food for a normal person... for him, it would last maybe a day.
All of this material would normally weigh a normal person down, but with Dalton's enhanced abilities, he was able to carry it all with no problem.
Grabbing at a 4 pound bag of beef jerky, he started to eat, turning to the others.
"I'm ready."

Taking out his tablet he planned out the map. "M-kay. We have to walk further into the town. About 6 blocks up and four to the west. From their we can easily access a dirt path leading to the hunting lodge." He then looked at Nova who had been silent since the crash. "If we don't want to meet this girant BOW I suggest we hustle. However going into town we're bound to run into plenty of walkers. Maybe less if we can keep ourself scarce but I suggest staying out in the open so we can see the area. Too easy to get picked off by one while hiding in the bushes. Common, let's head out" He said putting the tech away, drawing his revolver and leading the team further into the small town.

Nova grinned slightly as she looked up the street. "That's more easer for you than us. Some of us can hear what's coming our way." She looked up the road a bit before looking back. "And see what's coming. Besides it's clear for a bit and I don't hear anything. Though isn't this a bit much to be trying to get into the lab? Isn't it going to be like the others and just find trouble and more trouble, but no answers?" Nova turned to head up the street leading the other two as they started to pass by some of the houses.

Sighing he looked at Nova. "We both know neither one of us has the luxury of choice in this matter. The truth of the situation is we either get to this facility or die. Neither one of us has the time to locate and transport to another possible location." He then checked the rounds in the revolver. "But I guess I'm being selfish. I didn't want to say anything but I'm almost out of serum. Without treatment I'll be dead before the weeks over. Leaving Raccoon city is a death sentence for me. And if I die you would be next because I wouldn't be around to jump start your cells by creating more G38. We're both on borrowed time now. I'm sorry for the role I played in this. But then again I can't remember how many times I've said that. I'm close to a permanent solution. This lab has the original research. Once I have access to the core information I'll have a clearer picture on just how to fix this."

(Oops, missed my turn.)
Dalton followed Nova and Shane, listening to their conversation. He didn’t know what G38 was or the serum that Shane talked about, but it sounded like they were on borrowed time. He could now see where the determination that Shane had came from. Living on borrowed time put things in perspective and allowed someone to accomplish things that they normally wouldn’t do. He finished off the 4 lbs of beef jerky, feeling better with food in his stomach.
As for walkers, he didn’t care. Since the changes had been forced upon him, they had ignored him… but he didn’t know if that was true of the others. He glanced between the houses as they walk, looking out for anything that would be a danger to them.
“What is G38 and the serum and why do both of you need it so bad?”
