The Forum Guidelines
Welcome to the forum everyone. Please read these guidelines before initiating in any other activity. The following are to be followed at by everybody in order to make sure everybody has fun.
1. There is an automatic curse word masking system for obvious reasons, but finding ways around the masker is not accepted. We respect others. If they have a problem with your swearing, please stop, regardless of filter.
2. No sexual oriented material. Bear in mind that though the Resident Evil world is rated mature, this website may have people offended by such topics.
3. No advertising websites/forums/anything anywhere else other than the Advertise Your Board area. We encourage other websites, so long as its in the right spot, and not spammed anywhere else.
4. Be respectful to others. And to avoid conflict, do not bring up political debate or other very heated discussion topics. Just keep in mind that while everybody is entitled to their opinion, sometimes it best to avoid some topics altogether.
5. Be reasonable and respectful. Follow the guidelines, and keep an open mind about everybody on the site, some people may not appreciate it. If you dont have anything nice to say, then dont say anything.
6. Please be aware everyone is entitled to their opinion, do not tell them their opinion is wrong or whatever. If a nice, friendly debate is to be held, do so via the PM system, away from the public, so long as its kept friendly.
7. Same as above, please keep your personal problems with other members here away from the boards. Handle these things either through your Private Messages here, or through chatting programs. Dont post them on any boards, or in the Cbox.
9. Read all of the RPG guidelines before role playing or creating a character. Each thread can be found stickied to each page, easily found wherever you go for quick access if your not sure about something.
10. Signature width is not a great concern, it may be long but it may not be as long as the stretch the page. 700pixels wide is the virtual limit. If you have an 800x600 resolution then that's you're own problem. Height is a different matter, you will be sent a PM if your signature is too high.
11. If you choose to use the C-box, you must abide by the set rules which you will find further down in this thread. Be polite, and have fun, even if it does get a little crazy sometimes, its always in good fun.
12. If a staff member edits your post for whatever reason, dont edit it further unless youve been told to. This wont happen all too often, but if it does, just keep in mind that the reason behind it is to help you further your character creation. If you have a question about an edit, or if we werent clear enough, please feel free to ask.[/b][/i]
13. Something to keep in mind. We would like to remind all members that everything posted here is generally publicly available. Don't post things of a private or personal nature, because you may regret doing so later. Don't endanger your privacy, or others' privacy.
14. All posts, C-box entries, and other material posted on this website must be in 100% English. No other languages may be used. A little phrase like "hasta la vista" won't hurt, but don't start talking to other site members in any other language, and if you must use a certain phrase, provide a translation. This is a rule straight from the ProBoards Terms of Service and we can't change it, so don't complain to us, please.
15. Of course, no linking to any material that violates any of the above rules. PG-13 is the highest-level content we can allow. In addition to any sites that have "R-rated" content such as lots of cursing, sexual material, etc., we do not allow the following sites to be linked on our website: Ebaumsworld, Newgrounds, and MySpace.
16. Not really a rule so much as a forewarning: If you want to be a staff member, don't ask for a position. We don't add staff that often, and when we do, we know who to look for and who we're going to choose. Sending a PM to the Admin’s isn't going to get you considered for a staff position; in fact, it usually hurts your chances.
17. Any threads that have been stickied and contain the word 'Official' mean they are the only thread of which the discussion in question holds the discussion. If any more threads are created that contain the same type of topic as an official thread then it will be locked and you will be given a warning.
The Warning System
Warnings are given out at our discretion when you blatantly break a rule, break a rule repeatedly, or ignore the word of a staff member. Warnings are issued from 0% to 100% depending on the severity of the infraction. Your warning level is reduced eventually by a Gmod or Admin. If your warning level reaches 100%, you will be banned from Resident Evil RPG.
Please follow these rules, and you will help make RERPG enjoyable for all of us.
