Lmfao, I think Capcom is serious just trying to start s*** about the whole racist thing with people now, bahahahaha... And iCarly is amazing, so this game will be the best in the series.

New information on Resident Evil 6 has emerged thanks to its profile on Xbox Live. The game will have 1-2 players in singleplayer and up to 6 in the co-op campaign. The multiplayer mode(s) will feature up to 8 players when online. An important fact is that Resident Evil 6 is confirmed to indeed be a sequel, set in 2013. However, the description still mistakenly reads as "10 years after the Raccoon City incident", Probably "10 years after Umbrella's Destruction" Other new features: - Walk and shoot - Cover System - Melee Heres the link: www.capcom-unity.com/brelston/blog/2012/02/15/fresh_details_and_new_screens_for_resident_evil_6-Shakku

Well, define the Raccoon City Incident. Maybe its not a mistake. Maybe the "incident" itself lasted longer than we even know. Regardless, fall of Umbrella was the end.

Fall of Umbrella was in Russia, definitely can't get that mixed up with the Raccoon City incident.
I still would not pin it on that vague flashback in the trailer. It's doubtful the president would wait 5 years after saying in such a sincere way, "I'm going to tell everyone everything, ever," not to mention it would be near the end of his second term as president, so he has no reason to use it in a bid to win votes for the next election.
The only conclusion I can come to is that the three different scenarios which have been shown take place in different time frames. Otherwise Capcom has some explaining to do.

I thought umbrellas destruction was during the year 2003. At the end of the game umbrella chronicles you unlock a extra level called "umbrellas end" set during feb 2003 (i just so happen to know about it). Ten years after 2003 is 2013 hence the setting xbox live said. i don't think they would have named it 6 if it was a prequel (devil may cry is an exception)

RelyOnHorror did an awesome article that deconstructed the debut trailer a while back: www.relyonhorror.com/latest-news/resident-evil-news/rehorror-resident-evil-6-secrets-revealed-with-first-trailer/Noted, there are some issues with it; such as the determined nature of how two possible characters are described as Ashley Graham and Alex Wesker, but I can forgive them for that when you consider what else is pointed out. 1. Leon's scenario seems like survival horror that incorporates melee combat, including a fire axe. It seems as well that the player also trades off and takes control of Helena at times. His starting location is in Tall Oakes, but he ends up in what appears to be Sherry and Steve/Alex' starting area. 2. Steve/Alex and Sherry's scenario is about metahuman melee buttkicking and parkour, though possibly also includes keeping Sherry close by like the co-op style of RE5. Kind of like a bizarre divergence into Prototype territory, with Uncharted styled platforming. The start somewhere that appears to be in Europe and end up in China. 3. Chris' scenario is all out, open combat. Find ammo... reload. I also wouldn't be surprised if Chris' scenario was more co-op focussed, but I could see it being optional. He starts off in China and ends up in a war torn European town besieged by a towering juggernaut. On an unrelated note: Could it be that in 6 player co-op ALL of the six main characters are used simultaneously to all converge for the game's climax? I know it's sort of a d'uh statement, but this would mean that this game has three congruent interlocking scenarios, much akin to Resident Evil 2. I'm also foaming at the mouth over the major environments used. There are so many set changes.

Love how the series always went back an forth between characters with each game, and now in RE6 itll have the majors all in the same game, along the the newcomers. I really, reallly love the setting Leon is in. Gonna be a great survival horror feel.

Im gonna say there is no villain, honestly. There doesnt need to be a main villain. But knowing Capcom, they probably ended up making clones of Wesker or something, anyways.

Well in the trailer, hes definitely not portrayed to be the villain, that for sure. Hes probably going to be a good guy, helping the presidents daughter and stuff, ya know. Maybe hell be on the fence about wanting power, and controlling the world, but knows he would only fail like the previous Wesker.
When I hear the word "Villain", I think the character in the story who creates the majority of the conflict toward the protagonist. Definitely not Alex Wesker, assuming its even him.

THE VILLAIN IS THEMSELVES. THIS IS A STORY ABOUT DEEP REFLECTION AND SELF-CONFLICT. not really^^^ This. LMAO Anyway maybe there wont be a single main antagonist. Maybe the infection is the "bad guy". With several stories being told within the city shown, then having several smaller maybe intersecting plot lines could tell the overall story. IDK I just hope they dont try to pull an OMGITSWESKERBACKFROMTHEDEAD/CLONE!!!!
