The bank is also one of Raccoon City's oldest buildings in the east buisiness district. The bank is rather large and luxurious. Every square inch of the place is made with fine oak finish and sterling metals and marble. Well, it used to be a nice place, until the looters had broke in and taken almost everything except the safe contents. The bank is quickly becoming a former shadow of what it once was. The undead bank tellers don't help much, either.

The streets were harder to move through than before. Cars, zombies, police barricades; the city was getting more and more claustrophobic.
Richard and Anna were spending more time running then they should have to. The good news was that they didn't have to run long when something caught wind of them. Necrosis isn't gonna help those zombies win any marathons.
When the pair had made it to Anderson street, they had already been in the red zone for a while. Down the street was the Raccoon City Bank which seemed to be harboring some people from the looks of it. Three armored cars were positioned around it making a makeshift barricade, with gunman lining the gaps between.
"What do you think? Do you think it's safe to cross?" Rich asked Anna as they scoped the place out from a distance.
Anna squinted her eyes a bit before noticing that two of those gunmen were wearing RPD uniforms. She'd smiled widely, relieved. "Yeah, it should be safe. Must've been set up by the RPD recently, there's two cops there!"
"Alright then lets go, maybe they'll have some keys to these bastards," Rich said looking back at his cuffs.
The two started jogging towards the bank. They were getting closer when they heard one of the gunman yell, "Get inside! Hurry!"
Before either of them could however, they heard a loud screech, kind of like a bird caw, but lower and louder. Richard started to turn around to see what it was when a large, reptilian creature landed on his back, slamming his body to the cement. It screeched and stretched it's large, clawed arms at Anna.

When the monster had pounced Rich's back, it'd rose from a crouch and stared Anna down, hissing and raising it's claws at her before letting out a blood curddling screech. The officer nearly froze for half a second, her heart racing as her fingers nearly lost grip of her weapon that at the time, felt extremely heavy.
It wasn't until she'd realized Rich and herself were in peril when multiple howls had surrounded them. Anna tightened her grip again and the color seemingly returned to her face when she'd taken aim and began taking pot shots at the creature. A string of bullets had began to jerk it wildly before the weapon finally clicked empty.
The creature let out another screech before stammering backwards and falling little ways aside from Rich. An entire clip had been wasted on it. She'd immediately ran upto Rich's side and grabbed at his arm, trying to get him up. "A-are you alright, did it hurt you?! Are you okay?! Rich?" she yelled, obviously shaken up.
"Hey! Watch what you're doin!" one of the cops screamed from behind the barricade. Anna looked up at him and then over at where he'd been pointing at. There'd been a larger number of those monsters creeping out from alleyways and some from the very direction they'd just came from. Where were they all coming from?!

Richard's face hit the pavement hard, his face cut on rough asphalt. His head spun around as the thing on his back shifted it's weight around. His eyes swivled around to look at it, but he couldn't get a good look. Rich's eyes wanted to look at everything but the creature for some reason. Maybe it was because it was going to kill him and he didn't want to face it. This wasn't a conscious decision, it was just how his mind was processing everything. He was going to die, but he couldn't if he didn't look at it. It seemed so stupid, but that wasn't what Richard was thinking about at the time.
He wasn't thinking of anything really. His eyes gazed out and saw other reptillian creatures moving out of alleyways and jumping onto cars. Things started to slow down, the noise of everything rose till it was all white noise.
Then gunshots rang out, knocking Rich out of his dizzied state, but also knocking whatever it was off of him. Anna came and picked him up off the ground, his feet slipping over themselves.
"A-are you alright, did it hurt you?! Are you okay?! Rich?" she cried out, holding onto him.
"What the f*ck are you two waiting for?! Get over here!" one of the men yelled.
"Yeah, yeah," Rich choked out, not really aware of what he was saying. His mind caught up to him when he saw one of those monsters running up to them. "Behind you behind you BEHIND YOU!"

Anna hadn't the need to look back when Rich began screaming at her, she trusted him and her instincts entirely. In the long sprint to the barricades, she'd grabbed the back of Rich's neck, forcing him to stumble down to the ground with her, ducking beneath a flying monster. It'd flew over them in a lame attempt to pounce them, then got tangled in gunfire, it's frontside completely shredding up. Before long it's corpse slammed into the ground infront of them, signaling Anna to get back up and start booking it to the barricade once more.
She'd huffed and lagged a little behind Rich in order to shield him from anymore attacks when they'd finally came to the massive barricade of armored bank vans. The officers inside, grabbed ahold of Rich and began to pull him through one of the little gaps between vehicles, Anna turned around and fumbled with a clip she'd gotten from her hip pouch. She'd nearly dropped the damn thing too but luckily grasped ahold of it with that same hand. She'd ejected the empty clip, allowing it to fall and clink against the pavement, then went onto slam it into her gun.
She'd pulled the slide back when the thunder of cracking bullets had caught her attention, there were just too many of the bastards and when she'd gotten a good look at the barricade, she'd noticed how flawed it really was. Her stomach had been in tighter knots. She couldn't die here, not now...she refused to.
Moving back to Rich, she'd escorted him inside of the bank with what looked like several other survivors. She'd managed to sit him down temporarily on one of the cots they had propped up, some of the survivors asking questions that she didn't feel answering.
"Rich...Rich are you okay...?" she asked inbetween breaths. She'd looked him over and noticed the bleeding scrapes he now had on his face. She'd extended a hand out to touch at them but then hesitated, not wanting to hurt him.
"That looks pretty bad...does it hurt really badly?" she asked, worriedly.

Rich gasped and layed down on the cot, his legs hanging off the edge and his heart pounding. Some people within the bank began asking Anna questions.
"What's going on?"
"Are we in danger?"
"When's reinforcements coming?"
"Is my husband okay?"
The questions and people came from all sides. When she tore through them and asked Rich if he was okay, he responded by saying, "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, thanks to you," he said panting. The man smiled up at her from his dirty matress on the floor. Anna smiled back at him when she'd looked on over at the people babbling behind them.
"Anyone have first aid? Oh wait, I brought mine from home, that's right..." she'd grumbled, throwing her bag off of her back and unzipping it. She'd shuffled through it and frowned. "Rich, we can't stay here long, we gotta get the hell out as soon as you rest up and I patch those scrapes up," she said, warily.
"Yeah, but, ow, that stings, one of those cops should have some keys shouldn't they?" Rich suggested as she treated his scrapes.
"Right, right, good idea," she told him, while bandaging him up. When she did, she'd placed a hand on his shoulder. "Alright, I'll be right back, just rest alright?"
"No promises."

Anna stood up onto her feet, wandering back toward the entrance and unholstering her handgun as she did. Looking back, she'd seen two of the women making their way to Rich, blabbing on about God knows what. She'd scowled a little and waved an arm.
"Hey, hey, hey! Give the man some breathing room for f*ck's sake, he just got pounced on by a goddamn monster you stupid b*tches!" she swore. The women immediately gasped and inched away, worriedly.
When she'd gotten back to the entrance, the gunfire had still been going on. The creatures weren't lightening up and from the looks of it, they were running low on ammunition. Infact, one of the officers had been crouching behind the tires, fumbling to find more. She'd taken that advantage to move in closer. When she did, he'd been standing up, reloading his shotgun.
"Hey, you got any keys for your cuffs? The civilian I'm with is handcuffed and I don't have my keys," she yelled, trying to talk over the loud shooting. The man had looked at her strangely, almost as if Anna was some sick pervert.
"I was arresting him when this all started! Now keys!" she screamed. "Alright, alright! Gimme a second!" he'd yelled, holding his shotgun in his left arm and trying to unhook the keys from his belt with his right. Before he could, however, something massive and green swung over the car, swiping at the man. It's claws ripped through his back and sent him clamouring onto the cement.
His shotgun skidded across the floor and before Anna could react, the barricade had been useless. A handful of those reptilian creatures had came climbing over the barricade, screeching like some sort of banshee.
Thinking quickly the woman ran back toward the bank, scooping up the fallen shotgun and reaching for the door handles, slamming her shoulders into the door.
"THE BARRICADE'S DOWN! WE'RE OVERRUN!" she cried out. The survivors in the building began to run back and fourth like chicken's with their heads cut off. Anna shoved some of them aside, trying to create a path to where she last left Rich.
"Rich, we gotta get----RICH?!" she screamed, finding an empty cot. She'd brought her arms up and groaned. "Fffff---!!!"

"Anna! Up here!" Rich yelled down at her from the second floor. "There's some windows up here. We can jump down into the alley beside the building and slip out!" He turned and looked out the window he was by. Down below were some worn out mattresses, trash filled dumpsters, and small, cardboard box hovel.
The mattresses seemed like the best bet. Rich started kicking out windows, shattering oak support frames the best he could. Screams and gunshots mixed with screeching downstairs as the monsters broke through inside the building. Some people heard Richard's call and came upstairs and started helping tear the windows down.
One of the reptillian monsters tried to jump to the second floor, giving them quite a scare, but it fell back down after scratching at the polished oak railing. Soon people started jumping down, helping each other up and moving out of the alley. Rich stalled, waiting by the shattered window.
"Come on Anna, come on..." A screeched shot out and one of the monsters leapt up onto the railing, locking eyes with Richard. "Dammit...!" he cursed, gritting his teeth, turning around and jumping down into the alley.
The mattresses weren't as soft and fluffy as they seemed, and the fall hurt like a b*tch. Something pinched his side, and as he rolled over, he saw that a spring had cut a little into his torso. "Ah sonuva..." he muttered, rolling off into the slightly wet alleyway. He looked up at the window and frowned as he got up.

Anna had been trying to push past the people that were being mauled by the monsters. This was definitely a losing battle and she knew she had to get out. Eventually she'd heard Richard screaming for her from the second floor, problem was, she'd dropped the shotgun rounds she'd looted from a body seconds ago.
She'd scrambled to pick them up and as she did, she'd paused momentarily, covering her ears to muffle the screams. One of the officers there had been shooting at one of the things and then another one of the things jumped on his back, clawing into the back of his head and shoulders. Another person had gotten their chest ripped to shreds, infront of her.
When she'd finally gotten the nerve to grab onto several of the rounds, she'd shoved them in her breast pocket and her pants pockets, gripping the shotgun in both hands. She'd ran through the crowds, swerving around the monstrosities that threatened to bring her down. She hadn't felt it, but her face was drenched in a mixture of blood, sweat and tears. Other people's blood but her own tears.
When she'd ran to the staircase, a hand reached out, grabbing onto her ankle tightly. "Please! Please don't leave me!" a woman screamed, face nearly ripped apart and bloody. Her clothes were ratty and soaked as well. Anna clenched her teeth tightly together as she'd stared into the unfortunate woman's face.
"I-I-I..." she stammered. She'd looked onward to see some of the monsters running at her. She'd tried to jerk her leg away but the woman kept a firm grasp on her, pleading for help. Her help.
Anna shook her head and pointed the shotgun at the woman's face. Holding her breath, she'd pulled the trigger, ending the woman's misery and freeing herself. She'd scrambled up the stairs and toward the windows when one of the monsters that had already been up there, had spotted her.
"No God, please!" she griped, shaking. She'd back up and lost her balance, feeling herself tumble through the broken window and crashing into the dumpster below. Momentarily, everything went black. "....R-Richard..." she'd grumbled.

"Anna get up," Rich said looking down at her. All the other escapees had fled and gone so it was just them two. "Anna, get your ass out of that dumpster!" he shouted looking down into it.
The officer had reached her hands out to grab onto the sides of the dumpster, pulling herself up a little. Her face had been covered in filth and what looks like nicks and cuts. She'd struggled to pull herself up and eventually climbed out.
"Everyone else is dead...." she told him, looking downward at her feet.
"We can't worry about that okay, we gotta get away from here before more of those things come after us, okay? Can you do that?" Rich said, kneeling down somewhat so she could see his face.
Anna nodded reluctantly before turning around to fish out her shotgun in the dumpster. She'd pulled it out and stared at it momentarily, before cocking it. It clicked and the spent round she'd used had flicked out onto the ground.
The two started moving away from the streets where the gunfire had died down and all could be heard was screeching. As they moved down the streets, one of the monsters leapt down from the second floor onto alley.
The two saw it and picked up the pace, Richard running down the alley with Anna behind him, keeping him balanced. The two paced by one of the survivors who escaped. They were laying down against the wall of the bank, holding onto a wound. They seemed to be bleeding out, but they didn't have time to check.
The two kept running, as fast and as far away from the bank as their feet could carry them.
[Rich and Anna have left the Bank]
