One of many Alice In Wonderland inspired fast food chain located in the East District of the city. The walls depict blue skies, fluffy clouds and lush fields that seemingly clash with the red and purple checkered tiles. There are a total of twelve booths and four tables, a counter and the kitchen. The newly blood splattered decor, however, seems to make this once cheery place...disturbing.

[Rich, Anna and Jimmy are now at Wonderland Burger]
The three scuffed up survivors along the sidewalk, each of them breathing hard from their narrow escape from the schoolhouse.
"Dammit, these two shotguns...they're heavy and empty...and at this point feel like dead weight," Anna groaned.
"I'm hungry..." Jimmy said afterwards, holding onto his stomach as they walked.
"I think my wrists are bleeding..." Rich grunted out, feeling something sticky trickle onto his hands. Anna stopped, mid-step to look over Rich's wrists. She'd grimaced, arching her back and lurched her neck back and fourth, uncomfortably.
"Hey! There's a Wonderland Burger, can we go there? Please? I'm really, really, hungry," Jimmy suddenly said, pointing at the restaurant.
"Yeah, I think a little pit stop would be good for us," Rich said, already moving in the burger joint's direction.
"Sounds like a plan. I can drop this load off my back and arms," Anna agreed before biting her lip. "My bad, Rich."
"S'alright."
Jimmy ran forward and reached up at the door handle, pulling open the door. Anna appeared behind him, grabbing at the door and holding it open for the two of them. Rich stepped in, nodding politely at Anna as he passed.
The lights were off, but light coming in through the windows gave the room an eerie vibe. The colorful characters on the walls and brightly colored mushroom chairs seemed strange and unwelcoming in the dim lighting. Regardless, the place was a nice reprieve from the city streets.
"Can you get the blinds Jimmy, and Anna, can you check out the back room and make sure we have some privacy? I would, but ya know..." Rich said, walking up to a table and sitting down on it. He laid back onto his side, giving his feet and arms a rest.

Anna placed the shotgun down atop of a table nearby, allowing the sling and her bag to slide down into the crease of her arm, where she'd lightly dropped them on the chair.
"Alright," she said, unholstering her Colt and wandering on toward the back of the kitchen.
Jimmy had went to work, closing the blinds and blotting out the lights from outside, he was a little nervous, unsure of what was going to happen to him now. His mother was gone and he didn't have a father. All he had now were two strangers he barely knew.
The little boy sighed a little and felt his stomach rumble. When he finished the last window, he'd hopped off the chair and walked back over to Rich, placing his hands on the table. Before long, he'd spotted the colorful play area and looked over at Rich.
"Can I go play over there?" he asked.
"Yeah, uh, hold on," Rich grumbled before sliding off the table. He followed the boy over to the playground and sat down close by to keep an eye on him.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Anna had been rolling her arm around, trying to soothe the soreness in both her shoulders and her arms. She hadn't seen anything worrisome so far, just some cooking tools sprawled around, some cold grease and baskets...
"Ho'sh*t," she suddenly said, moving around one of the counters to find a body. The corpse was sitting upright, leaning against another counter, a spray of blood behind his head and a handgun in his grip. The blood looked fresh.
Moving closer to it, she'd knelt down and grabbed his handgun, sliding it away from his grip and then took immediate notice of the badge and handcuffs on his waist. He was an RPD detective. She'd shuddered slightly while rummaging through his jacket pockets in high hopes that there'd be a set of keys.
A slight jingle and she'd pulled out what she'd desperately been searching for since she met Rich. She'd grinned widely and stood up, dropping the keys in her back pocket and looking around for a place to move the body. Eventually, she'd grabbed under both his arms and drug him over to the maintenance closet, shutting the door behind her.
"Rich!" she called out.

"Yeah, what's up?" Rich asked, hopping off the table and turning to look at her. He could hear the excitement in her voice, it didn't sound like the terrified screams he'd been hearing since this started. Anna had walked over, reaching behind her back. "Guess what I found while I was in the kitchen?" "I dunno, some burgers or a bazooka or something?" he asked, as he stepped towards her. "Uh...no..." she said glancing over at Jimmy and then at Rich. "I found a corpse back there. Some guy shot himself."
"Well uh, that's... not all that great," Rich responded, unenthusiastically. Anna shook her head. "No, no it's not," she began before putting her hand up, jungling a set of handcuff keys in her fingers. "But this is pretty awesome."
"Holy shhhhhhasta! Oh my God, get these off, this is freakin' awesome! How did you find them?" he said, incredulous as he turned around. Anna carefully grabbed one of his hands and unlocked the first cuff, smiling.
"The corpse was a detective, he had a set of cuffs and keys on 'im," she explained, unlocking the other one in the process. "How's that? Feel better?" she asked, smiling.
Richard held his hands out in front of himself and turned around so Anna could unlock the other cuff. His wrists torn up, his flesh and skin were looking pretty messed up, and his arms were sore from having them stuck behind him for two days. Still, it felt nice to be free once again.
"Better, much, much better... thanks Anna, but I think we might have to wrap these things up before they get infected..." he said, concerned, but relieved.

"Already on it," Anna mentioned, going for her bag. Grabbing ahold of it, she'd sat down at the table near the play area, pulling the tin box out and setting it up on the table. Glancing over at the small boy tangled in some of the colofrul netting, she'd smiled.
"Hey Jimmy, got Rich out of his cuffs," she said, pulling some gauze out. The little boy had gotten one of his legs and arms all wrapped up when Anna called out to him. He looked over at them and nodded a bit, trying to untangle himself. "Neat."
While Anna went on to clean Rich's wounds, she'd reached back to scratch at the back of her head when she'd felt the newly coarse, choppy ponytail. "Aw man...I forgot about that..." she groaned, frowning.
"Your ponytail saved your neck back there, heh heh," Rich punned, hoping to cheer her up.
Anna sighed and nodded a bit, going back to working on his wrists. "I'm gonna hafta cut it pretty short though so it'll grow out evenly...this is gonna sting, like, alot, by the way," she suddenly said, pouring a little anti-septic onto one of his wrists. Rich squinted in pain as the medicine touched his flesh before saying, "Man, they have any training courses at the RPD for emergency hair management?"
Anna laughed lowly, keeping her eyes down on her work. "Alright, alright, I laughed...." she finally said, wrapping gauze around his left wrist. "So where to next after this? I was thinking we camp out here for the night. Jimmy's hungry and he must be exhausted. Same for you and me," she mentioned.
"Yeah, it'd be nice to get some R&R... but you think it's safe here? I mean, it's not exactly a military base, this place..." Rich said, gazing at a painting of a mischevious purple cat. "We could always rest up and head back to your place."
Anna took to wrapping his other wrist up next and sighed a little. "Damn...that's one helluva walk though. Think the kid can last another four blocks?" she asked, concerned.
"Jimmy's full of energy, ain't ya Jimmy!" he called out to the energetic little boy. The boy's head suddenly popped up from the ball pit, four multicolored balls rolling off of him.
"Uh-huh!"
"See? Now I'm not saying we have to go, but I'd feel an awful lot safer sleeping behind a gated community, an office, a flight of steps, and a locked door. This place is a good pit stop, but those windows..." he gestured to the front of the restaurant, "...and back door out of this place aren't gonna do a whole lot if those skinless freaks come a knockin'."
Anna sat back in her chair, folding her arms and leaning the chair backwards. "Yea, I thought about that too...I'll be honest, I didn't feel like dragging all this sh*t back to the apartment tonight. Not to mention that CHUM is still out there." she said, smirking.
Rich had to chuckle at that. He held his wrists a little and started moving his arms around to get the kinks out. "Well, now that this little problem was taken care of, I can help you with that. But before we hit the trails, we got to get some fuel in the engines."
"Rich, please, not infront of Jimmy," Anna said, looking over at Jimmy who so happened to be walking up to the table.

"I'm not talkin' 'bout that, I'm talkin' about some good ol' grease, salt, and oil. I've worked in the back diner like this when I was younger. Can't say I enjoyed the experience, but I think I still know how to work a grill..." Rich said getting up and stretching his body out.
"Yeah, I worked in and out of these crummy burger joints when I was a teen. I can give ya a hand," Anna told him, trying to pull her legs down from the table. The back legs of the chair slid farther back, causing the chair to fall completely back with Anna in it, waving her arms. "OHSH*T!"
Rich reached out for her, but not fast enough to stop her from hitting the floor. "Oh man, you okay Anna?" he asked as he helped her up, grunting as his muscle strained. He needed to move his arms around more to get the circulation right.
Anna groaned and rubbed at her tailbone, frowning. "Yeah, I'm fine...Urgh...My ass just stings."
"S'alright, the tips are worth it."
"What?"
"What?" Rich said innocently.
...
"Hahahaha!"
Rich smiled and chuckled himself before looking over at Jimmy and saying, "Come on Jimmy, we're gonna make you a fast food feast."
The little boy's eyes lit up. "Really?!"
"Course, c'mon," Rich said walking off towards the kitchen and swinging his arms about as he walked. Anna and Jimmy followed behind him, happily.
"Oh hey, try not to uh, hang around the Maintenance Closet in the back. There's some baggage in there..." Anna told Jimmy and Rich.
"Alright, you're the boss," Rich said, as he pushed open the doors to the kitchen.

Anna and Rich had quickly went to work hauling some frozen goods upto the friers. The food was mostly chicken nuggets in the shape of tophats, possibly to symbolize The Mad Hatter. Unfortunately, the oil was so hot, Anna had burned the first batch.
"I think they're still edible, whaddya think, Jimmy?" she asked, showing him the charred nuggets. Jimmy held both of his little hands over his nose and mouth, looking almost appauled.
"Sure..." he muttered, sadly.
"Anna... don't be so cruel," Rich interjected. "Don't worry Jimmy, you won't have to eat those, we'll cook up some more... tastier ones."
Anna casted a glare at him. "These are perfectly good nuggets, give the boy some hair on his chest!"
"The boy doesn't need mutant nuggets sprouting hair all over him, what he needs is food!"
Anna dumped the nuggets in a nearby trash bin and grumbled. "....what he needs is food, blah blah b*tch b*tch blah...." she mocked under her breath. "Don't be such a boyscout, Rich," she said, smirking.
Jimmy whom was standing a safe distance from the friers had stifled a chuckle at the playful banter.

Rich had started up another frier and started cooking up some fries to go with their meal.
"Don't worry Jimbo, I'll get 'em right the first time, so you won't be hungry long," he said smirking back at Anna.
The officer rolled her eyes and started wandering around the kitchen. "Hey there's some toys here," she said.
"Really? What movie are they shillin' now?" Rich asked over the noise of oil bubbling. Jimmy had made his way over to the box of toys, peeking inside of them. "It's Mulan, my mama was gonna take me to see it this weekend," he commented.
The room got uncomfortably quiet...
====================================================================
"Daddy, I'm hungry."
"It's alright sweety, look there's a Wonderland Burger. Think we can stop for a bit?" "...I don't know....There's broken police tape, what if there's something inside?" "You're probably right. Well lets keep moving then for now, maybe find us a movie theater or something..."
"Awww..."
"Come on, sweetie, let's keep walking."
John, Katherine, and Kylie have come and gone.

After the awkward silence in the kitchen, Anna had shuffled through the toys with Jimmy while Rich finished up the cooking. Sometime inbetween, she'd kept hearing a creaking from above. She figured maybe it was just an old building, maybe it was settling...but that couldn't have been it. It's a restaurant. She'd occasionally glance upward at the ceiling when it happened, but she didn't see anything but a large crack, it didn't seem too dangerous.
"Hey Rich, the food done yet? We're starving over here," she said.
"Almost, gotta let it cool for a bit, don't want you guys burning your mouths off," he said, laying the fried gold atop a cooling rack.
As soon as he'd said that, the creaking had appeared again and a little white powder, most likely plaster, had shifted down over the stove, popping in the grease.
"The hell....?" Anna muttered, placing her hands on Jimmy's shoulders. Another crack and then the walls began to tremble and sure enough, the ceiling cracked further.
"Rich!" Anna screamed, grabbing at Rich's arm pulling him back as the ceiling caved in and over the stove and the food. With it, came atleast a dozen corpses in construction gear.
"Aaah... F*CK!" Rich screamed, petrified as the corpses began writhing and twisting, reaching out in every direction.
Jimmy had yelped, grasping onto Anna's side, anxiously. "Sh*t! Sh*t sh*t sh*t!" Anna exclaimed unholstering her sidearm from her hip and sending off two shots at the pile.

Rich looked at the pile of bodies transfixed until two loud gunshots woke him from his stupor.
"There's too many, come on, out the back!" he called out, pulling at Anna to follow towards the rear exit. Anna grabbed ahold of Jimmy's arm ready to book it out the back after him when she'd grabbed at her shoulder, hoping to find her bag.
"Ah sh*t, my bag! I left it in the front with the shotgun!" she said through clenched teeth. "I'll go get it, you and Jimmy head out back, I'll catch up!"
Rich, already holding the back door ajar, looked back to see Anna sprinting off towards the front of the store. "Anna! Dammit! Jimmy come on, after her!" he said giving chase. The undead began rising and falling over each other, spreading across the backroom floor, forcing Rich to jump aside a little to avoid getting his ankle grabbed.
Jimmy stumbled a bit behind Rich before getting upto his side. "Anna wait!" he yelled.

Anna had made it upfront, grabbing her bag from the table and quickly slinging it over her shoulder while reaching for the shotgun with her other hand. As she did, she'd noticed Rich and Jimmy entering the dining area, calling for her.
"Goddamn you're stubborn! C'mon, hurry, hurry!" she shouted, waving her arm at them and bolting toward the door. She pushed it open and and held it that way for Rich and Jimmy to dip out when a zombie had come bursting into the room after them.
Pressing her shoulder into the door to keep it open, she'd taken a shot at him, nailing it in the hardhat where it barely dented and bounced off.
"Aw what?! F*CK YOU!" she exclaimed, giving it the finger before leaving out of the building altogether. As they did, the other corpses had came scrambling into the dining area soon after.
After running about a block away from the restaurant, Anna had stopped in a conveniently deserted intersection. Nothing but abandoned cars inhabiting the four-way. Placing her hands on her knees, she'd bent over slightly, catching her breath.
"Jeez...I guess...it's a good thing....that I didn't...have those fried nuggets...." she joked, huffing a little.
"F*cker's smashed my fries... man..." Rich said, exasperated.
Jimmy had seemed to be the only one of the three, perfectly fine. "I'm still hungry," he said, sadly.
Anna stood up straight and placed her hands on her hips. "It's alright, kiddo...Maybe we can get somethin' somewhere else not filled with surprise zombies." she told him.

"Cold day in hell, that..." Rich grumbled. As they caught their breath Rich perked up at something, strange. "Hell is that noise?"
It sounded like a... scrap metal hurricane? It sounded loud, and it was getting louder. Anna and Jimmy both looked around, probably wondering the same thing. Suddenly, Jimmy covered his ears as the noise gotten louder.
"What is it?!" he yelled over the noise, grimacing. Anna winced and cringed. The answer barrelled over a nearby fence, destroying it and crashing through several cars as it charged straight at the three of them.
"It's a f*cking semi-truck!" Rich said reeling back and instictively running away from it. Anna immediately scooped Jimmy up and ran off after Rich, screaming her lungs out.
The semi and it's cargo trailer tore through the mess of cars, destroying everything in it's path as it swung back and forth across the street.
"In here! Get off the street!" Rich yelled, clambering over a car and crashing through the front door of the nearest building. He could barely hear his own voice over the screeching sound of the hellish truck.
[Rich, Anna and Jimmy have left Wonderland Burger]
